Close a VI template

My VI works well, however when the .vit opens front panel, this doesn't close with the button "CLOSE" because the program has been stopped. It seems as the vi template executes and stops. I don't know how use the button "CLOSE" to close front panel while the pop up is running and, at the same time, appears severals pop up (each pop up for each number).

Use the method run on the .vi reference inside the main vi
Use a event case inside the .vit that waits on the stop button, then close the reference and the fp
One tip: wire the value in the .vit straight into the case selecter and add for every range another string.

How do I add a new worksheet to an excell file utilizing a template with the report generation toolkit?

Hello,
My vi is gathering data from a piece of machinery. At varrious points durring the process, my vi must create printable reports. I am using the report generation tool kit to do this. What I want to do is for every report generated durring the run, add it as a new worksheet in an Excell workbook. My excell template works fine for the initial master report and I can add new data to new worksheets. What I am having a problem figuring out is how do I add the new data to a new worksheet using an excel template? I have 5 different reports that need to be generated at different times with some more often than others. I would like all these reports to be in the
same master excel file. Thanks in advance

Hi Greg,
There is no built-in support in LabVIEW to add a new worksheet to an existing Excel report simply because this functionality does not exist in the Excel application itself.
My suggestion would be to open up the template you wish to use for the new worksheet. Copy the cells from the template and paste them into your new worksheet that you've created. Then close the original template and you have another copy of the template in which you can populate with data values.

Error while loading the Web template "0ANALYSIS_PATTERN" (return value "4")

I activated all 0* objects in BTMP and checked that they are all activated, but I found errors when opening the BEx Web Analyzer
Error messages :

So I ran RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70 (0ANALYSIS_PATTERN) version D report to check and choose validate.
Error messages :
Template Include Item HEADER_TEMPLATE unresolved or empty. Close and reopen template.
Template Include Item FOOTER_TEMPLATE unresolved or empty. Close and reopen template.
Width of object item:GROUP_ITEM:GROUP_ITEM_1 is very small (1amp;1)
Query does not exist in the BI System (Object QU )
Cannot instantiate data provider
I also ran RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70 (0ANALYSIS_PATTERN) version A and got the following errors:

Error facing after installing a template from BI Content.

Hi,
I installed a web template '0TPL1_SR_GL_DASHBOARD' from BI Content. In Grouping tab I selected 'only necessary objects' and clicked on Web Template becoz I already have queries activated in BI.
But While checking that in WAD I could see the template name but Web Items are not dispalying.and an error message
'Template Include Item TOP_INCLUDE unresolved or empty. Close and reopen template.' is dispalying.
Need your help in this regard. Please let me know if I missed anything while activating.

Hi,
A default template is designed to be executable with any query or query view.
Consequently, the data provider definition in these templates contains an empty data provider tag, which is then filled via the URL that provides a query or query view id.
So, it is natural that a data provider of these templates can neither be found nor instantiated.The behaviour is perfectly fine as it is.
Please apply the latest SPS and test the issue again.

WLST Domain Creation using JRF template throws SQLRecoverableException

I am working on domain creation using templates and included the JRF template to use OPSS functionality.
I have run the RCU utility to create the required components that will have necessary tables to host OPSS data and also tested that it works with CC_STB user that i will use to connect from WLS.
I am able to ping the database server having RCU components from the VM where i want to create and configure the domain but when i configure the LocalSvcTblDataSource with the same ip address and try to setup the OPSS datasources, it gives me "Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: Unknown host specified Error Code: 17002"

Please activate all BEx Web templates (BTMP) that begin with '0'. Please activate all Reusable Web items (BITM) which' begin 'with '0'. After this you should restart the J2EE Engine. This will solve your problems.
Regarding the note - It means that the issue "Object 'BTMP:0ANALYSIS_PATTERN' refers to the invalid object 'QU:" can be ignored now. This error message will not come in SP14 (whenever its released).

How can one Delete a Template in Pages

Can any one advise me how to delete Templates in Pages on my MacBook Pro?

Not sure why one would want to delete a template?
You can close out the Template Chooser by hitting the red button.
If you go to applications>iWorks>Pages> and control click on the app>this opens PackageContents>>Contents>Resources>Templates
You can delete here. I would not advise it. I would have a back-up of your Pages.app or a system back-up incase something goes awry.

Excel busy when I try to modify a template of MS Project visual report

(Sometime) when I try to modify a xlst template for MS Project (2013) visual report MS Project say me that excel is busy.
But Excel is closed. I try to close and re-open bot excel and MSProject but say me always that cannot open visual report (based on my custom template) because excel is busy.
In my template I inserted also an external connection to other data (coming from another database).
The template is populate with "visualize report" ....
Also If I try to modify the template (using MS PRoject function) MS Project say me that MS Excel is busy...
I used that template sussefully... but when I make some update to template file (for example add a table o a simple text) then MS Project is not able to open excel file.... but I don't understand why. So I have to rollback modifies and take previous template
version.
[Note:] could be something related to which sheet (of template xlst file) has focus on when saved?

Additional info: When I open the Web Template in Web Application Designer, I get some errors. I corrected some of them by reactivating the BI Content version, but some still remain.
Strangley the test system doesn't show the same behaviour although the Web Template are both active and not modified. (Opening BEx Web is working on test system.)

Classic report - Condition evaluated for every row

I am seeing something strange in a classic report region. A report started to fail at run-time with a strange error about bad syntax. When I run the page in debug mode, I see the following

Looks like the APEX engine is evaluating a boolean expression after rendering and each and every row in the report. And for some strange reason, it is using a piece of data from my query's resultset and failing because of the bad syntax introduced due to the single-quote in the string.

Howdy Paul, sorry should have provided all the details. No, this is a standard generic column template. Ah, you are right, drat I should have looked closer. The template has use a condition to show either a highlighted row or normal one. Sorry for the false alarm, I can take it from here. Enjoy your flight :-)

Creation of Weblogic Domain in console mode not working

This vaguely means that its trying to open a GUI wizard, which is not what I intended to do. The argument -mode=console should run the installer in console mode, but its trying to launch it in GUI mode.
I searched online, but I have not found anything useful on this issue yet.
Am I missing something? Has anyone faced this problem before.
Any thoughts on this would be helpful !!

Weblogic 12C (12.1.2 to be precise), currently does not support console mode Domain creation. It supports only GUI mode and Silent mode.
Possible solution to create a 12.1.2 Weblogic domain fully qualified enough to deploy ADF Applications :
1. Install Xming, and enable X11 forwarding on Putty
2. Silent Mode installation: The Configuration wizard. ./config.sh -mode=silent -silent_script=xyz . Yes, it needs a silent script, not silent.xml. I did not try this way and instead resorted to WLST. Still there are not enough blogs that clearly tell you how to install domain based on JRF template. I stumbled upon a similar OTN forum post.

Late Binding Word Automation creates a document with an unresponsive Ribbon

I have a .NET ActiveX COM object that is calling Word and adding a template for processing. This template will get some data and then add in a layout template which will create the final document with the data and layout.
When it is all said and done, the Word document has all the data, however, when the user tries to access the ribbon (click on one of the tabs or an item in the visible ribbon), nothing happens (like it is disabled). You can click into the document
itself and if the document has bolded text or something like that the ribbon changes to reflect the changes in font.
The only way for the ribbon to become responsive is to either minimize and reshow Word or select another application and then back to Word. This "unlocks" the ribbon and you can interact with it.
I accidently left in a reference to Word 2010 when I was testing something and then the code I have worked. I went back to late binding and removed the reference to Office 2010 and it does not work even though none of my code has changed. The
Word constants/enums I am using were already locally created and the methods I am using have the either no parameters or the appropriate parameters provided as far as I know.
In the code snippet below, the line "officeApp.ActiveWindow.Activate()" is what worked with early binding to
cause the ribbon to be responsive immediately and allow the use to interact with the ribbon with no additional steps. With late binding nothing seems to work.

Did I miss any step? Does the issue exist when you didn't run the "RunReport" macro?
Also I notich that the template is working in a compatibilty mode, is it helpful that convert it via File->Info->Convert?

SQL extension for XSLT

Hi,
I am working on SQL extensions on XSLT using xalan SQL Library. My requirement is to insert some data which comes in the form of XML to one of our tables. I tried to write a sample XSLT to retrieve the data from the database (thought I can change it to insert once I succeed retrieving data). The XSLT is not working. I think I am able to connect to database successfully but not able to retrieve any results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No idea. You didn't mention pquery in your original post, and I don't even know what that is (even after googling it).
Anyway, your problem is the same as in your first post. You haven't done your research. All you know is it's "not working". Find out in what way it is not working and then post a detailed question.

Popup to submit on url redirect

No one seems to have solved this issue: I need to perform a submit to insert a row into the database then close the popup (e.g. provide feedback).
I've tried a few different things but the basic problem seems to be I can either close the popup OR submit but not both.
Calling popup with standard "CallMyPopup()" url
The "Save and Close" button does a redirect to url: javascript:saveandclose()
In the HTML header I have:

I don't understand, what was wrong with your SaveAndClose() function on the popup page?
As I said earlier, that should work fine. There is no need to set flags and write onload's to close the window and stuff.
Update:

Click on the Edit link on any row to get a popup window where you can edit the row.
Click on the Save and Close button on the popup window and it saves the changes to the row, refreshes the calling window and closes itself. Works fine. The code behind the Save and Close button is just as you stated

You don't seem to need the calling window to be refreshed, so you should be fine.

BI report in CRM

I am working on some queries which are using in CRM 7.0. I found most BI queries are 3.X version which are using in CRM. I just wonder how the 3.X queries can be displayed like 7.0 look in BI query?
For example, the BW 3.X web template 0TPL_0MKTG_C01_Q0002_V01 is used in CRM and the query is 0MKTG_C01_Q0002. I just wonder how can I display the query in 7.0 look in CRM? If migration is the only option, how can I migrate web template?
I just wonder how do you guys handle BI reports in CRM? since most of them are using 3.X objects. do you migrate all objects to 7.0 including datasoruces, DSO, infocube, queries, web templates etc... or just keep using the old versions? Thanks again.
