Close window after execution

Hi! I have read the "Distributing Applications with the LabVIEW Application Builder" tutorial and followed the instructions on how to develop a stand-alone application. I have added my VI to a project and built an application specification (EXE). My problem is that after I have run the exe-file, I would like the program to close, but instead a window, much like my exe-file appears, but with a toolbar and a run- and abort button. How can I change the settings so that this window doesn't appear?

To get this property node, do following.....
.place a property node (general), select right click on that. go to select class-->VI server-->VI-->VI
Then left click on the property, FrontPanel window-->Open
then right click on the node and select " change all to write".
No Quit LabVIEW in one executable should not have any influence on another LabVIEW executable. A LabVIEW executable is a single process and what you do in there will not influence other processes, unless you do something specific like interapplication commmunication.

Mail In Full Screen Closes Window after Sending

I love using mail in full screen.
When I send a new message or reply to a message the Mail window closes out of the full screen and closes the mail window. How do I get the window to stop closing after I send or reply?

I found out what is was. I had serial mail try to send about 200 emails. Something went wrong (not sure whether it is lion compatible) and there were a load of unsent emails somewhere in the background. Funny thing was they were not showing anywhere, just when I tried to close window, an unsent message popped up.
Anyway, force quit mail as I could not be bothered to find out how many mails had not been sent, and on reopening all back to normal

Firefox closes windows after they are opened when transfering data.

I open some sites and Firefox closes the window after it is opened. It happens on various sites, and now just on Amazon.com. I can open a news site, search for a story, open the story and it then closes.

What i want to do, is automatically close the window after the record has been processed.
When I add "javascript:window.close()" to the Button's URL, it closes the window. However, this does not work on the Branch option, which is called after the processes.
I also tried the option that's mentioned in the "how to create popups" tutorial, with a piece of javascript in the header (a simple function with a close() in it), which is called by the branching process. This doesn't work either. I get a "This page cannot be displayed" page.
So my question is: how can I automatically close the window after the record has been saved?

Simple PopUp Close Window after Saving

(I did some seaching on the forum and didn't find a solution.)
I have a PopUp window (called with the popUp2() function) which I would like to have close when a person clicks the save button in the PopUp, therefore only showing the main page.
(I have an application that the user can enter general comments in. They want a window to pop up for the entry of their comment(s) and close after they enter and save them. Automatically 'returning' to the main page they were on. When they click the Save button it simply saves their comments into a comment table that is associated with the main tables of the application.)
How is it best to close the PopUp window in the scenario I described? A DML process is saving the changes. I assume that's a server process, so javascript to close the window won't work there. I was gonna add a branch to close the window, but branches are server side too.
Not sure how to best go about closing the window after table changes are saved. I bet it's something simple, but I'm not seeing it. :-)

Hi Monica,
Since the form is not submitting to the database try the other option I gave you.
Remove the javascript from the SAVE button, set the Target to -No Target -.
I assume you're using an Automatic Row Processing (DML) that saves the data to the database?
If so, after that process, create a PL/SQL process using the following:

Under the Conditional Processing for this process, select the 'SAVE' button (When Button Pressed).
Remove any branches you have on the pop up page (assuming you have a branch that takes you to page 24).
When you click the SAVE button, the DML process will run, saving the data to the database. Then the second process you just created will run which will close the pop up window, then reload the 'parent' page.

In Tiger, I would file away items on my desktop my dragging them to the hard drive and then digging down to the appropriate folder. The finder window would then close automatically after dropping the file. Is there a setting in Snow Leopard that will enable similar functionality? Whenever I complete a drag and drop now the finder window just stays open, which isn't a huge issue, but I'd still like to change it. Thanks!

Illustrator CC 2014 closes immediately after it opens (Windows 8.1)

Not only the Illustrator CC 2014 but other CC 2014 Apps as well closes after it opens.
It doesn't show any error message or something like that. It's more like if I have clicked at the "close window".
The Illustrator load itself, opens and before I can do something it immediately closes.
I saw an error in the forum with some Wacom tablets but I've tested it with a single mouse and the error persists.
I've just installed the CC 2014 update and now I can't run any Adobe App.
I'm using Windows 8.1, but didn't find any topic about error occurring that way.
Please help me.

If it is Illustrator CC 2014.1(18.1.0) and you are using Extensis Suitecase Fusion then please try following solution given in the article.

Close Window.Open after InfoPath 2013 submit form

Hi,
I've made an InfoPath 2013 'new' form in SharePoint 2013, but when the form is committed, it should close. So I've made a button on the form to submit it. In the rules in InfoPath, I said that it should close after submitting.
I open this form from another internal application as a window.open() javascript. In IE, it opens the form, when I submit, it stays open and the SharePoint list where the data is added to is opened too. However, in Chrome, it opens
the list in the same window after submitting, which is already slightly better.
My InfoPath rule when I submit:
So the idea is that the internal application opens the form thru a link, user fills in the form, the form submits to the list and every window closes, so the user can continue in the application, without seeing anything the SharePoint is doing in the background.
Hope any1 can help me solve this issue.

Thanks for the reaction. I've just checked these links:
The first one: I don't have any rules set to change the view of the list, so this isn't the case.
The second: As you already see in the screenshot, I've set the submit to the right action.
So, I guess neither of them are a solution to my problem, but thanks already for answering!

Can i retain my app tabs & tab groups in new firefox window after i close one ??

Just upgraded to Firefox 5 and used the awesome features of app tabs and tab groups, but ah ! i closed my browser and when i opened it again, everything was lost. :(

But when I select the option to empty everything when I close Firefox I can chose what is deleted
- Cookies
- Download history
- Cache
etc...
There should be an option for pinned tabs. Especially because this tabs are not simple tabs but tabs you want to keep.
The only solution I have found so far is to keep emptying everything and to ask to Firefox to start a folder of bookmarks as my homepage (homepage <=> several URLs separated with | )
But it opens wide tabs and not small pinned ones :/

How to close browser window after flushing a file to the browser?

I have this simple JSP, which flushes a String to the browser as a file (message.txt). The JSP gets opened in a new window when the user clicks a link.
The problem is that after the JSP has run, the browser window won't close automatically. I've tried adding a small javascript to achieve this, but i doesn't seem to even get run.
How can I close the browser window after the JSP has run?

Auto-close print queue windows after my job finishes?

Whenever I print something, a window for the printer opens up showing me the current print queue. That's great. What's not-so-great is me having to keep on closing those windows after they open.
Is there a way for those windows to close themselves after my print job finishes?

Thanks! (I haven't actually tested it yet, but I did bring the printer up in the dock and set the "Auto-Quit" function, so it at least seems plausible that it will work.)
