  • Termination Date Service Contracts 12/30/1899

    I have a problem with WT Service Contracts that came from B1. 
    All contracts show a Termination Date of 1899-Dec-30.  I confirmed the TerminationDate Column in the SupportContract table does indeed contain this date.
    Contracts that have a termination date are considered closed. in B1.  Since these contracts are not closed the contract date should be empty.
    I can clear out the TerminationDate Column in the SupportContract Table, but that won't help future contracts that come into WebTools.

  • Verizon, this is why I am leaving.

         I am writing because I can't seem to get an idea across to any customer service agent I speak with, but before we go down that road, let me tell you why I have to go to another carrier.  I bought my first phone with Verizon nearly 2 years ago, it was the first Razr smartphone.  I got it after being talked out of the HTC Rezound by a CSR.  That RAZR ran out of batteries within a few hours, daily.  So, one of your call centers took pity on me and upgraded me to the HD and extended my contract.  I thought, wow, what a great business.  I have a problem, and they take care of it.  I was happy.  I went through a few RAZR's, none of them really working for me.  So, I decided I would buy a HTC DNA online (EBAY) and sell my RAZR to pay for that.  I got my HTC in, activated it, and then went to the store and asked the CSR in the store if everything had transferred over, insurance, warranty, etc... She said that it sure had and to be sure to get an otterbox for the screen on my DNA.  So, with that information I sold my RAZR thinking that I was covered.  Granted, I should have read more closely the contract, but have you seen your contract?  I just assumed your employee knew what they were talking about. 
         Fast forward a year and few phones later.  I am in the Verizon store on the iPhone 5s launch day (that was totally my mistake, wow, what a line!).  My Nokia 928 had bricked itself and my wife wanted the new 5s, so I thought I would go in and handle 2 birds with one stone.  After waiting 2 hours (again, my bad, I should have accounted for the launch day, but 2 hours in your store doesn't help with patience) I finally spoke with a very polite and knowledgeable CSR.  He was able to deliver the bad news in a surprisingly professional manner.  The bad news being that my insurance did not apply to my Nokia, or my HTC.  That Verizon couldn't do anything for me, my Nokia was bricked and that was my problem not Verizon's.  Also, that my phone upgrade had extended an extra 4 months.  OUCH!  I explained to him what his peers had told me a year before about insurance and warranty information transferring over, he politely said he was sorry, but that they were misinformed and that there was nothing he could do.  Fair enough.  I saw the logic, but I was still upset because I made decisions based on Verizon's word a year before.  So, I asked him about the 4 month phone upgrade extension, that hadn't I signed a contract?  He told me no, that it wasn't in the contract.  But Verizon gave me  a date, and then they changed it with out me knowing.  Didn't we have a verbal contract with me?  You know, like doing what you said you were going to do?  Nope.  They don't.  So then I started thinking, why has Verizon been charging me insurance for so long if it wasn't applicable?  I asked him if I could get a refund, he told me that I had to call customer support to get the refund and that yes, I should get it.  So, I figured I would just get my wife's iPhone and go home and call customer support.  Here starts problem #2. 
         We live in New Mexico.  It is a big state full of nothing and a lot of middle of nowhere's.  He got the phone and started messing with it knowing it was my wife's.  I wasn't paying attention, I was still reeling about waiting 2 hours for nothing, but keeping calm because it wasn't this poor guy's fault.  So, after a few minutes I asked him, are you activating this line?  He indicated that yes he had and that NO phone left the store unactivated.  Wow, I wish had known that I said, because my wife is in the middle of nowhere and that the only reason we pay out or nose to Verizon is so that she is covered on her trips to the godforsaken reaches of New Mexico.  He said, sorry, it was done and there nothing he could do to undo it.  That not to worry, my wife will just get redirected to customer support.  Thanks Verizon.  Thank god it wasn't a surprise. 
          So I called the cancellation center, not because I wanted to cancel, but because I couldn't handle doing another 1hr wait with Verizon.  The associate I spoke with was very understanding of the concern I had for my wife.  She switched the phones back and sent her a text telling her how to activate her 4S.  I was very appreciative.  I then asked her about the refund of the insurance money.  She told me that I was paying for the privilege of being able to activate that insurance on my RAZR at any time.  I told her that hadn't had my RAZR for a year, since Verizon had told me that everything had transferred.  So I was paying for something that I could have never used.  The reason I made that decision was based on what Verizon had told me.  She said she could refund 2 months worth of money, but not any more.  I said, we are not talking about a lot of money here.  Money that Verizon should have never taken.  She again apologized and said she couldn't do anything, even though she acknowledged the insurance was useless to me.  I said this is crazy, I pay you guys for 4 lines a month.  You guys took money that wasn't yours and you are balking over 40 bucks?  I said on general principle that makes me want to cancel my service with you guys.  Silence.  So 40 bucks, that isn't yours in the first place, is more important to Verizon than my 4 lines?  Silence.  I explained that I can't cancel my account now, but I am really thinking it is best that we part ways.  She explained that she understood and that my accounted was noted.  Wow.  Maybe I am off base here, but she didn't try to save me.  She could have waved my wife's 30 upgrade fee (what a ripoff that is) which would have been the same thing.  Nothing. Just good bye.
         So this morning, I called to activate my wife's new phone.  Great experience.  I told the CSR that she was great, but I had some issues the day before with the Verizon process and could she transfer me to someone who I could explain the problem too.  After a lengthy back and forth, she explained to me that the only process was one where I could only complain about employees.  I told her that employees were not the problem.  The system was the problem.  She told me there was no system for that and that there was a feedback option on Verizonwireless.com, which I couldn't find, so here I am writing this diatribe, because I had to vent I couldn't find anywhere else to do it. 
         Lastly, here is why I am leaving.  Verizon, you are greedy.  I watched countless people sign up for EDGE.  What a rip off.  They are already paying for a subsidized phone and you charge them 30 bucks more for a subsidizing the phone?  Crazy.  On top of that, I saw people selling iPhones 4S's back to you for 100 dollars.  They are going for up to $350 on craigslist and ebay.  I know you need to make a profit, but wow.  You are taking advantage's of people's ignorance.  Shamelessly.  Your network is the best. It is why I joined in the first place.  But at this point in my life I think I can handle a few dropped calls than get caught up in this non-sense.  Verizon, if you read this far, thanks.

    Your phone insurance was paid for a year but you never inquired after the verizon person told you it transferred over. You should have contacted the carrier Asurion and not verizon wireless.
    The phone activation is totally understandable, however I have purchased my devices at full price and there is no $30 upgrade fees. I also put it in the bag and swap the meid/esn from My Verizon. So they must have changed something over the last two years regarding activations. Time waits for no man seems to hold true here.
    You can always purchase another device from http://www.swappa.com or a few honest sites. Don't  do any eBay oir Craigslist since you may get scammed.
    In fouyr months your contract is up, you can get a new device at subsidy yet again, but research the devices prior to purchase.

    Remember that Steve mentioned that they were fervently converting movies at the time of MacWorld. While they likely have a huge server farm cranking through the encoding this would still take a monumental amount of time... Especially with anywhere from a few to many of the studios likely to have closed the contracts in the final hours before Steve's keynote... Pure speculation... But wouldn't surprise me in the least if this was close to the reality.
    One last comment... on rentals... I have rented three movie and have watched one on my HP notebook (the work standard) and the other two on my iPhone. I did this while traveling internationally and with changes in my time and time zone. Note that I did NOT have a single problem with my rentals.
    I rented 1 on my G5 and sync'd to my iPhone before leaving and then rented the other two from my PC on the trip. One VERY nice feature is that you can move Rented movies to your iPhone from multiple computers, even ones that are not synced with your iTunes library. This is really, really smart and convenient... The only catch is that you cannot "free up" more space for rented movies with computers that are not synced to your iTunes library (to remove watched TV shows etc).
    All in all, movie rentals has been a great experience. All we need now is the Apple TV update and a vast library to chose from... Just for the record... iTunes + Apple TV/iPhone + Movie Rentals = the death of Netflix for my family.
    Anxiously awaiting the updates...

    FPYE1 is 'Postings for Year-End Closing in Contract Accts Receivable and Payable'.
    Purpose
    The report creates posting documents for year-end closing for closing and opening reconciliation accounts in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable in accordance with legal requirements. The postings for year-end closing and for opening the accounts use an internally assigned reconciliation key.
    Integration
    The country-specific form of the posting logic to be executed is defined by the functional parameters.
    Prerequisites
    The posting periods of the fiscal year to be closed must be closed, exept for the special periods.  Posting without tax must be permitted in the general ledger account master record for the Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable reconciliation accounts.
    Selection
    In the report run, you can only use company codes with the same fiscal year variant. Using the additional parameter Individual Document, you can define whether an individual document is created in FI-CA and in the general ledger for each reconciliation account.
    Output
    A list of the documents created is displayed. This list also contains the reconciliation keys assigned internally.
    Activities
    Before you run the report, close the standard posting periods of the fiscal year to be closed. Once you have run the report, you have to close the reconciliation keys manually and transfer them to the general ledger.

    can down payment request processed with periodic billing plan? I checked the help.sap.com but there its mentioned with milestone billing plan.No where its mentioned whether its possible t process with periodic billing plan or not?
    Only constraint is mentioned down payment request can only be processed with billing plan and for order relevant invoice.

    This is a new question related to Down payment request
    I have the following scenario.
    Please advise on how to implement this process using contracts and sales orders.
    Customer buys a warranty contract for a specific period of time say 1 year and pays 100% Down payment
    This Down Payment must not be posted to revenue account. It should be posted to Down payment
    During contract validity time, free of charge services and spare parts are delivered to customer when a customer has a problem.
    When services or spare parts are delivered then post to revenue account. E.g 10% of down payment is posted to revenue. Amount on down payment account is reduced by 10%.
    Which type of contract  and sales process can be used for this scenario?
    Note at the time of closing the contract, the spare parts to be delivered are not known.

    Contract XXXXXX has already been archived, but there is an open PO YYYYY  tied to it. How do we go about closing this open PO? There is an error message that buyers get when they try to check the delivery complete box in the u2018Deliveryu2019 tab to close the PO.

    Make sure that the document type of the purchase requisition is RV
    Once a contract is created the status in the PR changes to K.
    By default SAP will not propose such requisitions when you create a contract, the user has to remove a flag if he wants even already processed PR in contract creation:
    Make the messages 06053 and 06076 an error and it should be impossible to create 2 contract for one PR.

    You can try this using the Userexit in PR.So once the RFQ or Agreement is created for the PR then the ststus will be changed.

    As per your suggestion I will not be able to create PO / Contract of quantity more than PR but this is not suitable to me .
    Is there any setting so that while creating contract i can mark the requisition as closed. ( Like it is available in PO in the delivery schedule tab).

  • Closing contract

    PLease can someone help me as Bt seem incapable of even the most basic requests.
    Last year sept/oct after many serious issues regarding billing, direct debits and abusive and aggressive p[hone calls , I made a written complaint to BT , the end result of this , after being told I had unknowingly signed up to a 12 month contract by taking on the ESPN package was that I was informed I could cancel my contract at any time without penalty. At that time I was unable to find an alternative supplier so had no choice but to stay.
    In march I was suddenly and unexpectedly given notice to quit the rented property I had been living in for 5 years , initially I contacted Bt to transfer my service , and was told I would have to pay `£130 connection charges , after some discussion I was offered installation for £30 if I took out an 18month contract even though my rental is only for 12 months . As this seemed my only option I agreed. However after speaking to the landlady of the property she refused permission and I rang Bt to cancel the order.
    On 31/3/11 I was advised the order would be cancelled and my service closed on 1/04/11 as requested. I was advised a cancellation charge would apply , I advised the customer service again, Lisa of my previous dealings with the complaints department in sept/oct and she looked at the records, however despite making the promise to me of charge free cancellation the agent had not documented it as such. Lisa advised the the original calls would be listened to , and if as I insist I was not advised of the extension to my contract cancellation charges would be waived.
    On 31/3/11 I again contacted Bt to ensure the cancellation closure was set and was advised initially only the order had been cancelled but now the service had also been ordered and would go ahead on 1/4/11 but to call 150 @ midday to check, on 1/4/11 whilst vacating the property I tried to make the call but the line has been disconnected so foolishly I presumed my service /accounbt had been closed a requested.
    On 4/4/11 I received my ebill showing cancellation of my telephone but the ongoing provision of broadband and vision to my new property, I again called Bt to be told that closure had been requested and would take place on the 8/4/11 and after this date a revised bill would be issued crediting me for the unused portion of my previous bill and removing the advanced charges showing; I was advised I did not need to pay this bill until a new one was issued.
    The bill remains unchanged and having contacted bt yet again on 12/4/11 I was advised that the account and service was still active- needless to say I am completely frustrated and angered, I was now advised service would terminate on 19/4/11 but in acknowledgement of the poor service , no further charges would be levied after 1/4/11 as this was the date I originally requested closure of the account. I was again told a cancellation charge would be due and again repeated my previous assurance that no such charge would apply and also requested why no action had been taken to listen to the original call as was promised on 26/03/11.
    Once again I was promised action would be taken and that the cancellation charges would be cancelled and all excess charges refunded.
    However my bill remains unchanged, it appears my service is still active despite an email form Bt co informing closure of service on 19/04 /11 and I am now receiving email regarding my "unpaid" bill.
    I am so frustrated angry and disappointed with the severe I have received, please can one of the moderators help me with this ridiculous situation , Bts customer service is appalling and I am at my wits end.

    My pgm run asdailyjob which will get list of all POs modified
    on the particular day. And will check Value / Quantities depending
    upon Original contract type. At the end it will trigger workflow    
    event which will send notification to the respective users.  
    now
    i had to modify the curent program to have a check on a header level field to indicate no reminders are rquired.  In such a case, that contract reminder will not be emailed to the user.
    For expired contracts, no email notification should be sent to creator of the contract. 
    PO printout should indicate the freight amounts, descriptions etc at both header and item level wherever applicable .
    can anyone sort me a way .
