Cluster and user application resource doubt.

Hi,
i've a 4 node Oracle Cluster 11.2.0.2, with some user applications resource (with relative shell for check, start and stop), about 3 per node.
Looking scriptagent_root.log of node 4, i see that scriptagent.bin execute some check of resource of node 2 but node 2 (and node 1) scriptagent.bin execute only check of local node.
Node 3 scriptagent.bin execute check of node 3 and node 4.
I think that cluster is messed up.
It's correct this situation? If no, which check i can perform?

in my test environment (2 node rac 11.2.0.2) i've created a custom cluster resource "test_res".
[grid@rac1 scriptagent_root]$ crsctl status res -t
test_res
1 ONLINE ONLINE rac1and root is the owner, so in /u01/app/11.2.0/grid/log/rac1/agent/crsd/scriptagent_root/scriptagent_root.log
there are these messages:

I think there might be information there on how to reset Time Machine to do a full backup. I think you basically have to reset it and start over.

How to properly partition separate Root, Applications, and Users volumes?

Wondering if there's an official Apple recommended method to set Applications and Users directories on different physical Volumes (be it a separate partition or separate physical drive).
The bottom of this Apple document alludes to this by stating, "Divide hard disk space into partitions and then, for example, keep your applications in one section and your documents in another."

I'd like to do this, but there seems to be issues with symbolic linking from some of the solutions out there. Not sure if Apple has a sanctioned method that won't be incompatible with some Applications and/or future upgrades.

The concept of using separate volumes and/or drives to store system, HOME folders, applications, and even swap files separately has been debated, tested, then debated some more time and time again for many years. The findings are that, without doubt and in all realistic cases, jumping through convoluted hoops doesn't get you anything. Nothing at all.
Given the lack of any real benefit, plus the complexity of making the attempt, to do so is folly. The best advice we could give you would be to forget all about doing this, or in fact doing anything but keeping things just as they are in the default configuration of OS X.
Notice, however, that one thing I mentioned above is "HOME folders." I specifically did not mention "user data." While one's HOME folder typically contains user data, the two things are not the same. In very many cases, it is in fact beneficial to store certain types of user data on a second volume or drive. What type of data, and where it would be best to store that data, would be determined entirely by one's workflow environment and the uses to which that data will be put.
It could be that a striped RAID array is the solution that would work best for you. Or, you may instead be best served by using a mirrored RAID array. In some cases, external storage is best. In others, not so much.
One of the important issues you mention is facilitation of backup and recovery. Absolutely! The answer is Time Machine. Or, perhaps Time Machine and the maintenance of a "clone" (not something I do, but popular nonetheless). But what does Time Machine do for us? Simple. It is designed to allow us to quickly and easily recover from potential disaster, up to and including the loss of a startup drive or even an entire machine (this second possibility assumes that the TM backup is stored externally or on a safe drive, of course).
What can we do to enable Time Machine to do its job most effectively? This, too, is pretty simple. Just keep our startup volume as "slim" as we can. Not by moving HOME folders or applications, but by common-sense file management, tailored to the specific usage to which this machine is dedicated. Perhaps more importantly, more pertinent to this thread, moving one's applications or HOME folders off the startup volume actually interferes with Time Machine's ability to do its job. Please clarify my basic doubts
Read that Oracle9i AS Components are :
- J2EE and Internet Applications (sub-components are Oracle HTTP Server, OC4J, Web services etc)
- Portals
- Wireless
- Web cache
- Business Intelligence
- E-Business Integration
Read that middle tier of Oracle Apps has following servers
- Web server
- Forms server
- Concurrent Processing server
- Reports server
- Discoverer server (optional)
- Admin server
My doubts are -
1. When Oracle Apps 11i is installed, Oracle 9iAS becomes the middle tier of it
Yes / No / Partailly ?
2. If partially, then only the 'J2EE and Internet Applications' component is installed
Yes / No / Partially ?
3. If partially, then Web server (Oracle HTTP Server) and Forms server come from Oracle 9iAS and Report Server, Concurrent Processing server, Admin server etc seperate components only specific to Oracle Apps 11i ?

Oracle Applications 11i uses Oracle 9iASv1 (10222, specifically) as the underlying midtier technology stack. The latest release of 11i (11.5.10), to be released this summer, can leverage specific features of Oracle AS 10g (904), namely SSO authentication and OID user management, Portal, and Discoverer. This capability will be backported to 11i releases 11.5.8 and 11.5.9, and is currently available now to limited customers through the Early Adopter program. When installed in this configuration, there is a 9iASv1 tech stack installed as part of the 11i installation, and a separate AS 10g installed for SSO, OID, Portal, Discoverer, and any other AS products the customer may be using. Aside from SSO, OID, Portal, and Disco, 11i does not yet run on other components of 9iAS or 10g (e.g., OC4J). Applications plans to move to 10g as the underlying tech stack in a future release.

My iPhone 4 will now sync with iTunes both in its USB-connected mini dock and over Wi-Fi. It's unfortunate (negligent programming on the part of Apple?) that the upgrade to iTunes 11 did not remove all of those files as part of the upgrade process.

I am having the same issue....Same address for years - same as USPS - I tried 5 times (3 macs and 2 iPhones) and now i have 5 CHARGES for 1.00 each on my credit card. I took the credit card info off so they don't charge me anymore. How can they charge me yet still not allow me to download free updates and say I have an invalid address? Project Online - Can't Delete Resource and User from Delete Enterprise Objects

I would like to link a resource account to a user account but I ran into an error: "The resource account
is already in use.". This is a known issue which I attempted to resolve by following the instructions in KB2881398.
However when deleting the selected resource from Delete Enterprise Objects I get a message indicating success ("The
selected Resources and Users have been deleted.") but the duplicate user is still in the listing in Delete Enterprise Objects and when attempting to link the remaining resource to a user logon account I still get the error
"The resource account is already in use."
Why is the user not deleted even though Delete Enterprise Objects reports success and how can I delete these duplicates to be able to successfully link the account?

This might be due to your Exchange Sync issue, where your project workspace is unable to delete that user from local DB. Try following steps to diagnose the problem:
1) Go to your Resource Pool, DELETE a resource.
2) While resource is being Deleted, open another window
Server Settings -> Manage Queue Jobs
3) Here you can view the progress of your current Resource Deletion update, check if all goes smooth and your Resource is deleted successfully by showing process completion 100% :
( to view any error look at the
last column of table on Manage Queue Job page)
4) Cross check your Resource by running Resource Availability Report.
Basically this will give you a fair idea of your resource deletion problems and how system is responding to it.

yes I did put in a search on my computer and deleted the file but I think it is a file that is updated every time firefox opens having looked at the error console I think it is something to do with the yahoo toolbar and the error message came up again but everything still works ok so i just close the message, thanks for your reply.

Configuring roles and users (adf security) application context wise.

I referred this tutorial (http://biemond.blogspot.com/2008/12/using-database-tables-as-authentication.html) which shows how to hook up adf security with database schema but at domain level which will be common to all applications in that domain. I want to make it different to each application. (i.e each application will use differene database schema for storing user credientials i.e enterprise roles,application roles and users.)
Can any one please point me to proper way..

Doubt between RMAN and User Managed Backup

OS: RHEL AS 3.0
DB: 9iR2
Currently we are taking user managed backup.
rman is in testing(learning) process.
Is it possible to take rman backup and user managed backup of a database one after another?
what i mean is.....suppose, if we configure rman for auto backup at 9pm daily. can i take user managed backup before 8pm or after 10pm?
Am i have to take any precaution's?
suppose, rman is failed can i restore the db with user managed backup?

Yes, it is possible to perform both user managed backups and RMAN backups.
It is a waste of resources, but it is possible.
You would need to make sure both backups do not overlap each other.
Whether you can restore your database with user managed backup depends completely on the quality of the user managed backup, and whether you have proper (and tested) restore procedures in place.

For better understanding on how and when to create pooled/cluster table, refer to the below examples.
All Condition tables i.e., Annn tables (pricing/discounts etc.,) belong to the table Pool KAPOL (Condition Pool) as the underlying concept is same across different condition tables, but, they have different Key (primary) fields.
Accounting Document Segment (Line Item records) BSEG is a cluster table that belongs to the table cluster RFBLG. Also, other tables such as BSEC, BSED, BSES, BSET also come under the same table cluster as all of them possess the common Key i.e., BUKRS/BELNR/GJAHR.

i do not find the maximum user defined resource allowed ona 11.2.0.3. clusterware
i will probably need to create 100 user defined resource, but don't know if this could be possible...

Netweaver Cluster. Store file resources.

Hello everyone.
First of all I'll describe the goal. I'm implementing WD application that allows users to upload some resources (images, some text files and so on). I need to support cluster environment. There can be a lot of such files.
Now the question. What does the best way to store these files? Using DB, or file system(I think we'll have problems with cluster in this way), or maybe KM repository?

I'll try that as well. I was just trying to see if anybody has encountered this issue before I post an OSS ticket to see if this was just a mistake on my end. After 3 attempts to restart the NW cluster, it miraculously started even though I can still expand the instance 0 of my cluster and see the Services\Keystore item in red. I was able to successfully undeploy 5.2.5.10 me~ear so I've moved on to the process of deploying the 5.2.5.13 sapme.sca file to this cluster to see if it will succeed this time.
