Cluster Master Secret Server Restart

Hii All,
We are having one sql server on cluster which behaves like Master secret server and three biztalk application server , when we take restart on Master server of entsso is it nesscary to have take start on ENTSSO.
I am getting below error:
A message going to a one-way send port is being suspende ,Reason:The send port configuration corresponding to the message was not found.

Hi Mangla,
When you restart the Master secret server or when
master secret server becomes unavailable, then BizTalk Server host instances can still perform run-time operations by using the in-memory cached copy of the master secret
until:
The host instances are restarted.
The SSO service on the computer running the BizTalk host instances is restarted.
The SSO master secret is changed.
If the error you have mentioned in a just a temporary one, then check whether you have any message disruption during the
Master secret server restart, if not then ignore this error as you have manually restarted the
master secret. server. Theoretically, you shouldn’t have any
message disruption; message flow should continue to work with the cached copy of the master secret in the BizTalk processing servers.
When you do scheduled restart of the master secret server, try to follow the systematic approach. After the restart the master secret server (your SQL server), restart
the SSO service in your BizTalk processing So that if SSO master secret is changed, then the cached copy of the master secret is released from memory and the BizTalk Server must be able
to contact the master secret server to obtain another copy of the master secret

  • Can a SQL Cluster have many Master Secret \ SSO systems?

    We are trying to build a BizTalk environment that will offer multiple BizTalk instances off one SQL cluster.
    Our SQL cluster consists of 2 servers configured in an ACTIV\ACTIVE configuration and reads data from a SAN.
    We have to set up 6 BizTalk instances to create 6 environments for UAT, Support, DR, etc. These BizTalk groups will contain 2 BizTalk servers each. Each instance will have a group of service accounts assigned to it ino order to separate the environments
    but will still use the same SQL cluster.
    We have named cluster resources for each UAT, Support, etc for the SAN so that the databses are written and read from mounted disks.
    My question and confusion surrounds SSO and the clustering of the Master Secret for multiple instances.
    I want to cluster the Master Secret on the existing SQL cluster as the documentation states, but I am not sure if this is correct when there are multiple BizTalk instances running off the the same SQL cluster.  The nodes of the SQL cluster will have
    the SSO service installed and so too will the BizTalk servers in each instance group - UAT, Support, etc. So, would this mean there is only one master secret being used for all BizTalk instances, which I feel is wrong?
    Or should the master secret just exist on a bizTalk server without HA?
    I want HA but not sure where the SSO and master secret should go and ensure there are no dependencies from the other BizTalk instances should the SSO service need restarting on the SQL cluster.
    I have not implemented multiple instances on the same SQL cluster before so this is new and confusing.  The microsoft documentation isn't too great either.
    Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    post Windows Server 2008 you can have multiple MS DTC instances on one cluster. So unlike previous versions (w2k3) where the recommendation was to add MSDTC to the base cluster group, you can now have one instance of MSDTC cluster resource per resource group.
    In short yes if you feel that MSDTC is becoming a bottleneck in your processing. Also it would be preferred that for each of your BizTalk Environments you create at least ONE MSDTC resource per environment.
    Regards.

  • The cluster resource 'SQL Server' could not be brought online error while in completion stage of sql server 2012 failover installation

    While installing sql server 2012 with failover clustering I got the following error:
    The cluster resource 'SQL Server' could not be brought online. Error: There was a failure to call cluster code from a provider. Exception message: Generic failure. Status code: 5942. Description: The resource failed to come online due to the failure of one
    or more provider resources.
    The two nodes of the sql server failover have been successfully prepared. The error came while running the advance cluster completion option.
    In the clustered events in failover cluster manager the following message is displayed:
    Cluster resource 'SQL Network Name (CPCTestSQLClus)' of type 'Network name' in clustered role 'SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER)' failed.
    I have done various checking and the issue remained. I tried to start the sql

  • EAR startup fails when weblogic managed server restart happens

    My EAR startup is failing whenever we have server restart,we have 2 managed server in a weblogic cluster 10.2. if we remove migratable option from JMS server it works. can anybody tell what can be the root cause of this failure and how this links with non-migratable JMS server? Also if we go ahead with non-migratable JMS server whats the impact of not having migratable JMS server?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Move change the master Protection Server

    I have a 3 SQL servers(2008 R2 SP2 Enterprise) on a four node Cluster (2008 R2 SP1 Enterprise)
    These are protected by two DPM Servers 1 and 2.
    DPM2 was the master protection server, backing up all databases all servers and also backing DPM1 system state, BMR and DPM SQL Server, plus all volumes as well.
    DPM1 provides protection for all Protection groups on DP2 and also backing DPM2 system state, BMR and DPM SQL Server, plus all volumes as well.
    DPM1 is Local to SQL Servers
    DPM2 is on the end of a WAN.
    I want to switch back to DPM1 and relieve stress on the WAN.
    So....
    I removed all protection groups from DPM2 deleting all the data.
    I detached all nodes from DPM2
    I ran setdpmserver on each cluster node and attched them to DPM1
    I created new protection groups on DPM1 for databases.
    This is were the problems started with (unable to create recovery point) and when creating PG's I had error messages about these items are protected by anther server.
    does anybody know the correct procedure for doing this ?

    I think that it helps you
    Changing your Protection Server in DPM to another server
    OR
    You can create DPM 2 - primary server, DPM 1 - secondary
    And you can use switch protection

  • What type of changes require server restart?

    Hi,
    We are trying to minimize downtime for applications and re-design our deployment process. One of the questions is what type of changes require weblogic restart and which would require only re-deployment of application server.
    Is there a document which would detail actions required by type of changes in config?
    Sohail

    Hi,
    There are basically two types of changes we can make in WLS...
    *1). Dynamic Changes:* It means the Changes which doesnt requires Server Restart. Like Updating/deploying/undeploying applications. Creating DataSources, Creating Users in SecurityRealms, Configuring WorkManagers.
    *2). Non-Dynamic Changes:* These are the Changes which requires Server Restart ... sothat the changes can take affect. Like: Activating another SecurityRealm as Default realm, Changing cluster Multicast Address, Configuring Startup/Shutdown classes, Changinf ClassPath or Java_options from AdminConsole for ManagedServers using ServerStart Tab, Adding/Removing Managed Servers from Machine...etc.
    There is not such link available which lists all the Non-Dynamic & Dynamic Changes. Even AdminConsole also displays sometimes Wrong Message ...sometimes for few Non-Dynamic Changes as well it says "No Restart Required" But actually we had to start it.
    Thanks

  • JDBC Connection pool recovery after DB server restart

    I am finding that Kodo is throwing the following exception after I restart

    enables testing a connection and recovering from such failures before
    allocating it from the pool.

    Background for this problem:
    I'm trying to evaluate WLS6.0 clustering for my RMI services. I have two
    machines setup with my test domain (DEdomain) and one cluster (DECluster)
    within it.
    In administration server (machine A) I defined two servers to be run in
    machine A and machine B:
    DEserver2 in machine B (to be started as managed server) and DEserver3
    in machine A
    I'm going to bind a same service into these above servers of my DECluster.
    In machine B's startManagedWeblogic.sh I have:

    In machine A I have administration server DEserver1 listening port 7001.
    And for the domain and cluster building I followed all relevant e-docs
    manual pages. It's still somewhat blurry what kind of preparations I have to
    make in managed server side to join the domain; for example do I have to
    have identical domain directory structure within machine B and do I have to
    configure something with admin console or is everything handled by
    connecting to the administation server and reading the domain's config.xml
    from machine A.
    I'm sure I have missed some fundamental idea for building clustered services

    It appears you had set the administration port & listen port on the admin

    Logging onto admin server via admin port is broken currently. I wouldsuggest
    you to set only listen port
    and see how that goes.

  • BPEL Server Restarts intermittently

    Hi All,
    I have got a strange problem with my BPEL Server. Every once in a while the BPEL Server restarts on its own. I do not know if it has to do something with memory leaks or performance or some other reason.
    I have made my logs to roll at every 2 GB. I also noticed that the BPEL Domains are reloaded everytime the logs are rolled. If during this restart there is some process on the go then i get erroneous results.
    I am not able to reproduce the issue but it does happen intermittently. Has anyone else faced this issue?

    Also check logs in $OAS_HOME/opmn/logs/ for "Restart" messages, then check the timeouts for the BPEL instance in $OAS_HOME/opmn/config/opmn.xml. These are maybe too low.

  • PI 7.0 Production server restarts automatically

    Hi guys,
    We have installed and configured correctly a PI 7.0 system on Windows 2003 Standard Edition X64-bit with SQL Server 2005. We are on SP12. Everything, SLD, RFC connections work properly.
    The problem is that 4-5 days after the installation the Windows Server restarts automatically in unexpected time during the day (unexpected shutdown), even when anybody doesn't do anything in the system. In the Event Viewer we get the following message/error "System Error: Category 102 EventID 1003". There are no other messages/errors.
    This is a production system and we are supposed to go live within the next days! So I need your help ASAP.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

  • Canceling timers after server restart

    hi,
    i create a couple of timers. while the application server is up i can cancel them by getting the TimerService object of the bean it's associated with, calling getTimers() and cancelling the Timer objects returned from it.
    if i restart the server (let's say it crashed), the timers created in the previous session are back to run - they are persistent by definition. but now i can't cancel them anymore: same getTimers() returns an empty Collection. i think this happens because the old timers from the previous session were not rebound to the new ejbcontext, or something like this.
    my question is: how can i cancel timers, that were re-invoked after server restart.
    thank you.

    Below are my tests that show canceling of timers working as expected:
    Session bean methods:

    ctx.getTimerService().createTimer(4000, "single-action timer that expires in 4s");
    System.out.println("### CREATE - an interval timer that expires in every 2s");
    ctx.getTimerService().createTimer(2000, 2000, "interval timer that expires in every 2s");
    public void cancelAllTimers() {
         System.out.println("### CANCEL - timers:");
         for (java.util.Iterator iter = ctx.getTimerService().getTimers().iterator(); iter.hasNext();) {
              Timer timer = (Timer) iter.next();
              System.out.println(" canceling ... " + timer.getInfo());
              timer.cancel();
    public void logCurrentTime() {
         System.out.println("### CURRENT TIME - " + java.util.Calendar.getInstance().getTime());
    public void ejbTimeout(Timer timer)
    {     System.out.println("### EJB TIMEOUT - " + timer.getInfo());
    Java Client test:
    ejb.cancelAllTimers();
    Thread.sleep(4000);
    ejb.logCurrentTime();
    ejb.createTimers();
    Thread.sleep(8000);

  • Deployed Files getting overwritten every time when I do a server restart

    Hi,
    I have deployed a web application in weblogic server. For testing purpose, instead of placing the changed file inside the war our team will change the files directly in the deployed area. Once when we restart the application server, the new files are getting overwritten with the old one. Is there any setting with which we can stop the weblogic server deploying the old war file again?

    Hi,
    I am stopping and restarting the weblogic server through startManagedWeblogic.sh script. I am not using the weblogic console. Some of our application developers directly drag and drop the Units in the Deployed Area for testing Purpose. Even with nostage mode the war file in the upload folder is getting redeployed at the time of server restart.

  • How so we schedule a reports server restart

    We want to schedule a reports server restart each night that is scheduled in windows. Does anyone know the command to do this?
    The reason we want to do this is because our RDF reports often error out and a simple restart of the reports server solves the issue. Has anyone else encountered this issue and if so how did you get round it?

    Hi
    This is really a reports question. You can auto schedule with the queue manager to run reports on the 27th of the month in background, or have a batch script to initiate them or write a new report that initiates each ot the reports so that it can be user initiated
