Cluster weblogic hang

Hi,
I am using two cluster weblogic server(WLS 5.1,sp5,redhat 6.2),
when one weblogic server hang,the other one also hang,but when I restart one
server,the other one can work without restart.
And the two weblogic hang every day,who can help me?

  • Hardware Load Balancers and Cluster WebLogic Proxy Plug-in setting

    Documentation states that we need to enable the Cluster WebLogic Proxy Plug-in setting when there is a proxy plugin or HttpClusterServlet configured.
    We used to have Weblogic Proxy plugin and the setting is still there, also the proxy was replaced by the hardware loadbalancer. Everything works normally and no one complained, but I would assume that WebLogic Proxy Plug-in setting should not be applicable any longer.
    Is it possibly harmful to have that setting there? Does it mean that the loadbalancer emulates WebLogic Proxy Plug-in and also need this set?

    The Weblogic Proxy Plug-in Enabled flag only affects the behavior of a WL proxy module (such as if you were using Apache to proxy to WL via the mod_wl.so module). The value controls what IP address is returned when you call request.getRemoteAddr() from your application. If not enabled, you will get the IP address of the web server that proxied the request. If enabled, you will get the remote client IP address (instead of the proxy IP address) facilitated by the WL-Proxy-Client-IP header. If you are no longer using a plug-in module, the setting will have no affect. Hope this helps...

  • Cluster resource Hang

    We have 3 Node Hyperv 2012 R2 Failover Cluster suddenly we face below error on one Node.
    A component on the server did not respond in a timely fashion. This caused the cluster resource 'Virtual Machine Configuration  (resource type 'Virtual Machine Configuration', DLL 'vmclusres.dll') to exceed its time-out threshold. As part of cluster
    health detection, recovery actions will be taken. The cluster will try to automatically recover by terminating and restarting the Resource Hosting Subsystem (RHS) process that is running this resource. Verify that the underlying infrastructure (such as storage,
    networking, or services) that are associated with the resource are functioning correctly.

    “Refer to the System event log to determine which resource and resource DLL is causing the issue” from the literal meaning of view we can get a cluster resource crash or not
    responding, since the current information we can not determine which component may crash you can get the cluster log to determine which cluster resource has issue first.
    Some folk meet this similar issue because they have not install the following update and got vmclusters.dll deadlock, please install them first then monitor this issue again.

  • Weblogic Hang

              Hi,
              When I run my application on weblogic, most of the time the Garbage Collection
              keeps running because of which the system becomes very slow. The java options
              are (JAVA_OPTIONS -verbose:gc -ms64m -mx64m). The problem doesnt end here. The
              Garbage Collection keeps on running even when there is no activity and the best
              part is after sometime the Garbage Collection stops and even Weblogic Stops Responding!!!!
              I dont receive any more response from Weblogic. Could anybody tell me what the
              reason might be?

  • WebLogic hangs on Sun IDM Upgrade

    Hi,
    We recently upgraded our SIM set up from 5.0 SP4 - 6.0 - 7.1. Now we are facing a strange issue that weblogic application server on startup hangs indefinitely.
    But if we remove the SIM deployment from config.xml then WebLogic starts instantaneously. Also adding the SIM deployment post weblogic startup works abosolutely fine.
    Now the issue this needs to be done every time we start WebLogic app server.
    We are using
    WebLogic: 8.1.4 on SuSE Linux 9.
    Please suggest how can we resolve this issue

    - Exception (PeerGone, No Router)
    - or just hangs
    Also, you could run WLS using the JRE that ships with it. AFAIK, its v1.3.1_06.

  • WebLogic Hanging in RedHat 6.0

    I've got a strange problem where WebLogic consistently hangs after a
    period of inactivity(no pages being requested). I'm running the eval
    version of WebLogic 4.5.1 on Redhat 6.0, ibm JDK 1.1.8 with the JIT
    turned off. Any ideas of what I should be looing for? The thread dump

    How do you turn off the native threads and turn on the green threads in IBM's 1.1.8 JDK?
    I only see support for native threads, and no way to turn them off. Also, you mention
    NT, but we're using RedHat Linux.

    Another VM, which seems to work is SUN´s JDK1.2.2 RC2 (Black
    Down gave us some hangers as well. Yes I know the performance of
    SUN´s (and Black Downs VMs) are close to miserable (upto 3 times
    slower than SUN´s Hotspot under NT measured with JVM98 on same
    Hardware with clean installs NT4/SP6 and RedHat 6).

  • Weblogic hangs after transaction error

    Hi,
              I am running weblogic 5.1 SP8 on solaris.
              During load testing i am getting the following error on the weblogic console
              and the server then seems to hang. Any clue ?

              rolled back after 300 sec.
              

    From your error message, it looks like your transaction is simply
              timming out after 5 minutes. Why its timing out under load is a
              specific problem to your application. You might be getting some thread
              locking where one thread is waiting to obtain a lock on a bean instance.
              To determine if its thread locking, do a cntrl-break on the console
              and look for "wait" in the thread dump. Or, your application's business
              logic may just be too inefficient causing a transaction to take more
              than 5 minutes, hopefully this isn't the case. If is is Thread Locking,
              weblogic really doens't have a solution. Currently we are trying to
              employ "read-only" beans to eliminate thread locking on entity beans
              that are mainly used for reading information. Implementing "read-only"
              is done by setting cache-strategy to Read-Only in the XML deployment
              descriptor.

  • Weblogic Hangs

    We have Weblogic running as the Application Server being served by IIS 4.0
    We have a problem where Weblogic seem to stop responding once a day. We have
    to restart it to get it back online.
    Anybody know what we could do to solve this? Any help will be really appreciated.

  • Cluster & Weblogic logs

    Hi.,
              I have set up a weblogic cluster running from a shared disk. Currently both
              servers create their log files (Weblogic.log) in their directories on the
              shared disk. I would like the log to be on the local drive. When I try and
              change the file location with a fully qualified directory and filename,
              instead of creating the logfile on the local drive as expected, for some
              reason the fully qualified path is appended to the cluster directory on the
              shared disk.
              Is this a bug ?

    We ran into a similar problem and solved it by making the per-server
              directories underneath the cluster home directory symlinks to the local
              disk, rather than actual directories on the shared filesystem.
              So if your cluster directory is /cluster:
              /cluster
              /cluster/server1 -> /var/log
              /cluster/server2 -> /var/log
              /cluster/server3 -> /var/log
              The symlinks get resolved relative to the NFS client they're on - so each
              server ends up writing its logs to local disk at /var/log. The drawback is
              that your per-server properties files (if any) need to be on the local
              disks, rather than on the shared filesystem. But you could probably get
              around this by linking from /var/log back into the shared filesystem (not
              sure...we don't have per-server props files).
              Ideally I'd rather be able to just give the logfile a fully-qualified
              pathname rather than this weird symlink stuff, but this seems to work...

    be deleted AFTER WebLogic shuts down.
    The shutdown process works fine in all cases where JMS is not used and
    in all cases where JMS IS used but there are NO message driven beans.
    However, when there is a message driven bean the server does not shut
    down in a timely manner, sometimes not at all (no error messages are
    produced), and the JMSxx.dat file
    remains locked. Consequently, all of the tests run via the ant script
    for modules come to a grinding halt (i.e. environment could not be
    cleaned so further tests would be skewed).
    Can anyone shed some light on a definitive order of events during
    WebLogic's shutdown process? What is the best way to test for the
    server being up? I know there is a ping utility for weblogic - should
    this be used or should a connection to a JNDI or JMS listening port do
    the trick? Any other ideas would be welcome.

    Are you starting the managed server from Admin console ?
    Have you checked if the Nodemanager is started on the node2?
    Is the Nodemanager reachable from the Admin console?
    Also try the below suggestions and let us know how it goes??
    Try to enable tunneling for this managed server and try to make restart again and check whether issue exists or not.
    Make sure you enable tunneling for managed server and Adminserver in this case.

    Issue got resolved after restarting the weblogic server. However we are unable to view the 'Data Source' in View JNDI Tree’ page of weblogic. Which is causing the deployment of RequestConsole.war file to fail.
