CMC language mixed up

Hello,
We have two language pack installed for Business Object XI R3.1 SP3 x64. (french and Dutch)
I noticed that after installation of these language pack, features, explanation, error message are now displayed in english and/or in dutch.But the product local is "English".
For exemple, before the installation of the Dutch language pack, I had the following message:
Error Message: write error. : []
Now I have : write error. : []
Other exemple, when rigth clicking on a report in the CMC, Option are now displayed either in english or in Dutch.

Problems installing Adobe Acrobat Pro X (language mix-up)

I have a license for the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard in English. I have no problems whatsoever installing and using InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. However when I try to open Acrobat (from the install CD I installed the other applications from as well), it asks me to enter the serial number. It then informs me the serial number is not valid for this product (and shows me it tries to activate a German version of Acrobat). I'm really desperate; is there anyone who has had this issue and managed to fix it?

uninstall any acrobat versions and readers.
if you have windows, clean Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
then see if you have any acrobat preference files and remove them, http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/X/pro/using/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7feb.w .html
then copy the installation files from your cd to a desktop directory and start your cs5.5 installation from that directory.

No. Actually its a not uncommon practise in iOS. See the app "Where is my Water" for instance. You can freely select what language you want to use in the game.
Another iOS app where the app does not offer this feature but should is XCom. For me the app uses German text with US-English movies and ingame speech. I would rather have complete english than a language mix, but I cant switch the game. I could swich my ipad to english, then the game would use english. But this would lead to other problems and its not really user friendly.
Speaking of language support. It is also ok to download languages after installation. After all it is only data, no executable.

"Program files" directory problem during Microsoft Office Customization Installer in non-English versions of Windows

We have a document-level customization solution for Word and are experiencing problems during deployment in an environment running on terminal services. The OS (Windows 2012) is English and Word (2013) is non-English (German).
Installation is done into the "Program Files" folder correctly. But when trying to start a word document linked to the specific template. The "Microsoft Office Customization Installer" pops up with the error.
"There was an error during installation"
From: file:///C:/Programme/[CompanyName]/[Productname]/[Productname].vsto
Downloading file:///c:/Programme/[CompanyName]/[Productname]/[Productname].vsto did not succeed.
Exception: ....
System.Deployment.Application.DeploymentDonwloadException: Download file:///C:/Programme/[Companyname]/Productname]/[Productname].vsto did not suceed. ---> System.Net.WebException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Programme\[Companyname]\[Productname]\[Productname].vsto'.
---> System.Net.WebException: ...... ---> System.IO.DirectoyNotFoundException......
The problem seems to be that the installer is looking for C:\PROGRAMME instead of C:\PROGRAM FILES. C:\PROGAMME is the German localized name of PROGRAM FILES (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Program_Files).
The installer installs the solution correctly deployed into c:\program files, but when the later a user tries to start it and the Microsoft Office Customization Installer is called, it tries to access the non-existing "c:\programme" folder. This
doesn't exist, because Windows is English.
Is there any thing related to deploying solutions on a platform which has different languages (mixing/matching of OS language and Office language?)

1. First, I would confirm with you whether you dealt with the localization for your document-level add-in?
2. Did you use this way to define the Create a class that defines the post-deployment action part of Put the document of a solution
onto the end user's computer (document-level customizations only) and did you get the path with Environment.SpecialFolder enum?
To handle this, I would recommend you consider using Environment.SpecialFolder to set that property.

Need to export selected Mailboxes as part of legal discovery

I need to copy certain selected mailboxes/messages as part of legal discovery.
For the life of me I cannot find how to do it in an efficient manner. If I export as .pdf files, the attachments are not included. If I export as .mbox nothing seems to open it except as a text file and there is too much "language" mixed in.
I can drag one message at a time as an .eml - which could be opened by most programmes. But if I select more than one email, I cannot copy, drag or whatever - it just won't do it - and I have several thousand emails in about ten folders/boxes that I need to hand over.
Can anyone think of a method/piece of third party software/etc that can get this job accomplished please?

Megs method gets you the text, but not attachments and they will be individual files, they will not be seperated by folder.
You can also try this method:
Select a group of emails (no need to expand threads), say, all of February, and choose Save As. At the bottom of the Save As window, set the Format pop-up to Rich Text. Mail will then save the selected messages (expanding threads as necessary) to a single RTF file, including images, audio attachments, etc.
The original folder structure will not be preserved however.
The Alternate Method that I used in these circumstances.
Having verified that .mbox is a standard format, readable by many email clients I exported the requested mailboxes to .mbox format and instructed my attorney to tell their attorney to get up to date. I had provided an industry standard format containing all the information requested. Reading it was a job for them and their IT dept.

Indesign CC 2014 - Dictionary keeps changing to USA when pasting

When pasting from 1 Indesign document to another, even though all Indesign preferences, styles used, text boxes that I'm pasting to and from and all text - is UK English, as soon as I paste, it changes to USA. Default is UK (when I create a new text box as well).

If the copied text and the destination insertion point had styles with the same names but different language definitions that could happen. Because the language is applied to characters and styles it can be hard to get every character in the same language when you are cutting and pasting.
I use this AppleScript on both the source and destination documents when there's an unwanted language mix causing problems:

Exporting Two Audio Tracks to Encore

I plan to make some DVDs with a narration track. Is there a way to export with the audio from the narration track going to track 2 in Encore?

(Thanks anyway for those reading but I just found the tutorial on an adjacent page and answered my own question ;-)
I don't mean to hijack your thread but I have a similar problem in that I need to add a second language mix of narration & music to a program already in English.
From what I read here, it is possible to simply import the second mix as an asset into Encore & use a sub menu to select which track plays with the feature?

Have installed GERMAN WS2012 R2 Essentials and have added plus configered WSUS role. Have "unfortunately" installed ENGLISH SQL Server Management Studio. Have connected Management Studio to

On current situation, I’m also guess that this issue (above error message) may be caused by different language
versions (GERMAN Windows Sserver 2012 R2 Essentials and
ENGLISH SQL Server Management Studio).

ExBPA gives false errors/Warnings

I ran ExBPA on my server, and it gives, for what I can understand false errors.
It says that Admin, Auth Users, Domain Admin and enterprice Admisn have incorrect permissons on
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\OAB\6306d9ca-dddb-4972-b4b7-7f946bd01482'
But when I check the permissions, they are correct, could the problem be that ExBPA do not recognize other languages than English, hence misinterprets the permissions.

Yes, sounds like its false error in mixed language Exchange server.
Is OAB working properly, if so I would ignore it...

Simulation error : size mismatch in mixed language port association with VIVADO simulator

I have instantiated a VHDL module in a verilog top file . When I tried to simulate the verilog top , I received the following error .
ERROR : Size mismatch in mixed language port association , vhdl port vid_data
(Simulation tool : VIVADO simulator . VIVADO ver : 2015.1)

The port 'vid_data' is declared in the VHDL module as std_logic_vector (15 downto 0)

No size mismatch exists actually . But , I am getting the above mentioned error in simulation.
I have searched for similar threads . Nothing was useful .
Does anyone know how to solve this?

You might also get this error if you mis-spelled "data_to_mem" such that the declaration did not match the instantiation port map. For example:
wire [15:0] data__to_mem; // double underscore before "to"

In Verilog this is not an error unless you disable automatic net inference. In this case Verilog is happy to create a single wire for data_to_mem, but then you would be trying to attach a 1-bit wire to a 16-bit port. That would also be valid in Verilog, but not allowed for connections to VHDL.
I typically avoid this sort of error by placing:
`default_nettype none
at the top of each Verilog file, and
`default_nettype wire
at the bottom of each Verilog file. This prevents the automatic creation of wires when you mis-spell or forget to declare nets.

ESS Translation - Mixed Languages

Hi,
ESS Standard Applications are rendered as a mix of ENGLISH and FRENCH (eg Road Map / certain Fields), where as the language of the user is set to FRENCH.
User sets the language via Change Language drop down in the masthead - custom feature (where UME API is used to update the language of the user). Our Portal datasource is AD LDAP. Where as in the same system (Development Portal) all standard MSS applications gets translated properly in French in the same Portal session. So issue is only with ESS.
We checked the JCO and it is set to BLANK.
Any inputs please?

Yes - these are standard iViews (directly tested from SAP ESS Role).
Verified below : Please see -
1) JCO is NOT maintained blank (Mantained blank is the ideal to get the browser language) - JCO is set BLANK already ie
SAP_R3_HumanResources
SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData
2) Iview property Forced language is wrongly maintained; - As in SAP Standard iViews.
3) User has incorrect language settings; - User language is set to FR using UME API. MSS standard iView Translates fully in FR.
4) Browser has incorrect language settings; - Browser had US-EN and CA-FR in that order. I had tried with CA-FR only. Still loads with a mix of EN and FR.
5) Particular language is not installed on portal; - How to check this?
6) Wrong customizing in IMG; - Standard (doesnt need additional IMG customizing). Custom ESS Role (Services, XSS Menu
area Descriptions etc are successfully getting translated in FR) -> Issue is only from standard WDJ applications (mixed language behaviour). Home page framework is getting translated successfully.

Language and accents mix match?

I really like the dictation and voice to speech on my mac, but I really hate the voices. I tried out the foreign accents for English that is available for download but nothing sounds the way I'd like. Is there a way to mix match the languages and accents? I'd like to have English with a Russian accent... Is that possible? Are their apps that can do something like this?

After Deployment mixed Languages

Hi everyone
We are experiencing a very strange behavior, after we syspreped a Windows 8.1 reference Image.
Everything works fine and the Computer works as expected after MDT deployment.
But the start Screen apps, have different display names. Some are german, some are english and the weather app is cyrillic (bpeme). This happens for all Profiles created on this
computer. I experience the same problem, when the computer does not get joined to the domain. --> No GPO problem
All the regional and language settings are swiss german, which is correct.
If I change the language to english, all the apps switch successfully to english. But when I switch back to German it is mixed again.
Anybody an idea?

License activation for mix language app

Hello,
I have installed and activated all the app from creative cloud but only InDesign in Japanese does not allow me activate.
can we not mixup the language?
I could not type Japanese with English InDesign so changed that to Japanese version so as I can type both language.
pls let me know either to activate mix language app or to type Japanese in English version...

Mixed language docs

What is the full setup procedure for the System and for Pages 08 that will allow creation of a doc in mixed English and Thai languages, and ability to flip between the 2 with a kbd shortcut if poss?

I am still not clear exactly what Pages menu command (or shortcut) I must use to switch between the 2 languages.
Nothing to do with Pages (or any app). It's a system function. Please look at the bottom part of System Prefs/International/Input Menu and also at System Preferences/Keyboard and Mouse/Keyboard Shortcuts/Input Menu.
When activated, the shortcut is Apple/⌘ + Space.
That is of course to switch keyboards, which is required to switch languages being input.
If you need a Thai spell checker, I don't know of any unfortunately.
