  • How to use SOA Suite in conjunction with SOA Analysis and Design Tools

    Hi everybody,
I am a novice in this field and I need some help regarding integrating analysis and design tools with SOA Suite.
We used to analyze and design with Oracle Designer and use its powerful form generator to develop a system. It almost covered all the software lifecycle and kept the traceability between anlaysis, design and implementation.
I have studied about the SOA concepts and read some papaer about SOA Suite. I have also installed the SOA demo based on SOA Suite and I found it absolutely amazing, but my problem is that It seems oracle does not have any tools for SOA Analysis and Design. am I right? if so, How can we analyze and design a system based on SOA concepts and implement it using soa suite in such a way that keeps traceability? What tools is used for this purpose?
It seems that IBM have some tools like Rational Software Architect and Rational Suite which enable people to design and analyze based on SOA concepts and then generates some pieces of code (like oracle designer in old days) but is it possible to design in these tools and then generating codes for SOA Suite ? (for example generating a bpel file from a design model)
As I told before I am a novice in this field and I would be so grateful if other users can share their expriences regarding this matter.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Navid

  • Regarding ticketing tool

    Hi
can any one tell me about 1 ticketing tool in detail, or pls send me the links.
i have 5 process chains running, they r taking long time how to improve the performance.
    regards
    subbu

    Hi,
What all steps are included in your process chain? Is it taking long time to get completed?
    Regarding process chain performance:
Normally its better to create process chain seperately for Staging layer(Upto DSO level) and the other for Reporting layer(To load Cube leve data).
Delete indexes before DTP execution for Cube and create index will improve loading into the Cube.
Any ABAP programs involved in your process chain with complex code. That might be also the reason for which process chain completion may take long time.
    Hope it helps!!!
    Thanks,

  • Corrupted time machine backup and Migration tool

Thanks in advance to anyone that is able to help. Sorry for the long read.
Recently I replaced my hard drive because it was slowing down and had a very large number of bad sectors. After replacing the HD with a new one I tried to use migration assistant to move my information from the old one. As has happend with many bad hard drives it could not detect the old drive. This always happens if I try to migrate from a drive with bad sectors. The healthy ones always work.
So in an attempt to make the migration tool see the files and migrate them I am trying to use the old drive to spoof a Time machine backup.
First I set my old HD as the location of the new mac's TM backup just to get a TM backup file in place. The fist problem I ran into was that time machine backups are write protected at the kernel level and can't be modified. I found a helper module in the TMsafetynet kext that does this write protection and so, I can delete files in the backup like so.
sudo /System/Library/Extensions/TMsafetynet.kext/Helpers/bypass rm -Rfv /Volumes/TIMEMACHINEDRIVE/Backups.backupdb/whatever files to delete
And so, I removed and modified the files in the time machine backup slightly and migration assistant as well as time machine reflected the changes perfectly without error.
Next I deleted all that was in the time machine backup, I then moved the entire contents of my old drive into this time machine backup file in such a way as to mimic a normal time machine backup.
The good news is that time machine reads my jimmy rigged backup perfectly (which looks pretty wierd since there is no continuity between past and present), But migration assistant now does not see it.
If anyone is able to help that would be awesome. I replace bad hard drives all the time that won't copy with migration assistant, transferring the files manually isnt easy or clean. It's a pain.
Thanks a million for any advice!

  • Photoshop CS4 64 bit  - Clone Tool does not work (and other tools)

    Hello.
I have been using Photoshop for many years going back to v5.  I had used Design Prem Suite CS4 for the past year on an XP machine.  All worked fine.  I recently moved to WIndows 7 (64 bit) to get the add memory usage.  CS4 installs both 64 and 32 bit versions on Windows 7 64 bit.  So far all good.   Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.  I am at a dead end and really have no confidence in getting Adobe's help.
My tools are working erratically, especially the cloning and healing tools.  I can't even use Photoshop in its current state and this has been going on now for weeks, no help from Adobe on my lates support ticket post.
I canonly say that the clong tools is all over the place including but not limited to:
    * When I sample and then click to stamp, lines shoot across across the image as it I clone a line not a single sample area. These stamps can be the length of the enite image.
    * when I sample, then click to stamp, some the stamps occurs on some other part of the image.
    * when I sample and the click to stamp, nothing happens. I have to click several times.
    * when I sample and then click to stampl, the prior location I stamped has the clone applied
There are more, but this is to just give an example.
    Notes:
    * I have trashed preferences at least 20 times and the problem immediately reappears
    * The problem happens in both the 32 bit and 64 bit version of PS running in Windows 7 65 bit
    * The problem occurs with OpenGL tuned on and off
    *  I have installed the latest PC patch 11.0.1
    * I have updated my latest NVidia drives. They are current.
    * I uninstalled Photoshop (kept the rest of Suite) and that did not work, and the same problem reappeared.  I am not uninstalling the complete suite but the reinstall has error (that is a separate issue)
    * I have triple monitors running off 2 GeForce 9800 GT cards.  These worked flawlessly before upgrading to the Windows 7 64 bit configuration.  When I upgrades, I replaced the processor, motherbaord and moved to 12 GB ram. The graphic cards are the same.
    Other tool issues:
    * I have similar problems with the healing brush
    * sometomes the text tool acts strange. I will click to enter text and a large area opens to enter text instead of just the cursor positioned ready for text.  Then other times it works normally.
    * the move tools sometimesacts strange. For example, if I try to move some test, the text jumps and moves of the image and I have to find it to drag it back on the image.
    Thanks in advance

All I can say is...  Boy am I glad I have an ATI card that just works (and that's including Photoshop CS4/CS5 32/64 bit)!
One thing I'm not sure was mentioned above...  Try changing your Advanced OpenGL preferences to "Basic" or even turning off OpenGL to see if it affects the issue.  Also try disabling the Show Overlay function in the CLONE SOURCE palette.
Best of luck getting to the bottom of these problems, guys.  If they run on too long, consider switching brands.

  • Dodge and Burn Tool basicly stopped working.

For some reason the Dodge and Burn Tool in Lightrooom 5.4 basicly stopped working. It will only make a slight adjustment no matter how much I change the exposure value. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Do you have the flow and/or density of the Adjustment Brush set to a very low level?

  • BPS on WEB and Workflow Tool

    Hello great people,
I’m implementing SEM-BPS 4.0 in an insurance company. When I arrived here the BBP has been already delivered, and the description of the SEM-BPS functionalities in BBP were in a very high level and because of that I’m facing some problems.
I have to decide whether I should deliver SEM on WEB or not as well as in what tool the workflow to implement should be developed. I had never worked with the WEB tools.
I have already searched for this and I know that Status and Tracking System only works in Web, and SAP Business Workflow works in WEB and GUI.
I would like to develop something that was a mix of the two tools (Planning in SAP-GUI and Approving in WEB). For you to understand my idea I will give you an example with all the steps.
    1.     The Planning Manager sends an email to all the Controllers telling them that they can start the panning process.
    2.     The Controller executes the Planning.
    3.     The Controller Supervisor receives an email with the indication that the planning is ready for validation.
    4.     The Controller supervisor analyses the data entered by the controller, and disapproves the planning. After this the Controller receives an e-mail with the correction instructions.
    5.     The Controller executes the corrections.
    6.     The Controller Supervisor Receives another email with the indication that the planning is ready for validation.
    7.     The Controller supervisor analyses the data entered by the controller, and approves the planning.
    8.     The Director receives an email with the indication that the planning is ready for validation.
    9.     The Controller supervisor analyses the data entered by the controller, and approves the planning.
According to your experience, what tools do you suggest me to use?
I have to communicate my client what tool it will use in next Thursday.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Want to upgrade 2008 R2 to 2012. Upgrade advisor giving errors relating to Database Compatability Level and Server Collation

I want to upgrade a SQL Server from 2008 R2 to 2012.  When I run upgrade advisor, I get the following error messages:
Rule "Valid Database compatibility level and successful connection" failed.
The report server database is not a supported compatibility level or a connection cannot be established.  Use Reporting Services Configuration Manager to verify the report server configuration and SQL Server management tools to verify the compatibility
    level.
Rule "Valid Database server collation and successful connection" failed.
The SQL Server Database Engine is not configured with a valid server collation and cannot be used as the Reporting Services SharePoint Shared Service catalog database.
The database called ReportServer has Collation = Latin1_General_Cl_AS_KS_WS and Compatibility level = 100

    Hi Andrew,
Regarding to the first error message, please check the Reporting Service Configuration Manager, make sure that you connect to ReportServer database from the correct server
and use servername\instancename format connection string. For more details, please review this similar
    thread.
Regarding to the second error, it is caused by that the current SQL Server Database Engine server is using an incompatible server collation.
SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services SharePoint mode utilizes the SharePoint shared services architecture. SharePoint does not support SQL Server Database Engine configured for case sensitive or server collations or binary server collations.
And since the SQL Server Database Engine server collation property cannot be changed, you will not be able to complete an upgrade of Reporting Services. You will need to migrate your Reporting Services installation to a new server which is using a compatible
server collation. For more details, please review the following article:

  • How to configure automated ticket in ticketing tool from PI system

    Hello Experts,
We are working with SAP PI 7.11 version now we are using the ticketing tool Sysaid.

  • Version Numbers Vs. Patch Levels For Web Tools

I have noticed that version numbers for Web Tools such as 620, 621, 622, 624, 625, 627, and 628 correspond somehow to the patch level (6, 8, 10, etc.). What is the difference between the version numbers and patch levels, and which ones match up with which?

    Hi Michael,
Prior to p10, the last digit of the version corresponds to the patch level.
From p10 going forward, the last set of digits represents the patch.
    Patch 10 is 2007.0.630.10
    Patch 11 will be 2007.0.631.11
The version will only change if there are upgrade scripts that need to run for the patch.

  • Third Party Ticketing Tool integration with solman service desk scenario

    Hi,
I need any guidance on integration Of third Party ticketing tools like OVSD with the SAP Solution Manager Service Desk Scenario.
    Regards,
    Kaustubh.

    Hi Maheshwar,
What I am trying to do is, try to maintain the data like,,
    Caller ID-- sender
    Assignment of workgroup--
    Search Code--
    Priority--
    and description--
now some of these are constants that we need not determine every time.
but my question is, can we maintain these as a set of parameters in the method definitionunder parameters tabjust similar to MAIL_HEADER...which is displayed in the mail alert.
we already have a scenario maintained in the HPSD where it reads the mail picks up specific content based on key words, and creates a ticket.
and If we can maintain these by modifying the method, then where can we maintain the multiple data/options for this
And also please send me what were the steps u have done.
U used a Z method or customized the Function module??
Bcz in my case I think I will have to do both..
    Regards,
    Kaustubh.

  • Fader Selection -  Different Levels and Not Smooth

During a mix I will select all the tracks to turn down all audio/midi channels to lower their volumes. When this is done some of the track will drop to different level and slowly catch up with the channel that I am moving. In Pro Tools when this is done they move smoothly and everything stays at the same level. Is there a way to prevent this from happening in Logic 7.1?

Well, that's the code that was written automatically by coldfusion when I've chosen to create user authorisation. However when you choose to go this way coldfusion asks whether you want to authorise user by username and password only, or add permission levels. So I've chosen to authorise by all three. As mentioned in database I have added three fields: username, password and user_type. Currently I have two users. One's - admin1, and another - admin2. If I change both to admin1 - have no trouble loging in. But if second one is left as admin2, it denies access with no error.
My intentions are to separate content of the admin page with the following code:
    <cfif ListContains("admin1", Session.MM_UserAuthorization)>
Content to show if user in proper access level which is Admin1.
    </cfif>
but in order to achieve this I have to login users with different access level.

  • Fader levels and mixing

Coming from years of analogue recording I've been used to riding fader levels quite high (slamming the tape, etc.) However, I've noticed that in the DAW world this is actaully NOT such good practice!
I was wondering, though, if it was typical to have fader levels at such low levels. Sometimes my levels are at -18db or more!!? However, everything sounds good and the final mix comes out fine with some mastering tools. But I have found that lower fader levels allows for better mixing..its just odd, for me, to see such small scaling in the tracks' VU meters!
Am I doing something incorrectly here. Is there some kind of calibration that I am not aware of that raises the amount of fader play?
    Thanks.

    Clem et al,
This information was helpful as I too want to record in the -12 -18 range for tracking, but I'm struggling a bit with gain-staging, etc at the Tracking, Mixing and Mastering stages. My goal is to record as cleanly as possible and maintain headroom as I move between these three stages to a finished product. If you know of a good website that covers these fundamentals that would be also be helpful.
Here's what I'm currently doing on a typical song (I'm doing this all myself due to current budget)
TRACKING STAGE: Record each audio part (typically vocals, guitar & bass) at -12 to -18 in 24 bit / 44.1 kHz (44k to save disk space...I can do 96 on my Apogee Duet if that offers significant benefits. Note that this is the *recording level* - not where the vocal/bass/guitar sits after pulling back the track fader).
    - Issues at this stage: When I record at this level I have to crank my Duet headphone output up to 100% and it still is occasionally hard to hear the part vs the backing material I've already recorded. When I track at a higher level and then pull back the fader for the mix this is not a problem.
    - My Summit 2BA-221 pre appears to be barely working to get this -12 to -18 in Logic arrange window.
    - Main question: What should be corrected in the above? Should I record the track at a higher level to "work" the mic/pre and add more tube "warmth" etc. or go some other route. If I track at this level does that match up more closely with Logic's default compressor/limiter, etc. plug settings? Also I notice that if I use an aux/send for drums, etc. that the level coming from that aux can also add up after a enough tracks are sent to it.
    - I want strong vocals, but don't want to then hear the backing track drop (due to compresssion) when the vocal levels jump higher.
MIXING STAGE: I have heard from more experienced musicians/engineers on other websites that I should mix down (bounce) to a stereo track prior to mastering and keep this to -3 -4 prior to mastering. Is this target level correct. Should I be using a buss/mix compressor here for "glue" and/or EQ here or wait until final Mastering stage?
MASTERING STAGE: Currently I am using Ozone 4 for this...any basic guidelines or pointers you can offer are very much appreciated.
I realize that much of this is subjective and an art, but I'm looking for basic building blocks that I can work from...to that end any related info you can provide is very much appreciated. I realize you could respond with a book to the above but I'm primarily interested in correcting my gain-staging approach as related to the original tracking level discussion here.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer!

  • Burn and Dodge tools not working on b/w sketch scan

Hi, I may have somehow eliminated information in an image of a black and white sketch which prevents the dodge and burn tools from working...is there a common mistake which prevents these tools from working as they normally should on a black and white image with multiple shades? (The sketch is not pure black and pure white but has multiple gray shades...it "looks" like an image on which these tools should work.)
When adjusting Levels for the image all of its "information" seems to be clustered around the "0" point on the far left of the Levels adjustment slider, if that helps in understanding this problem....
Did I mistakenly somewhere along the line destroy information in this image necessary for these tools to work?
    Thanks in advance

    > it would be nice if dodge and burn worked on partially transparent images. This is impossible?
It is working properly. With a partially transparent layered image, only **some** of the visible tone is coming from the image layer. The rest is coming from whatever is showing on the layer underneath. Burn and dodge will only affect the layer you're working on. As I said, I could get get B&D to affect it a little ... and that's is exactly what it should do in this case. Because the pixels are partially transparent, B&D is only going to **partially** affect the visible tone. It's altering the pixels on the image layer, just not very much because there aren't very many pixels available.
Peel off white does an incredible job. However, I would use it only once. The fact that the sketch becomes a bit transparent tells you it's removing image information.
