CMS Assembly Error -- but building in CBS succeeds.

After recently upgrading to SP12 we are having some assembly errors in CMS. The log for the assembly error is as follows:

The rcmo/testapp project is dependent upon rcmo/unittest which is dependent upon rcmo/mrcmo and finally this rcmo/mrcmo project is dependent upon an External library DC call rcmo/jaxme.
After the assembly in CMS fails, the consolidation buildspace in CBS lists three broken DCs (the three projects identified in the log message above.) The rcmo/mrcmo project lists a build failue and, of couse, the other two projects have "usage failures" because of the dependencies to the project which failed to build. The build log for the rcmo/mrcmo project contains the following error:
DC Model check:

[dcmake] ERROR: Check for used DCs failed: Could not find used public part "JaxmeAssembly" of meridium.com/rcmo/jaxme(meridium.com_RCMO_1) : Used public part not available
[dcmake] Build failed with errors.
The rcmo/jaxme project is an External Library DC with two public parts exposed, one for compliation and one for assembly. CBS shows all "green lights" for the rcmo/jaxme project so I'm not sure why we would be seeing this error. We are running SP12 and the SP12 SCAs have been checked-in/imported into the buildspaces.
Interestingly, if I initiate a manual build of the compartment in CBS, it will succeed and then returning to CMS I am able to successfully complete the assembly and import into the test system. I have no idea why a "manual" build of the compartment in CBS would succeed but initiating the assembly in CMS fails.

Re-keying issue? I dunno. The manual mentions Phase 1, and your log points to Phase 2, but maybe it's worth a shot.

Incidentally, how do you get logs off of the iPad?

NWDI CMS Assembly broken DC - missing DCs as Dependency

I need your advise/help:
in NWDI CMS, when assembly my custom application i.e. b2b_bd, I got broken DC error with below details from CBS log file.
Seems there are 2 missing DCs:
sap.com/tc/bi/bp/enterpriseApplication' DC, does not exist [public-part: enterpriseApplication] AS Build Plugin Dependency
'sap.com/crm/isa/web/b2b' DC, does not exist [public-part: war] AS Build-Time Dependency
My question is prior to my custom application assembly, do we need to do any dependency steps - sap standard DCs (SP related DCs) assembly?

The DC was broken because of a problem in a used DC or build plug-in, 'sap.com/tc/bi/bp/enterpriseApplication' and 'sap.com/crm/isa/web/b2b', are not available while assembling. My question is how to make them avaiable? I don't think I can edit/activate them from NWDS, only Basis can import a patched version of the used SC into CMS, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Any advises / suggestions?

Well... I figured it out... :)
A little bit later than I posted the above post, I found out that I need a newer version of binutils.
(actually I found the info on gnu.org's website: http://gcc.gnu.org/install/specific.html#x-x-solaris2)
Downloaded, installed, and everything went fine with Xorg's compilation - at first (I still don't get how and why...)
But I ran into other errors, so I decided to build Xorg' s Xserver again (commented out the already built parts in build-from-tarballs.sh), and I got those assebler errors again (regarding illegal mnemonic).
As I knew it was some kind of compiler specific error (I read about similar problems with cross-compiling) I checked xorg-xserver[version]/fb/Makefile, and I found an -msse flag. Removed it, and everything went fine, up until a new "make" attempt (which did a new configuration, and put the -msse flag back), and the same error...
So I downloaded gcc-3.4.6's source, and built gcc (with the gcc 3.4.6 from sunfreeware (great site! :)). with the -with-cpu=athlon-xp flag.
Removed the SMCgcc package, and installed my own gcc, and the compilation (assembler) error gone, things went smoothly. The -msse flag IS there, I checked the Makefile, so I think it has something to do with the way gcc was built.

is there a way how to mark build as partially succeed from pre-build script?
And, also insert some text in Build Summary? (Other Errors and Warnings area will be fine)
I was trying to use "Write-Error "My Test Error" -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue" but it is not working.

I think John's reply in this thread will be helpful to you. The short answer is that your pre-build script should return a value to indicate whether the script success or not. Modify the TFS build process template via adding BuildDetail.Status = BuildStatus.Failed
activity when the script failed.

Error "Problem building schema" while invoking external webservice

Hi,
I have following problem:
I created 2 BPEL processes.
One of these processes should be called from the other as a partnerlink.
When I create the partnerlink, pointing to the deployed wsdl, I get following error "Problem building schema" when I try to access the input variable that was created by the invoke activity.
I have tried a lot of things but keep on getting this error.
When I create a new, empty BPEL process, and do exactly the same it does work!
any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Did you find the issue? I'm trying to install binutils and the gcc toolchain on my laptop. I was able to get it to work (randomly) on my desktop a year ago (http://nakedproof.blogspot.com/2012/09/ … linux.html), but the same steps aren't working anymore.

Error during building

hello,
i am trying to burn a dvd from idvd using professional encoding. twice at the end of burning (4 hours later) i get a message saying there has been an error during building (multiplexing?) i burned the same idvd project using high encoding and everything seemed to work ok. i want to try the pro encoding to see if there is a difference in quality.
another question... my project is in widescreen and looks great on my computer but in my dvd player, on my tv it's a bit stretched. why would this happen and can i fix or avoid it?

Multiplex error is a very complex problem due to many things (long long list following) - on common but not obvious reason is that material on the iDVD menu goes outside the TV-Safe area (or just touching it).
So first - turn on TV-Safe area and move any object well inside of this.
Wide screen stretched - usually (as I think) it is due to making a 4x3 movie in a 16x9 wide-screen project OR the other way around. This forces one to on flat-screen TV (or other) set the presenting view right - My has 4x3, wide-screen, zoom and auto-wide-screen and I have to switch this by my remote for some DVD I've made "wrong" way.

A. Using strange letters in video project name eg +,/; etc. keep to a-z and 0-9 strange letters in project name eg +
as described by Donnyboy69. Does the title of your project have any symbols or decimal points in it. If so, that is why you are getting the error. I had a project that had a + sign which caused the same problem. I renamed it without the symbol and low and behold, it worked.
B. Location of Chapters
• Can’t be at start or end of movie (Skip first/start one - iDVD sets this by it self. At the End - no need)
• Not in a transition (or within 2-3 seconds from it)
Important when from iMovie HD6 or previous - Now also observed when using FCE 4

Multiplex Error

Back again. Here is what I have found to work. I also have and use a LaCie DVD-R/RW DL external drive and a LaCie external hard drive as well. Since yesterday I have tried a few ways to burn a themed iDVD project having four 56 minute movies on it, amounting to 226 minutes onto a DVD DL disc, capacity 240 minutes. Apple tech support really didn't know what to do but gave me a very good tip. I had two options left. Apple tech support's tip was to try disc image. One of the replies on a thread with this subject said not to, but my experience today is good. Put your project onto "Burn to disc image," under "iDVD, file." Yesterday encoding took me 23 1/2 hours. Overnight for iDVD disc image, encoding took 21 1/2 hours (again) while I slept. This morning I tried to copy/burn disc image to a DVD with Roxio Toast 7, and it stopped near the end of the burn with some kind of "error" message. So then I tried Utilities> Disc Utility> Burn icon, and followed it through. Be sure to click the DVD DL drive in the window "Burn disc in.". I had one other problem though. At the end of a 46 minute copy, it started to verify, and at the end of verify it rejected the burn. So I tried again, and when "verify" appeared, I clicked on "Skip." The disc finished burning and is doing fine and well. A long and tortuous process, but at last something works. I made several additional copies using Disc Utility. Best wishes. Chuck, Chicago.

(Not a 'guy' but I will answer!)
First, I do not think that mixing widescreen and standard makes a difference in iDVD.
Second, you should use a better brand of DVD disk. Also, many of us have experienced fewer problems on playback with DVD-R disks. Recommended brands here are Verbatim, Maxell and Taio Yuden. Memorex and TDK are not consistent and may not give you a correct burn. They apparently have fewer layers in the composition of the disk. I have always used Verbatim DVD-R disks and have not had any burn problems.
Also, choose a slower burn speed, 4x or less.
Third, to determine if the iDVD project will burn properly, create a disk image file (from within iDVD, go File->Save as Disk Image) and test it. Mount the disk image and then open DVD Player (in Applications) and view your project. If it plays correctly, you can then burn the actual DVD disk from the disk image file using Disk Utility.

I did everything I've seen suggested, but a friend (who used to be an Apple Genius) suggested that I do a safe reboot (by holding down the shift key until you see the spinning gear on gray background, then release, then restart when your start-up screen appears).
It worked, and I got a clean burn from iDVD.

Well, I finally got it, and it was odd enough to post here incase anyone looks this topic up again. Many things were tried, including burning the unedited film, the edited film without titles and chapter markers, abbreviating the chapter markers in case length was the issue (remember the old iMovie used to truncate them when moving to iDVD?). In the process, I noticed that one, and only one, chapter marker was on the same line as the title marker. All the others were on the line above. The only way I seemed able to change that was to clip a few seconds of film. After that last clip, the offending marker took a place on the line above, as were all the others. That run published, compiled completely and burned. That's one for the books.

To add my experience with Multiplex Errors using iDVD (7.0.4), I recently created two iDVD projects
Video from both passed from FCE 4.01 with chapters
One project worked fine in creating disk image file
The other gave Multiplex Errors
I tried suggestions to remove special characters and no chapter marks at beginning, but nothing worked
Note that I've used iDVD for dozens of projects and this is first time I've run into Multiplex Errors
Anyway, for problem project, I tried an experiment where I removed all chapters in FCE and passed to new iDVD project
This time multiplex errors gone
So had something to do with chapters
So now I tried numerous experiments to remove individual chapters and try again creating disk image with new iDVD project
After numerous tries, I was able to narrow problem down to 1 "Bad" chapter mark
That is, when I left the "bad" chapter in my FCE project and passed to iDVD, iDVD gave multiplex error
When I removed "bad" chapter mark (and others in), no multiplex error
As a final experiment, I moved "bad" chapter mark about 5-10 secs beyond original point and passed to iDVD, the multiplex errors now magically went away and I was able to finally create my disk image.
I have no idea why this worked, but thought I'd mention here in case someone else runs into similar problem.

In addition to Bengt's fine advice, burning errors can occur if you have located any of your menu buttons wholly or partly outside of the safe TV viewing area. Go to your main project menu, then click on View/Show TV Safe Area, to check. Drag into the safe viewing area any buttons that are outside the safe viewing area.

Multiplex Error-There was an error during muxing preparation
One thing that worked for me was to export the video w/o chapter markers as a self contained movie (thereby not loosing the edits & etc). Then make a new FCE project and import that movie into a new sequence and add the chapter markers. I've used "-", "&" and "," with no problem in the chapter names. Removing the markers or exporting without them did solve the problem but renaming them with just numbers 1,2,3....5, did not solve the problem and since this problem seems to happen with with iMovie as well, it would suggest the problem is in the video or audio and in combination with the chapter markers iDVD just can't handle it. The only other possibility is that both iMovie and FCE share the same or similar chapter marker code that some how is corrupting the markers.
Summary - What to try
1. Chapters
• Only A to Z and 0 to 9 in chapter title
• No Chapter mark at very beginning of movie
• No Chapter mark in or within 2 seconds from any transition in movie
2. TV-safe area for buttons (no one outside this)
3. Safe re-boot
4. No other external devices connected - that are not needed
SDMacuser adds to this
• On #4 ... No ext. devices. Some think this applies mainly to ext. FW. Not the case. Also applies to ext. USB2 as well (not to mention flash drives too).
Do not leave 3rd party devices / camera / camcorder plugged in unless it is being used with iDvd's One Step process. Certain web cams can trigger this also (especially ones with added features like LED light/s that draw additional power from the FW or USB bus).
5. Minimum of 25Gb free space on Start-up hard disk
6. Make a DiskImage first - reduces where problem originates
7. Trash iDVD pref file
8. Make a new iDVD project
9. Movies in project with same aspect ratio eg 4x3 or 16x9
10. No other programs/applications running during iDVD process. eg Internet, screen & energy savers

It does help somewhat to see the complete code. I can now see and understand how you are building your select statement including your variable and storing the select statement to another variable to be executed. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about ASP and javascript and so forth to be certain of the correct code. However, I can see a lot of similarities between what you are doing and how we build a select statement in PL/SQL and store it to a variable for dynamic execution. There are various ways of including variables within that select statement. About the best I can do is offer various legitimate syntaxes in PL/SQL and hope that you can see the similarities and will be able to adapt one or more of them. In each of the examples below, which demonstrate slightly different methods, I have used current_user for the Oracle user, but you can substitute os_user for current_user in any of them if you want the operating system user. However, note that it will include the domain, like your_domain\ajgrasso so you may need to do some parsing for proper comparison. If you don't get any errors, but it also doesn't return any rows, it might be due to something like that. Notice that, when building a select statement and storing it to a variable, all single quotes within the string must be doubled. That is, replace each single quote with two single quotes (not double quotes) within the string. Also, in Oracle, || is the concatenation symbol, not &. However, because you are using ASP and javascript, if they require double quotes and &, then you may have to experiment with such substitutions. Please see what you can derive from the following and let us know. Also, if it doesn't work for you, please be specific as to whether it returns an error message or if it just doesn't return any rows. A cut and paste of the run, as I have done below, would help.

I'm getting Error 33 and dotnet x86 ni language pack error and build stops
how can I solve this issue?

Error 1059 building applications

I keep getting this error after building an application (.exe). I had set up settings for builds for my applications a few weeks go when I tested them. Now that I've debugged them and want to build them again I am getting this error. I have tried deleting and recreating the builds and it will let me make a new one and run it, but if I want to make changes to the build settings I get this error. I have tried opening up a new project and moving all my VIs and files into that project... same thing. Anyone know what my problem is? I posted a screen shot of the dialog below.

There have been other incidences in our system where rebooting the computer solved the issue (error code 1059). It could be that there were changes made to the LabVIEW settings that had not been applied until after the reboot.

IP Resource Errors While Building a Windows Failover Cluster on Azure

I have setup a failover cluster in Microsoft Azure on four VMs. I have two nodes in one subnet/region, one node in another subnet/region and a final node in a third subnet/region. The cluster passed the validation wizard and was successfully built, but the
two nodes in other subnets will not go online, reporting "Failed to bring the resource 'IP Address x.x.x.x' online".
Azure Vnet Setup
Vnet 1 - South Central US - 10.16.16.0/16 - Nodes 1 & 2 - Online
Vnet 2 - West US - 10.116.16.0/16 - Node 3 - Offline
Vnet 3 - East US - 10.216.16.0/16 - Node 4 - Offline
All three IP Address resources are DHCP. I've attempted to make them static but they still failed while coming online. If I click "Information Details" on the error I get:
Error code: 0x80071397
The operation failed because either the specified cluster node is not the owner of the resource, or the node is not a possible owner of the resource.
It seems to be an issue with the way Azure DHCP works, but I'm stalled. There must be a way to get his working. What am I missing?

Starting in Windows Server 2008, a feature called an “OR dependency” was added to Failover Clustering which gave admins the ability to have nodes with a Network Name that
could use one IP Address OR another IP Address .In a multisite cluster, it is expected that 1 IP address is offline as it is an OR relationship.
