CMSDK: How to replace the deprecated Parser

Since 9.0.3 custom parsers are deprecated. Custom parsers where the ideal mechanism to ensure consistency in document-handling functions throughout the different protocols, while providing the possibility to act upon an upload operation before any decisions where made about how to store the document.
You could, for instance, decide to store the document as an instance of a specific subclass of document. This decision would be unrelated to the specific protocol the user chose to use to perform his upload, and thus it was possible to maintain consistent logic across the different protocols.
The 9.0.3 developer reference, chapter 12, suggests that you actually don't need these parsers, that they are overly complex and that you can simply implement your parser in a http-servlet (implying that you shouldn't use ftp, smb, ... for uploads). To stress their point (I guess) they removed (silently) the possibility for custom parsing from all but the cup protocols.
I thoroughly disagree with this and would like to maintain the functionality provided to us by the 9.0.2 parser - if necessary with different techniques. Two existing customers are unable to upgrade to newer versions simply because of this problem.
I have taken the possibility of an agent into account, but that lacks the possibility to interactively inform a user about problems regarding the content of his uploaded file. Furthermore, changing the cmsdk-class of an allready created object is tedious.
Anybody from Oracle with an explanation about the deprecation of the parsers?
Has anybody faced the same problems? Did you survive?

I figured out the order in which things get stored in iFS, when creating a new Document:
1. S_TieDocument.extendedPreInsert
2. S_TieContentObject.extendedPreInsert
3. S_TieDocument.extendedPostInsert
4. S_TieFolderRelationship.extendedPreInsert
5. S_TieFolderRelationship.extendedPostInsert
6. S_TieContentObject.extendedPostInsert
After the post-insert calls, things are stored in the database. If I would want to determine the type of a document based on its contents or the folder it will be stored in, then this information should be available in step 1. Before the document is stored in the database, we have to change the class id, or the document will be stored in the wrong tables.
But in step 1, the S_TieContentObject has not been created and there is no relation between the document content and the document itself. The same goes for the folder relationship. So I don't think changing the document type (class id) in a server-side override is going to work.
Does anybody at Oracle has ever tried any of this?

You can parse the XML Document with XML Parser and place the data into database using XSU(XML SQL Utility).

Qosmio G50-10J: How to replace the Optical Disc Drive (ODD)?

the optical drive of my Qosmio G 50 is not working properly anymore, it reads only some movie-DVDs, but sadly no videogameDVDs at all, so I cannot instal any games.
The warranty has already expired too. So I wanted to ask if it is possible to change the drive myself, if it is then how should I do it, and if by doing it would the laptop be in
serious risk of getting damaged?

But maybe the ODD laser lens is dirty. In my case I could solve similar issue cleaning the laser lens using a cotton-wool tip and alcohol.
But be careful doing this!

Satallite A100: How to replace the keycaps?

Is there a manual on how to replace the keycaps after they come off?
My Satallite A100, one year old, lost two keycaps a few weeks ago, and I am unable to replace them, although I have all the (little) parts. It got even worse when some more came loose recently when my little son peeled some off, using the room created by the already missing keycaps.

Reading your posting I can not understand exactly what is wrong with your keyboard but removing and putting in place keycaps (plastic with written symbol) is not problematic. You must just put it right in place and gently press it down. You will hear click and the keycap will be in the place again.
Under this keycap is placed small plastic mechanism. It contains two small plastic parts. If they are removed from the bottom you can put them inside again. To see how it looks like remove keycap from any other key and see how is it placed.
I have done the same now and with a little bit patience you can put it in the right position again.

How to use the kxml parser?

I was getting same error using kxml parser. The reason is losing interface in which constants are declared.
You need to correct code of kxml a bit.
In every place where constant from XmlPullParser interface is referenced only by its name (without reference to its class XmlPullParser) you need to change for use full name. it means changes like:
START_DOCUMENT to XmlPullParser.START_DOCUMENT
Everywhere.

How to replace the certificate of Cisco 2106 wireless LAN controller for CAPWAP ?

I have interested in CAPWAP feature and I download the open capwap project to make Access Controller (AC) and Wireless Terminal Point (WTP). I had built the AC which used PC and WTP which used Atheros AP. The CAPWAP feature work well when I enabled the CAPWAP that used my own AC and WTP. When I got the Cisco 2106 wireless LAN controller (Cisco WLC), I configured the Cisco WLC to instead my own AC but I got the authorize fail in Cisco WLC side. It seem the Cisco WLC could not recognize the CAPWAP message which sent form my own WTP. I think this issue just need to synchronize the certificate between Cisco WLC and WTP.So I need to replace the Cisco WLC's certificate manually. Does anyone know how to replace the certificate manually with Cisco WLC ?

So, if i understand you correctly, you want to replace all characters in a string with 9 as in the above example, irrespective of position of the character, if so try with the below code.
DATA: l_str TYPE string.
l_str = 'ASKHSIUDNSBDKJSDH124312431243124saasdfsf'.
REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF REGEX '\D' IN l_str WITH '9'.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
WRITE: l_str. "Result will be 9999999999999999912431243124312499999999
ENDIF.

I am not sure if this is a Swing question. But since nobody answered it in the Java Programming forum, let me place it here:
I would like to set my own icon in the title bar and in the minimized window of my java application, replacing the java coffee cup icon.
I am using:
frame.setIconImage(new ImageIcon("image.gif").getImage())
as was suggested previously in the Java Programming forum at:

This does create the icon in both places. However, it only works when I run the program from JBuilder 2006. It doesn't work if I run the program from the .jar or the .exe file.
How can I make it work for my .jar and .exe file?

How to replace the harddrive in the TV

I was wondering if i could take the HD out and image the drive so that i can put in a 1TB drive.
i understand that apple will eventually update these poor things to a 2008-2009 spec, but if they don't i'd like to buy the cheaper one and replace the drive so that i'm not always deleting and downloading things all the time.
HD movies are going to fill these weee little drives in not time flat.

i'm sure you can do this, however as this is an official apple support forum you would not be able to get the information here.
