CN 752: Requirement quantity & & smaller than quantity withdrawn & &

Dear Gurus,
I have found a strange behavior in SAP PM order processing.
Even after withdrawing the spare parts, system is allowing to change the required quantity.
If someone is increasing the quantity thats fine.
But if someone is decreasing the quantity, system should not allow it.
System is giving below information message:
CN 752
Requirement quantity & & smaller than quantity withdrawn & &
I want to give error in such scenario.
I have tried setting an error message for above message, but its not working.
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Please help.
Thanks & Regards,
Mihir Popat

Hello,
Thank you very much for your inputs.
I have checked that, but it is still not working for me.
I have debugged the standard code and found that it is hard coded over there as information message for message CN 752, and system is not checking any table while issuing the message.
However for message CN 750, system checks the table and decides accordingly, whether to give warning or error.
Hence, it is clear that it will be information message only.
I will be mapping my requirement with user exit CNEX0026, where i will check the withdrawn quantity and required quantity and decide on whether to give error or not.
Thanks to all for your help.

  • Quantity Required Does not Match Quantity Withdrawn (LBS)

    Hi,
I am sometimes noticing a problem where the quantity in our production orders is not getting withdrawn in full.  We are only noticing this when we are consuming in LB.  We have production orders where we calculate the number of LB of material that is required.  When we confirm the production order the material backflushes from inventory - however sometimes leaves .001LB open.  These parts are set to backflush in the material master, and also has a component scrap factor set in the material master.
For example:  The requirement quantity in the production order (RESB-BDMNG) is 3.608.  After the order is confirmed, and the material backflushes the withdrawn quantity on the production order (RESB-ENMNG) is updated with 3.607.  The finial issue indicator (RESB-KZEAR) on the production order is also checked, which means there are no more planned movements for the order.  It is not a big deal for one or two production orders; but over time we will have hundreds, which will throw off our inventory.
Any idea why this is happening or if there is a setting somewhere we are missing?
    Thank you for the help.

In transaction code CUNI click Unit of Measurement for Mass and in there for LB (or LBS whatever unit you're facing problem) change the Decimal places and Decimal pl. rounding to 3. Though system will allow you to enter a number higher than 3, the domain used for all quantity fields in SAP (MENG13, TCode SE11) stores only 3 places of decimals, so it's the system limitation.

  • Requirement quantity and quantity withdrawn are not matching

From a production order the requirement quantity of one component is 4 and for another component, it is 2. But the withdrawn quantity for the first component is 5 and for the 2nd component it is 0. This has caused a COGI error.
Also the total quantity and the delivered quantity is shown as 6.
How can this be corrected and prevented from happening in the future.

    Hi Jeby,
Thanks very much for your reply.
Batch management is not used for both the components.
For both the components the storage location is mentioned in the components overview of the production order. When I checked in the material master the same storage location is existing in the materiala master also

  • Reservation: withdrawn quantity exceeded requirement quantity

    Hi Gurus.
    Please help.
Is there a way to check why withdrawn quantity exceeded requirement quantity in reservation? System should get standard message M7362 when this happens. Settings in OMCQ are correct.
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
The message might relevant for the scenario of GI to reservation, which issued quantity greater then reserved quantity in reservation.
You may check your reservation with MB25 for listing your reservation document and I suggest to use MB26 for collective and more accurate GI processing of relevant reservations.

  • Error Message 06 410 Sum of quantities 0 smaller than total quantity

    Hi Gurus
Upon shopping cart approval, an error is being generated stating '06 410 Sum of quantities >0< smaller than total quantity. The cost assignment on the cart items is split 50/50 for each item.
The SC is created on behalf of user XXX, user XXX approves it, the SC is in error status.
I verified the PO approval value limit of user is more than SC value.
    Please advice.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sada

Hi. Do the account assignments you have entered definitly add up to 100%?
That error message means that the account assignments entered do not add up to the total of the shopping cart item.
SRM should give an error, but if you look at note 1108139 there was a bug introduced by a support pack, and the error was not being given.
The backend system then gives the error, that is why the catr is not transferring.
See if the note is applicable, and if it is try it and press check in your cart, see if you get an error then.

  • Replenishment with less than required quantity

    All,
We are executing replenishment via RLLNACH1 (or LP21) from our high rack to our fixed bins in the background.
We then run RLAUTA10 to create the TO from the TR.  We have selected allow partial prov in TO and Select partially processed TO's.
In some cases, we are seeing TO's created for less than the required quantity or NO TO's at all when there is enough stock in both cases.
    Scenario 1:
Material Master Settings for fixed bin:
    Min:  10
    Max:  102
    Replen Qty: 0
    Stock situation:
    High rack for bin1 = qty 26
    High rack for bin2 = 120
Fixed bin Qty avail stock = 4 (below min)
TR created for Qty of 98 (102 minus 4 avail).  TO created for only 26 (the first bin above in full).  This leaves the TR partially processed, with remaining open qty of 72 (98 minus 26).  The system did not create TO a second line item for the TO from the other available stock in bin2 for the balance up to the maximum.  Any ideas why not?  Does GR Date in high rack bin or quantity in the high rack bin?
    Scenario 2:
Material Master Settings for fixed bin:
    Min:  30
    Max:  50
    Replen Qty: 0
    Stock situation:
    High rack for bin1 = qty 150
    High rack for bin2 = 300
    High rack for bin3 = 275
Fixed bin Qty avail stock = 15 (below min)
TR created for Qty of 35 (50 minus 15 avail).  TO is NOT being created.  There is plenty of stock in high racks.  Not sure why???
This is creating many ineffeciencies in our system.  Please respond.
    Regards,
    Sandy Miner

Thank you very much for your reply.  I believe my settings are correct for my strategies and storage type master data.
Storage Type Search strategy is going for both high rack and double pallet (001 & 002).  My stock in question is located in the high racks (001).  High racks are SU managed.
The materials in question are not batched managed, so that should not be an issue.
The fixed bin storage type has 'addition to stock' set and it is not SU managed.  We do not allow mixed storage of any kind.  I don't THINK this is a problem because the fixed bin is not SU managed and, as stated before, the material is not batched managed, so changing it to setting "A" several homogeneous storage units per bin should not impact this because it's not SU managed.  Do you agree?
I am checking the back ground job log as well, to see if there's any messages in that log.  I do like the idea of creating the TO manually and 'debugging' the search strategy, etc.
Any other input would be helpful.  Especially about the mixed storage note above.  Could this be an issue?  Do you allow mixed storage in your fixed bins?  Are you settings similar?
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Sandy

  • Quantity Withdrawn field in production order

    Hi all,
    I have a doubt
there is a component A in production order
    Required quantity is 10
Initially i issue 15 qty's then the same qty gets updated in "Quantity withdrawn" field (component overview screesn)
Then i reverse 3 qty's of component A,which is very much visible in documented goods movement
Whereas the same is not getting update in the ""Quantity withdrawn" field ,Still 15 qty is appearing against "Quantity withdrawn" field
This may be normal behaviour of the system,I'm not sure
Can you please confirm on this
If not then please give me possible reasons why it is not getting updated ?
    Thanks,
    SVP

    Hi all,
I also wonder about this (actually it's an issue for this customer ... ). As same as production order, Network order (it's activity more correctly) also show withdrawn quantity in CN25 transaction.
In my case, I've done good issue quantity 2 EA, then I reverse it. and same again. finally I do good issue 2 EA.
    GI         -2 EA : CN25
    cancel GI 2 EA : CN29
    GI         -2 EA : CN25
    cancel GI 2 EA : CN29
    GI         -2 EA : CN25
(Yeah, normally it will not happen often but it can.)
I expect withdrawn Quantity 2 EA but it shows 10 EA. So have wonder with actual data table MSEG. It has SMBLN value (referred document number to cancel) as I think. It's very normal.
Why withdrawn field doesn't count that cancel quantity?
Is there any configuration that I missed ? or Is it normal result?
But System should do show 'Cancelled GI Quantity' (so that end-user can notify actual GI quantity) to make it understand.

  • CO02 - Quantity withdrawn

    Hi Friends,
If I do goods issue through MIGO, In production order quantity withdrawn column (Component overview) is empty and in document goods movement also it is not shown the with drawn quantity. If I use back flush, then system shows with drawn quantity. Why this is happening?
My requirement is, system should show quantity withdrawn in production order, for all t. codes MIGO, MB1A.
    Thanks,
    Pook

    Hi,
In MIGO, proceed by selecting Goods ıssue then Order and enter production order no. Reservations of the order will be listed in the items. Mark OK for the items and save.
Alternatively in MB1A choose "To order" and enter production order no, then post movements.
This way posting will be done against order reservations and quantity withdrawn field gets updated.
    Regards.

  • Behaviour of 'quantity withdrawn' at PP Order in subcontracting scenario

In a PP order with external operation (Control key PP02) and assigned materials. When the purchase order is created for this external operation, based on purchase requisition the 'quantity withdrawn' at CO02 is updated after save the purchase order.
I doubt, if this is the natural behaviour for the quantity withdrawn field, or this field should be updated just at the 543 consumption movement from vendor, or at least in the movement 541.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Felipe Garzón Quintero

    Felipe,
It is standard behavior of the system because when you see MD04 for same component you can see 2 MRP element showing for same requirement.

  • Active ingredient and requirement quantity in COR6N

    Hello dears,
I'm implementing the usage of ative ingredient unit of measure for batch management.
I set up customizing point for "Define Calculation of Proportion Quantity from Base Quantity" and "Define Calculation of Product Quantity from Base Quantity", then I added a characteristic to the batch class and added the same to the material master. Everything is working fine, the system can convert the quantity in the GAI unit of measure in MMBE transaction, and in COR1/COR2 I can allocate the batch according to the active ingredient UoM.
The problem will happen when I am in COR6N - Goods movements tab to perform the goods issue: here, in tabs "Requirement quantity" and "Quantity withdrawn", the quantity is not calculated correctly according to the anctive %: eg, the value in the batch is 0,80 but in COR6N the system use 0,84.
    So I have two questions:
    - do you know why the system has this behaviour? Did it happen to anyone?
    - is there any customizing behing the determination of those fields? Because in two different client system I'm having different behaviour: in one case (the system where we execute customizing) I have only the issue I said above; in the second case (the system where the customizing is copied to) the behaviour is completely different: the quantity shown in Requirement qty field is the opposite, as if the system is using 1,20 instead of 0,80
Thanks a lot in advance for your advice.
    Giovanni

    Hello,
    Have you solved the issue?
    thanks,

  • Component Required Quantity Field Mandatory In PM order

    Dear All,
I want to make required quantity field as mandatory in PM order component tab.
    Plz help
    Rgards

    Dear Friends,
Requirement for not changing the qty arises in the situtaion like, suppose a person has created the maint order for certain qty,and released either by him or by his superior.there is a possibility that component quanity can be changed by the lower level people.(like supervisor or technicinan). In this case ,it can be controlled by authorisation .ie Dont give order change authorisation to those people,so that componenet quanity cannot be changed by anyone other than authorised people.
This problem i am facing in my every projcet, and handling thro roles and authorisation only rather than going for making the quantity field mandatory with some devellopment and alll.
    I hope it is clear.
    Thanks and Regards

  • SNP - Sales Orders confirmed vs Required Quantity

    Hi All,
We have sales orders in ECC integrated with SCM. I have a couple of questions related to their integration.
1- In SNP, we see the sales orders required quantity rather than the confirmed quantity. Is that standard?
2- Is there a way that the SNP heuristic considers confirmed quantity only? We are on SCM 5.0
    Regards,
    Zeeshan.

In v5.0 you have a quantity type field in the atp category group.
Try changing it from requested to confirmed...
I have not tested this yet.  But it should work.

  • Changing the Requirement Quantity in Reserations

    Dear PS Experts,
In a Project, I created a reservation of 5 units of item A. Then I issued 2 items against the reservation.
Later on I tried to change my reservation requirement quantity to 6 and SAP allowed it. Then I changed the same quantity to 1 which is below the issued quantity even that was allowed.
My question is why are the above changes allowed after material issue takes place ? (is it a common business requirement)
Else, is there an SPRO setting where we can restrict the above?
    Cheers
    Deepal

    Hi,
That is the standard SAP functionality only. This is not a strange behaviour of the system. If you create any reservations manually, the system will allow to change at any point of time. While creating the production order or MRP created planned orders will create the reservations. That reservations you can't change.
