CNTL_ERROR exception when using 'submit report '

Question

Hi,
  I am trying to use Submit statement as follows..
submit PPCMP000  with s_werks  EQ 'SAS1'
                              with s_aufnr in range_tab
                              exporting list to memory
                              and return.
When i use the submit statement without 'list to memory' it is working fine. But whn i add tht, it showing the following dump.

condition "CNTL_ERROR".

Is there any settings needs to be done?
Can any one help me in this??

Hi,
It's a standard program.
I have created a transaction, and I'm now using call transaction to bypass the error. (But I would prefer to use submit instruction.)
