Co-product indicator is not copied to BOM

Hi Experts,
I have created the materials with co-product indicator in MRP2view and using this material as component in BOM. However the co-product indicator is not copied to the BOM in Item details basic data view. When I crate a production order, components are not having co-product indicator in production order component view.
When I create the BOM, system is accepting the quantity with negative value.
What could be the reasons that system is not copied the co-product indicator in BOM.
Pl provide your valuable suggestions.

Steps for the coproduct feature in SAP are as follows :
1. Create Material Masters for the main product and Coproduct. Select the Indicatore co-product for the co-product material. In MRP 2 View click the Joint Production Tab and maintain the Approtionment Structure i.e. One Main product is equal to X coproducts.
2. Create the BOM for the Main product and maintain the Co-product as an Item with negative quantity and click the Coproduct check box in item detail manually. Then only this will be flowing to Production order .
Note : System by default will not make it to flow to BOM from the MaterialMaster. You need to manually tick the check box in BOM either during BOM Creation or change.

Hi all,
I would like to know how to forbid the addition of a new component in a Production order that doesn't exist in the BOM.
Currently when we create a Production Order, the components of its materials are read from the BOM. If we add a component that doesn't exist in the bom the system allows it without any problem. We want to forbid this and let components be added to a PO only when they take part in the BOM.
Any idea?

You can use an userexit to check before saving the order, based on the BOM(Order master data tab) used in the order, it should validate the component material number. If it finds a new material in the order, it should terminate the save with a message to user.
The following enhancement is available for production orders:
PPCO0008 Enhancement for adding and changing components
This enhancement is used to check components (for instance against a standard parts database), which have added to or changed in an order. This check can then refuse to copy a component into the order or can replace one material number with another.
The enhancement PPCO0008 contains the following enhancement components:
Function exit
EXIT_SAPLCOMK_006
Enhancement for adding and changing components
Activities
1. Create the enhancement
To do so, create a new project or use an existing project.
2. Activate the project.
The enhancement can only take effect after you have activated the project.

Required Quantity are not copy from BOM

Dear SAP GURU,
I encounter this situation when i try Convert Plan Order ---> PO , Or Try create Process Order Manully.
But the issue here , when i look into the Material component list , the quantity for all required quantity are "ZERO".
I suspecting the Table is locked and that's why when convert to PO is "ZERO".
Can anyone tell me how to investigate this issue please?

Unlimited Indicator not copying to Purchase Order

Hello experts,
I'm running ECC 6.0 and am unable to solve this. I have subcontracting info-records for materials that specify a material to a vendor, pricing, tolerances, etc.
In the Purch. Org 1 screen of info-record view, I can see the tolerances are maintained (5% under and unlimited over-delivery for example). The 5% under is copying when a purchase order is created for the material in question, but the unlimited over-delivery indicator is not copying. If I clear out the indicator and maintain an actual over-delivery tolerance, it copies just fine. Only the indicator is failing to copy from the info-record.
Any familiarity with how to solve this issue?

Hello Kelby,
Even if nothing is maintained in the material master plant(purchasing view) the unlimited tick should default from the PIR. PIR always has a higher priority than master as it is specific to material+vendor. The help for the 'unlimited' tick in the PIR mentions this.
You can have a look at this note. It is very old and probably not valid for your release. However this is the only note I could find. You should probably raise an OSS message.

Copy control option in web ui-physical product not copied from oppertunity

I am making quotation from oppertunity by using follow -up document functionality in WEB UI, but when I select the quotation transaction type in follow-up then header data got copied but physical product from oppertunity not copied into the qotatio.
Follow up functionality working properly in GUI.
I need help in Web -ui.

There is a standard process of Copy Control to copy the data from Interaction Record to activity but now my client requirment is to copy the data from Activity to Interaction Record.
In Detail - when user select the activity from Agent inbox and clicks on Edit button then IR gets created in background then at that moment i need to copy the Notes & Description from Activity to IR. Even we can check if can copy it when user clicks on END button after edit the activity.
can u tell me how can i copy this data? i tried with copy control but couldn't work.
should i write some code? if yes then where i can write?

Replicating Product groups after client copy WRONG

Hi Folks,
I've taken a client copy from client 100 to 050 in both SRM SD1CLNT100 and ECC ED1CLNT100.
I've done BDLS to replace log. sys. in both systems for both SRM and ECC log sys. eg. ED1CLNT100 to 050 and SD1CLNT100 to 050.
After replication of config and product groups I'm stuck with the product groups replicateded in CLNT100.
I get the root node after replication of product groups in the new 050 client but all the product groups are not copied!
Any ideas to what I'm doing wrong?

At time of costing run through CK11N , bom and routing not copied I have checked all validity/ status /uses / lot size of bom and routing also . but when i will run costing for next month system has copied bom and routing .

Check the costing variant that you use for executing CK11N, is it PPC1?
If this is correct means check in T code OKKN and choose PPC1 and check for the quantity structure
control and check the BOM apllication and the routing selection ID.
This should match with your BOM that you have created and also the routing that you have created.
1. Check the BOM status in CS03---> header.
2.Check the status & usage of routing in CA03,generally it will be
Usage 1 Production
Status 4 Released (general)
3. If you are using Production version check whether have you assigned proper routing group & counter
and along with the BOM.Also check whether is the production version locked?
Check & Revert back.

Problem in Partial delivery BOM - items not copied in subsequent delivery

Hi,
We are using BOM in Sales order and we have activated delivery group for the BOM header item category.
When we create first delivery we change the BOM header item quantity in delivey ( all the components quantity change accordingly) and save the delivery.
Now when we try to create second delivery with reference to the same delivery for the left out qunatity in sales order, system is not copying the components of BOM items ( it is only copying BOM header) from sales order to delivery.
Please let us know how can we create subsequent delivery with reference to the same sales order and delivery should get all the BOM items from SO to delivery.

Hi,
We already set the delivery group to A, and still having the same result. We change the BOM header quantity only and automatically the component quantity is updated.
This happens only if there are two header BOM in the Sales Order. See example below:
Bom Header 1 = 100
Bom Component 1a - 80 (partial delivered)
Bom Component 1b - 20 (partial delivered)
Bom Header 2 = 200
Bom Component 2a - 150
Bom Component 2b - 50
When creating outbound delivery, initially all the materials are copied to the outbound document. If we want to delivery only Bom Header 2, then we will delete the Bom Header 1 line item.
Upon deletion, the status of the component becomes fully delivered in the SO, but the Bom header is still partial delivered.
Please confirm how to correct this.
**If there is only one BOM Item in the order, then partial delivery is ok..

Please check and confirm that whether the Transfer Preference Indicator is checked in the Control Settings for Application Type SD0A i.e for Sales Order or not in the Feeder system and what the log says in the Feeder system GTS Cockpit. 1. Please check the validity start date of the BOM and Production order Starting Date, production start date should be after the validity start date of the BOM.
If you have changed the BOM and added the bi-product, check the valid from date for the changed BOM.
2. Do the function "Read Master Data" and check whether the bi-product is transferring to process order.

Will Not Copy After Being Idle

THIS IS A COPYING ISSUE!!! After installing the upgraded version of Comcast's latest modem/router, our HP 6550 would not print. I contacted Comcast and reported the difficulty and they informed me it was a printer problem - not their new modem. Consequently, we purchased a new HP 5740 printer The printing function worked fine and it would copy immediatley after the printer was turned on, however, after the printer sat idle for a couple of hours, the copy function would not work. If you then turned the printer off and immediately turned it back on, it would copy. Again, Comcast reiterated it was a printer problem. I returned the original 5740 back to the store from which it was purchased and exchanged it for another HP 5740 printer. After hooking up the second HP 5740, the same problems with copying occurred. I returned the second HP 5740 to the dealer for a refund and left town for three months. We recently returned and purchased a HP ENVY 7645 printer from another dealer. We are having the same issues with this printer as we had with the two previous HP 5740 printers. I discussed the situation with a level II supervisor at Comcast and he arranged for a new modem/router to be brought to the house and installed by a technician. The installation occurred today and we are still experiencing exactly the same problem. The Comcast technician who installed the new modem/router (who couldn't wait around while the printer sat idle) said that if the problems occurs after the installation, we should purchase a printer/copier from another manufacturer - or turn our printer "off and then on" when we want to copy. He also asid that if this problem does continue after the new modem/router is installed, it definitely won't be a Comcast problem. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHERE I SHOULD GO FROM HERE?

I understand that your HP Envy 7645 will not copy after being idle. I am happy to look into this for you!
I believe this is happening due to the printer going into sleep mode. As the options are for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and 15 minutes for sleep mode to activate. I would recommend trying a hard reset, by going to this post,How to perform a Hard Reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the printer's power cable is plugged directly into the wall outlet, and not a surge protector. See this article, Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector for more information. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
After the hard reset, I would then make sure the printer's firmware is up-to-date. Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates.
Let's see what happens after giving these two steps a try!

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium will not copy or scan.

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium that prints just fine however it will not copy or scan. When I attempt to copy a document it displays Starting Copy... on the printer but will not copy and must be turned off and on to use the printer again. When I attempt to scan it brings up an error box telling me to check all of my network connections.
I have already tried the services.msi fix and have ran hp printer and scannor doctor tool to attempt to fix my problem.
In the services.msi I found that all services dependant on (WIA) were already running and set to automatic.
The scan doctor found that It wasn't communicating with the drivers, which I then reinstalled, and restarted the computer. It then continued to have problems with the drivers and asked me to contact support.

edit: The printer is also running the latest firmware and I have also checked my anti-virus firewall so that it is allowing the printer through network. (note: in attempt to fix the issue i have both a usb and network connection trying to get either connection to work).

To make sure I understand this correctly, you are unable to do a copy at the device itself? This should function without the device being connected to a PC at all. if this is indeed the case, it sounds as if this is a hardware issue. I would then check with HP support on your product for warranty repair.

EK01 and EK02 not copied to sales order item

Dear colleagues,
Is it possible to have EK01/EK02 transferred to the sales order item for assembly type = "0 no assembly order processing"
(specified in requirement class definition)? I would like to have planned production costs in EK02/EK01.
I don't specify costing method, variant and sheet in requirement class definition (transaction ovzg)
The steps are following:
1. create sales order
2. set manually proper item category (which refers to assembly type = "0 no assembly order processing")
3. MD04 - convert generated planned order (lower-level for HALB) into production order
4. MD04 - release HALB production order
5. MD04 - convert generated planned order (higher-level for FERT) into production order
6. MD04 - release FERT production order
7. ????? we could expect EK02/EK01 in sales order item coming from production orders ?????
I have found SAP note 857299 nevertheless it is not stated precisely there.
Please let me know your observations in this area.
