COA in 11g Weblogic?

Hi
In Oracle 10G App Server there was a COA tool for generating SSL certificates.
Does Weblogic 11g have such a tool, if not what is a good alternative?
Thanks
Tony

keytool, which is part of a JDK distribution - http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/tooldocs/solaris/keytool.html
An example of its usage can be found here - http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=6479 (the section setting-up SSL)

  • Re: Smart Quotes crashes reports running on Reports Server 11g/Weblogic 10.

Anyone experience smart quotes stored in oracle tables that causing report to crash. Is there a parameter option in Reports 11g/Weblogic or maybe a characterset change. We are looking at modifying the call package but would prefer a parameter change. Thanks.

    Ricardo,
I've done a lot of VM installations of WebLogic 11g w/ Forms but never used these VM "templates" that you use. I've always installed weblogic and Forms on a freshly installed operating system (Solaris,OEL,Redhat,Windows,etc..).
Please refer to forms installation documentation provided by Oracle: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/install.1111/e10421/toc.htm
Secondly, the statement "Oracle weblogic 10gR3" concerns me - what exact version of oracle weblogic server is installed?
You need 11g Forms with 11g Oracle WebLogic Server. The versions are a little confusing but you need one of the following setups:
    1.) WebLogic Server 11g (v10.3.2) with Forms 11g (11.1.1.2)
    1.) WebLogic Server 11g (v10.3.3) with Forms 11g (11.1.1.3)
    2.) WebLogic Server 11g (v10.3.4) with Forms 11g (11.1.1.4) (Just recently released)
Note: Forms 11.1.1.3 and Forms 11.1.1.4 are patchsets.
Thirdly, for system specs. All minimum requirements are noted in the installation guide link i mentioned above. It depends on what environment this is and how many apps, users, etc. etc. However, for development environments i've done: usually 25GB+ HDD space, 4GB RAM, 1 CPU (1.5 Ghz+) has been sufficient.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Gavin

  • How to allow user chaning his password in OBIEE 11g weblogic custom LDAP?

How to allow user chaning his password in OBIEE 11g weblogic custom LDAP?
I need to give user an option to do so, without the intervention of any Administrator. I also do not want to make user a Administrator else he will be able to login in weblogic and can do any damages unknowingly.....

  • Porting from Oracle 10g AS to Oracle 11g Weblogic server

    Hi,
I am trying to port J2EE applicatin from Oracle 10g AS to Oracle 11g Weblogic Server. I have jsp files which contains sql code embedded to fetch data from the DB. The components used in this application are Java, JSP, Servlets and Stateless session beans.
I have a commonjar which is used to create DB Connection manager and other common stuff which is present inside web-inf/lib. My application is packaged as an ear and which contains the war and different ejb-project.jar files. When the Stateless bean is trying to call the ConnectionManager class, which is present inside the commonjar inside web-inf/lib, I get InvocationTargetException. When I debugged in Eclipse, I see that that inside ejb the reference ConnectionManager, the variable cannot be resolved. So I guess at runtime, ejb is not able to locate ConnectionManager Class.
I tried to copy this jar to APP-INF/lib and the same jar is present inside web-inf/lib as well. In that case what happens is the jsp fails with the exception ConnectionManager cannot be resolved.
How can I make the ejb work by keeping the commonjar inside web-inf/lib alone.
    Any help or suggestions?
    Thanks
    Raj

The classloader hierarchy in WLS looks like this (arrows denote inheritance direction):
Java bootstrap classloader <- Java CLASSPATH classloader <- WLS $DOMAIN_HOME/lib classloader <- Application (e.g., EAR) classloader <- web app classloader <- single JSP classloader
The Connection Manager is loaded by the web app classloader while the EJBs are loaded by the application classloader so the EJBs have no visibility to the classes loaded by the child (web app) classloader.
The simplest fix might be to move the Connection Manager jar file to the EAR file's APP-INF/lib directory.
One word of caution though, you need to be using WebLogic Server's Data Sources and JDBC connection pooling to make sure that you correct transactional behavior if the application is doing any sort of JTA transaction (regardless of whether the JTA transactions are using XA or not...).
    Hope this helps,
    Robert

  • Rwclient is failed to use in jdev 11g + weblogic 10.3.x

    Hi all
Recently we have migration from jdev 10g / 10g AS to jdev 11g / weblogic 10.3.x. After migration we found the reporting function using rwclient is failed to run.
We then discovered the report can be run by using url calls rwservlet (http://server/reports/rwservlet?...). Anyone know how rwclient works and how rwclient
    locate reports server instance. Thanks
    The setting in web.xml is
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>rwservlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>oracle.reports.rwclient.RWClient</servlet-class>
    <load-on-startup>yes</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>rwservlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/rwservlet*</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
PS. we also migrated report server to 11g and running on weblogic.
    Cheers

  • JDeveloper 11g/Weblogic Webservices: Is there a test page like OC4J?

    Hi All,
    I am using JDevelope r 11.1.2.2.0.
I have begun the process of going from a JDeveloper 10/OC4J environment, to a JDeveloper 11g/Weblogic environment.
My initial steps to migrate the code (mainly webservices) was to go through a process of generating the web services from the WSDL and the dependent schemas.
I also refactored the previous web service implementation to make it better to Unit test etc, and seperate it out from the generated stubs, as it's always a pain to regenerate the stubs.
However, this seems fine, the unit tests run fine, but when I come to deploy the the integrated weblogic server I run across a problem.
Well, not a problem as such, but in the OC4J world, you used a get a nice HTML generated page at the end point, with this you could paste XML in and submit them to the web service.
However this isn't the case in what I have produced. I am not sure what actually generated it previously, if it was jdev 10 or oc4j or something else?
Is this the intention on weblogic, or am i doing something wrong? I only get a very basic web page with a link to the WSDL ant nothing much else.
I have been banging my head against a wall for a day or so with this, and any help appreciated, it would be really useful to get that test page up.
    Thanks
    Norm

Additionally, there seems to be an issue with the bindings in the WSDL (see below)
We have 2 bindings and there seems only one servlet mapping in the web.xml, where in Jdeveloper 10 there were 2.

  • SOA Server 11g (Weblogic instance) stopping on its own on Windows 2003 OS

    Hi,
I am running SOA Server 11g (Weblogic instance) on Windows 2003 OS. The machine has 4 GB RAM and 1.8 GH CPU. The SOA Server (Java process) and Weblogic Admin Servers are stopping on its own. There are lo errors in the server log files. Please suggest if you have faces similar issues. I have installes Oracle Weblogic 11g and SOA Suite 11g on this machine. The same software runs fine on Windows XP OS.
    Thanks
    Subho

Can you please provide more information:
    1. Which version of Windows Server 2003? 32 bit or 64 bit version?
    2. Which exact version of Weblogic and SOA Suite have you installed?
    3. How long do the servers run before they shutdown(do they even start properly before going down)?
    4. Make the stdout go to the server log and then see if you can find any errors.
To do that you need to go to following under domain structure tree:
    Environment>Servers>{your admin server name} page
in Logging tab, advanced section, Put a checkmark against following:
    Redirect stdout logging enabled
    Redirect stderr logging enabled
Save and activate and then restart the server. This will log the JVM log information to the weblogic server log and hopefully you will be able to identify the issue.

I tried finding the string on the source code and delete or replace, but the only strings remainding are for example "RP2RRO_RUN_PRODUCT()", It looks like compiler finds the string within the entire word.
    I need help.

    InoL, Thank you very much.
I know rp2rro.pll was there, and I compiled it successfully, and place it to the correct folder.
but I did not know that my custom pll had the rp2rro as a program unit.
I solve this problem replacing the code inside my custom library with the rp2rro.pll code that comes with forms 11g

  • OBIEE 11g -  Weblogic Authentication Denied

    Hello All,
I did install OBIEE 11g 11.1.1.3.3 in my personal PC which has windows XP SP3 and I did choose "Enterprise Installation" as an option.
Before installing this I did install the Loop Back Adapter and also set the IP address in the Host file ( 10.10.10.10 Mycomputername mycompany.com).
Installation went through very much fine no errors at all. Analytics page was opened after the installation and When I gave the weblogic Credentials it was Unable to sign in.
When I tried to login to Weblogic Console it says "Authentication Denied".
Checked the services Weblogic Node manager started but Oracle Process Manager(instance1) did not start (1053 the service couldn't start in a timely fashion).
Then I tried to StartBIServices from Start-> Allprograms->Oracle Business Intelligence gave Weblogic Credentials .... 2 cmd prompts were opened and all services are started and also the anlaytics page was opened and gave the credentials again same error "Unable to sign in" and agin tried to login to weblogic the same error "Authentication Denied". This is really strange....
I thought this is something to do with rebooting the system after installation. So I restarted the system and started the services Weblogic Node Manager and Oracle Process Manager (instance1).
This time both of them were started.
Again tried to start the BI services Start-> Allprograms->Oracle Business Intelligence , gave the credentials ... this time only one cmd prompt was opened and it says weblogic authentication denied and its forcefully shut down and Other cmd prompt stopped at WLS.alive...

Yes, but my username and password was simple and straight its weblogic/password123...
Do you guys know how to reset the weblogic Admin password ?
I want to try to debug this error first...... If I couldn't get any help anyhow I am going to Deinstall...
but this shouldn't be the case evrytime.... because we are facing the same problem in our company ...Where we installed 11g in one of our DEV environments...
There should be a some solution for this problem...
Is there anything that I am doing wrong?
Do I need to provide more information from Logs to understand the problem?
    Thanks

  • How to export users and their roles/responsibilities from OBIEE 11g weblogic console ? (we have nearly 8000 users)

    Hi Gurus,
I am not an expert in the OBIEE 11g security area, we have an urgent requirement where in i need to obtain the complete list of all users along with their roles/responsibilities.Ours is a big organization and there are nearly 8000 users. Please advice if i need to write any weblogic script (WLST) or is there any other simple way for this..
    Thanks,

If it is through Presentation Layer,Below the steps you can follow:-
    1. Open the OBIEE 11G RPD (offline/online) in Administration Tool
    2. Select the ALL/required presentation objects form your Presentation Layer and right-click.
    3. On the context menu select “Permission Report”
4 .The Permission Report dialog displays the name and a description of the selected presentation object,
along with a list of users/application roles and their permissions. CLick the Save button to save the permissions in CSV format.
5.Once you saved to a CSV format, you can use that report for the quick auditing of security management.
Below the screen shot for the same

  • OAM 11G Weblogic Server Not listening

I have installed few things including OAM, OAAM, entitlement server etc using the 11G installation suite. (on windows 2003 server)
Also I have installed the weblogic server (forget the version, should 11 something).
I have created the weblogic domains for OAM
I have done RCU with no error message, tables created.
There seems to be no error during the installation. I ironed the steps that there are no more warning and error message.
I started weblogic server. It goes to the point to a "STARTED" state. not in RUNNING STATE. ANd the windows console stay still.
When I try to access admin console 7001 weblogic. Seems that the server is not listening, I cannot access to the user interface.
Meanwhile there are no error messages or exceptions I can trace while the weblogic server is not working.
Personally I do not feel the weblogic server is not listening because of the memory leak.
When I observe the windows task manager, I saw memory leak, the memory of the server increase steadily even the weblogic is not working. After half an hour, it throw out of memory exception. I tried to play with the heap size of java to 1024G, but no help. Problem is it is leaking no matter how much memory allocate there will be problem.
Can anyone tell me is there some steps I am missing? or is there known bugs? Or what else I can do to troubleshoot this?
I can provide you all the version of the software I am using. AFter two weeks.... since the lab would be down for renovation purposes.
    Thanks
    Eric

    Eric,
try to install JRockit Mission control to grab more details of what is going wrong there.

Anybody have any clue where is the issue and what is the fix required. Thanks for all your help.

From the logs it looks like OAM Managed Server is up, but AdminServer not. Just start it that should fix your problem. Otherwise provide us more information to help you.
    I hope this helps,
    Thiago Leoncio.
