  • Creating Tables for COPA ( Non standard)

    Dear SAP Gurus,
Pls adivse what is the easiest way to create non-standard tables for COPA ??
In addition to CE1XXXX; CE2XXXX; CE3XXXX; CE4XXXX & also COEP; COEJ; COSS; COSP;  We need to create additional tables to store the data and then perform certain calcuations before taking forward to COPA reports.
    Appreciate early response.
    Regards
    AJA

I don't think that CO-PA allows you to create non-SAP CO-PA tables. Not sure what you are trying to do. The tables used by CO-PA are standard and they will be automatically generated based on the configuration of the operating concern. I guess, you could create non-SAP tables but not aware of any functionality that will populate those tables unless you create some program code to fill them with data. You can add deriviation rules to derive charateristics from other charateristic but that is standard functionality that can be configured within standard CO-PA.

  • SAP Table in COPA

    Hello All,
I am facing the problem in COPA customisation,
I have to create the characteristic for billing document line item through table VBRP but when i select transfer from SAP table to create then the table is not available in that Table List .
how i can insert this table VBRP in that list so i can create characteristic.
    Suggest.

    Hi,
Why won't you use VBAP table or implement KEDR funcitionality?
    Regards,

  • Adding a table in allowed reference tables in COPA

    Hi SAPians,
I want to create a characteristics in COPA that is batch number. This batch number is stored in billing document item (table is VBRP and field name is CHARG). I want to have this field updated in COPA at the time of billing.
When I am going for the characteristics creation, I have two options: either create it on with reference to a SAP table or create it from scratch.
When I go for the first option, I don't have the table VBRP in the list of allowed reference tables. Instead of that, table VBAP is available that is for sales document (sales order). I cannot use this table because batch number is not known untill the step of billing. So I have to use the table VBRP that is for billing documents.
Can I somehow add a particular table in the allowed refernce tables list for characteristics creation in COPA.

Archive/trash Pages 5 and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

  • Ship-to (KUNWE) not transferred in COPA (missing in CE1* table and COPA documents)

I am trying to solve very strange problem  - in COPA some billing documents got transferred with missing ship-to characteristic (KUNWE). The ship-to is there when looking at the FI document profitabilty segment section, and also is getting transferred when simulating the same billing transfer with KE4ST. It seems like it was temporary issue that had been happening for about two weeks, but I have no idea what could have caused it. I checked the change log in KEDR and there were no changes.
Did someone had similar issue? Any advice on what could be done to make sure this doesn't happen in the future would be really appreciated.

    Thank you, Ajay.
Actually there is no derivation rule for ship-to as it is standard characteristic so it is transferred from PAPARTNER - KUNWE so how I can activate error message? I guess I need to create new derivation rule?

  • Transport COPA Value fields

    Hello Experts,
I have the scenario wherein we need to change the description of certain value fields & transport it to test & production system. I know this can be done via KE3I in which we can transport the entire operating concern but my interest lies in whether there are any potential impacts on production system in which there is already transaction data? Does this function transport the entire customization tables of COPA ? If transported to live environment, any impacts?
These questions are only to those COPA experts who have transported operating concerns for live systems containg transaction data.

    Hi
I am interested to know why you are looking for this change if want to change for reporting purpose you can change in BW from where we are getting the reports .
when you regenerate Operating concern, the old data needs to be dropped and reloaded again
which is a mamoth task and not advisable by SAP as well ,as dropping data and reloading the same their is no validation cycle for the same
    Thanks

  • What is the table name from which......

    Hi,
when i run a report KE30 - Execute Profitability Report through TCode KE30 in r/3 ( profatibility analysis and profitibility report ) from which table does the report pics the data.
Is the report generation in r/3 is thorugh ABAP only ?
    thanks in advance
    Janardhan Kumar

    Hi Janardhan,
    Hope you are fine.
The Tables for COPA Data are CE1xxxx, CE2xxxx,, CE3xxxx, and CE4xxxx,. These tables contain data at different levels.\
COPA tables are defined based on ur operating concern as below -
There is the table CE1xxxx for actual line items (where xxxx = operating concern), which contains all the data at the most detailed level.Holds the line items - Contains Profitablility Segment No, Period, Posting Date, Characteristics & Value fields.
Planned line items are stored in the table CE2xxxx.
The segment level CE3xxxx is set up between the segment table and the line items, thereby making a time-based classification possible. Alongside value fields, the segment level also contains the characteristics record type, planned/actual indicator, version, and period, as well as some additional technical details. Several lines from the segment level are attached to a particular profitability segment (that is, to a line in the segment table). These lines all have the same segment number but relate to different posting periods.
There is also the segment table CE4xxxx, which is located at a higher level. It is used to assign segment numbers to each combination of characteristic values. For the first summarization to be performed, at least the document number and the billing item are hidden.
Basically COPA Reports picks up data by default from Summarization level (if exist) .
The method suggested above may help you find exact table.
    Take Care.

  • Dragging does not move, it copies

If I read the User Guide correctly, you should be able to move a row by dragging its reference tab. It works within a table, but every time I try to do it between tables, it copies. That does not seem correct given the Guide. Has anyone understood the Guide differently or have they found out how to make drags move and not copy between tables?

I believe there is a special method for this called "Mark for Move." See if this helps.

  • Import data from few tables and export into the same tables on different db

I want to import data from few tables and export into the same tables on different database. But on the target database, additional columns have been added
to the same tables. how can i do the import?
Its urgent can anyone please help me do this?
    Thanks.

    Hello Junior DBA,
maybe try it with the "copy command".
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14117_01/server.101/b12170/apb.htm
Have a look at the section "Understanding COPY Command Syntax".
Here is an example of a COPY command that copies only two columns from the source table, and copies only those rows in which the value of DEPARTMENT_ID is 30:Regards

  • Setup table

    HI all,
why we dont have setup table for COPA, FI-SL, PS. Any of them can give valid reason

    Hi,
Reason  is FI/COPA Data sources are  Company dependent and need to configure as per company and Organization. But all Logistic Data Sources  are suitable for any kind of Company and Organization. And basic all FI/COPA DS's are less number of records if you compare LO DataSources, you you need setup tables for LO DS's.
Data will be fetched from application table to setup tables (In Lo extraction, the extractor won't allow the direct communication with the application tables) from here, data finally reaches the target
Financial Accounting data can be extracted directly from the tables.
Note :Full load: Incase of logistic application, Full/Initialization will extract the data from setup tables (contains only historical data). So if you have decided to go for full load, For full update the data will be taken from setup tables.
    Check this  link:
Why LO only having Setup tables not Others.......?

  • How to derive EXTI1 field in VTTK in COPA

    Hi,
I want to derive EXTI1 field in VTTK table in COPA, how to do that please explain.
I am not getting much details on how table lookup works, so appreciate your help on this

    Hi,
Have you created a value field w/r to the field EXTI1 in CO-PA? If yes, then you have to create derivation strategy using t.code. KEDE as mentioned below:
    1. Select Vlookup options
    2. Then input the table name
    3. After that in source field select the field name and in target filed maintain the CO-PA value field and save it.

  • COPA R/3 Tcodes

    Hi Experts,
I would like to know the Transaction codes for COPA in R/3 level.
Please let me know the all the transaction codes assosiated with the COPA in R3 level(including how to see the deltas in r/3 ..etc). I been assigned to COPA based prj to support. please guide me..mx pnts will be awarded...
    Kind Regards

    Hi,
You can see the delta from RSA7
The tables for Costing based COPA are :
1.The line item table for COPA is CE1XXXX, where XXXX represents the  operating concern eg if operating concern is 1000 then the table would be ce11000. The table contains all the data at the most detailed level. Planned line items are stored in the table CE2xxxx.
    2. There is also the segment table CE4xxxx, which is located at a higher level. It is used to assign segment numbers to each combination of characteristic values. For the first summarization to be performed, at least the document number and the billing item are hidden.
The characteristics that were deactivated from use in the profitability segment in Customizing are also hidden. Segment table CE4xxxx should therefore be optimized for processing data within Profitability Analysis, such as for the information system. Table CE4xxxx_ACCT contains external account assignment information as well as the characteristics for CE4xxxx and serves as the "interface" to other applications.
Each line at the segment level adds together the value fields for a row of line items bearing the same segment number and assigned to the appropriate posting period.
The tables for Account Based COPA are:
    1. COEJ - Actual Line Items
    2. COEP - Plan Line Items
    3. COSS & COSP - Totals records per profitability segment
    4. CEXXXX - Profitability segment definitions
