Collaboration service endpoint?

Hi,
is there any way to use Adobe collaboration services with non-Adobe applications? For example with Silverlight?
Probably I need some web service endpoint first. Did anybody try it?
Thanks.

Sorry, but I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do.
The core of LCCS is real time communication between Flash clients using Flash-only network protocols (rtmp, etc.) so if you are trying to build a set of Silverlight applications that communicate in real time this may be the wrong component for you.
But if you want to write Flash applications that uses LCCS as the backbone and also interact with an application server written using .NET we also provide some server-side APIs that you can leverage for account management and in the next version of the SDK we'll include the .NET interfaces.

  • How to configure service endpoints of custom webservice in SharePoint 2013?

    Hi,
    I have created a custom webservice in SharePoint 2013. I placed it in a sub folder under the ISAPI folder. I followed the instructions of this article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ff521581(v=office.14).aspx. The webservice works
    great, however when I try to send a large file I get the message "413 Request entity is too large".
    After some searching I found out that you can create a web.config in the subfolder and define the endpoints and bindings, after which I get an error that there is already an endpoint defined for the specified URI. I believe this has something to do with
    the BasicHttpBindingServiceMetadataExchangeEndpointAttribute but I'm not sure.
    Can anyone help me solve this issue?
    Regards,
    Sander

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to configure service endpoints of custom webservice in SharePoint 2013.
    Per my knowleadge, after you add a reference to Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ServerRuntime, you can use the BasicHttpBindingServiceMetadataExchangeEndpointAttribute.
    In VS  go to the add reference and paste the following: C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ServerRuntime.
    In addition, please make sure you create the custom web service correctly.

  • Collaboration Services: How does specify a specific language to use?

    Does anyone know how to administer the Leopard server in English, but have the collaboration services (wiki, blog, calendar, etc) run under another language, perhaps even specific to the User and/or Group?
    (formerly posted in the wrong forum)

    I just stumbled upon the solution.
    Checking the collaborative services pages (wiki, blog, etc.) on an English system will show the pages in English. If you use a computer with another system language, that the pages render according to the primary system language. So if you're using a Japanese system, Safari will bring up the collaborative services in Japanese.

  • Error encountered while polling the resource for the service endpoint

    Hello everyone
    I'm a newbie on OSB world. Yesterday, I've tried to test OSB with FTP transport and got some problems.
    As you see in the title, I've search this forum to get a solution already, but I couldn't find anything. So that I create a new thread.
    I created a new OSB project, create a new Proxy service to connect to my FTP server:
    - service type: messaging service
    - request message type: Text, response message type: None
    - FTP transport: external user (I used a Service account), Post read action: archive, transfer mode: ascii, some directories needed were created in /tmp directory
    - Message flow: Start node -> pipeline pairs
    in request pipeline of pipeline pairs node: i created a new stage: Assign action -> Log (to get file contents, error severity) -> Assign -> Log (get file name)
    The expected results are: file file content and file name (display in osb console) after I submit a text file to ftp server (using test console or ftp client)
    But, some error occur continuously after I submit a text file (I can get the file content because error raise and log catch it). The error message is show below:

  • Web Service Endpoint URI expected. Not found endpoint with URI /wssproc

    Hi All,
    We are following the steps mentioned here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/ea/c91141e109ef6fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm to configure the message level security in our new PI 7.1 system.
    We have created the RFC destination with prefix /wssproc/plain?style=document. But when we test the RFC connectioon, we get the following error message:
    Status HTTP Response     404
    Status Text     Not Found
    And response body is: Web Service Endpoint URI expected. Not found endpoint with URI /wssproc.
    Are we missing a configuration point? Do we need to create the endpoint manually? And if yes, how?

    Well, in addition to the 404 message I get the following error as well (i.e. if I go to the link http://<server>:<port>/wssproc/plain?style=document)
    Web Service Endpoint URI expected. Not found endpoint with URI /wssproc.

  • Modify service endpoint in webservices.xml throws class not found for link

    Hello, we had a problem for serveral days and have not found any solutions googling. We read the documentation and seems ok, so we are a little desesperate.
    We have a WebService project in Oracle Eclipse included in Weblogic 10.3.5 with the following classes:
    - An EJB (org.test.TestWSImpl) with the @WebService annotation:
    @WebService(serviceName = "TestService", portName = "testService", targetNamespace = "testNameSpace",
    endpointInterface = "test.TestWS", wsdlLocation = "/wsdls/test.wsdl")
    - When deploying the ear all runs ok. Now, for serveral business reasons, we need to change the defalut service URI so we added a webservices.xml and weblogic-webservices.xml.
    The webservices.xml:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <webservices xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"
         xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" version="1.2">
         <webservice-description>
              <webservice-description-name>TestService</webservice-description-name>
              <port-component>
                   <port-component-name>testService</port-component-name>
                   <wsdl-port xmlns:tns="testNameSpace">tns:testDataService</wsdl-port>
                   <service-endpoint-interface>test.TestWS</service-endpoint-interface>

                   </service-impl-bean>
              </port-component>
         </webservice-description>
    </webservices>
    In the weblogic-webservices.xml we define the new endpoint:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <weblogic-webservices
    xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-webservices"

    Sorry for the copy; a browser error. Please delete this thread

    We have found a solution removing the eclipse webservice project and adding the EJB inside the EJB project module.

  • Service Endpoint Interface and RemoteException question on the server

    Hello,
    I would like to be able to log and track RemoteExceptions when the network goes down when an attempt to send a response back to the client. I understand that Weblogic will handle the RemoteException but especially on a network failure I would like to be able to resend the message or at least notify a group that the connection is down.
    Can I have pointer on how to do this on the server as I'm sending back the reponse back to the client.
    This is an example of what I would like to do:
    public String getInformation(String xmlReq) throws RemoteException {
    String xmlRes ="";
    try {
    xmlRes = doTask(xmlReq);
    return xmlRes;
    } catch (RemoteException remoteEx) {
    handleCommunicationFailure(xmlRes); // do what I need to do
    throw new RemoteException (); // send the exception back to weblogic
    Yes, I'm new at this.
    Thanks!

    Please understand that Exception you're throwing from the body of your method you're creating the WS operation out of is mapped to SOAP fault. It is not meant to deal with network failure from the server side where your service endpoint is hosted.
    Also, in case of synchronous WS invocation, when/if the network outage takes place during the invocation, the SOAP proxy will throw a SOAPException with such information, but it won't convey any error conditions reported from the service (after all, the network has been disconnected, and there is no way to send SOAP response or fault message)
    On the server side, the service implementation business logic should/can not deal with network outage condition. However, on the client side, it's possible to have a retry-mechansim when network connection outage is temporary.

  • Loading JDO in a web service endpoint

    I have a web service endpoint (Java class exposed as a web service) I'm developing in NW04-sp9, and I'm having trouble getting access to JDO in my web service.  I have an object class I'd like to persist using JDO, and I've developed them and run the build helper utility to make them persistable.  I believe that this works, because I can look at the .class file in a text editor and see references to javax/jdo/spi/PersistenceCapable.
    In my WSE, I try to get the default PersistenceManagerFactory doing a JNDI lookup with:
    _pmf=(PersistenceManagerFactory)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/jdo/defaultPMF");
    which fails with a NamingException.  Based on another forum posting, I tried:
    _pmf=(PersistenceManagerFactory)ctx.lookup("deployedAdapters/jdo/defaultPMF/shareable/jdo/defaultPMF");
    Which actually seems to work, but when I do this, I get a NoClassDefFoundError on javax/jdo/PersistenceManagerFactory from the web service endpoint.
    I have added the com.sap.jdo application to my WSE's application-j2ee-engine.xml file, as described in the JDO chapter of the NW04 documentation.
    Any clues what I'm missing?
    Thanks,

    I did this (see my initial post), and I agree that it's a bad idea.  I didn't have much choice, though   When I did this, and I tried to cast the returned object to a PersistenceManagerFactory, I received a NoClassDefFoundError, which led me to believe that the JDO classes were not loaded into the web service container.  This is what led me down the resource reference path.

  • Web Service Error - no service endpoints found

    Hi,
    I tried to create a web service deployable proxy project to consume an external third party web service url. There were no files generated for Logical Ports and Proxy Classes, though there are files generated for WSDL and SEIs. A further test on http://ip:port/index.html -> web service -> Enter the WSDL URL of the Web service -> No Service Endpoints Found, prove that something wrong with the url.
    Any idea for me to check what goes wrong with the web service url? or could it due to firewall?

    In the meantime, there are also consuming my java-created web service using the test tool from http://www.soapclient.com/soaptest.html.

  • Web service endpoint uri

    version: OSB 10g
    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me hoe to find the service endpoint uri for a web service derived from java classes is and deployed on weblogic? In ALSB this used to be
    in a file called weblogic-webservices.xml but this file no longer exists. I have checked oracle-webservices.xml and web.xml but haven't found a reference on what the endpoint uri is. I am invoking the web service using a business service in OSB.
    thanks.
    Damien

    I was little confused about your two statements
    Can anyone tell me hoe to find the service endpoint uri for a web service derived from java classes is and deployed on weblogic? and 'I am invoking the web service using a business service in OSB'.
    From your description it appears that you want to invoke WS through business service in OSB.
    BS---?>WS (Deployed in Weblogic and Derived from Java classes) is that the case?

    If it is not available please provide me help for customizing skin of toolbar in SharedWhiteboard of LCCS,
    Thanks,
    Rajiv

    (another potential double-post, don't know why my emails to the forum are being ignored...)
    Hi Rajiv
    For Flash-only projects, check out the 3 sample applications which start
    with "Flash" - FlashUserList, FlashWebCamExample, and FlashSimpleChat. These
    should get you up and running with CS5.
    Unfortunately, if you're not using Flex, you'll find that the
    SharedWhiteBoard isn't going to work - it's completely Flex based. You could
    use the SharedWhiteBoardModel and write your own, but unfortunately
    whiteboards are pretty complicated and require quite a bit of work (this is
    why we didn't port it from Flex to Flash - no one has asked for it until
    now, and it's a ton of work).
      hope that helps

  • Influxis to Host Collaboration Service

    Dear LCCS Customer,
    I’m pleased to announce Adobe and its partner Influxis have reached an agreement resulting in a hosted collaboration service offering based on Adobe’s LiveCycle Collaboration Service (LCCS) code. The new service will be known as Influxis Collaboration Service and is targeted to be up and running by early November, 2012. Influxis has been a trusted Adobe partner for 6 years, starting as a Flash Media Service hosting company and is now a leading interactive media delivery provider specializing in video solutions. Learn more about Influxis at http://ics.influxis.com/.
    Influxis Collaboration Service will be built to support the same framework and offer the same feature set currently available via LCCS. Influxis welcomes all Adobe LCCS customers to migrate to Influxis Collboration Service. Initial services will include dedicated servers for enterprise customers and others interested in having their own personal server environment. Shared server hosting will soon follow and be in place by December 2012.
    In order to minimize impact and in an attempt to make the transition from Adobe to Influxis as seamless as possible, Adobe will continue to run its LCCS service in parallel until December 31, 2012. During this time, Adobe will also provide Influxis with ramp-up support as needed.
    Transition planning is well underway. Influxis has already begun working with Adobe LCCS customers to exchange ideas on how best to achieve a successful transition. If you are interested in talking to Influxis about their service offering please contact Wesley Daggett at 661-775-3936 or via e-mail [email protected]. In the coming weeks Adobe and Influxis will provide additional detail about the specific transition plans on the LCCS Forum - http://forums.adobe.com/community/livecycle/lccs.
    Adobe and Influxis are excited about this new opportunity and will work together to ensure a successful transition for customers who choose to make the move from LCCS to Influxis Collaboration Service.
    Regards,
    Jeff Stanier
    Group Product Manager - LiveCycle

    Jeff,
    Is there anyway that I can get a LCCS account to develop with whilst there is this limbo period before  Influxis comes online with their paid service?
    I am literally just trying to get the skeleton working while waiting.
    Any help or insights from the community as well are welcome! :-)

  • Help with alternative URL for service endpoint

    I'm trying to define a WSDL service that is behind a firewall/load balancer.   By default, the wsdl service-endpoint is defined using the same URL prefix as the wsdl page itself.  (e.g https://virtual_servicename...)  However, we need to have the service endpoint use a different prefix as it does get converted by the load-balancer.  (i.e. a firewall rule passes the traffic between the real host names, no virtual address is used)
    Question 1) -- should I be using the transport settings tab in SOAMANAGER config to create an Alternative Access URL for Transport Binding?   (I'm not sure transport binding and service endpoint are the same thing.)
    If yes to Q. 1, then question 2) -- when I attempt to create an entry in this area using the correct URL, it ends with the following error:  "SRT Framework exception: ICF: Error when creating alias node. Unknown"
    Any pointers what alias node is needed and where to defined it?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Joseph,
    CHECK THE BELOW
    GOTO TCODE: SICF
    EXECUTE->SELECT DEFAULT HOST->SAP->BC->SRT->RFC->SAP----HERE YOUR WEBSERVICE PATH , SO THAT YOU HAVE TO GET EVERY TREE PATH SHOULD ENABLE AND ACTIVE IN MENTION ABOVE. OTHERWISE U CANT ACTIVE THE BINDING AND CANT CREATE THE LINK.
    GET THE ACCESS FROM THE BASIS FOR YOUR USERNAME AND YOU ABLE TO DO THE CONFIGURATION .
    PLEASE REVERT IF ANY DOUBT
