Collapse Tasks in Gantt-View / Datasheet-View

Hi there,
i found this code to collapse tasks in views:
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"></script>
<script src="//code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.4/jquery-ui.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
(function($){
function doCollapseTaskList() {
$(".ms-commentcollapse-iconouter > img").each(function(){
$(this).click();
$(function() {
SP.SOD.executeOrDelayUntilScriptLoaded(function () {
if (typeof asyncDeltaManager != "undefined")
asyncDeltaManager.add_endRequest(doCollapseTaskList);
else doCollapseTaskList();
},'SP.js');
})(jQuery);
</script>
This works fine. But if I'm in the Datasheet-View or Ganttview (here ist the datsheet-view plus graphs) it doesn't work.
Now I wonder how this is possible to get work. Or it isn't possible?
Thank you for your help :)

Hi Amit,
Which SP do you have? You should ensure that you're upgraded to the latest version.
Check also for actual start and finish date.
Then double-clicking on the grey timescale of the timephased grid, check if the "use financial period" is checked.
Finally your file might be corrupted. In this case, use the following
XML export method.
Hope this helps.

  • Gantt View Won't Allow Cascaded Lookup Fields

    Why can't I add a Cascaded Lookup Field to a Gantt view for a list in SP 2010? I use Cascaded Lookups to create logical groupings of tasks in the Gantt (e.g. Project and sub-project). The view editor allows me to select a Cascaded Lookup field, but
    it will not display. If I try to group on a Cascaded Lookup field, it throws an error.
    As a really lame workaround, I can create a copy of the field in the lookup table as a calculated field. In the Cascaded Lookup, I can bring the cloned field in with the primary field. The cloned field displays fine.
    Any help or insight is appreciated.

    Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.

  • Gantt view - multiple dates in the same row

    Hi,
    I created gantt view showing employees' vacations. Some of them have their holidays split into several dates (periods). How can I show those multiple dates in the same row in the gantt view? I can only show start date and end date of one vacation, but would
    like to enter multiple periods to be shown in the gantt view, in the same row.
    Thanks.

    You can't using the OOTB gantt chart so you would have to look at custom development or 3rd party web parts.
    Such as (blatant plug but it directly answers the OP question) my own companies Planner web part.
    http://www.pentalogic.net/sharepoint-products/planner
    The By Category view puts timelines on the same row so its ideal for things like vacation planning, room booking etc.
    This page shows it in use.

  • SharePoint 2010 Performance Zoom In Zoom Out Button Gantt View

    Hello guys,
    I'v got a question. I've implemented a Zoom In / Zoom Out Button with JavaScript above the Gantt View, but the performace is not that good. When I presse the Buttons in the ribbbon menu it reacts very fast, but the other Buttons react in contrast very slow.
    Should I use another method of implementing?
    Best regards
    Matthias

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to customize Zoom In/Zoom Out for the Gantt View.
    Please check that whether there are setTimeout methods in your code.
    Here are some JavaScript functions that you can use for Zoom In /Zoom Out feature.
    function ZoomIn()
    WebPartWPQ1_JSGridController.ZoomInGantt();
    function ZoomOut()
    WebPartWPQ1_JSGridController.ZoomOutGantt();
    “WebPartWPQ1” is the ID of the Gantt View Web Part, you can find it by using F12 IE developer.

  • Sorting tasks in daily view

    Does anyone know if there is a way to sort tasks while working in the daily view of the calendar? I know the tasks can be opened in their own window and sorted by the various columns. However, I can't seem to sort the tasks in daily view and can't seem to understand how they are sorted by default.

    Hi Lily,
    Thank you for the information. Now that I understand how the tasks are sorted by default in daily view, is there a way to modify this on the client side?

  • Gantt view in sharepoint 2013

    Gantt view is not changing when the "style" option is selected for different types:
    - Basic Table
    - Boxed, no labels
    - Boxed
    - Newsletter
    - Newsletter, no lines
    - Shaded
    - Preview Pane
    - Default
    Regards,
    Revathy.

    Hi Revathy,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to change the styles of Gantt View.
    I test the same scenario in my environment, however, the result is the same as yours.
    It seems that the style options only work for the Standard View in SharePoint 2013.
    If you want to change the styles of Gantt View, you need to use code to customize it.

  • Does The Gantt View Support JSLink

    Is it possible to set JSLink on Gantt View?
    This definition is not working:
    <View BaseViewID="104" Type="GANTT" WebPartZoneID="Main" DisplayName="GanttChart" Url="GanttView.aspx" SetupPath="pages\viewpage.aspx" ImageUrl="/_layouts/15/images/events.png?rev=23" >
    <JSLink Default="TRUE">/_layouts/15/mynamespace/js/jquery-2.1.1.min.js|/_layouts/15/mynamespace/js/GanttViewFix.js</JSLink>
    I have tried using the UI but when the Gantt View is selected the Misc section of the Web Part settings is not available.

    It's possible to extend the SharePoint gantt control. Take a look at this blog post: http://tomblog.insomniacminds.com/2011/07/09/sharepoint-2010-customizing-the-gantt-view-and-the-client-grid/

  • Differing dates in Gantt view and the Task Usage view

    Hi,

  • How to get flagged messages in to tasks or alternatively view another users to do list.

    If someone could just help me out I would be extremely appreciative.
    2 of us work in one mail box together called admin. when one of us is away we like to use the flags to create follow ups for each other on certain email items.
    Firstly, I can only see my main accounts to do list
    Secondly, when I flag a contact / message / anything in fact, in any mailbox it only appears in their respective to do lists and not in their tasks. Thus I cannot see what I have flagged for them at a glance as I can not find a way to view other peoples
    to do list. i.e. neither of us can see any of the flags in the shared mailbox we use (admin) unless we log in under a different profile, which is troublesome as it takes way to long to switch back and forth.
    I presently use colour categories to delegate who is currently in charge of answering certain emails and use custom flags to note what we are waiting for in particular to a certain email and then mark a tick when it has been dealt with. Simple system but
    not currently working in full due to the follow up flags not appearing in tasks.
    This also affects my task synching on my mobile where once again it only shows what is in tasks... i.e stuff I have physically typed in outlook rather than flagged content; mails, contacts etc.
    Any ideas how to get the follow up flags appearing in tasks or an ability to see other peoples to do lists... the first is more preferable but I will take what I can.
    Kindest Regards
    Woody

    Just add the 'admin' mailbox as additional account in Outlook, as opposed to additional mailbox (i.e. don't add it from Accounts Settings -> More settings -> Advanced, but from File -> Add account instead).
    It will then show flagged items and tasks from all accounts in the 'To-do' list.

  • ADF forms based on BPM human tasks - Invoking webservices/view objects.

    Hi All,
    Is anyone aware of whether the following is a valid implementation that has been carried out before.
    1. ADF forms based on BPM 11G human tasks.
    2.The ADF forms invoke webservices via Webservice data controls. It is pertinent to note that the webservice bring back complex data types. We've tried writing a few forms, resulting in data benig brought back, but not being able to print them to the screen.
    3. The ADF forms also use View Object based on sql to bring back tables of data. If view objects are embedded within the forms, the applciation gives rise to a null pointer exception.
    Considering the form will be invoked via a BPM worklist entry, is there a setting or configuration we should consider before hand. Is this feasible, is there knowledge of this being done commercially.
    Any examples or information regarding the same will be immensely helpful.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Preethi.
    NB : I have posted this in the BPM forum as well as I feel it is relevant to both BPM and ADF.

    Hi Joonas.
    Plese let me explain me better for your understanding
    A big summary for what I meant it's the following:
    1- In the procces you made, when you add the HT activity, you have to implement it, this means declare the input(s) parameters you want. This implementation create the .task file.
    2- Create an application, and projects as HT you have. Each poject are based on the .task file, and automatically create a Data Control (for each project based on a .task) with all you need.
    This w'll be an empty application, so you can customize it all you want. The task selected should have all the parameters previously defined. Those parameters can change if you want.
    2- Create a page(s) in the task flow for the task implementation. You can even split the the payload of the task in differents pages, create your custom pages and any logic you need.
    3- An important aspect is how to match these application with the HT implemented in the process. It's possible, it's a configuration en the Enterprise Manager.
    4- Deploy your application
    All these are explain in the book I mentioned
    Th book you can find it here:

    Regards Dariel.

  • BUSINESS PROCESS FLOW (BPF) TASK SETUP - CURRENT VIEW OPTIONS

    This article explains a few findings regarding the options on Current View Type for setting up Business Process Flow tasks and will discuss BPC for Excel, Data Manager and BPC Web tasks.
    Future posts will cover more tasks.
    This is valid for 5.x versions only.
      IMPORTANT NOTE:
    DATA MANAGER PACKAGES
        Data Manager Packages tasks such as Run Specific Package, Run User Package are not integrated
        with the Current View Type selection. Therefore, the options Inherit from Data Region, Inherit from
        Current View or Member Lookup does not work on Data Manager Packages. This is due to the diversity of Data Manager Packages, such as Import, Export, Clear, Default Formulas, each of them requiring a complete different set of parameters, some of them not related to the Current View.
    1. INHERIT FROM DATA REGION
      Once you choose to Open a BPF from BPC for Excel, you are prompted to choose the Data
      Region. Upon setting the desired Data Region, the Current View is changed
      accordingly on BPC Web.
        OPEN TEMPLATE / REPORT LIBRARY / SCHEDULE LIBRARY
        If a step is defined as Open Template/Report Library/Schedule Library
        and INHERIT FROM DATA REGION is set to one (or more) of the Data Region
        dimensions, the Current View on BPC for Excel should change to match
        the settings done Data Region settings, being the same as the one on BPC Web.
        SET WORK STATUS
        Same as above.
    2. INHERIT FROM CURRENT VIEW
        OPEN TEMPLATE / REPORT LIBRARY / SCHEDULE LIBRARY
        If a step is defined as Open Template/Report Library/Schedule Library and INHERIT FROM
        CURRENT VIEW is set to one (or more) dimensions, the report will pickup the Current View
        from BPC Web and BPC for Excel should change to match the Current View,
        being the same as the one on BPC Web.
        Example:
        1. Log on to BPC Admin on ApShell -> Manage Application Sets;
        2. Go to Business Process Flows -> Budgeting Process;
        3. Grant access to the BPF to your test user;
        4. Check Sub-Step 1 of Step 1 - Check Budget Data. This steps has a
           INHERIT FROM CURRENT VIEW setup (ENTITY).
        5. Log on to BPC Web on ApShell;
        6. Go to Open a Business Process Flow and choose Budgeting Process;
        7. Choose the desired Data Region;
        8. On BPC Web, verify the value setup for ENTITY on the Current View;
        9. Open the Check Budget Data;
        10. The ENTITY on the Current View will be set up accordingly to what
            was set on BPC Web.
        SET WORK STATUS
        Same as above.
    3. MEMBER LOOKUP
        OPEN TEMPLATE / REPORT LIBRARY / SCHEDULE LIBRARY
        If a step is defined as Open Template/Report Library/Schedule Library and MEMBER LOOKUP
        is set to one (or more) dimensions, the report will set the Current View
        on BPC for Excel to the member that was configured.
        Example:
        1. Log on to BPC Admin on ApShell -> Manage Application Sets;
        2. Go to Business Process Flows -> Budgeting Process;
        3. Grant access to the BPF to your test user;
        4. Check Sub-Step 1 of Step 1 - Check Budget Data. This steps has a
           MEMBER LOOKUP setup (CATEGORY).
        5. Log on to BPC Web on ApShell;
        6. Go to Open a Business Process Flow and choose Budgeting Process;
        7. Choose the desired Data Region;
        8. On BPC Web, verify the value setup for CATEGORY on the Current View;
        9. Open the Check Budget Data;
        10. The CATEGORY on the Current View will be set up accordingly to what
            was set on the Task configuration, in other words, there should be BUDGET set
            on the Current View.
        SET WORK STATUS
        Same as above.

  • MSS - Workflo Tasks Query setting - View Delete

    Hi SCN Members,
    No delete option is enabled to delete the standard view for MSS - Workflow Tasks in Query settings. Please refer attached screen shot, this view has strange field names.
    Please let me know if there is option to delete/hide.

    Hi Naddy,
    It is not possible to enable the 'SAVE' and 'DELETE' buttons, for 'STANDARD VIEW' but you can do for 'SAPInitial' View.
    Just you need to 'ADD' or 'REMOVE' some columns in the SAPinitial View then it will activate 'SAVE'. Once you click on SAVE for your changes then it will activate the 'DELETE' button.
