Collapsible Panel within another Collapsible Panel HEIGHT ISSUE

Having an issue with the height of a collapsible panel that has another collapsible panel within it not adjusting. I am using Dreamweaver CS5.
When I try the fix of changing line 431 in .js (where you change "px" to "auto" where it says this.content.style.height = this.toHeight + "auto";) it does not work in IE7 or Firefox. If I change the height inferences in the .js on lines 392, 431, and 439--it worksperfect in Firefox, however it throws an error in IE7. Anyone have a clue???
Here is my page: http://www.l-3choosewisely.com/dev/

Help would be greatly appreciated. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me!

For right now I have "semi-fixed" the issue, by adding a min-height to my second collapsible panel set, but really am NOT HAPPY
with it... please help me, it has to be something with the auto-height... I know I am looking right at it and just not seeing it.

• How to load an Applet on a panel, within another Applet

Hi,
I want to know if and how it is possible to load an applet/application on a Panel within another Applet/Apllication.
Who can help me?
tnx

You want to use an applet inside an other applet?
Applet extends Panel
you can take the source of the second applet, and instead of extending Applet extends Panel, and call the init method from the first applet.
Hope this help

• Disable all the components of a panel ( panels within the main panel )

Hi guys!
I have a problem!
i have to disable all the components of a panel. please note that i am also having panels within the main panel. please tell me how to do that!!!
its urgent!!

Hi guys!
I have a problem!Wouldn't have figured that one out by myself ...
its urgent!!No, it's not.
You know, a panel is most often a subclass of Container, so all you need to do is recursively disable all child components. The methods getComponents and getComponent are very helpful when trying to access child components. Code likeif ( comp instanceof Container )
// do soemthing
}will help in determining whether a child component is yet another Container.

Depending on the development environment, I can imagine that DW has a problem.
My systems is Windows7, i7 processor, 8GB ram and it does take a while for DW to add an extra collapsible panel.
Possible solutions
use accordion panels
hand code the second collapsible panel
use a Collapsible Panel Group
To hand code all you have to do is add the following to your document, in the appropriate places amking sure that the ID corresponds.

Tab

Content

and
var CollapsiblePanel2 = new Spry.Widget.CollapsiblePanel("CollapsiblePanel2");
For more info on a Collapsible Panel Group see here http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/collapsiblepanel/CollapsiblePanelGroupSamp le.html

• Spry Tabbed XML data panels within HTMLPanel not working.

Many thanks for reading.
s
I trying to provide a rapid solution using adobe's samples
to make Spry Tabs work within an html panel (in order to avoid
many links in my page).
I am using the following code:
initial page with html panel with the ready products.js to parse the links:

// Our initialization function which unobtrusively attaches
// click handlers on the product links within the page.
function InitProductPage()
mainPanel = new Spry.Widget.HTMLPanel("mainContent" , { evalScripts: true });
var observer = {onPostUpdate: function(){ Spry.Data.initRegions('mainContent');
mainPanel.addObserver(observer);
// For every link on the page which points to a product page,
// attach an onclick handler that will intercept clicks and
// and fire off a request to load the URL via the HTMLPanel.
// For these links, we want to load the static product page
// and extract out the content underneath the "mainContent"
// node.
Spry.$$("#productPageLinks a").addEventListener("click", function(e)
mainPanel.loadContent(this.href, { id: "mainContent" });
return false;
}, false);
// For every link on the page which points to a product HTML
// fragment, attach an onclick handler that will intercept clicks and
// and fire off a request to load the URL via the HTMLPanel.
// For these links, we are loading HTML fragments, so there is no
// need to specify an ID to extract out. The HTMLPanel will insert
// all of the content recieved.
Spry.$$("#productFragmentLinks a").addEventListener("click", function(e)
mainPanel.loadContent(this.href);
return false;
}, false);
// Add our InitProductPage() function as a load listener
// so that it gets executed once the page has fully loaded.
Spry.Utils.addLoadListener(InitProductPage);
XML data and stuff all loaded correctly
What I am trying to do is to load a second page from a link in my initial page
that contains a Tabbed Panel.
The page loads but no panel functionality exists. The first Panel load correctly but behaves as a simple html page .
I have searched several hours the forums and playing around by moving the definition of Spry.Widget.TabbedPanels within
the initial HTMLPanel page and other spots but this produced js errors as expected (because the tab panel definitions exist in bookcategories.php)
which is loaded only when it is called.
Any ideas?
Page to load is like this :
<bookcategories.php>

Ok I went back through everything and checked to make sure my
files were in the right places both my SpryTabbedPanels.css and my
SpryTabbedPanels.js are in the SpryAssets folder and they work fine
until I try and add data from an xml file to them then the tabs
populate with the info but become unclickable and the content area
has every bit of content in on tab. Below is what I have let me

• Link to Spry Tabbed Panel IN another Spry Tabbed Panel

Hi, I am having trouble trying to figure out how to link from another page to a tabbed panel that is inside another tabbed panel.
I have followed the tutorial on this site http://foundationphp.com/tutorials/spry_url_utils.php and have the link working properly. I have changed some code and now I have a tabbed panel residing in one of the tabs on an existing tab.
Here is an image of what it looks like.
I have my link on page A that links to "Hunts" on page B. I added the animal tabs panel. Each tab has images of each type of animal.
Here is my link code:

This works good and opens the tab I want.
Now what I want to do is click on an "Elk" link in another page and have the "Hunts" tab open and the "Elk" tab open as well.
I have tried things like:
This does not work.
This does not work.
On another site I have created I have used this code:

This worked but ithe link was on the same page. Could I adapt this to work from another page?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks Winrol

You're creating a new panel every time an action is performed. That panel is never going to be visible unless you add it to the frame.
Either remove the old panel and add the new panel or add the label to the panel you already have without creating a new one. Then call validate on the whole frame, and it should work.

• Set an object equal to another (ie Panel = Panel)

It is kind of hard for me to subject this out. What I am trying to do is to set an object o equal to another object, but within components.

<mx:Script>

</mx:Panel>
otherPanelComponent.mxml
<mx:Panel ...>
//do stuff
</mx:Panel>
So, my programming logic tells me that since both of these are objects and they are panels, they can be equal to each other. How do I do this?
I hope it was clear.

• Change the order within the navigation panel

Hi everybody,
within my navigation panel i have two iview, the detail navigation and an own iView (Web Dynpro within the dynamic navigation of a page). Until now the detail navigation appears at the first position in the navigation panel. How can i change the order within the navigation panel so that my own iView will be shown at the first position?
regards,
Sid

Hi Raji,
iviews can be ordered alphabetical. You can set this function in Systemadministration -> Service-Konfiguration -> Applications -> com.sap.portal.ivs.iviewservice -> iViewsSrv. Then you can set this value to ture (sorting true).
You can also change the sort-priority value in the property of each iview to 0..n.
I hope this will help you.
regards,
Sid

I'm trying to format an HTML page, using the Grid Panel component to arrange various text and images.
In one of the text sections I need a bulledted list, but can't seem to find a way to do that, within the Grid Panel.
I need this page to be a JSP page, as it is going to be dynamic.
All help/advice would be appreciated.
Regards
Haroon

One

Two

Three

</h:panelGrid>Hope this helps
Cheers

• Add a panel on another panel

I am working on a program and need to put one panel into another panel . I have been successful at adding the panel
however when i do this i cannot set the size of the 2nd panel. The first panel on the frame is just fine
i have tried adding the panel to the first panels constructor this works the panel shows up but i am unable
to set the size of the panel which is the problem.
I tried calling this.setSize in the second panels constructor to solve this problem no luck there
i have also tried adding the 2nd panel to the frame but this produces the same problem as stated above
im really stumped any help woul be appreciated
here is some code i have
This is the frames class with the first panel added
public ICUFrame () {
super("ICU");
canvas= new ICUPanel();
add(canvas, BorderLayout.CENTER);
setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
setSize(1000,1000);
setVisible(true);
} this is the panel on the frame
only the constructor is required here as the rest is just code for drawing etc...
public class ICUPanel extends JPanel {
DiaDisplay d ;
SysDisplay s;
public ICUPanel(){
super();
setBackground(Color.BLACK);
ICUMonitoring monitor = new ICUMonitoring();
Thread rep = new Thread(new Repainter());
d = new DiaDisplay(220,20,40,200);
s = new SysDisplay(420,220,40,200);
rep.start();
}// end of constructor
}this is the 2nd panel i am trying to add to the 1st panel
public class ECGPanel extends JPanel {
ecgDisplay e;
public ECGPanel(){
super();
setBackground(Color.white);
e = new ecgDisplay();

i have tried.. What happened to your shift key? Please apply it once at the start of every sentence, rather than those rare occasions you 'feel like it'. Adding an upper case letter to each sentence makes it easier for people to quickly scan the text, looking for ways to help. You would not want to make it harder for someone to help, would you?

• Dynamically change image in another front panel

Hi everyone,
I have a 2D picture that is shown full screen on another front panel and when i enter new inputs (focal length or wavelength) in the main front panel, the picture in that second front panel will change. But I want the picture in the second front panel to be changed dynamically when I enter new inputs. I've tried doing it using a button ("Full screen") to make the picture change but it only be changed if i close the full screen picture and click on the button again. I would like to know if there are other ways of changing the picture dynamically without using any buttons.
Thanks

• How to merge the Panel with another Panel to One Panel?

As Title!!

i will give it a shot. by no means do i say it is correct being a beginner myself
Panel aPanel = new Panel();
Panel anotherPanel = new Panel();
Panel mythirdPanel = new Panel();
aPanel.add(anotherPanel);
aPanel.add(myThirdPanel);
this should create one panel called aPanel with two panels inside - another Panel first, followed by mythirdPanel second. This should be in FlowLayout pattern as that is default unless specified.
That is my guess and my shot.

• Center a panel in another panel

Good day:
I am trying to center align (horizontal & vertical centering) a panel in another panel.
How would I go about doing this?
I have tried a few different layout managers, but they have not produced the results I am looking for.
The parent panel is fixed sized, but the child panel is dynamic.
Please help!!

Thank you for your post, I greatly appreciate it. However, I tried both of those methods, and my child JPanel is always being placed in the upper left corner of the parent JPanel.
Here is some code showing my initialization of the JPanel, and the adding of the child JPanel:
Creating the parent JPanel:
imagePreview = new JPanel();
imagePreview.setBackground(Color.white);
imagePreview.setBorder(new LineBorder(Color.black,1,true));
getContentPane().add(imagePreview);Adding the child JPanel
void displayThumbnail()
wallpaperChanger.imagePreview.removeAll();
wallpaperChanger.imagePreview.add(new viewer(THUMB_LOCATION));
wallpaperChanger.imagePreview.repaint();
}If it helps, the viewer class:
class viewer extends JPanel
private Image image;
public viewer(String fileName)
Toolkit toolkit = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit();
image = toolkit.createImage(fileName);
MediaTracker mediaTracker = new MediaTracker(this);
mediaTracker.addImage(image, 0);
try
mediaTracker.waitForID(0);
catch (InterruptedException ie)
System.err.println(ie);
setSize(image.getWidth(null), image.getHeight(null));
//show();
public void paint(Graphics graphics)
graphics.drawImage(image, 0, 0, null);
}
