College Student need of assistance with component creation

To whom it may concern,
I recently purchased the Multisim software and there where components left
off
that are essential to I, the student and consumer. My software didn't come
with any UJT's and very few SCR's. I understand that some way I can create
a
component using the component wizard. For novice, it is not that easy and
how
am I to be certain that it is working correctly without defaults. I found
PSCIPE models for some of the components that I need to complete some of my
assignments. If you could add, some if not all of these. But I most
especially need the SCR C106F to complete a design project for one of my

Whether or not you'll have any use for Automator depends on how you use the computer. It's there to make using the computer easier, something that everyone can benefit from time to time.

Need help in Custom component creation with cq

I have created my own component in adobe cQ and able to drag an drop in any page. for each instance I am seeing the copy of
component under node /content/mypage/commoncomp. If I edit the properties using design dialog I can able to store values as
expected.
Need help in
1) When I drag and drop the component it shows null for the property by deafult if I click save on edit dialog then the
value is showing. The default value is not shown by default while drag and drop my component it requires atleast one time to
click save from dialog using design mode
2) I need to use the default properties of the orginal components which is root and use the duplicated properties if incase user edit the properties of duplicated component. This may be too messy.... to be more clear
I want to use a common component in many pages but the properties of the components should be updated only when user edit it in design dialog utill then I need the page to use properties of root component.

You just need to create your own version of PlumtreeTopBarView (original in com.plumtree.common.uiparts), and use CustomActivitySpace.xml to override that view with your own view. Your version would use some kidn fo logic to determine whether or not to display certain elements. TheUI Customization Guide should help quite a bit, and we have several quickstarts for overriding views you can start from.
Is there some Help file in PT that I can reference that will enable me to find what namespace does GetRequestURL() belongs to?I would simply do a string compare. Tokenize the URL into the base address / control arguments, perhaps splitting on the "?" symbol; then tokenize the base address on the ".". You'll end up with three strings. For portal.plumtree.com, the three strings would portal, plumtree, and com. You can then use those string in the logig you add to PlumtreeTopBarView.

Only the previous owner can unlock your phone. Apple cannot help you (and you are not talking to Apple here, this is a user-to-user forum). You need to contact him and get him to remove the phone from his list of devices, and get him to unlock it. Without this you cannot use the phone.

Need some assistance with multiple problems (8330 Curve)

Hello all,
I am recent buyer of an 8330 (Verizon). I like it a lot and find it a very useful tool. Being new to the BB world, I do have some questions, that I cannot find answered on any of the BB forums.
So here they are:
1. I have two e-mail accounts setup on my BB. So this means that I should have only two e-mail options under applications. I have three and the third one seems to get messages from both of my two other accounts. What is also weird is that there is no e-mail header on the top (like with the other two e-mail folders). How do I get e-mails to stop going in to this folder and basically delete it? The other strange thing (that I just noticed is that this generic e-mail box gets some e-mails that my other two accounts never see (even though they have their correct e-mail address on them)!
2. How do I create sig lines for my e-mail accounts? I have read the help pages, but the instructions they give me for creating signatures on my outgoing e-mails does not work.
3. Does the new 4.5 SW upgrade allow me to use the GPS capability with my phone? I bought the download Garmin SW for my phone ONLY to find out later that Verizon has blocked this feature! It should would be nice if either VZ or Garmin would have made that crystal clear when I got my phone. :-(

1. That is the "Messages" folder. It is a dumping ground for ALL messages including all emails, sms, mms, pin, BBMessenger (if selected) and any others like Browser messages, etc. You can't stop messages from going there but you can hid the icon, if you like.
2. To create signatures for email you have to use the BIS logon from your PC. Use the link below to do this:

3. Upgrading the OS does not allow you to use the GPS with other software like Garmin. This is a Verizon lock and there is no way around it. They want you to pay for their service.

Noobie school student needing some help with sqlplus on linux Oracle 10 XE

I'm just learning so take it easy on me. I spent all night installing Oracle 10 XE on linux and trying to play catchup with my class. The problem I'm having is. When using sqlplus from the command prompt, I have setup a table called CUSTOMER. When I display the table with the select command the table output is messed up. I understand the default line size is 80, I used to SET LINESIZE command to change it to 150 char long. That helped a little. however its still messed up. I'm wondering if it now has to do with the way I set the table up. From the example in my book
it says to setup a column with the name CUSTOMER_NAME char(35) or set aside 35 spaces for the name could this be why its still messed up just to many spaces set aside? or Is there another
setting I'm missing? or could use.

Need simple assistance with static ip

Here's the deal: I know you can update your HOSTS file in Win2000 to get around the static ip issue with 9iAS. Here is my problem... I have Win2000 WS that is not part of a domain - just "workgroup". The computer name is matrix. I have tried the following HOSTS file edit unsuccessfully:

Am I just an idiot or is there something else I need to know?

Need advice/assistance with kernel upgrade planning

As information/background, I have been away from SAP and basis for about four years.
Due to personnel changes here, I am now returning to it. While I was away,
our SAP system was upgraded from version 4.0B to SAP R/3 ENTERPRISE 47X110.
I was not a part of the upgrade and have no details as to how it was accomplished.
At this point, we have two SAP systems: DEV and PRD and they are on separate
partitions of an i5 520.
Both are running on OS/i5 V5R3M5 with mostly updated CUMe packages, etc, and
PASE is installed.
Both of these systems use the 6.20 kernel at patch level 1598.
We know that this is an OLD kernel and we need to upgrade.
Upgrading the kernel used to be a really simple thing to do but now, it seems
so complicated! The sheer volume of data on the SMP is very dauntingwhen
it can be found. As a result, I have many questions:
1.     Should we upgrade to kernel 6.40 or kernel 7.00?
2.     The most recent support package that we have is SAPKB62028.
What is the purpose of support packages? Do they have anything to do with the
kernel version? The reason I ask is that in some places, it is stated that
you
MUST be current with support packages before you attempt to upgrade your kernel to 6.40. In other places, it isnt even mentioned.
Note 664679 states:
   Before you can use the 6.40 kernel,
the following Support Package must be installed in your SAP system:
   SAP_BASIS 620: SAPKB62041
   To avoid the problems described in note 787328,
the following Support Packages are also recommended:
   SAP_BASIS 620: SAPKB62047
So, obviously, I need to get these support packages up to level 47. Why?
Isnt the new kernel a fresh start? Why would the existing kernel and
its support package level make any difference to the new kernel?
Since we are currently using kernel 6.20, do I need to install support
packages ?
5.     I know that we dont have a J2EE server. Do I need to even worry
about that at all?
6.     Is there any basis functionality that exists in the J2EE server
that doesnt exist anywhere else? In other words, are we doing ourselves
(and, particularly, me) a disservice by not having it?
7.     What is the difference between SAP NetWeaver 04 and SAP NetWeaver 2004s?
8.     As long as I have a backup, would it be safe to create a new kernel
for DEV but leave PRD alone? Will the transport functions still operate if I do?
9.     Someone mentioned an R3OPT Support Package Stack. Would this be
preferable to loading from the installation CD and patching?
Is this in addition to the new kernel installation?
Any information is greatly appreciated because, as you can see,
I have a lot to learn in a very short time.

1) So, I must use 6.40 kernel. What determines "basis 6.20"? YES - 6.20 kernel is no longer supported - even for not for 4.7 or other systems on basis 6.20
2) Okay, you agree with SAP that I need this package but...
a) I don't know where to get it - on the SMP in the Support Package Patch area ... look via the following web-page and then 4.7: http://www.4soi.de/SupportPackages.php
(I did it without this patch already, but I can only support Thomas, that is pretty tricky then ...)
b) I don't know how to install it - SPAM as usual ...
c) WHY do I need it if the new kernel totally replaces the

YOU do NOT have J2EE - otherwise you would know that - it was very complicated to setup in the past. => be happy as long as you do not need it.

NetWeaver on 6.20 technology doesn't really make sense. Therefore, please wait until you upgraded to ECC 6.0 or install another 7.0 product next to it ... (but not everybody needs that - so be happy as long you do not need to install that)

Student needing URGENT help with flash presentation...

I am working on a flash presentation with galleries buttons ...basically the full lot. The presentation brief is for a Kiosk - computer in a museum, which when its not being used will go onto a screensaver.
So my question is ...after ive done the screensaver, how to i actually get it into my main presentation? I've looked ALL over the internet for tutorials and found nothing. Any help that anyone can give will be great -

presumably there will be some user input (like a screen touch) that will trigger your presentation's start. you will create a listener for that input and when detected stop/remove your screensaver and start/add your presentation.
typically you would use a timer of some sort to detect a lack of user activity for some minimum duration that would trigger your presentation to stop and the screensaver to be re-started.

Captivate 3 converts these to full motion clips. This may be
worth a try, but I'm guessing you might see the same effect of
losing the 3D bit. You can launch Captivate and PowerPoint, then
press the F9 key to begin recording full motion. Press F10 to stop
recording. Then see if Captivate records the 3D effect as you want
it to be. It may or it may not. But it may be worth trying.

I'm new to this and I need some assistance with centering.

I believe that it is a simple soultion but one that eludes me. From what I've read it involves tweaking the CSS rules for the container, I've tried that but no luck. I'm trying to add an external mp3 player to my page and center it with a certain distance from the items located at the top of the page. Here is my code for the page.

First and foremost, get rid of the APDiv.
AP in APDiv stands for Absolute Position. It uses a pixel distance from the top left of the page and draws the element in that location no matter what happens with the rest of the page. You can't center an absolute positioned element.
You also have some other errors in your html that are going to cause problems.
Run your page through the validator at http://validator.w3.org to get a listing and fix those problems.
If you get everything cleaned up, remove the APDivs and are still having issue centering your info, post back with your updated html and we can take a closer look.

Need some assistance with dynamic database updates done through a loop

In the part of my application that I'm currently working on
I'm trying to dynamically update a local database every time a
change is made to the dataProvider(ArrayCollection) when a dragDrop
action is done. After doing some more research I found that the
update "function"(my trace placeholder) is fine where it is, the
problem is that it is firing the insert function for each and every
row every time something is dragged onto the datagrid essentially
cloning all the entries in the database while updating the original
items. So I've narrowed down my problem to figuring out how to get
the insert function to fire only once for new items and skipped
when updating items. The database is a local as this is an AIR app,
I'm posting this here since I feel this is more of a flex issue
than an AIR issue. I've already tried adding an else clause to the
if statement but that doesn't work along with else if. Thanks in
advance.

Ok, one thing I'm going to try today is this; essentially I'm
going to
say, "forget that for-loop, just let it update the
dataProvider". What
I'm going to do is write another function that runs each row
of the dp
through a filterFunction and checks to see if it is there or
not, if
it is there, then update the editable values, if not, then
insert a
new row. Since this would be invoked after the dataProvider
update, I
may just save it until the user closes the window in any way
and then
run this as a save and quit function. It would also help to
be able to
have it available in a button.
If anyone has a better idea on how to do this, don't hesitate
to tell me.

Hello! I'm in desperate need of assistance with opening a PDF with Adobe Reader.

I am trying to download course work and the online forum that the course work is on addresses the common issue of PDF's not converting and not being able to view the complete detailed page. I have the free Adobe reader XI and I also just purchased the Adobe package for $90 a year thinking this will solve my problems but they have not. WHAT TO SHOULD I DO? I have missed 2 days of course work because I am unable to see the assignments.

Sorry, I do not understand "PDFs not converting"; what are you trying to convert them to? Using what software?
Also, what is your operating system? If these PDFs are online, what browser do you use?
