Cololr Labels Getting Dropped

I had had this issue with my old G4 and now have it with this brand new iMac. I would appreciate advice on how to solve it. I use the color labels on some important docs or folders. About 75% of the time after I have opened an item, the color labeling vanishes, forcing me to click on it and reassign the color label. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Try starting the computer in Safe Mode, this will clean some of the caches among other things. The instructions are located here.
After it has fully come up, shut down the computer and restart as you normally would and then test. Please post back the results.

  • In flex charts the label for next month get dropped

    I found for DatatTimeAxis if you set disabledRanges to the last date of the month the label for next month gets dropped using property labelUnits='months". Any ideas? Below is the code:

    When i am logging/ Capturing my mac is telling me that i am getting dropped frames. would i need to get a LaCie Hard Drive?

    To be honest, I've had 2 Lacie drives crash out of 2 bought.  That's not a good track record for me.
    Your best bet  (I'm a computer professional, for what it's worth):
    Get a hard drive case or enclosure that supports firewire 800 and put your own PC hard drive (SATA for example) 7200rpm or higher hard drive into it.
    Let me explain a bit more.  External hard drive manufacturers often put no-name hard drives into fancy cases to cut costs and that's how they make a profit.  I've have had nothing but problems with with these types of drives. (Like Lacie) You are much better off getting some type of decent drive enclosure and getting your own GOOD hard drive.  I would highly recommend Seagate, I have NEVER had a problem with a Seagate drive in 20 years of owning PCs and Macs.  Western Digital is also a good brand (though I had 1 crash). These are the types of drives you would put in your Mac Pro.  You want to get an SATA hard drive.
    I have owned several external cases where the case electronics fried, but the hard drives were still in good shape. Take the hard drive out, put it into a new case you're good to go!
    For video you want to make sure that your hard drive case supports Firewire 800!  This is mandatory.
    My personal favorite, (and I own 5 of these) is Vantec's NexStar hard drive enclosure.  They accept any SATA 3.5" drive (I bought mine from a company called ComputerStop).  I have yet to have a single problem with any of them.  They are solid aluminum casing, you can literally throw them into your backback, drop them on the floor and your hard drive is fairly well protected from impact damage (at least you won't break the case with anything short of a sledgehammer).  I am currently looking at getting a second one of these:
    http://www.vantecusa.com/gl/product/view_detail/173
    (My bad, this is an IDE case up to 750GB)
    This the one you want:
    http://www.vantecusa.com/gl/product/view_detail/354
    As far as the hard drive, you can get a Seagate Baracuda drive 1TB at 7200rpm drive for about $60.  The case and hard drive together, maybe a few over $100 for the whole thing.  With shipping, and tax figure about $150.
    Don't let the price fool you.  It will rock.
    Story: I got an iOmega "raid" case with two Seagate drives in it and the iOemga case fried, but the hard drives were still good. Fortunately, they were in two removable trays.  I put them into two "rocketfish" hard drive cases almost 3 years ago and I am still using them every day today.
    Moral of this story:  It's the quality of the hard drive that matters, not what case it's in.
    Is it hard to set up?
    Not at all.  You put the hard drive into a tray, (with Vantec case), screw it in.  It only goes in 1 way.  Plug in a power cable to the drive.  Slide the tray into the case (carefully, don't munch the power cable!) and screw it in place. You can literally do it in 10 minutes or less.  There are, of course instructions, but if you are reasonably clever, you can literally see what plugs into what just by looking at it.
    Sorry for the long reply, but I have a lot of experience with external drives and I hope this helps others.
    Finally, when you make it to the big time you can spend $400, get yourself a firewire RAID enclosure and you can upgrade to 4 external hard drives in 1 enclosure.  Figure $800 for that set up, but you can go up to 12 TB of drive space with that, or up to 3TB if you are running redundant discs.  But that's a whole other ballgame...
    Peace.

  • WLC 5508, SW 6.0.199.4, 1142 AP: Clients getting dropped intermittently

    We have deployed a WLC 5508 w/ SW version 6.0.199.4, 1142 AP's & open authentication w/ MAC filtering. Clients are randomly getting dropped with "Limited Access" shown in Win 7. In this state, the client machine is unable to ping the gateway and sometimes lose their DHCP assigned IP as well. A manual disconnect/re-connect to the SSID is required everytime.
    I ran a debug on one the clients stuck in the "Limited Access" state (debug client xx:xx:xx:xx):

  • Air play keeps getting dropped from TV

    Since the latest software update, videos I'm watching sent from my iPad using airplay keep getting dropped. Is there a problem with this update?

    I learned from my IT department that this is now a known issue, affecting many people at my firm. The word is that Apple told them to wait for iOS 8.1 to fix the issue. I upgraded to 8.1 but the issue still occurs, exactly as you describe it. Here's hoping 8.1.1 comes out soon and addresses the issue!

  • Not able to print label getting standard text as it appears in so10

    Hi,
    I have a  so10 object ,script contains only one window i.e main and we call so10 object  in script  by using statement    'Include &standrdtxt& object text id ST lang EN' ( standrdrxt contains text name)but instead of printing label it is printing the exact thing maintained in so10 object. the so10 object contains lines as mention below
    <STX><ESC>K<ETX>
    <STX><60>SI<62>L1000<ETX> , etc.....
    As it is apperaing in the print preview,what is the <STX>....<ETX> and where it is maintained .What should i do so that  label get print .

    Hi,
    The below is the full information what exactly is happening .
    the user  had a Win 2000 computer that the Intermec 3600 is attached through nullmodem serial cable as a local printer.  The user would log on to SAP on that computer and selected the ZNW_DTILABEL transaction (driver program). Within the transaction, the user would specify LOCL to send communication to printer.  The Win 2000 machine is being replaced due to  discontinued support issues later this year.The new machine has Win XP and does not currently communicate with printer.
    user is telling that
    There must be something in this transaction programming that assumes language from Win 2000 that a recent 1/12/2010 Hotfix KB97220 had to be removed off the Win 2000 computer in order for the SAP transaction to communicate to the printer.
    I don't find anything in coding which is not allowing to print label, if i print from my PC i am getting text <STX>...<ETX> as said in first post instead of label.what would be the problem with XP or wht needs to be maintained in XP.

  • Exception table getting dropped

    Hi,
    when i dropped a table from the source, the exception table at the target also getting dropped and a table created at the source will also create/override exception table with the new table's structure. So i am wonding if anyone has any idea or
    have gone through similar situation.
    Here is my replicat setup:

    You have "DDL INCLUDE ALL", which means any "drop table" on the source DB will be replicated to the target DB.
    If you don't want to replicate DDL, then just omit this statement altogether (DDL replication is not enabled by default).
    If you want to replicate DDL but not for specific objects, then use "DDL INCLUDE {what_you_want}" or "DDL INCLUDE ALL, EXCLUDE {what_you_dont_want}". See the GG Admin guide (ch 14) for how DDL synchronization can be configured[1]...
    For example,
    <pre>
    DDL INCLUDE ALL, EXCLUDE OBJNAME "goldengate_owner.exceptions”
    </pre>
    or,
    <pre>
    DDL INCLUDE OBJNAME "goldengate_owner.*", EXCLUDE OBJNAME "goldengate_owner.exceptions”
    </pre>
    Note: it could be the formatting of the message, but "MAP GGATE_T1., TARGET GGATE_T1.;" doesn't look right. You should always have "schema.tablename", where tablename could be a wildcard... perhaps it was supposed to be => MAP GGATE_T1.*, TARGET GGATE_T1.*;" ?
    Cheers,
    -Michael

  • HR Analytics - DAC error -Informatica mapping parameter values getting drop

    I am running HR Analytic full load against People HCM 9.1 but DAC load is failing. When I looked Informatica log files, I saw $$HR_WRKFC_EXTRACT_DATE values getting dropped. Like TO_DATE is showing O_DATE in the log file and due to that Informatica workflow is failing.

    Workaround to this issue, is to override INFA_CODEPAGENAME variable in the Integration Services to Latin1 and change the Integration Service code page to ISO 8859-1 Western European.
    1. In Informatica admin console, go to Integration Service -> Processes tab
    2. Edit the Codepage and change it to 'ISO 8859-1 Western European'
    3. Edit Environment variables and add:
    LANG = C
    INFA_CODEPAGENAME = Latin1
    4. Restart integration service.
    Let me know if this helped.
    Regards,
    Jay

  • Report Assignment are getting dropped from report management

    Hi Gurs,
    For the Real Group substance, nine real substances has been assigned in report management. when Iam trying to create a report of new version for real group some of the report assignement are being dropped from real group. any idea why the reports are getting dropped.
    Thanks in Advance
    Thanveer Ahmed.

    Hello Thanveer,
    it seems to be that you are using SAP Enterprise Extension 2.0 (EH&S 2.00 version does not "exists" and has never been made available to SAP customers to my knowledge). This EH&S has been former known as EH&S 3.2. Actually EH&S does not get any version number any more.
    Coming back to your question: the oss note you found seems to be the only one. I did the "same" research like you. So I have really no idea (may be place new OSS) because we are using an older EH&S version and there it works.
    Coming back to your last remark:
    Can you help me with all Functional scenario's for specification assignment on report management.
    If you take a look in the actual help of sap you will find this page:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/a7/288aa30a6c11d28a220000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
    (report Management (EHS-SAF-REP) => Report Managment Worklist => Specifiction Assignment
    Here you will find a subchapter: Assigning specifications to reports)
    In this chater this is explained:
    Specification assignment can be defined differently for each report version. When creating new versions (or when replacing one version with another), the new report u201Cinheritsu201D the specification assignments of the previously valid report.
    This reaction is what I would expact.
    In my opinion the scenario which SAP describes there is clear enough. Again here is the story:
    a.) you have a specification and you generate a report (first time). You release it (generation variant/Language combination) in version 1.0. Now in using cg50 you can enter on report header additionaly specifications regarding which the report is valid too.
    Lets assume this: you have generated the report on specification A and added B and the report is "released". Now if you use cg54 and you use specification in an query A and B you will find total two released reports. The report on the level B is "inherited" from A (this is shown by using a different icon). Now if you generate version 1.1. on specification A (same geneartion variant etc.) the link to the specification B must be inherited to the new report header.
    This functionality is in my opinion rarely used on SAP EH&S customer side. The reason is "simple".
    a.) there is no mass update of specifications which should be added to the report header and the queriy which can be done there is "very" simple
    b.) you need to take care about adding new specifications to the report header (becuase the version before does have a differnt number of specifications)
    c.) the process to delete the link is not easy in daily work
    In any case: please check the report distribution process. There are some pitfalls etc. inside so thet the report which is released on A can be used on B too in report distributon. Bit this is a different story.
    To summerize: the process is in most cases to complex for normal EH&S users. Therefore other options should be analyzed.
    With best regads
    C. Bergemann
    PS: you need to "save" the assignment in cg50; only an idea: may be you missed to do that

  • AD HOC Conferencing. Customer gets dropped when Agent leaves call.

    We have the conferencing setup so that the conference only ends when Onnet agents leave the conference.  For some reason an agent conferences in a supervisor and then leaves the call which then drops the customer.  It is not with every call.  DSP resources are hardware and very plentiful.  The phones being used are 7942's.  The BiB is turned on and no MRGL are associated to the phone level.  I am not sure why a customer is getting dropped.. RTMT shows plenty of DSP resources and CM has the correct service parameter.  Can anybody lead me the right way?

    So I think this has to do with CVP warm transfers.  The script has network transfer set to 0 and a send to vru node in it.  This is clearly a signalling problem.  Probably going to have to start a TAC case.

  • E4200 - constantly getting drop wireless connection

    First, if you only plan on using the ports on the back for network connections, I have had no problems. My issues are all deal with the wireless connections. I am constantly getting dropped and when I called Cisco/Linksys support, I was told that I needed to turn off my wireless N and have all the devices connect at a slower speed.

    First of all please verify that you have got a 802.11n card in your computer. New generation routers (i.e. E4200) speaks an entirely different language than 802.11g cards, so while those adapters can work with the E4200 for example, they are not optimized to work with it. It is like having to translate from one language to another in real time when going from N to G... So in those cases the old router will show a stronger signal than the new one.
    SECOND, make sure the adapter driver is up to date.
    Try to do the following steps:
    A] With the help of Cisco Connect Software (if at all you have installed the router with the help of this software)
              1] Open the software and go to the option which says "Router Settings"
              2] Then click on the option which says "Advanced Settings" which will take you to the router's configuration page.
             3] Then go to the Wireless tab, keep network mode as mixed,
     For Channel Settings of 2.4 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
     For Channel Settings of 5 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 40 or 161...
    B] If you haven't installed Cisco Connect then you can log on to the router's user interface using it's default IP address in the browser which is 192.168.1.1 and type in 'admin' as the password leaving the username field blank. This will take you to the router's web interface and then follow steps as mentioned above to make the changes.

  • STILL getting dropped frames

    Upgraded hard drives and memory on my Macbook Pro 2011 15inch:
    Hard drives = LaCie 3TB Thunderbolt (external) & WD 750GB (internal). Both are 7200 rpm.
    Memory = 16GB Corsair RAM
    Editing video files recorded with a Canon T3i (1080 @ 24fps, 720 @ 60fps).
    Using FCPX from my internal drive and editing files from my external drive, I still get dropped frames. Anyone have experience with this or know how to work around it without using proxy media, etc.? I was hoping Thunderbolt and increased memory would help me edit smoothly on FCPX. Any advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks everyone.

    hi
    yes it does matter h264 is NOT and editing codec it is a delivery codec. Dropped frmaes or stuttering do matter when you edit because you cant possibly edit to music if some of the the frames are stoicking for 4 frames or more.
    Google h264 and prorez and see the difference between the way they are encoded. Very simply h264 stores a lot of informtion in key frames. if you edit a piece of footage thgat os h264 sometimes these key frames are cut away and they have to be remade on the fly. That is why yo can see dropped frames, or stuttering on edit points.
    Some people mistakenly think fcpx cannot handel it, even though Quicktime or VLC can play it perfectly.
    ProRez 4444has alpha channel information as well, unless you specifically need this, ie you are compositing layers and need the transparecy information, stick to proRes 422.  Dont know why the computers heating up? Maybe its as fed up as you?

    It is also relatively easily to dial 911 during the palm reset process as well.  Maybe a confirmation screen would be nice.
