Com.bea.workshop.cmdline.antlib.CheckManifestVersionTask cannot be found

I get the above error when building my portal application using ant. I read another post on this subject where the issue was resolved by using the JDK supplied by weblogic. However, that did not work for me.
Also, I am trying to build the portal on my local machine using Workshop 10.3.
Pls let me know if anyone has any other thoughts. Thx.

please post the exact error, you classpath probably isnt correct or your properties like workshop.lib.dir etc are correct

    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply.
I found the problem. I mistakenly compiled the extension backing class with JDK 1.6 instead of the required JDK, namely 1.5.0.6. (for weblogic10, 9.2 and sip server).
It seems that the WL server is sensitive to this issue.
Thanks to sortel who had the same issue 2 years ago and published the solution here: [url http://forums.bea.com/bea/message.jspa?messageID=600003718&tstart=0[/url]

Is something setup wrong in my environment or is there an error in the product?
After some searching I found the missing weblogic.wsee.wsdl.WsdlException.class in both
    BEA_INSTALL_DIR\wlserver_10.0\server\lib\weblogic.jar and BEA_INSTALL_DIR\wlserver_10.0\server\lib\wseeclient.jar.
Since this is a server side project I decided to try including the first one to the build path of my project ServicesWeb.
Just to be safe I restarted BEA Workshop and tried to switch between the Design View and Source View.
A new error appeared and after following the same process as above yet another.
Some of the them were missing e.g. com.bea.util.jam.JElement and com.bea.xml.XmlException.
I found some of them in jar files in BEA_INSTALL_DIR\modules, but also in jar files in the zip file
BEA_INSTALL_DIR\wlserver_10.0\server\lib\wseeclient.zip. So I decide to unzip that file and add
all the files to a user library in BEA Workshop and then add that user library to the build path of the project,
    and removed BEA_INSTALL_DIR\wlserver_10.0\server\lib\weblogic.jar.
Now I didn't get more errors. I was able to complete the source and create and start a server.
But then when I attempt to run the service on the server I again get "An unexpected error has occurred." and the stack trace:

This is again a class from BEA_INSTALL_DIR\wlserver_10.0\server\lib\weblogic.jar, so I added it back to the build path of the project.
After another restart of BEA Workshop I successfully started the server.
    But publishing fails with:
    Publishing failed

Web services in ServicesWeb have errors.
java.lang.RuntimeException: com.bea.xml.XmlRuntimeException: java.util.zip.ZipException: The system cannot find the path specified

This one I haven't been able to find a solution for.
    Could anybody please help?!

  • Silent install of BEA Workshop Studio 10.1?

    HELP!
How do I script a silent install of BEA Workshop Studio 10.1? The instructions for BEA Workshop Studio 3.3 don't work. I've figured out that I need a silent.xml, but what options should I put in there? Is there any documentation?
Thanks very much for any assistance!
    yours,
    Simon Rakov

    http://edocs/wlw/docs101/guide/ideuserguide/conSilentInstall.html
The above link provides properties specific to Studio installation.
NOTE: If you are a licensed customer (i.e. if you are using properties WLWIDE_ORDER_ID & WLWIDE_SERIAL_NO) then in addition you need the following workaround:
    After Silent installation, edit Studio10.1\workshop_10.1\workshopStudio\eclipse\plugins\com.bea.workshop.product.wstudio_1.0.1 - ins.properties and modify "trial=false" - Save
    - Now, when you launch the Studio the license activation takes place in the background (you need to restart the workshop)

  • Wsdlc: Provider com.bea.xml.stream.XMLOutputFactoryBase not found

So I'm trying to run wsdlc in Eclipse (and as a command line, both don't work). I want to run wsdlc without having to run setDomainEnv.cmd first (painful if i'm in eclipse). I've gotten previous commands (8.1 stuff) working w/o running this first. If I add weblogic.jar to the Ant runtime classpath it also works, but again, I want to avoid this because a) i've never had to do it in the past and b) it blows up my <junitreport> task because it tries to use weblogic's SAX stuff.
    The error I get is:
    javax.xml.stream.FactoryConfigurationError: Provider com.bea.xml.stream.XMLOutputFactoryBase not found
Anyways, is there a way to set up the classpath within ant for just this task? I've tried adding weblogic jars into wsdlc classpaths but it doesn't seem to work.
It seems that com.bea.xml.stream.* can't be found anywhere but weblogic.xml.stream is in there. Any way I can redirect the XStream stuff to point there? I've tried system properties but didn't seem to work.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Andy O

Hmm... so that works as long as i add all of those jars to the ANT runtime classpath which is what I want to avoid in the first place. I'm starting to think it's wsdlc that's not paying any attention to the classpathref's I'm giving it.
Previous weblogic ant tasks never required the jar to be in the ANT runtime classpath and I could just pass it a classpathref to the my weblogic jars and thing worked fine.
    Any other help?

Try adding p13n_system.jar. It contains the exception class you need and should

  • BEA Workshop Pro trial not installing on windows 2000

    Hi,
I am trying to install BEA Workshop pro trial version on windows 2000. I have teh JDK 1.5 installed.
The install just stops before getting to the BEA splash and the before the user licence agreement. I ran the installer while holding the "control" key (as noted in another thread)
and this is what I got:

Can anyone help me, I'd really like to try this software out.
    Thanks,
    David.

    David,
Can you try passing in the 1.5 VM location manually as listed below
    WorkshopInstaller.exe LAX_VM d:\bea\9server\jdk150_04\bin\java.exe
Can you also make sure that the 1.5 JVM value entry is the first entry in the PATH environment variable.
    cheers
    Raj

  • Web Service over SSL failing in BEA Workshop

I have deployed a web service on weblogic 9.2
I have enabled one-way ssl on it. got a trial ssl certificate from verisign. installed them on the keystore/truststore on the server as well as the jre (cacerts and jssecacerts truststores) being used by the client. the client is on different machine than the server.
i have developed the service through 'bea weblogic workshop 9.2' now when i try to test the service through the 'web services explorer' within bea weblogic workshop i receive the following error:
IWAB0135E An unexpected error has occurred.
    IOException
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
    on server:
<Jul 13, 2009 6:45:44 PM EDT> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090485> <CERTIFICATE_UNKNOWN alert was received from yunus.l1id.local - 10.10.2.72. The peer has an unspecified issue with the certificate. SSL debug tracing should be enabled on the peer to determine what the issue is.>
if i try to access the web service (over ssl) through the browser (ie/firefox), it works fine. i have generated a proxy class to access this web service through the same bea workshop and that works fine too. certificates are identified and all. i also created a small .net (c#) application that calls this secure web service over ssl from another machine and it works fine too!
of course non-secure url for the web service is working fine in every case.
what can be the reason for this failing only in 'web services explorer' in bea workshop?

    thanks.

    Hello,
I used this example, when I made my experiments with SSL and Glassfish (GF):

If you have problems with GF I suggest to post a message here:

Could any one help on this.
    Best Regards

I have deployed CF 9 on WebLogic 10.3.4.
The K2Encrypt error occured when I was accessing the CF Admin page and I would get blank pages.  The workaround to that was to change the adminconfig.xml setting of <unsetupwizard> to false.  Everything seemed to work, but then when I accessed the Coldfusion Collections page then I would again see a blank page and the K2Encrypt error in the exception log.
The K2Encrypt class is provided by the verity.jar which was being picked up, although not properly it seems, by ColdFusion in its class path.
As of 8/15, support at Adobe confirmed that this was an issue after they replicated the same problem.  They stated that they have escalated this to their engineering department.

  • Jar file for com.bea.xbean.util.XsTypeConverter

I am using weblogic 10.3.5 I used clientgen to generate java classes for a webservice and a few classes are using the class XsTypeConverter.
I have imported weblogic.jar but it says package does not exist com.bea.xbean.util.XsTypeConverter.
Where can i find the jar file for this under weblogic?
    Thanks,

Thank you so much for the reply.I have included all the jars you suggested.I could not find wlfulclient.jar in my weblogic home but there was
wlclient.jar so I included that but face the same error.
I used weblogic 10.3.5 clientgen to geberate the java classes then why is it that the classes it uses cannot be found in the same version.
where jar will have the file com.bea.xbean.util.XsTypeConverter.
I have searched a lot on internet but not able to find anything. Please help
