Combining 3 descriptions in a hierarchy as one description for a Row

Hello Expert,
If a hierarchy has levels 1, 2,3,4 with descriptions
Level 1 --- Brands
Level 2 --- Colors
Level 3 --- Flavors
In BEx, I showed row as Brands and users can drill down on this hierarchy to see the volume and then drill further down to see the Flavor.
Our users are looking for a way to see in the row Brand Colors Flavors as a single description without drilling down before seeing colors and brand.
I am thinking of a way to concatenate 3 different nodes in a hierarchy as a single description for row.
Any help on this will be appreciated

This might sound far-fetched but try this out....
U can write a texts extractor (generic extractor using function module) that reads the leaf nodes in the from the hierarchy tables. (/BIC/H<infoobject>) This leaf node will give u a concatenated master data entry.
Now, using this concatenated entry, u will need to search for the individual descriptions in their text tables (/BIC/T<infoobject>)... and this would be returned as the new description.
Problem is, you would probably have to create a copy of the base infoobject (flavours) to store the new description and use this wherever u want the concatenated descriptions...

Hi Derek. Do you know where your active iTunes library is? If not download & run the script iTunesInfo which should output something like this:
I'm interested in the values of the first four lines. If needed you can hide your username with <User> if it's in there. Also worth checking that media folder location given by the script agrees with Edit > Preferences > Advanced. If not, let me know.
Which of your drives has the most free space? Ideally you should move your current library to that drive as X:\iTunes (when X: is the drive letter) and then consolidate all your existing content that wasn't inside the current iTunes Media folder. I can descibe what to do on a generic basis but with the details I can produce a step-by-step guide that will be easier to follow.

A Printer told me awhile ago when i bought in some stuff, that I can combine the pdfs all into the one pdf. Can anyone tell me how you do that and also can I do this with pdf's that are different document sizes? I am making an inviation, program, place cards and certificates for an awards ceremony, and wanted to know if I can combine all my pdf's into the one big pdf, even though they are are all different sizes.

If you combine PDF files in Acrobat, remember that when you save your new larger PDF with save as command, it will be saved as PDF version that your Acrobat uses, in Acrobat 9 that will be PDF1.8. Some printers want PDFs to be PDF1.3... in those cases you need to optimize your PDF´s compatibility back to PDF1.3...
Personally I don´t understand why that is required, because usually reason for that is Transparency, or fact that printer doesn´t want any Live Transparency in those PDF files. But if PDFs have been made properly, theres no live transparency there in the first place....
Anyway, I have bumped in to that requirement few times....

Unfortunately, you can't. IDs can't be merged. You'll just have to pick the ID whose itunes account has the most purchased items.

I found out how to do what I wanted and I'm giving my steps in hopes that it might help someone else. I wanted to put several photos from a file onto a new blank image. This is what I did.
1. Create a blank page.    File/New/ Blank File.   Put in the size. I used 8x10.
2. Bring the photo you want to use into Elements as you always do. It will list along the top next to the blank sheet.
3. Choose SELECT (top of screen)/ Select All.
4. Choose Edit/Copy   or Command "C"
5. Click on the Blank File.   Chose Edit/Paste or Command "V"
6. Click on Image/ Transform or Command "T". There should be a dotted line around your pasted image. You can then move and adjust the image to how you want it. When finished, press the check-mark on lower right of photo.
7.   Repeat this with all the photos you want on the new blank file.
8. You will see on lower right of Elements, the background layer and as many layers as you have photos. These layers need to be permanently placed on the background layer. Go to Layers and press Merge Visible. This will merge all layers to the background.
9. Save as and you are done.

Multiple hierarchy in one dimension

hi ,
i have a dimension with 4 levels and 2 hierarchy . one hierarchy uses all 4 levels (default hierarchy) and one uses 3 levels .
i have 2 cubes , one cube needs to use hierarchy 1 from that dimension and there is no problem on validation time .
one cube needs to use hierarchy 2 of that dimension when i uses 'deploy all ' as deployment option , OWB says to me that i have to use last level of that dimension . I use relational implementation .
can i use diffrent hierarchy of 1 dimension in diffrent cubs ?

Hi Sankar,
You can define Employee, Organization, Physical, Customer & Product as navigational attributes of Role and in the query enable the hierarchy for Role. Then pull Employee, Organization, Physical, Customer & Product under Role this way you will be able to display, the hierarchies of Employee, Organization, Physical, Customer & Product under the nodes of Role hierarchy in the order in which you place them in the report.

Combine Work Center Link Groups in one Work Center

Hello Experts,
our requirement is to combine the Work Center Link Groups of several Work Centers into one Custom Work Center.
For example, the work centers Knowledge Management and Managing Operations. (IC-MGRKM, IC-MGRMA)
They have Work Center Link Groups like IC-MGMA-CR or IC-MGKM-CR. Now we defined an own work center Y-IC-MGRMA and assigned these links groups (and others) to the Work Center.
However, when we open the Work Center we only ever see links of one work center type (for example only the links of Knowledge Management).
Is it even possible to combine the different work centers into one big work center with many links? What would we have to do to achieve this?
Help would be appreciated!

If I am not wrong you are assigning standard work Center Link Groups like IC-MGMA-CR & IC-MGKM-CR to newly created Work center Y-IC-MGRMA .If I try the same, all related links can be made visible. The process you are following is correct.
You may have confused with the nomenclature of your work center ID - Y-IC-MGRM. Please look into the "Group ID" column, if you are assigning standard group links as mentioned above you will find three logical link ID for Knowledge management & two for MGMA too. In short if five logical links are available in second level navigation then things are correct at you end. I tried it and its working fine.

Combine docs with same data fields, one overrides the other

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me. My company uses pdf forms where we have to combine multiple pdfs of different people filling in the same base form. When we try to combine them it comes up that one overrides the other fields with the same names. This takes all the information from one form and puts it in what is supposed to be a different form.
The error box that comes up says we must use a PDF portfolio to do this without having the override but the portfolio doesn't work for what we need.
Is there a way around this? We have to use the same form so of course there will be the same field names.

Hi Chanda,
I believe you are maintaining the cash flows in your account dimension. You can maintain 2 hierarchies in the account dimension for different purpose.

Hi Madhu,
By default, you cant use a transformation to load data into the Hierarchy Master data.
I havent tried it myself, but for you to explore, I'll suggest the below idea.
Write an ABAP program to download the hierarchy table data from 0material into a flat file.
Create flat file datasource to upload hierarchy to the other infoobject.
Put both of them in a process chain and execute one after another.
