Command Line to Paste Bin

I found this thought it was a great little find sometimes it can be tricky getting the output from stdout etc to a pastebin.
People may have network but not x working just thought perhaps it needed somewhere a little prominent as it would probably help some new users.
http://sprunge.us/
Most other ones I've found have needed scripts.

nopaste, wgetpaste, pypaster, vim-pastie, pastebin, gnopaster, pastebinit, wklejarka, gist. All of them are in extra/community/aur

  • What is the command line equivalent of the *compress* tool in *Finder*

    I have an automatic build setup for our iPhone Apps. The one issue i face everytime is that the zip file that i create in the build using zip command is always rejected by iTunesConnect server as invalid binary. When i compress the .APP folder manually using Compress from the *Finder menu*, that archive is always accepted. The size of the zip files generated is slightly different.
    Does anyone know what would be the command line equivalent of the Compress used by the Finder ? I want to automate this process so that someone does not have to do a manual compress before uploading it to iTunesConnect.
    Thanks in advance,
    -TRS

    a Mac user wrote:
    That is odd, are you sure you are using the command line correctly then? Because zip-ing from the command line should be the exact same one as from the utility in OS X.
    It's not the same, though. As someone else pointed out, the Finder uses a program called "Archive Utility.app", found in "/System/Library/CoreServices". A quick look at the binary shows that it uses the following Unix command line apps:
    /usr/bin/macbinary
    /usr/bin/file
    /usr/bin/tar
    /usr/bin/applesingle
    /usr/bin/binhex
    /usr/bin/ditto
    /usr/bin/gunzip
    /usr/bin/bunzip2
    /usr/bin/uudecode
    /usr/bin/atos
    I would have to look into how iTunesConnect accepts files.
    iPhone apps are signed binaries, so if one byte is different when they arrive at the app store, they won't be accepted. The command line zip leaves out some information and so the package appears to have been tampered with and they're rejected.

  • Application command line (PDF)

    I'm trying to launch another PDF-report by using application command line. I manage to create the report in to file but is there a way to launch it automatically "on the top" of the first report or on it's own window?
    This is what I have now on the application command line:
    C:\OraDS\bin\rwrun.exe c:\kkk\test userid=aki/aki@db destype=file desname=c:\temp\test.pdf desformat=pdf

    The way that I'd approach this would be to run the report through a URL to the reports server rather than a direct call to rwrun.
    In your command line you're telling reports to run the report to file (which it's doing correctly). If you run it via a URL then the reports server should stream the output back to the browser window, where it'll be read by Acrobat.
    Hope this helps,
    Danny

  • Use frmweb.exe to start a form from command line

    Following the following doc "start any Oracle Forms component from the command line"
    http://www.oracle.com/webapps/online-help/forms/10g/state/content/navId.3/navSetId._/vtTopicFile.f1_help%7Cbldr_dev_opts%7Cstart_fb_comps_cmd~html/
    I tried the following two command line
    D:\DevSuiteHome\BIN>frmweb module=c:\files\orders userid=scott/tiger@r12
    D:\DevSuiteHome\BIN>frmbld module=c:\files\orders userid=scott/tiger@r12
    The frmbld successfully brought up the forms builder and open the orders forms.
    But the frmweb did not bring up anything. I wonder if there are other parameters I need to provide rather than just module and userid......
    I looked into the html of the form applet, and wondering if passing all the parameters would be sufficient enough for the frmweb to start
    <PARAM NAME="serverArgs"
    VALUE="escapeParams=true module=c:\files\orders.fmx userid= sso_userid=%20 sso_formsid=%25OID_FORMSID%25 sso_subDN= sso_usrDN= debug=no host= port= buffer_records=no debug_messages=no array=YES obr=YES query_only=no quiet=yes render=no record= tracegroup= log= term=">
    So I did this from command line, but still nothing.....
    D:\DevSuiteHome\BIN>frmweb.exe escapeParams=true module=c:\files\orders.fmx userid=scott/tiger@r12 sso_userid=%20 sso_formsid=%25OID_FORMSID%25 so_subDN= sso_usrDN= debug=no host= port= buffer_records=no debug_messages=no array=YES obr=YES query_only=no quiet=yes render=no record= tracegroup= log= term=

    That is a bug in the documentation. You can only start Forms from a URL starting from 9.0.2.

  • Command Line Tools installs the latest version of clang (and others) in /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/... but not in /usr/bin/

    I've upgraded Xcode to the latest 5.1 Installed Command Line Tools via xcode-select --install Homebrew tells me "A newer Command Line Tools release is available"
    brew --config:
    Xcode: 5.1 CLT: 5.1.0.0.1.1393561416 LLVM-GCC: build 2336 Clang: 3.1 build 318
    Checking my clang executable:
    $ /usr/bin/clang --version Apple clang version 3.1 (tags/Apple/clang-318.0.58) (based on LLVM 3.1svn)
    $ /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/bin/clang --version Apple LLVM version 5.1 (clang-503.0.38) (based on LLVM 3.4svn)
    So it appears Command Line Tools didn't install clang (and perhaps other executables) into /usr/bin? I checked my other laptop (w/ Mavericks), and /usr/bin/clang is version 5.1.
    So I'm guessing this is the problem? I've tried to reinstall Command Line Tools as sudo, but now it won't let me install again (says software isn't currently available).
    Can anyone help me with this? I've spent hours on it now, but can't find a solution.

  • Oracle Express 10g - SQL Command Line - copy and paste?

    Is there a special key to copy and paste SQL statement in the SQL command line?
    I'm doing a spool and this can only be achieved through the SQL command line. Thanks for the help if any.

    It uses the functionality of the shell it is running in.
    If you're using Windows, right-click on the title bar, select Edit then Paste from the menu that pops up.
    If you select Properties from the menu, you can enable Quick Edit mode, which lets you paste using the right mouse button.
    You can use the up arrow key to recall previous commands.
    If you're using Linux, I think you can paste with the right mouse button. (Or is it the middle mouse button?)

  • Command-line paste problem

    Hi!
    I have a following problem: When I try to paste long input to my command-line app, only few first lines are pasted.
    I see, that I Can copy that to apps like TextWrangler, TextEdit.
    What Can I do?
    Regards.

    How long is "long"? Could there have been hard returns in your copied text?
    If you find you cannot paste it in the Terminal, can you still paste the same text into your text editor?

  • Append 'init=/bin/systemd' to kernel command line

    I have just updated my Arch_64bit and have been adviced by Pacman to ":: Append 'init=/bin/systemd' to your kernel command line in your bootloader to replace sysvinit with systemd".
    I dual boot Ubuntu and Arch and use the GRUB2 from Ubuntu. I have installed Arch's Grub to its own partition.
    However there is no /etc/default/grub in my File System instead there is /boot/grub/menu.lst... mine is a recent Arch install and  I wonder how I ended up with Grub1.
    In /etc/default/grub I would have edited: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash init=/bin/systemd". I have no idea how to deal with Grub1 /boot/grub/menu.lst.
    Pointers will be helpful.
    Also, why do I need to append 'init=/bin/systemd' to the kernel command line? Without doing so my Arch is booting and working fine. So far I haven't encountered any issues I can tell with my current Arch, the way it is.
    Do I need really need to append the above to my Kernel command line?
    Thanks

    Thanks Jason, (and thanks for the quote I use as signature)
    However, it turns out that I may  NOT have installed GRUB during Arch install... 'coz there are no 'stage' files in the /boot/grub there is just menu.lst and also because mine is only a few months old Arch install.
    #pacman -SS does not show GRUB as installed. So I did not install it.
    So how do I go about it?  Do I have Install GRUB now to "append 'init=/bin/systemd' to kernel command line"?

  • How to create Bin Release folder of my Application through command line

    Hi friends

    is this possible?Waiting for reply.

    Hi Vineet,
    To do what you are asking, I think you will want to use Ant from the command line (DOS).  Rather than go over the details of how to do that here, the Adobe Live Docs seems pretty thorough: http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=anttasks_1.html

  • Can't open .term Terminal.app files from command line

    Howdy. I use Terminal.app constantly for ssh'ing into numerous remote machines. On my G4 Powerbook I have simply created .term files with customized colors, titlebars, and an appropriate ssh execution string for each machine/userid combination, which I am able to open with "open ~/bin/foo.term". Life is no longer so joyously simple on my new Intel iMac. I create a .term file (via Cmd-s while in a terminal window), but the above command to open foo.term now simply doesn't work on my iMac once a single terminal window has been opened (even after it's been closed) -- I can start one such file only from the finder or via Launchbar or Quicksilver. The only way I can use my .term files is by switching to Terminal and selecting File...Open and clicking on the .term file -- which, being a command line (and Launchbar) junkie, I hate, of course. Applescripts don't work either.
    I would be forever grateful if someone could tell me how to fix this problem!
    txlogic

    iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    TXLogic
    I cannot do it either.
    Ah, interesting -- thanks for the input. I had thought the problem might have something to do with the fact that I was using an Intel iMac, but you are using a PPC iBook. The problem isn't with 10.4.6 either, as that is what I'm running on my G4 Powerbook, and the .term files work as expected on that machine.
    Initially I thought it was a
    problem with permissions, i.e the term file hadn't
    the execute bit set (which it did not). Setting the x
    bit though did not help at all.
    Right, the .term files aren't executable.
    A work around was to
    save the command(s) into a plain text document in
    text edit (not rtf) as a .command file (no txt
    extension in this case) and set its execute bit in
    terminal (sudo chmod u+x ...).
    I don't quite understand the workaround -- what command(s) exactly did you put into the .command file? Could you paste the contents of such a file here?
    I have not dealt with term files extensively but I
    noticed that .term files are xml ones. Could anyone
    shed some light in possible changes in the way
    terminal handles them?
    Since the .term files work as desired on my Powerbook, it now doesn't appear that Terminal.app has changed its processing of the files. Something else is going on here.

  • Help Please: How to invoke unix command lines from java?

    I have read past topics. Those are really helpful, but I still haven't got my job done. I tried the following:
    String command1 = "ls -la > ls1.txt";
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command1);
    String command2 = "tcsh -c ls -la > ls2.txt";
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command2);
    String command4 = "cp keywords.txt copyversion1.txt";
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command4);
    String command5 = "tcsh -c cp keywords.txt copyversion2.txt";
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command5);
    String command6 = "tcsh -c 'cp keywords.txt copyversion3.txt'";
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command6);
    Only "command4" works. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much Gautam. Your solution certainly works. If you don't mind, I would like to ask you (or anybody who is willing to answer) something else. I am trying to run other types of unix command lines as well. I thought that the format you gave would work for everything. But it doesn't seem so:
    String command1[] = {"tcsh", "-c", "ls -la > ls1.txt "}; // this works as you suggested
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command1);
    String command12[] = {"tcsh", "-c", "lynx -dump http://www.yahoo.com > webpage.txt"}; //working fine.
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command12);
    String command10[] = {"tcsh", "-c", "ngram-count -text keywords.txt -lm LM10 &"}; //doesn't work
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command10);
    String command[] = {"tcsh", "-c", "/u/drspeech/sun4/bin/ngram-count -text keywords.txt -lm LM0 &"}; // doesn't work
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);
    String command13[] = {"tcsh", "-c", "ngc -text keywords.txt -lm LM13"}; // doesn't work
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command13);
    String command8 = "ngram-count -text keywords.txt -lm LM8 &"; //doesn't work
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command8);
    String command9 = "/u/drspeech/sun4/bin/ngram-count -text keywords.txt -lm LM9 &"; //doesn't work
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command9);
    I tried "commandd1" and "command12". Those worked fine. No problemo. However, there's someting else I need to get done for my job; that is "command10". But it just didn't work. I thought maybe, it's because "ngram-count" is not part of the standard UNIX commands. So, I thought I might just add another alias for it in the ".cshrc" file and call it "ngc" instead. Then I tried to call the alias "ngc" instead. But it didn't work also. Then I thought, maybe, I should call it by referencing it from its original directory "/u/drspeech/sun4/bin/ngram-count". That didn't work either. I tried a couple of other combinations. None worked. I would really like to see how to solve this.

  • How  to genearte Unit Test reports  through  ANT/Command  line ?

    Hi,
    I am using sql developer unit test feature to test my database code. I am planning to execute and generate reports by running ant script.
    Is it possible to get the unit test results in any format (text,XML,HTML) after running the tests.
    How to integrate report generation tasks as part of Automated builds?
    Is there any command line utility do through can invoke through ant task?
    Thanks,
    Fernando

    Fernando,
    I, too, am looking to run our PL/SQL unit test suites through our automated ant build scripts. Currently, I've only been able to determine that there is a "UtUtil.bat" and "UtUtil.sh" command line utility for win and linux in /sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper/bin. However, it only take three switches:
    UtUtil -run ?
    UtUtil -imp ?
    and
    UtUtil -exp ?
    While this does provide some limited value to us through automating the importing of our exported test suites and then running them as part of our builds, it doesn't help in running reports on the test runs and exporting the reports to something our build processes can consume (i.e. xml).
    Also, we want to be able to run our full db build on (almost) any of our development machines and we don't want to have to have a unit test repository already preconfigured on each development db. I haven't found a utility to automate the creation of the unit test repository user and the repository, and then whena all the test suite runs have finished and the reports run, delete the repository and repository user.
    We have used Quest's Code Tester product in the past and it had all of these great features that I am really hoping Oracle can either implement or expose to us.
    Regards and best of luck,
    Mike Sanchez

  • Reports6i - RWRUN60 command line exit codes - Help

    Basically I'm running a process in C# that execute multiple reports through Process.Start() method, once completed I'm checking the Process.ExitCode to verify if it was a successful execution.
    In the arguments for the command line execution I'm passing the ERRFILE=ErrorFile.txt argument to have an error log,.
    Usually after a successful execution, by 'standard' (actually best practice I think), the exit code of an application is 0, but in some reports I'm having exit codes like 4, and no errors are logged in the ERRFILE.
    I've checked the Reference Manual already, but I can't find any reference to command line error/exit level/code.
    If somebody has the RWRUN60.exe process exit codes I'd appreciate it.

  • WebSphere ServerRepository.xml / Deployed WAR Works, LH Command Line Fails

    Anyone deploying to WebSphere that has gotten the LH Command Line tool to function with a ServerRepository.xml pointing to a DataSource within WebSphere?
    We created a ServerRepository.xml that utilizes the WebSphere DataSource as the Performance is significantly greater for the idm.war deployed to WAS. The idm.war file works & performs better using this.
    LH Command line fails with a ServerRepository.xml pointing to a WebSphere DataSource. I've been troubleshooting with SUN support & so far we have not made any progress to resolve this. LH fails trying to execute anything...see below for example & partial cut/pasted error message.
    **set WSHOME, JAVA_HOME, & WAS_HOME 1st

    Wrapped exception:
    Architecture:
    IDM 7.0
    WebSphere 6.x
    Oracle THIN Driver ojdbc14.jar - 10.2.0.x
    AIX 5.3 ML3

    To get the WAR deployed within WebSphere to function, I found the IDM Doc (IDM 7.0 Installation - "Configuring a WebSphere DataSource for Identity Manager" - Pgs 117 - 134) to be pretty decent for creating the actual JDBC DataSource.
    My recommendation is to setup the DataSource at the Scope=Cell Level & use a WAS J2C Auth Entry for the DataSource so you do not need to use the -U or -P options in your setRepo command...this also helps ensure its truly connecting using WAS.
    Looking at what you had, try this modified...
    $WSHOME/bin/lh -Djava.ext.dirs=$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/ext:$WAS_HOME/lib setRepo -n -tSQLServer -icom.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory -fjdbc/idm -uiiop://localhost:9810 -o"D:\apps\temp.xml"
    *Additional comments
    -n will bypass any checking and ignore any error message.
    -f must be identical to the WAS JDBC DataSource Name jdbc/idm
    **You do not need to redeploy after replacing the ServerRepository.xml; however, you do need to bounce the WAS AppServer & should monitor the AppServer SystemOut.log on startup to ensure the IDM WAR starts up successfully
    ***This is all assuming the DataSource you have within WAS is working (you can validate via the TestConnection)
