Commission in SD

Hello Forum Contributors,
Is it possible to set whether a customer/agent is a commission based or non commission based in SAP? Can it also be set at a fixed value commission per transaction and/or fixed value commission for every item they sell? Kindly advise. Thanks!

Hi Roland,
Through SAP you can set Customer and Material wise commision.
You need to define the Condition table for the commision V/04,
Put that table in the access sequence V/07
Define the discount or commision condition type V/06
Assign access sequence to the condition type in V/06
Put that condition type in your pricing procedure in V/08
Maintain condition recorc for that condition type in VK11
Go through this link it will also help you,

I hope it will help you,

  • Posting of Commission Exp to calculate the Cost of Goods Sold

    Hi Team,
I do work in an automobile manufacturing organization and is new to SAP FI module. I have a business requirement which I need to fulfill; I would appreciate if all you gurus help me with finding the solution.
Business Scenario:  at present, we are posting the following entries to record the commission we paid to dealers for selling vehicles.
    Commission Exp (DR)
         Customer (CR)
    Customer (DR)
         Dealer (CR)
With these entries we are not been able to track the commission based on vehicle variants i.e. Toyota GLI, XLI etc.
    New Requirement:
To calculate the Cost of Goods Sold for a variant, I need to track the commission expense based on vehicleu2019s variants. Please help me in finding the solution.
    Thanks

    Thanks for quick response.
Let me give little more details of type of commission entries we have
    1) Normal Commission - Fixed commission variant wise and is derived from SD.
    2) Additional Commission - No predefined formula, this is totally based on top management discretion. Management decides how much would be paid to a particular dealer.
    3) Sliding Commission deduction - Deduction of certain amount from commission on late payments.
    4) Additional Sliding Commission - Payment of additional commission based on early payment terms.
Currently, FI department is calculating all these figures on Excel sheets and then post a JV for each type of above mentioned commission.
How can I configure the system to calculate these amounts automatically without involving Excel Sheet help?
and how to post these amounts variant wise along with dealers and customers.

  • Agent Commission Payment via Rebate settlement or any other

    Hi Gurus,
In our scenario: My client business is 90% through Agents (i.e both Domestic and Exports).
Client wants to settle the commission 1. immediately after the invoice 2. monthly 3. quarterly.
Could you please throw light immediately to address this issue.
As per SDN -  I have configured FA as a partner function to the Customer. But the rebate agreement will be settled with customer. But how to settle that directly to the Agent.
Through VA05 list the sales orders per the FA and settle it manually or
Credit memo request to the amount (%) per each and every sales order.
    Please respond to this ...
    Thanks in Advance
    Cheers

    Hi Gurus,
Could anybody explore further with details.

    Generally YES.
It's possible to hold separate iTunes library's on a single machine.
Generate two new folders inside the Music folder of the Mini and name them differently; e.g. man and woman.
Copy your whole library into "man" and your wifes into "woman"
Go to sharing in the system settings of the Mini and share the Music folder in your network.
After copying the whole library's to the Mini you may point iTunes to the new location at startup by holding the option key (alt) at the keyboard.
iTunes will then ask you where the library is located.
Point it to the matching library on the Mini.
    That's all.
    Lupunus
PS ... If you both use only the Mini you have to setup a user account for each and just copy the whole library to the Music folder in particular.

  • Commission Group not picking in sales order

    Hi
We have created the Commission Group (ie. 6 ) in product master in R/3 and successfully downloaded in to CRM product master.  When we create the sales order in CRM the relevant commission is not being picked up in the order from the product master. When we check at the item level of the order under general tab by default the commission grp is taken as 1 instead of 6 which was maintained in the product master.
All the other date like Vol rebate grp , Product group and product hierarchy has picked up correctly from product master. Only Commission grp is not getting picked as maintained in product master.
    Plz help.

    Hi Dave,
As you suggested first execute PP order settle to sales order which I have done. After that I have done RA on Sales Order through KKA3. It has saved the record and value flows correctly. After that while I am going to VA88 for Sales Order settlement it is asking for setlment rule which I doubt. If the Sales order is sender what will be its receiver ? During PP order settle to sales order it was PP order in sender and receiver category was material and reciver was Sales document Numeber. What will be its reciver when Sales order is sender.
Kindly need your valuable suggestion ...

  • Problem in the commission value

    hi
can anybody help me on the below problem:
    1)
Commission Agreements in Invoices:To enable Commission Agreements (Condition Type ZCA1) values to be copied from Sales Orders into the associated Invoices and Commission Credit Note.Currently Invoices reselect valid Commission Agreements upon invoice creation, i.e. Values may have changed after Sales Order creation.
    2) Commissions Agreements in Sales Orders:To enable Commission Agreements (Condition Type ZCA1) values to be changed in Quotation, i.e. override Commission Agreement, by authorised users:Option 1: Bespoke transaction.Option 2: Release Strategy.Option 3: Amend manually – Manual approval and exception reporting.Note – If this cannot be restricted in SAP a robust manual process must be implemented
    3) Commission Credit Note Financial Posting to Sales Ledger1 - Sales invoice automatically creates a Commission Credit Note.2 - Value is posted to Suspense Account GL534900 (Automatic)3 - Value is then transferred to relevant Sales Ledger Commission account (Automatic)Step 3 often fails and may be related to dates / period end closing, there is also an issue with Customer credit notes which create commission debit notes
    4) Program Modification – Re-create the link between the original invoice and the commission credit noteThe creation of a Sales Invoice automatically creates a PartRebSettl.Request Order (ZB3).Bespoke table “ZVCOMMLINK” is updated cross referencing the:·     Billing Document.·     Sales Document.·     Accounting Document. This table is used by ABAP Query ZAQ_FI_0042.Action 1: Identify historically data to populate bespoke table.Action 2: Update bespoke table with historical data.
please help me on the above problem.i have checked in the copy control in which they are not maintaining the item category TAN in the sales document from sales document to invoice.but i dont know how then its coming in invoice if its not maintained in the copy control. Also in the automatic creation of credit memo i have to create a link between credit memo and the invoice generated

    Hi Mano,
I dont understand where you are giving the condition maximum value in VK11. Can you please tell me the exact place where you are giving that in VK11. Because as for my knowledge we will give that at some other place. Secondly you told that your condition is working fine with quantity but not with value. Can you explain me that in detail. Anyway just check the calculation type in condition record or in condition type controls.
Just answer the above, I will tell you the solution.

  • Sales process with commission agent

    hi guys,
I am having a problem and need your solution. Pls, help me, thanks for advance.
My customer's company have a sales process with commision agent. It mean they pay the commission fee when selling some goods. In this process:
    - They post a invoice to customer: (SD module)
    Dr: Receivable acc
    Cr: Revenue
    - They receive a incoming invoice from Agent: (MM module, they buy a agency services)
    Dr: sales expenditure
    Cr: Payable
You know, SAP is intergration system, so Incoming invoice should go along with Sales process. It mean SAP will automatically create a Purchasing order (to purchase agency service) when sales man input a Goods on SO (with specific Item Category).
It seem like to third-party process. But the problem is: when u input material A in SO, SAP will use "Transfer Requirement" to create a PO for material A (Third-party process). But in sales process with commission agent , how to SAP craeate a PO for service B (agency service) , when u input material A in SO ??? Can we do configuration for this???
Tell me if u have other approach, this key-factors are: Incoming invoice from Agency should go along with Sales process.
    Thank you!!!

Refer following SDN thread, by that you will be able to get overview on best practices about Third Party Sales & necessary configuration you need to follow for statistical GR:
    - Third party direct shipment (II)
Further maintain Billing Relevance for Item Category as G - Order-related billing of the delivery quantity.

  • Can Drop Ship Warehouse be Utilized for Commission Only Business?

Our company has a small percentage of business where we act as a broker only.  We process the customer orders, send the vendor POs and monitor the shipments, but we do not pay the vendor or collect the payment from the customer.  The customer pays the vendor and then our company collects a commission from the vendor.
The documentation in the help file for drop ship warehouse seems to imply that this scenario is possible:
    Drop Ship
Select this option to define the warehouse as a drop ship warehouse. Use when the company does not manage inventory, but receives commission for every order.
I have reviewed some webinars on Drop Ship warehouse.  The scenarios shown culminated in creating A/P and A/R invoices which is not what we want to do.  We are aiming for a Cashless transaction with commission being collected.
I have setup the drop ship items to have commission by item with the percentage in the Item Master.
Is this scenario possible in SAP B!?  We have ver. 8.82 PL 05.
    Thank you in advance.
    Julie

    Hi Julie
    try this:
    - one drop ship warehouse.
    - items with commisions, all with warehouse by default.
    - for these items you can create two prices lists, one with the sales prices and another with sales prices plus your commision.
    - create a sales order; when your customer receives it you have to close.
    - create a query to show you all closed sales orders between two dates, and the lines with two prices and the difference.
    - now you know your commisions.
    Kind regards.

  • Commission Query not picking up payment on Account linked later

    Hi Experts,
I created a query for a Client who need to pay Sales Commission to Sales Employees. This report must show only the Invoices that was Paid.
The Query works fine, exept that it will not pick up the following Payments: When they makie a Incoming Payment on Account and then later link it to an Invoice via the Internal Reconciliation screen.
    SELECT T0.[DocNum] AS 'Incoming Payment', T0.[DocDate] AS ' Incoming Payment Date', T0.[CardCode], T0.[CardName],  T3.[SlpName], T3.[Commission], T1.[DocNum] AS 'Invoice Number', T2.[OpenSum] AS 'Invoice Line Amounts', T2.[OpenSum] * T3.[Commission] / 100 AS 'Commission Amount'
    FROM ORCT T0  INNER JOIN OINV T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.ReceiptNum INNER JOIN INV1 T2 ON T1.DocEntry = T2.DocEntry INNER JOIN OSLP T3 ON T1.SlpCode = T3.SlpCode
    WHERE T0.[DocDate] >=[%0] AND  T0.[DocDate] <=[%1]
How can I get these Invoices that was linked to a Payment to also show in this query?
    Thanks,
    Marli

I know that this is an old post, but in case someone else wants to use this code I wanted to point out that this code assumes that only invoices are included in payments.  If other types such as deposits or credits are included in the payment, then you will get the wrong results.
Need to change the link to OINV slightly to check the document type for Invoices
    JOIN
    OINV T1 ON T1.DocEntry = T4.DocEntry AND T4.InvType = 13 -- AR Invoice Hdr
Then need to do this same for the other possible document types.

    hi,
    sap gurus,
    here is the scenario:
my sold to party is different
    and
ship to, bill to and pyr is different.
    but
the order will be on sold to - ie on third party.

  • Commission Agent Mapping

    HI All,
Following is my requirement of commission agent scenario. Can somebody share their ideas in doing so.
    1) commission agent to be treated as vendor and assigned at sales order level.
    2) Commission liability to be generated at invoice level
    3) commission payment approval (service bill passing )
    4) commission payable debit to vendor credit.
    5) service tax and TDS appllicable on commission.
    Regards,
    Udai

Hope you have set the condition type for commission as Accrual and assigned the Accrual Key in pricing procedure.  If not, change the configuration accordingly as the commission amounts should not be posted to FI immediately.
Fetching Service Tax and TDS, your pricing procedure should have separate condition types for these two which should be placed below your commission condition type and the From-To step numbers be assigned as that of step number for commission.  Coming to approval process, explore the Workflow functionality.

  • Sales Agent Commission

    Dear Experts,
    Good Day.
I need your opinion/solution about a requirement from my client.
    The client is using the invoice list to calculate the sales commission that will be paid to the sales agent/broker. This sales agent is configured customer in SD.;
A sales commission condition type is created in the master and updated in the Sales Order where the condition unit currency is foreign currency (USD)and condition currency is local currency (MYR). During sales document pricing, the final condition amount will be converted from the local currency to the document header currency based on the exchange rate and the same goes during billing posting.
Invoice list is created with reference to the billing document to post the sales commission individually once the original billing is cleared. The issue is that the vendor (sales agent) is invoicing my client in local currency and the posting are based on the foreign currency in the system. Finance department is really having a hard time to reconcile the postings and payment.
Please, can you expert throw some light to solve this issue.
    Many thanks,
    Sutha Subramaniam.

    Hi
The payment is generally against each sale transaction and the client process is adhoc.
Some times they pay after order and some times after delivery .
They even settle the commission once in a quarter also.
    Could u explain me further
    Thanks

  • Commission Agent  Settings

    Hi,
As for my Business i need to configure the Commission Agent (Broker) its a textile Industry. In this there is not standard for each customer can have more 2 and also maximum percentage is 2% (Total Percentage) this percentage will be divided into based on the situation for example one sales order contains 4 brokers here 2 % divided into 1%,03%,02%,0.5% there is no fixed percentage but total % is fixed ie 2%
If My  Broker has a vendor i assigned Partner Function Vedor to Customer Partner Functions
    1.I created Condition Type V/06 (ZCOM )
    2. XK01, I Created those brokers as vendors.
    3. In V/07, i maintained  access sequence with the combination of Customer / Vendor
    4. In V/08, assign those condition types after tax condition type.
    5. In VK11, i maintained the required percentage.
Coming to the Payment how Company will settlement the payment because every 3 months they will pay the commission amount to the broker
AND also we have to think about the one point " Some times Customer return the goods that time the commission amount will be reduced bcoz customer has returned the goods"
How we r going to adjuct the Commission amount in the System and also how to settle
    can any one guide me

    Hi Prasanna,
Following is the steps you need to follow for your issue. I have not tried it on the system but you can try it.
    Step1:
Create customer in XD01. Say the customer code is 100000
    Step2:
Create Vendors in XK01. Say Vendor codes are 1, 2 and 3 (these will be used as your brokers)
    Step3:
Assign Vendor 1 to customer 100000
    Step4:
Create a Condition Table in V/03. Say condition table 999. Before creating the condition table make sure that Vendor is there is the field catalogue. If Vendor is missing then you need to first add Vendor in the field catalogue.
The condition table should be created as a combination of Customer (Key field) and Vendor (footer field).
    Step5:
Add the condition table 999 in your access sequence, say ZACO.
    Step6:
Now create 3 condition types ZCOM1, ZCOM2 and ZCOM3. Make sure that these condition types have Conditoin class A and Calculation type as A.
    Step7:
Assign the access sequence ZACO to the condition types ZCOM1, ZCOM2 and ZCOM3.
    Step8:
Now assign these 3 condition types to your pricing procedure (check if you need to assign them after taxes or before taxes)
    Step9:
Now using T.Code VK11, create a condition record for ZCOM1. The record would read as Customer 100000 and Vendor 1, 1%.
Next, for condition type ZCOM2, maintain a conditio record as customer 100000 and Vendor 2, 0.5%
Next, for condition type ZCOM3, maintain a condition record as customer 100000 and Vendor as 0.5%
    Step10:
Now create a sales order of say order type ZOR, for customer 100000, then vendor 1 will be automatically determined. But the other vendors will not be determined. You have to manually assign them. There is no other option as far as i know.
This way all your 3 condition types ZCOM1, ZCOM2 and ZCOM3 will be determined in sales order since the customer is 100000 and Vendors 1,2 and 3 are maintained in the sales order.
If you assign only vendors 1 and 3 the only condition types ZCOM1 and ZCOM3 will be determined.
Please test this scenario and let me know if this works so that I can explain how to do the settlement. You need to do a very small and simple enhancement for settlement. But I would like you to first try this out and update the form if this is working fine.

    Rohan Gudavalli
