Commit in a loop of records for the cursor

Hello
my procedure has the following structure
procedure proc2
BEGIN
begin
insert into table A
exception when others
log the error
return
end
begin
insert into table B
exception when others
log the error
return
end
END--end of proc2
--main procedure
open cursor
loop
fetch cursor
proc2
end loop;
commit;
end;-- end of main
my question is do i need to commit inside the loop , also since i have exception handling for all the inserts, if any one of the inserts fails then it should log the error, and go to the next record.., or will it roll back all the previous insert operations since the commit is outside the loop in other words if the there are 10 records in the cursor, and the insert fails at 9th record will oracle roll back all the previous insert operations???

    You can COLLECT statement only if all non key fields are numeric.
    This statement Adds all such fields and give us a single record.

    Hi,
    You can use the function module - BCONTACT_CREATE to create Contact record
    (or)
    make a BDC of the Tcode - BCT1(Contact creation) and use the same for creation of contacts in batch
    Note: Contact is created against Business Partner and not Contract Account. So you will have to include your logic of finding out the respective Business Partner for the Contract Account for which you need to create Contact record.

  • Recording for the web P2

    I do not believe there is a way but it would be nice if there was an option to record for the web on a P2 card. I am recording tech meetings (HVX200) and uploading them to the web, taking out the extra step of compressing it sounds like magic.......is this possible??

    All you have to do is check the settings on the camera for the different formats it shoots... that's with any camera, but I can tell you with pretty good certainty HVX200 doesn't shoot to any compressed web-friendly formats.

    I am able to display it in range of the dates, but i want to display name of the month at the top of page.
    e.g.
    i am giving range like

    then, it shoud display April, 2008.

    and then using TOP-OF-Page event print the month.

    No need to create any formula.  In your record selection criteria type:
    {table.date} in dateadd("h",-24,currentdatetime) to currentdatetime
    If you just want the prior 24hrs and do not care about the time then replace 'currentdatetime' with 'currentdate'.
    (currentdatetime - 24) will give you 24 days before and not 24 hours.

  • Making system to use the latest Infotype Record for the Current Period

    Hello,
    I would like to know how the system behave if there is a record modified in the middle of the Pay Period, which record would the PY schema use? Ex: in IT0009 EE has selected multiple Bank Transfer. He say 100$ Bank 1 and Rest to Bank 2. In the middle if the Pay period, the EE comes and makes changes to his Bank Transfer, as he closed the account in Bank1, he creates new Bank and transfers 100$. Now when the PY run, it think both Banks (Bank1 prev and Bank 1 current ) are valid and tries to send 100$ to each back and sends rest to Bank2. Which is not correct. This issue happens when someone changes their record in the middle of the period. So It is assumed to change the process to not to change in the middle of the period. It has to be effecting of 1st of next period.
    But I want to check is there anyway we can make the system to use the latest one if it finds multiple record for the same period?
    any suggestion please.

    This system actually delimits the previous record but since the change is happened in the middle of the period, but record are considered as active.
    For Ex: The Pay Period is 01/01/2009 to 01/15/2009 and There was a record for Bank1 for that period and user comes and creates a new record on 01/05/2009 for Bank1. Now for this payperiod since its with the period both records are becoming active. So system uses both the records and deducts. Hope you get what I'm saying.

    As said earlier, you want to setup Time Constraints for It2006 which is  in table: V_T582A
    You should set the Time Constraint to 2.
    HR master data uses the following three time constraints:
    Time Constraint 1
    For the entire time that the employee works at the enterprise, exactly one valid infotype record must exist. The validity periods of the individual records must not overlap. If a new record is created, the system automatically uses the start date of the new record as the delimitation date of the old record. Gaps are only allowed between the employeeu2019s entry date and the start date of the first record.
    Time constraint 1 must be used for all of the infotypes containing information that must be available at all times. This is particularly true of personal and organizational assignment data.
    If a record is delimited because of time constraint 1, the system displays an appropriate message.
    Time Constraint 2
    No more than one valid record can exist at any one time. Records with constraint 2 must not overlap. Their existence is not obligatory. If a new record is created, the system automatically delimits the previous record, if one exists.
    If a record is delimited because of time constraint 2, the system displays an appropriate message.
    Time Constraint 3
    Any number of valid records can exist at any one time. The individual records do not conflict with each other.

  • Missing delta records for the Z extractor

    Hi,
    I have created a Z extractor for the table BUT050 in CRM. I have created a function module and have included the delta logic on CRDAT which is the created date, CRTIM - created time, CHDAT - change date, CHTIM - Change time. I have initialed the delta and started doing the delta loads. I found that there are few missing records in the extractor when compared to the table. I'm attaching my code below.Can anyone please look into it and tell me what the issue is.

  • Multiple info records for the same material record in the catalog

    Hi Guys,
    I have got sort of a puzzle I can not solve at the moment, maybe some one can help me to solve it. The situation in our system landscape  is as follows:
    Systems:
    SRM 5.0 (Classic implementation scenario)
    ECC 6.0
    SRM-MDM 2.0
    PI 2005
    Material master is maintained in R/3 and the materials are replicated to SRM. From SRM we replicate all materials to the catalog repository in  SRM-MDM.
    As the material master in R/3 is vendor independent, the materials replicated to SRM also have no vendor attached. For the first initial material replication from SRM to the catalog SRM-MDM this also means that the products in the main table of the repository, u2018catalog positionsu2019, will not have a vendor or vendor number attached (i.e. no reference to a source of supply).
    To assign a source of supply in the repository to a product (record) we will use info records which are replicated from R/3 to SRM-MDM.  The mapping for this in the Import Manager can only be based on the product number. As this is the only unique value available which can map a info record to a already existing (but vendor less) ptoduct item in the catalog.
    As long as every item in the repository has only one unique info record, meaning one source of supply with a specific price, there is no issue in the above scenario. Based on the product-id, the info record data will be matched with the material item in the catalog.
    The issue for me arises when multiple info records exists for the same material. The info records can heave different vendors and different prices. All possible vendors should be available in the catalog for the same material (at least this is the requirement ). 
    At this point the product-id will no longer be an unique value. Importing the info records will cause problems, as only one material record is available in the repository for the specific product-id (remember that when doing a initial replication of the material master to the catalog, no vendor data is replicated).
    Does anyone had this issue before, and knows a solution? Is it for example possible during the import of the info records in the Import manager, to duplicate material records in the destination data, based on the number of info records available in the source data for the same product-id. Or is there an other solution that I am missing?

    My requirement is that I have got a PO output type NEU.Now when i release the PO 2 mesages  should get outputed.
    1) A print should go to the Printer ie:Option1 Print output
    2) A PDF should go to the vendor ie:Option 5 External send
    I have completed the config part but I am having a problem while maintaing the condition record for simultaneous output of message 1 & 5.
    In MN04 i tried to maintain 1 & 5 but it doesn't allow me to do so?Why

    So i tried the same in "When new Block instance".Getting 50% of my Desired Results.

    Here is our problem we have history data on a table like
    Example

    11111   nnn       12/31/2005
    11111   ddd       12/31/2007
    On a report we only need to display the most current record (based on a date).
    11111   ddd       12/31/2007
    How can we do that, we have try to create subquery but it does not allowed to enter logic for the max date for the same id.  So we are kind of stuck, I am more then sure this would be a very common conditions specially for data warehousing.
    we are on Oracle 10g

    To create a view is not a problem, supporting it is a different story
    But we have find a solution, you were correct about the filter.  I just did not know you can put the whole subselect in a  filter
    but here is a logic for the filter if someone would come up with the same problem
    tablename.NNNN_PROOF_DT = (SELECT MAX(X.NNNN_PROOF_DT) FROM tablename X  WHERE tablename.NNNN_CLAIM_NUMBER = X.NNNN_CLAIM_NUMBER AND   tablename.NNNN_LINE_CD = X.NNNN_LINE_CD)

    Scenario 1:
    Go to VK11 tcode and Enter your KAD1 COndition Type.
    Now maintain the Condition Record for your Customer.
    Scenario 2:
    Go to VK11 tcode and Enter your KP00 COndition Type.
    Now maintain the Condition Record for your Customer.
    Note for Scnario 2: Please make sure for KP00, the field Plus/minus in Condition Type setting should be "A"  i.e the Surcharge. It is because the same condition Type can be used for Discount as well as for Surcharge.
    The condition Type setting for KP00 can be done by going to V/06 tcode
