Common issues with BW environment

Hello Experts,
could you please mention all teh common issues faced in BW environment with the solution available.
I have many issues and I wante dto know whether all teh teams face the same.
This would a good oppurtunity to have everything in one thread.
Thanks and regards
meps

Hi,
We will have somany issues plz check some of them
1. DTP Failure
Select the step-> right click and select “Display Message”-> there we will get the message which gives the reason for ABEND.
A DTP can failure due to following reasons, in such case we can go for restarting the job.
System Exception Error
Request Locked
ABAP Run time error.
Duplicate records
Erroneous Records from PSA.
Duplicate records:            In case of duplication in the records, we can find it in the error message along with the Info Provider’s name. Before restarting the job after deleting the bad DTP request, we have to handle the duplicate records. Go to the info provider -> DTP step -> Update tab -> check handle duplicate records -> activate -> Execute DTP. After successful competition of the job uncheck the Handle Duplicate records option and activate. DTP Log Run:
If a DTP is taking log time than the regular run time without having the back ground job, then we have to turn the status of the DTP into Red and then delete the DTP bad request (If any), repeat the step or restart the job.
Before restarting the Job/ repeating the DTP step, make sure about the reason for failure.
If the failure is due to “Space Issue” in the F fact table, engage the DBA team and also BASIS team and explain them the issue. Table size needs to be increased before performing any action in BW. It’ll be done by DBA Team. After increasing the space in the F fact table we can restart the job.
Erroneous Records from PSA:      When ever a DTP fails because of erroneous records while fetching the data from PSA to Data Target, in such cases data needs to be changed in the ECC. If it is not possible, then after getting the approval from the business, we can edit the Erroneous records in PSA and then we have to run the DTP. Go to PSA -> select request -> select error records -> edit the records and save. Then run the DTP. 2.      INFO PACKAGE FAILURE: The following are the reasons for Info Pack failure.
Source System Connection failure
tRFC/IDOC failure
Communication Issues
Processing the IDOC Manually in BI
Check the source system connection with the help of SAP BASIS, if it is not fine ask them to rebuild the connection. After that restart the job (Info Pack).
Go to RSA1 -> select source system -> System -> Connection check.
In case of any failed tRFC’s/IDOC’s, the error message will be like “Error in writing the partition number DP2” or “Caller 01, 02 errors”. In such case reprocess the tRFC/IDOC with the help of SAP BASIS, and then job will finish successfully.
If the data is loading from the source system to DSO directly, then delete the bad request in the PSA table, then restart the job
Info Pack Long Run: If an info pack is running long, then check whether the job is finished at source system or not. If it is finished, then check whether any tRFC/IDOC struck/Failed with the help of SAP BASIS. Even after reprocessing the tRFC, if the job is in yellow status then turn the status into “Red”. Now restart / repeat the step. After completion of the job force complete.
Before turning the status to Red/Green, make sure whether the load is of Full/Delta and also the time stamp is properly verified.
Time Stamp Verification:
Select Info Package-> Process Monitor -> Header -> Select Request -> Go to source System (Header->Source System) -> Sm37-> give the request and check the status of the request in the source system -> If it is in active, then we have to check whether there any struck/failed tRFC’s/IDOC’s If the request is in Cancelled status in Source system -> Check the Info Pack status in BW system -> If IP status is also in failed state/cancelled state -> Check the data load type (FULL or DELTA) -> if the status is full then we can turn the Info Package status red and then we can repeat/restart the Info package/job. -> If the load is of Delta type then we have to go RSA7 in source system-> (Compare the last updated time in Source System SM37 back ground job)) Check the time stamp -> If the time stamp in RSA7 is matching then turn the Info Package status to Red -> Restart the job. It’ll fetch the data in the next iterationIf the time stamp is not updated in RSA7 -> Turn the status into Green -> Restart the job. It’ll fetch the data in the next iteration.
Source System
BW System
Source System RSA7
Source System SM37

I/P Status RED(Cancelled)
I/P Status (Cancelled)
Time stamp matching with SM37 last updated time
Time stamp matching with RSA7 time stamp
Turn the I/P Status into Red and Restart the Job
I/P Status RED(Cancelled)
I/P Status (Active)
Time stamp is not  matching with SM37 last updated time
Time stamp is not matching with RSA7 time stamp
Turn the I/P status into Green and Restart the job
I/P Status RED(Cancelled)
I/P Status (Cancelled)
Time stamp is not  matching with SM37 last updated time
Time stamp is not matching with RSA7 time stamp
Turn the I/P status into Green and Restart the job
Processing the IDOC Manually in BI:
When there is an IDOC which is stuck in the BW and successfully completed the background job in the source system, in such cases we can process the IDOC manually in the BW. Go to Info Package -> Process Monitor -> Details -> select the IDOC which is in yellow status(stuck) -> Right click -> Process the IDOC manually -> it’ll take some time to get processed.******Make sure that we can process the IDOC in BW only when the back ground job is completed in the source system and stuck in the BW only.   3.      DSO Activation Failure: When there is a failure in DSO activation step, check whether the data is loading to DSO from PSA or from the source system directly. If the data is loading to DSO from PSA, then activate the DSO manually as follows
Right click DSO Activation Step -> Target Administration -> Select the latest request in DSO -> select Activate -> after request turned to green status, Restart the job.
If the data is loading directly from the source system to DSO, then delete the bad request in the PSA table, then restart the job
4.      Failure in Drop Index/ Compression step: When there is a failure in Drop Index/ compression step, check the Error Message. If it is failed due to “Lock Issue”, it means job failed because of the parallel process or action which we have performed on that particular cube or object. Before restarting the job, make sure whether the object is unlocked or not. There is a chance of failure in Index step in case of TREX server issues. In such cases engage BASIS team and get the info reg TREX server and repeat/ Restart the job once the server is fixed. Compression Job may fail when there is any other job which is trying to load the data or accessing from the Cube. In such case job fails with the error message as “Locked by ......” Before restarting the job, make sure whether the object is unlocked or not.   5. Roll Up failure: “Roll Up” fails due to Contention Issue. When there is Master Data load is in progress, there is a chance of Roll up failure due to resource contention. In such case before restarting the job/ step, make sure whether the master data load is completed or not. Once the master data load finishes restart the job.   6. Change Run – Job finishes with error RSM 756       When there is a failure in the attribute change run due to Contention, we have to wait for the other job (Attribute change run) completion. Only one ACR can run in BW at a time. Once the other ACR job is completed, then we can restart/repeat the job. We can also run the ACR manually in case of nay failures. Go to RSA1-> Tool -> Apply Hierarchy/Change Run -> select the appropriate Request in the list for which we have to run ACR -> Execute. 7. Transformation In-active: In case of any changes in the production/moved to the production without saving properly or any modification done in the transformation without changing, in such cases there is a possibility of Load failure with the error message as “ Failure due to Transformation In active”. In such cases, we will have to activate the Transformation which is inactive. Go to RSA1 -> select the transformation -> Activate In case of no authorization for activating the transformation in production system, we can do it by using the Function Module - RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE Try the following steps to use the program "RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE” here you will need to enter certain details:Transformation ID: Transformation’s Tech Name (ID)Object Status: ACTType of Source: “Source Name”Source name: “Source Tech Name”Type of Target: Target NameTarget name: “Target Tech Name”
Execute. The Transformation status will be turned into Active.
Then we can restart the job. Job will be completed successfully.
     8. Process Chain Started from the yesterday’s failed step:
In few instances, process chain starts from the step which was failed in the previous iteration instead of starting from the “Start” step.
In such cases we will have to delete the previous day’s process chain log, to start the chain form the beginning (from Start variant).
Go To ST13-> Select the Process Chain -> Log -> Delete.
Or we can use Function Module for Process Chain Log Deletion: RSPROCESS_LOG_DELETE.
Give the log id of the process chain, which we can get from the ST13 screen.
Then we can restart the chain.
Turning the Process Chain Status using Function Module:
At times, when there is no progress in any of the process chains which is running for a long time without any progress, we will have to turn the status of the entire chain/Particular step by using the Function Module.
Function Module: RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH
The program "RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH" for making the status of a particular process as finished.
To turn any DTP load which was running long, so please try the following steps to use the program "RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH" here you need to enter the following details:
LOG ID: this id will be the id of the parent chain.
CHAIN: here you will need to enter the chain name which has failed process.
TYPE: Type of failed step can be found out by checking the table "RSPCPROCESSLOG" via "SE16" or "ZSE16" by entering the Variant & Instance of the failed step. The table "RSPCPROCESSLOG" can be used to find out various details regarding a particular process.
INSTANCE & VARIANT: Instance & Variant name can be found out by right clicking on the failed step and then by checking the "Displaying Messages Options" of the failed step & then checking the chain tab.
STATE: State is used to identify the overall state of the process. Below given are the various states for a step.
R Ended with errors
G Successfully completed
F Completed
A Active
X Canceled
P Planned
S Skipped at restart
Q Released
Y Ready
Undefined
J Framework Error upon Completion (e.g. follow-on job missing)
9. Hierarchy save Failure:
When there a failure in Hierarchy Save, then we have to follow the below process...
If there is an issue with Hierarchy save, we will have to schedule the Info packages associated with the Hierarchies manually. Then we have to run Attribute Change Run to update the changes to the associated Targets. Please find the below mentioned the step by step process...
ST13-> Select Failed Process Chain -> Select Hierarchy Save Step -> Rt click Display Variant -> Select the info package in the hierarchy -> Go to RSA! -> Run the Info Package Manually -> Tools -> Run Hierarchy/Attribute Change Run -> Select Hierarchy List (Here you can find the List of Hierarchies) -> Execute.

  • "Access not allowed for subject: principals=[]" Common Issue with no Repose

    Hi all,
When upgrading from 8.1 to 8.1 SP4 (we have seen the issue as early as SP2), there is an exception thrown when trying to start the server where our application is deployed:
<pre>weblogic.management.NoAccessRuntimeException: Access not allowed for subject: principals=[], on ResourceType: Application Action: write, Target: Deployed
    </pre>
Our application creates an InitialContext using properties from a standard properties file, and when the "java.naming.security.principal" and "java.naming.security.credentials" properties are omitted, the server will start and deploy the application, but it naturally will not work.
I have noticed that this issue has been brought up by several others:
    http://forums.bea.com/bea/search.jspa?q=%22Access+not+allowed+for+subject%3A+principals%3D%5B%5D%22&objID=&dateRange=all&userID=&numResults=15

But have seen nothing resembling even a hint of a cause.
Any suggestions that even get me going in the right direction would be appreciated.

For others who have received this error, I'll post what I think has turned out to be the cause.
    Refer to
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/jndi/jndi.html#471919
    Which says:
    =====
When you create a JNDI Context with a username and password, you associate a user with a thread. When the Context is created, the user is pushed onto the context stack associated with the thread. Before starting a new Context on the thread, you must close the first Context so that the first user is no longer associated with the thread. Otherwise, users are pushed down in the stack each time a new context created. This is not an efficient use of resources and may result in the incorrect user being returned by ctx.lookup() calls.
    =====
Our application caches the Context created, and that Context is used by other objects to perform lookups. Prior to Sp2, this caused no issues when including the username and password as part of the properties passed to the InitialContext constructor.
I presume that closing the Context after it has been used would be the proper fix for this, but right now this Context is used in too many places once it is created. I was able to combat the issue by removing the username and password properties (java.naming.security.principal & java.naming.security.credentials) from the properties file. It seems to work as expected.

  • Issues with logging in to CC and missing features

My team is using CC on corporate environment PCs, Win 7 64bit. Some of the problems we have seen are:
When we buy a new adobe license for a new user our IT department has to install the Creative Cloud desktop manager and software on their PC. They do this by using an admin windows account and the new adobe login. Everything works fine for them, they are able to log in to CC and install the software, When the user logs in with their windows account and try to log in to CC with the same adobe id then they get the common issue with the sync button just turning and never logs them in. In some cases this is fixed by deleting the OOBE folder from the admin local profile allowing the other user to log in to CC but most times the IT has to resolve to rebuilding the PC and starting again.
We also hotdesk in my team.I found that when i work on my laptop or another desktop pc in the team everything is fine but if i have to use a different PC for the day i log in but don't have all the features (I can get the home feed, fonts, etc, but not the app installers)
Another member of my team works fine on that same PC but on a different PC she doesn't have all features. She gets the app installers, but not some of the other features.
It all seems to be a bit random as to who can access what.
Our corporate firewall is open to most Adobe servers, unless there is something we have missed. PCs have Adobe Air 3.1.0.4880.
These issues have been happening for months now and IT have spend hours to resolve.
Anyone else has issues using Creative Cloud in a corporate environment and are there any suggestions we can use please?

There isn't any capability for the OpenBootProm prompt
(the OK prompt you might see on your screen)
to ask you for a username or a password.
The OBP is a firmware level of the SPARC platform, not an OS nor a mini-OS.
If you have consoled in through the SF280R's RSC card, it might have its own password prompt, but the OBP itself can't do that. Additionally, the RSC doesn't show you the OK prompt either (certainly not to the extent that the more sophisticated LOM, ALOM, ILOM or System Controllers of other system designs might have.).
You made mention that you eventually see a cursor that is sitting at a prompt that shows:
Happy@solaris11 $If that is what you see, then I think you're already logged into the OS. That would seem to be a C-shell prompt, with you logged into a fully booted system named "solaris11" as username "Happy".
Consequently, I'll be asking that your post be moved out of the Servers'General hardware forum, and into the General Solaris 11 forum. You don't seem to have a hardware issue, but perhaps just an issue with being unfamiliar with Solaris. (You didn't describe your experience level in the initial post.)

  • ISE Issue with DNS

    Hello Techies,
    I am facing challenge while configuring ISE to join AD. Domain Name lookup fails. DNS is working perfectly fine;
    nslookup works fine on ISE for simple domain names, but on long domain  names it fails while throwing the following error;
;; Truncated, retrying in TCP mode.
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached
    Upon searching on google, may threads discuss that it a common issue with linux, when multiple IP's are returned for DNS query. Solution is to make static entries in;
    /etc/resolv.conf
Not able to find it in ISE, as it does not give access to the OS. I am running it on VMware.
Looking forward to get your valuable inputs to resolve this.
    Thanks

Thanks for your response. Port 53(TCP) was opened on firewall & voila........nslookup was able to resolve the hostname.
Now there is another challenge because of huge environment. Active Directory forest contains  more than 50+ child domain controllers. Policy is open for one particular hostname/ip. But authentication is not successful & ISE is not able to join domain. CISCO forums says that ports for all server should be open for ISE on the intermediate firewall, but it is a huge challenge for testing.
While I tried to give the FQDN of specific server(from whom ports are open on firewall), it is not getting resolved again.
    Please sugeest

  • AnyConnect SSL Client issue with Mac OS X

Hello this seems to be a very common issue with AnyConnect working on Mac OS X. A lot of random sites talk about this.
I have a Cisco 2801 running IOS 12.4(22)T (ADV ENT SRV) with AnyConnect 2.3 package installed.
From Windows I can connect without any issues.
From a Mac OS X after providing login credentials the AnyConnect log says its connecting... checking for updates... and then disconnects.
If this does work on Mac OS X what is needed (or needs to be configured) to get this to work properly on Mac OS X?
    Thank you!

    Hello All,
I recently experienced the same problem when my company upgraded to our entire company from the stone age to a VPN system using the Cisco AnyConnect. At first, I had the same problem as described above. Then my IT guy and I got on the phone with Cisco.
Here is the solution that worked for me. First, our IT department had to specifically load a MAC connection file into the VPN firewall to allow access for MacIntosh computers. Then I redownloaded the latest anyconnect files and updated whatever else through the vpn.yourcompany.com site. Finally, from www.citrix.com/download I downloaded (on the RH side under featured downloads) the appropriate Citrix ICA File.
Everything works fine now. I don't know if this will work for you, but it did the trick for us.

  • Some Niggling Issues with X6-00 16GB

Issues with the current software. Most still there after the latest software update to v31.0.004 1. Music player volume control refuses to function sometimes from the remote volume adjustment provided in the headset. >Volume adjustment when other applications are running doesnt work. > Replugging the headset resolves the problem. 2. Opening the all songs list and scrolling down in say 2 seconds of the opening of list doesn't hold your position. List scrolls up to the begining, seems like the page refreshes till the whole list is uploaded. why was this phone provided with 16 gb of storage if it can't handle a long list of songs? 3. Song play count doesn't increase or is not shown in ovi music player. 4. Deleting a song from an album currently being listened to stops music playback. 5. Songs can't be rated. 6. Automatic playlists should have one option for top rated songs also. 7. Music store downloaded songs have unnecessary extras in the song title. something like (explicit version) present in the album title repeating itself in the tracks of that album. 8. Song details have poor genre based categorization. Some hindi songs were classified into Blues. 9. Headset remote control stops working sometimes when music is being played in the background and I try to change the song. 10. Headset chord is flimsy and has to be handled with great care especially the ends where connector is attached. 11. Alphanumeric keypad keys change color sometimes and this becomes normal once thw key is pressed again. 12. Auto screen rotation is jerky and sometimes gets stuck somewhere in the middle of both orientations so that a little bit of both orientations is visible on the screen. 13. Nokia messaging using gmail does not support threaded conversations. 14. Threaded messages much awaited in messaging applicationwhich makes it easier to follow conversations. 15. Swype working fine. Better than the previous version. 16. Check key in message editing mode placed on top left is a bit cumbersome to rwach using the phone with one hand for right handed people. Much prefer the position provided in the n8 bottom right side of the screen. 17. Applications hang a lot especially when nokia messaging is running in background. Exiting applications are still shown as running in background for long time. 18. Camera appreciated. 19. Would like to have an option that remembers the customised camera settings so that the user doesnt have to enter his most sed settings again and again. Even if tthe settings last used are stored for the next time camera is used would do. 20. Typing long messages in qwerty layout with music and nokia messaging running in background toggles between two screen orientations occasionaly. 21. Cursor becomes yellow in message review mode. 22. Never been able to use gps accurately or even at all without the integrated gps mode selected. Does it even work? 23. Pdf reader application should be available for free. 24. Messages application becomes slow in opening newly recieved messages as soon as the inbox crosses 300 odd messages. 25. Album art displayed partially on the music deck on the home screen occasionally. 26. Software update over the air has never worked leaving ke to download the whole software through the software updater. Is it like only some updates are available OTA? 27. Uploaded the latest software update and the menu kind of fades out while navigating which is the only thing noticable. Did the update OTA. So won't say it doesn't work. The current version is 31.0.4 28. If a new message is received during the startup of the phone the new message popup keeps reappearing and the screen keeps switching on and off until the end call (red) button is pressed once. This also happens if the new message popup is ignored and the phone is re-started. 29. Battery has started to wear out, it shows full bars after putting it for charging from 2 bars just after 2 minutes of charging. I have to rely on the battery monitor application to know the actual amount of battery left. i bought the phone in August 2010. 30. Just loaded the new maps v3.06 which does not work at all. i mean it does show you search results but as soon as you ask it to navigate you to some place it shows a pop up "memory full, close some applications and try again later". It would have been fine if it stopped here but the phone switches off and restarts on its own which is rather frustrating and renders this application which was working fine, useless.

My complaint to Nokia which I send today as Nokia asked further clarification
    Now waiting for their reply
I bought a new X6 16GB phone one weak before. Now the issue is scratchy sounds while playing music and ring tones via my phone's speakers and this is a factory defect piece. Now the real issue is I contacted Nokia care center(Thrissur, Kerala) 2 days before by phone and told the issue. The reply from them was really sad one.
    (1) this is common issue with X6.
    (2) it is a manufacturing defect with phone.
    (3) IT can be solved by replacing speakers.
    (4) In many cases it is not able to solve that simple in that case they will send phone to Delhi for replacing speakers as well as some sticker ( may be sound card).
And the most important issue is I got lot of reviews from others customers that once the phone is send to Delhi there is high chance of getting scratches on phone and overall shinning of phone will also be affected and I asked this concern to them and they replied that its a truth and they cannot assure those things and its very sad.
Please help me to solve this issue with out damaging my phone any more. And more over I cant afford to wait 14 days without phone because I desperately need it as part of my job and cant buy another phone for using 14 days. Please make some arrangements to repair it in my local town Thrissur because as your service centers have recognized that its a common issue.
    Thanks and regards

  • Keyboard issue with cursor jumping to point on the page when typing

When I type on my notebook keyboard (HP Pavilion dv6-6167cl) it frequently jumps somewhere else in the area where I previously typed causing me to stop and correct what it did and move back to where I intended to type.  I have the latest driver for my Synaptics Touchpad driver already.  Any idea why this happens.  This is my second laptop, different manufacturers where I've had this same problem so I'm beginning to think it's a common issue with notebooks.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

    tdunnusa,
It may be inherent to the way in which you use the devices (keyboard and Touch/ClickPad).  Maybe not ... the drivers are not perfect.  We can all attest to adventures with Clickpad mystery entries..
Depending on the level of touch sensitivity (located under Pointing)
AND the level in the PalmCheck-Enhanced ACM setting, things can get a bit weird;  even touching the surface lightly can set the mouse cursor off course.
    Consider / try the following:
In your Synaptics Settings > Properties,
    Open the Pointing section,
Click on Sensitivity (to highlight) >> click on Spikey blue wheel (Sensitivity settings) >
Set the sensitivity level way over to the right side (Less sensitive)
    Apply
    Next:
Click to Open PalmCheck-Enhanced ACM  >> click on Spikey blue wheel (settings)
Slide the PalmCheck over to the RIGHT to Max
    Apply
Youcan adjust the Advanced filter zone - that is, control where  you can use the TouchPad for certain gestures and how long it takes for the zone to activate.   This can help for particular kinds of gestures, though it won't help for accidentally contact like brushing the surface with the palm of your hand.
These settings, when set to maximum, are likely too extreme - they may give you an idea whether the issue is related to how you are using the TouchPad.

  • Issues with Time Capsule (4th gen).. or Airport Utility?

I have som abstract issues with my Time Capsule. After some recent downtime with my ISP I thought I'd start digging around in the Time Capsules settings using the Airport Utility. Thing is though, when/if the TC shows up in the utility and I click it, it spins around at reading my settings for awhile, then I lose the connection to it entirely, it disappears from Airport Utility and I lose WiFi AND ethernet connection for a good five-or-so minutes. The unit still shows a green light.
I have a tiny bit more luck if I use Airport Utility in Windows 8.1 running through Bootcamp. I can click the Time Capsule without it "shutting down" on me and I can restart the unit through the software, but as soon as I try to change any settings or even enter my password to do so, the same thing happens.
This has happened to me in the past around 2012/2013. My first Time Capsule broke down and I had it replaced, the replacement unit did this to me as well, with the addition of WiFi not working at all so I had that replaced for a unit with the same issue... I kept this cycle replacing up and after about four or five Time Capsules I got the one I have right now which I ONCE managed to install and set up properly, but only through Windows and not OSX.
I just don't know what to do. I can't update the firmware because the airport utility can't read the settings properly as mentioned above, so I don't know if this issue is fixed through an update. Is this a common issue with the 4th gen Time Capsule? As I had it (or something like it) happen to four of the four or five units I've had I could guess it is..?
Any tips or hints, some obvious setting in OS X I could have accidentally

    That is quite a story.
The Gen4 up to recently I would say was clearly the best TC they made.. finally got out most of the bugs and it ran cool enough to survive at least the 3years they should. (You cannot hope for too much more in domestic grade routers now).
But there has now come up a heap of strange issues. Mostly the units just die.. but the use of Mavericks is also causing some problems.
It is possible to do this manually even in Mavericks and even using v6 utility.. although IMHO the v5 utility is a lot better.
I hope you have already got a replacement for your TC in terms of network. Anything you do here might remove the settings that work and you will be unable to put them back.. so don't start until you can know that a bypass is possible.
Also I would like you to do this a special way. And we have a problem immediately..
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
You must have ethernet. Do you have another computer with ethernet.. ?? Or can you get a friend to help with a laptop, PC or Mac that still has ethernet. Otherwise you need to buy a Thunderbolt to ethernet adapter which are not too expensive. And well worth having.
You need to factory reset the TC and do this in full network isolation.
So one ethernet LAN port of the TC to the computer. Computer has no internet connection and no wireless on.
    1. Do the factory reset.
    The Factory Reset universal
Unplug your TC/AE. Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on..  all without releasing reset and keep holding in for about 10sec. The time is not important.. it is the front LED rapid flashing that indicates you are in factory mode.
    Release reset.
If it doesn’t flash rapidly you have released reset at some point and try again.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel..  add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
    2. Manually setup the TC by ethernet.
I have done this setup with screenshots in this thread. If you would please follow that.. anything you don't follow just ask.

  • Issues with multiple Files with multiple subdbs on a single environment.

I'm having an issue with Berkeley DB 4.2 on 32-bit platforms, regarding multiple physical files with multiple subdatabases in a single database environment. Specifically, when I open a subdatabase for a physical file, Berkeley DB thinks that it is using the same subdatabase in a different physical file.
    I'm doing the following:
    1. Create and open a db enviornment.
    2. Move file1 to the common area.
    3. Open, get and close the subdatabases in file1.
    4. Move file2 to the common area.
    5. Open, get and close the subdatabases in file2.
    6. remove file2 from the common area
    7. Move file3 to the common area.
    8. Open a subdatabase from file3. About 1/2 the time, the fetches
return data from file2, not from file3.
It's possible that at some earlier time (i.e. before step 1 of this
test case), file1, file2 and file3 were the same file. I noticed
that there is something called env->fileid_reset, but that is not
    in 4.2.52.
    Any ideas?

Looks like I've resolved the issue

  • Issues with WebForm performance

    Hi,
We had migrated a new application from UAT to PROD and we encounter webform performance issues with the following actions..
After login, the first form you open it is
always slow. After this you can switch from one form to another without a
    delay.
Then once you change any data – the next time
you access a form it gets delayed.
The point to be noted is, it doesnt have any performance issues in the UAT environment and the configuration settings, essbase cache settings are all the same. We did try to move the EPM system to a new server to see if this is a hardware issue but no luck, the performance issues still exist. The consumption of the CPU/memory has been checked and it is proved that the form opening delay has nothing to do with lack of memory.
The JVM head settings is set up at 4GB which is infact higher than that of the UAT environment(2GB).
runs on Windows server2008,11.1.2.1.600 EPM serve, has planning, reporting, foundation on one server (32GB ram) and essbase on another server (32GB ram). Any help is appreciated.

I already replied there but it seems no moderator is willing to approve my reply so it never shows up.
So I'll try replying in here instead:
I never thought it could be an emulator issue, I thought I had done something wrong to begin with. So I take having performance issues with tiled layer is not a common problem I suppose?
I'm using MOTODEV SDK platform, A1200 model (motorola).

  • EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION issue with regard to OpenGL

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION issue with OpenGL occurring with the Java SE Runtime Environment 6u17 on Windows 7, 32 & 64 bit platforms.   Version 6u24 and later does not produce the crash. However, we cannot use any other version of JRE other than 6u17 due to customer constraints. The two primary scenarios where crash  (jvm exits) occurs are: 1) toggling between two applications then selecting an image item on screen ( OpenGL rendering takes place)... (Log file: hs_err_pid6568_C2_TC_error.log). Scenario 2: When panning an image (OpenGL rendering takes place) and then clicking a button to load additional image data (OpenGL rendering takes place), crash occurs (Log file: hs_err_pid6036_ENR_TERRAIN_crash.log)
Is there any Oracle documentation noting any JRE fixes between 6u17 and 6u24 that might at least mitigate the issue(s) described above? Or information with regard to issues between JRE's and OpenGL ? Also, if anyone can advise on code mods, etc that we can try toward said mitigation efforts of course would be helpful.
The following snippet hopefully should suffice as general example for both noted issues:
    Log snippet ( hs_err_pid6568_C2_TC_error.log):

There are some other solutions possible.
    1. Get another driver. The only one known is java only so it wont crash. But is not not free.
    2. Use a proxy driver. That means that another app actually does the database work. If it crashes you just start it again (which you can do in your main code.) That way it won't take down your server. There are commercial jdbc drivers that claim MS Access but are are really just proxy implementations as an option in this area.

But it doesn't list the server while deploying the application.
I don't see the issue in my office network. But I encounter this problem when I work at my home.
Ideally it should show the following lines after server is started:
    DefaultServer startup time: 195467 ms.
    DefaultServer started.
This is not happening if i run the server without network.
How can I fix this problem?
    Thanks
    Ravi

I see some message about a proxy. Have you checked that you can use the proxy from you network?
If not you should turn the proxy off.

  • [SOLVED]Issue with Postfix sending to external mail addresses

I'm having a very silly issue with Postfix. I followed the wiki article at [link]https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Postfix[/link], and everything seems to work properly, however I cannot send to emails outside of my domain.
    I get the error:
550 5.1.1 <[email protected]>: Recipient address rejected: Local delivery only!
Here is what the logs say:

    Your main.cf seems redundant.
    For example:
    if you specify:
    virtual_alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtual_alias, mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql_virtual_forwards.cf
    you don't need this:
    alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/aliases
and i think you have a lot of more options you don't need.
This is my main.cf on my vps and everything works great (sending and receiving emails from/to most common mail server: gmail, hotmail etc etc)

it is very simple (no dkim, no forced tls, no mailbox limits and so on) and it can be improved but it works..
as I suggested you just try spending some hour wiping postfix installation and giving a look to this guide
