Communicate with the soft keyboard on iPad

Hi guys, I'm using Air 2.7 CPU mode... I've got some code that calls a contact form within a movieclip to the stage on my iPad app... works really nicely and I've also got a button on screen that then removes the contact form from the stage.
Unforunately if you're in the middle of typing in a field and press the close form button, the ipad soft keyboard stays on screen and so does the text that's been typed.
I'm wondering if I can communicate with the ipad keyboard to make it go down. I'm hoping I can somehow communicate via actionscript with the small button in the right hand corner of the ipad keyboard which makes the keyboard leave the screen.
Thanks, Mike

Does anyone know if you can target the second keyboard screenon the ipad?
For instance, I was playing around with a Maths learning game, where the user would input numbers only into
an input box.
When they click on the input field it would be great if it went straight to the keyboard numbers tab, to make it seamless.
Thanks,
Matt

first off , from the wired computer access the router using http://192.168.1.1 .. check the firmware version .. go to www.linksys.com/download and check the latest firmware available...if the router does not have the latest firmware , upgrade it first. .. after the firmware upgrade , reset and reconfigure the router
if the router has the latest firmware , then reset the router for 30 seconds .. do a power cycle...access the router ui ..default password is admin..click on the "mac add clone" subtab , enable it and click clone....save the settings and do a power cycle..ensure that the wired computer is online
    on the router web ui , click on the wireless tab ..change the ssid - any non-linksys name , channel - 11 , security mode - wpa , beacon interval - 50 , fragmentation threshold - 2306 , RTS threshold - 2307 ..
let me know if this helps you..

I have been trying to fix my facebook setting but I keep getting an error message after inputting my password. "could not communicate with the server" keeps popping up. [DELETE ACCOUNT] doesn't work either. It doesn't delete my facebook account at all. What else can I do?

Go into settings/privacy/Facebook and disable the button.
Open your Facebook app and login.
Once logged in go back to that button and enable.
You may have to re-enter your password but the error will be gone.
    Good luck.

  • Safari cannot load web pages, but still communicates with the www

I am using Safari 6.0.5 as my main web browser. Unexpectedly, a week ago it stopped loading web pages, though apparently the program somewhat still communicates with the world outside, since I can enter any text in the address bar and get responses in real time from Google.
Other programs using the internet work regularly. I have already tried the usual set of solutions proposed in the official documents.
    Thanks in advance,
    Valerio

  • Android, StageText and the soft keyboard

How to keep the soft keyboard opened? I have a simple text form (1 text field as StageText, 1 button and a scrolling area, similar to sms chat application).
Click on the button or on the scrolling area causes a focus lost in StageText instance and the soft keybord closing (it causes app resize and other problems).
I tried various variants with assignFocus() function, using events SOFT_KEYBOARD_DEACTIVATE, FOCUS_OUT, MOUSE_DOWN.
Also, I tried to call assignFocus() with pause and several times during some period, I tried to move focus to other field and so on...
It was working partially if I created enterFrame event with assignFocus(), but it makes soft keyboard buttons to work very slow and soft keyboard closes when I remove enterFrame event.
This problem is for Android only, iOS version works just fine with MOUSE_DOWN -> assignFocus().
I'm using Flash CS 5.5 and CS 6, AIR 3.2 and AIR 3.3 beta and HTC Sensation with Android 2.3.5 for tests.
Also, I found that SoftKeyboardType.PUNCTUATION is not working with Android soft keyboard.

There are definitely some bugs with Android/textfields/softkeyboard.... there's an already existing bug I'm trying to get people to vote for in regards to textfields on Android. Hopefully once (if ever) they fix this bug, other bugs related to it will go away as well.

Brightness control does not work with the bluetooth keyboard connected on my iPad2. Please someone could help me ?

    Julien-
I have the Apple MC184LL/A Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard.  The brigtness control works with mine, as do most of the other functions.
Try cycling the keyboard off and on.  Hold the power button until the green LED goes out.  Then press it one more time to turn it back on.
You might try resetting the iPad's network.  Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings.  Then you may need to reconnect your WiFi and Bluetooth.
If that doesn't help, try resetting/rebooting the iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  The iPad will restart in a couple of minutes.  Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

  • Mac mini issue:lost connectivity with the wireless keyboard

I lost connectivity with the wireless keyboard and I can't unlock the lock screen. What can i do?

Sometimes powering the keyboard off by holding in the power button on the right end of the battery box and then after ten of so seconds powering up again will reestablish the connection. Other than that forcing a reboot using the power switch on the mini should  restore the connection unless thereis something else going on.
If this is a recurring problem try replacing the batteries with fresh ones. If this keyboard has been paired with another bluetooth device such as an iPad or another Mac, unpair it from the other device.

  • Error: "Verification Failed" Could not communicate with the server.

"Verification Failed" Could not communicate with the server.
I get this message every time I go to Icloud in setting menu.
also my contact are not in sync (empty on Ipad)
What does this message mean, and how do I solve it.
Everything else works (Autodesk Draw also works with Icloud and it works fine)
    Mail ok
Downloading from appstore ok (also after password)
Please provide me with a solution due to this problem I can't get my contacts on my new ipad (at least that is what I think)

Ok I got it working... the Ipad stores your password at different locations. So changing it once does not do the job. I thought the Ipad had the Single Sign On function for the apple password.
So make sure that you not only change your password in "the shop" but also in the setting menu (general) and icloud menu.
this helped for me, I had to let go the Single Sign On thought first....

  • Does Expose work with the wireless keyboard?

I've been trying to use Expose with no luck. I hit F9 and I either fast forward through a video or nothing happens (depending on whether iTunes is on).
I've opened Expose in preferences and confirmed the keys, even changed them to see what happens. Nada. I can only think that it might have to do with the wireless keyboard. I do have Expose set for my mouse but when I deselect that it doesn't change the fact that I can't access with my F buttons.
    What do you think?
    Cheers,

  • Migration from Exchange 2007 to 2013 gives error "Failed to communicate with the mailbox database'

I have been trying to migrate several databases from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. The migration started successfully, and many of the mailboxes moved successfully (about 70). The remaining mailboxes, failed. Looking deeper, we found a few issues; The
two 2013 Mailbox servers were on different versions. The Server had run out of disk space, and the NIC drivers needed to be updated.
Now when we try to migrate a mailbox that had failed in the earlier batch, we get the following error:

All of the issues listed above have been corrected, and all of the databases are mounted. Users are able to send and receive mail, but I can not migrate mail using the Migration Batch utility.
The destination server is a Hyper-V Guest running Server 2012, SP1, and Exchange 2013
The Source Server is Running Exchange 2007.
I have tried doing a test move to another destination server that is also Server 2012, and Exchange 2013, and the migration also failed.
I would appreciate any help you can give me!
    Thanks,
    Jon

Any update if you have resolved the issue.
Not similar, but this thread can be helpful while you migrate the mailboxes from exchange 2007 to 2013. • Jabber for Mac 9.2.1 Cannot communicate with the server

    Hi All,
I'm using Webex and the Jabber for Mac 9.2.1 client that was automatically pushed.  I see "Cannot communicate with the server" when I attempt to login.
The same credentials work correctly when using the 8.6.5 client version.  I've attached the problem report file.
I would appreciate some guidance on what I need to do to get this to work.
    Cheers,
    Steve

We've seen this with a few of our users as well. All started noticing having issues Friday morning. As this is a hosted service for us via webex we had our engineers call in to Jabber support. Cisco performed a modification to their account and they were able to connect again. No SRV records were messed with.
***EDIT*** - This appears to have been caused by a certificate issue. The Trusted Root Certificate for QuoVadis expired and was not renewed on some machines.
    Go here: https://www.quovadisglobal.com/QVRepository/DownloadRootsAndCRL.aspx
Install the Cert for : QuoVadis Root CA2 (in windows, download as DER>right click file>install)
Jabber should connect now. The issue was in SSL validation with the appropriate hosted servers.

  • A network error occurred while trying to communicate with the server.

    Hello All,
I am getting some new error messages when opening the server app on my Mac Mini server running OS X 10.8.2 and Server 2.2.1. First I get a message that says "A network error occurred while trying to communicate with the server." and then after trying to open some of the service panes, I get additional errors that say "Multiple errors occurred on the server while processing commands." The services don't load and I just see "Error Reading Settings" in the server app.
I started to get these errors when I added a new website to the server. All the services are working fine but I cannot access them in the server app.
In console I'm seeing these errors when I try to access various services:
2/24/13 8:02:12.692 PM Server[956]: Error: The server '10.0.1.150' reported an error while processing a command of type: 'readSettings' in plug-in: 'servermgr_dns'. I have already restarted the server and used terminal to stop and start postgres. Any more thoughts on how to repair this?

Just as I had suspected, the whole GUI crashed because of certificate problems. After two and a half hours with enterprise support, it turns out the com.apple.servermgrd certificate in the server keychain had become corrupt.
We determined this by typing https://127.0.0.1:311 into Safari and we could see all the server modules and interact with them through the web interface. All the services were working properly as well so we knew that it was just the Server.app GUI that simply couldn't read settings that was causing the problem.
So, first we closed the server app. Went into /var/servermgrd and deleted all the files from this folder. Then, in Keychain, deleted the com.apple.servermgrd certificate. Did a search for com.apple.servermgrd in Keychain and deleted everything else that came up for it.
Then restarted the server. Now the server app was able to properly connect to the services in the background and read them properly. This was the jist of the troubleshooting that solved the problem. It also seems like DNS is causing problems because that is the only service that will not read right but is functioning properly in the background.
I will post an update once Apple figures out what is wrong with DNS. Hope this helps anybody else having these problems.
