Community Announcement trouble

The complex where I live provides internet access as part of their services. The catch, is that occasionally they post announcements on the server which must be acknowledged before access to the internet can be continued. This is causing a problem because none of the computers on the network will see the announcement and so I can't acknowledge it to make it go away. I can reset the internet connection, but this is a hassle due to having to reregister with the internet provider. An important note is that I am only provided one IP address by the provider, which I have set up the router to share that one IP address among the rest of my network.
My setup involves a Windows Vista Home Premium desktop hooked up through ethernet to an Airport Extreme Gigabit 802.11n. The Airport is in WDS mode to support two Airport Express basestations. The rest of my wireless network includes a second desktop (Vista Ultimate, 802.11g), 2 laptops (Windows XP, 802.11g), my MBP (OSX 10.4.10, 802.11n), 360, PS3, Wii, and HD-DVD player.
Is there a setting or something easy I can do to keep my network from going down every time they send out a community announcement?

    Motorola Mobility has announced that it'll be giving the boot to 20 percent of its workforce in the coming months. This is one of the few restructuring steps the company is taking, after it went under Google's ownership.
    In addition to the 4,000 layoffs, the company is also planning on closing a third of its 94 facilities and focusing on its hubs in Sunnyvale, California, Chicago and Beijing and scale back its presence in Asia and India. There will be some reorganization at the high levels of the company as well, as 40 percent of Moto Mobility's vice presidents will be let go.

  • Community/Project Associations

    What we are trying to do is programmatically allow users to use the collaboration project tools if they want them, and they can choose which tools they want to use.
    We want to put each tool on a separate page in each community. Community Announcement portlet goes on the home page, the the Community calendar, documents and discussions portlets each go on their own page in the community.
    What I have done is created some page templates for the calendar, documents and discussion pages. When they user checks on the check box in the "create project" portlet we have created, the jsp goes off and adds the page (based on the page template) to the community. When we create the first page eg the calendar, the program runs, and comes back, and the page is created. You go into the page, and the portlets start appearing. That's all good. However to create a second page eg the documents, the jsp runs, and the program creates the page. When you go into the page, the portlet just displays a message:
    "No projects have been added to your Community page. To add projects, click here."
    When you manually go into the project administration, the functional area for the documents is not turned on. I'm guessing the documents portlet is not associating itself with the project for this community. Is there anyway to make the association between the portlets and collab project for that community?

    I would appreciate if anyone can step up and answer my query.
    Some thing like "IT IS NOT POSSIBLE!!" will be cordially accepted.

  • ITunes wont open - Quicktime fails to initialize

    when i open itunes, it says that quicktime failed to initialize.
    i open quicktime, and it works fine
    ive tried reinstalling...
    it was working a few days ago, then I hd to get rid of a few programs fast, so I went to the Program Files folder and deleted a few of them. All the apple software was deleted from this folder. But I didn't actually go the the control panel and all that.

    You may want to try the uninstall below. Keep in mind to follow it in the order below if you want to reduce the amount of times you reboot. Also keep in mind not all programs in this list will be on your computer this is just a list of Apple programs that could be there if so uninstall them.
    1. Uninstall the following Apple Software in the following order to help reduce reboots
    -Apple Mobile Device Support
    -Apple Software Update
    -Bonjour
    -Windows iPod Updater (Name might be different but look for anything with the word iPod)
    -MobileME Control Panel
    -Quicktime
    -iTunes
    *Now reboot the computer
    *Now download and install Quicktime by itself the stand alone version. Then download and install iTunes.

  • About really bad experiance with Sales person and store manager

    Hi ,
           Yesterday I have really bad day of my life. I visit verizon wireless store in shrewsbury, MA. I have some issue with my phone. I talk with sales representative about my phone issue. I explain him about my phone issue. She is not at all taking that things seriously. They are saying that go for upgrade. I was not happy with her response then their store manager <Employee name removed for privacy.>.  I was talking about phone issue and trying to find out the possible soultion. She was laughing and talking so badly with us. She was not at all supportive. This is worst experiance in my life.

    I can understand my phone is 1 year old. It pass warrenty. I'm sorry upgrade is not an option for this issue. Please call me once you have time.

    My droid died would not turn on. I pay insurance so I went to the cerritos verion store! It was 11:45am went inside to find balloons and banners. It was the day they launched the I phone. Told them my problem and they would not help me they were dedicated to the I phon til noon. So I worked all night decided to go get some sleep then cam back at 3pm. The person helping me took my phone to the back and came back to me to tell me I was right and they would get me a phone that worked. Well it was a replacement phone that had to be sent to my house. Now I am really angry, but what are you gonna do. I went with it. 2 days later got my (refurbished) phone with no battery or back to it! Had to tranfer info over then sent back bad phone! This was in October. st of december I just happened to go on My verizon and see that they charged me for the phone. after a lot time on phone back and forth we figured it out. But I am due an upgrade to my phone and trust me Verizon did nothing to help me, or to try and keep me! I have been a loyal customer of verizon for many years. There loss! Now I am shopping for new phone service moble and home!

  • Will be leaving Verizon Wireless after five and a half years...

    Note, people with Verizon please listen and think clearly on this.  I have asked Verizon a question and I can not get a valid response.  My question is:  How can a person pay their bill on time (due date August 15th for instance) when their bill is coming up as being past due on August 1st?  Yes, I will be leaving Verizon Wireless services after five and a half years and I will not be returning EVER.  So people, please, check your bill carefully because it seems that Verizon's billing software has had a few 'glitches' lately and yes, that glitch was apparently corrected for a short time on October 9th (Tuesday after Columbus Day) but has apparently returned.  Apparently Verizon seems to be making too much money bilking people for being past due before the due date and I just can not continue doing business with such a 'money grubbing' company,  And so many 'promises' broken in recent times that I know better than to believe anyone in the company that says "We're here to help".  I know better.  Goodbye and good riddance and please don't ever turn my phones back on, I wish to have some sanity back in my life again and Verizon Wireless is NOT part of that sanity.

    My bill has NEVER come up as being PAST DUE before the due date ECXEPT for the 1 time several years ago when I forgot enter in the new expiration date on my credit card listed in autopay.
    Currently, my bill due on Nov 11 IS NOT listed as past due.
    My guess is if your bill says past due BEFORE your due date is because you did not pay all or some of your last bill.
    Bad news is that other providers will treat you the same way if you do this with them, too.

  • Tv shows will not finish the download.

    I have been trying to download a tv show. The download gets all the way to the end of the "progress bar" and then announces "trouble" with same. The prompts say, "try down load again later." I am now on try number 4 or 5, it happens every time. Suggestions?

    I'm in the same boat...tried to download a TV show for the last 2 days (about 6 download attempts) and all I get after the download appears complete: "Thee was an error downloading your purchased music. An unknown error occured (0xFFFE7958)". I have repaired disk permissions, rebuilt directories with Disk Warrior, turned of shared music (in case there was an issue) all with no success. I have sent an e-mail to Apple iTunes support but if history is my guide, I don't expect a lot of support. If someone has a magic pill, I'd love to take it. Thanks.
