Community/Project Associations

What we are trying to do is programmatically allow users to use the collaboration project tools if they want them, and they can choose which tools they want to use.
We want to put each tool on a separate page in each community. Community Announcement portlet goes on the home page, the the Community calendar, documents and discussions portlets each go on their own page in the community.
What I have done is created some page templates for the calendar, documents and discussion pages. When they user checks on the check box in the "create project" portlet we have created, the jsp goes off and adds the page (based on the page template) to the community. When we create the first page eg the calendar, the program runs, and comes back, and the page is created. You go into the page, and the portlets start appearing. That's all good. However to create a second page eg the documents, the jsp runs, and the program creates the page. When you go into the page, the portlet just displays a message:
"No projects have been added to your Community page. To add projects, click here."
When you manually go into the project administration, the functional area for the documents is not turned on. I'm guessing the documents portlet is not associating itself with the project for this community. Is there anyway to make the association between the portlets and collab project for that community?

I would appreciate if anyone can step up and answer my query.
Some thing like "IT IS NOT POSSIBLE!!" will be cordially accepted.

  • IDK automatically adding Everyone group to collab community project

    Hi,
    I deleted Everyone group from the community project members. I tried to read the properties of community project of collab using the IDK. What I observed is IDK call automatically adding Everyone group in the members. Can anybody tell me the reason why its happening.
    Note: I am 100% sure that i am not changing any property of the community project using portal collab ui or using the IDK.

    I just made a test with my Project Online instance and when I create a new user, the team member group is already selected in the user's creation interface. Thus by default, any user will be in the team member group.

  • Difference between Community Projects & Projects at Collab 4.0?

    Could anyone tell me what's the difference between "Community Projects" vs "Projects" at Collaboration 4.0?

    In addition to what George has said, Adobe Reader X version 10.0.3 is only for Mac platforms. For windows platforms, latest version is 10.0.1 only. So if you are using Windows, you should not see any updates to Reader X (10.0.1) as of now.
    Also you can see all the Reader features at http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/features.html
    From the feature dropdown, select "New features" to see what features are added to Reader X.
    For Reader 9, the latest version is 9.4.4
    Also in future you can visit the link http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ which will guide you about the latest update available for your product. You may even download these installers from above link to apply patch manually.

  • Broken Cisco Unity / Unified Communications Manager association

    We have several Cisco Unity Connection users with the following status in their profiles:
    "This user's association to the co-resident Cisco Unified Communications Manager user has been broken.
    Please Click Here to reassociate the orphaned user."
    Clicking on the reassociation button does not show any of the users with broken associations, just a few resource users.
    Is there any way to reassociate these users with CUCM without having to delete them in Unity Connection along with their mailboxes?

    These are the steps I took to resolve the issue. I was particularly concerned about users losing saved messages in their voicemail. The posted solution did not give much detail on what to do.
    1) Create a new user in CUCM. For example, I have a user called 'John Doe' in the system. I created a new one called 'John Doe2'.
    2) After creating the user I associated 'John Doe2' to the phone in use by 'John Doe'. Then I set the Primary Extension as needed for that user. Hit the 'Save' button and verify that the 'Create Cisco Unity User' option shows up in the drop-down box in the right hand corner.
    3) Log into Cisco Unity Connection Administration, and select 'John Doe'. Click on the link to re-associate and select 'John Doe2'. This links the Unity user to the CUCM user.
    4) Log back into CUCM and select 'John Doe' from the user list. Remove all device associations from the user. Hit Save, then delete the user.
    5) Select 'John Doe2' and rename the user as 'John Doe'.
    These steps fixed my problem. I had to do it for all the users whose association was broken. One note to make is that the voicemail PIN is automatically reset to the default I believe, which is 0000. Other than that voicemail continues to work normally and users don't have to redo their greetings and such.

  • Collaboration Project does not "stick" to Community

    Every day I need to re-add my Community Project to it's associated Community. (Collaboration Explorer > Select Project > Add Project to this Community). The next day, when I open the Community, the Project is no longer in the Community Projects list, I need to re-add it.
    We are running Collab version 4.0.2. Any thoughts?

  • Upload FCP Projects and Associated Media to a Production

    Hi,
    This sounds very silly but I`m really disappointed and can`t figured out how to do it.
    Is there a way to upload a *.fcp project and associate NOT ONLY the project but ALSO the Media that this project contains?
    In other words, if I upload a FCP project and choose a Production to be associated the production is created but ONLY the FCP Project Asset is inside this production, not the whole medias.
    A scan production (for the FCP file) also doesn`t work.
    What works is uploading all media and associating to a production or do a Scan production into a directory with medias. But my FCP and Medias are in distinct places and a thought that FCP project could help me cleaning the Media directories (by uploading the project and after all medias are catalogued archiving them, so the rest in directories are useless).
    The work around would be:
    1- to do a Scan Production in the Media files and after that uploading a FCP project associating with that Production, but as I`ve said I can`t just scan the entire Media as it`s very messy and with this way I could be guaranteed that my important assets are catalogued (and archived) and the left ones in the messy directories could be quick filtered to exclusion and cleaning without worries.
    2- to upload a FCP and associate to a production and after that manually move fcp associated assets to this production (this almost impossible because the limitation of 200 assets per page).
    Can some one propose a better way?

    No, you are correct, but unfortunately these are Elements (inside the FCP project) and not real Assets. So for instance, if you fill in the annotations on the Asset it will not show on the Elements (inside FCP projects) and vice-versa. You can`t do a lot of other things as well with elements as you can with assets.
    So I would like to have a Production with all media created automatically when a FCP project is uploaded (or scanned).

    I was facing the problem with the Deployments of web service(java class) as EAR.I created the one web project associated with EAR project. After my development i exported this project as EAR and deployed the same on the weblogic console.....But time it will work fine and sometime it Deployments status will not become active (its running status) and failed after activate the changes.
    Can any body tell me the real problem with weblogic console for Deployments?

    It is possible to do through SDK. although on a rather large scale. You need to establish an UDO idientify the userid with multiple project code, or project code with mulitple user ID. Then all the project code drop down inside SBO will need to be replaced by SDK to show only the project associated with current log in user id. To make it more complete, you need to establish error message in the SP_transactionnofication to hold the document if project code used (as they can still manually type in) is not usable by them!

    I have an organisation where one project-A is having 100000$ and it gave a sub-contract to project-B for 20000$, I need to track how Project-B performs the work, how do i check the billing for both the projects...???
    Shall i take project-B as a subtask in project-A if so how to process it, or I should use INTERCOMPANY BILLING between two operating units

    These are the Pre-requisites
    1. Internal Supplier defined (Ex-Internal-Vision Operations)
    2. Internal Customer defined (Ex-Internal-Vision Operations)
    3. Two projects should be created Main Project & Sub Project
    4. In Provider & receiver controls give Provider as supplier defined above & receiver as Customer defined above
    5. In main Projects Structures check Program Reporting Checkboxes A) Setup Project as Program & B) Allow Linked Projects to belong to multiple programs
    6. For main project task associate the sub-project as sub-project association & in task details check the check-box Receive Inter project invoices
    7. In Sub-Project Customer & contact details Check the checkbox Bill another Project & give the receiver project as Main Project number & Customer details should be the Internal Customer defined above
    8. Create agreements for both Projects
    After the above setup is done follow the below mentioned process
    1. Enter Expenditures on Provider Project
    2. Generate Draft inter project Invoice
    3. Approve & Release the draft
    4. Interface Invoice to receivables
    5. Run Tieback form Receivables
    6. Invoice is automatically created in Oracle Payables
    7. AP Invoice Import
    8. Validate the Invoice in Oracle Payables
    9. Create Auto accounting & transfer to GL
    10. Interface supplier costs in main project
    11. Update Performance
    12. View Costs On receiver project

  • How to represent an association "many to many" with an association class?

    I work with JPA (and TopLink essentials).
    Class Person
    Class Project
    Association M:N between these 2 classes. A person has a function in each project she participates in.
    My relational schema:
    table PERSON, primary key person_id, person_name,...
    table PROJECT, primary key project_id, project_name,...
    table PARTICIPATION,
    - primary key (person_id, project_id). person_id references PERSON and project_id references PROJECT.
    - column "function".
    How to write the entities Person, Project and Participation so that they map the relational schema? I don't know what to put as the "id" (@Id) of the class Participation
    I know how to solve the problem by adding an attribute id (annotated by @Id) in the class Participation that would map to an id column in the table PARTICIPATION but I would like to match exactly the relational schema: the primary key of PARTICIPATION is (person_id, project_id) and not another id column.

    There are 2 items I don't understand in your message. My questions are beneath, inside the text of your message:
    You have a m-m relationship with additional
    information in the join table. To map this you need
    an object representing the join table, in your case
    you have chosen Participation. So you basically need
    to define a 1-m from Person to Participation and a
    1-m from Project to Participation (unless you only
    care about access from one side).
    Participation should have a 1-1 to Person and another
    1-1 to Project using the two foreign key fields.I would say they are m-1 associations. But perhaps you have made a typing error?
    Although TopLink allows 1-1 mappings to be used a
    primary keys, the JPA Spec requires that you have
    basic mappings, so you also need a personId and
    projectId attribute in the Participation.I don't understand. Can you detail your answer?
    I have not found the section of the JPA specification which says how to do with 2 mappings.

  • Backing up iMovie Events and Projects As Opposed to Moving Them

    Hi all. I'd like to make some backups of my iMovie events and projects. I read on the Apple site that the best way to do this is through iMovie itself and not the Finder. I should drag events to an external hard drive inside the iMovie window. When I do this, does it copy the event to the drive, or does it move it to the drive. I'd rather have a copy since I'm trying to make a backup. Also, how would I do this for projects to make a backup?
    2) If I already copied my Events and Projects folder to an external drive, would I be able to use these in the future? Would I just place them inside my Movies folder under user and launch iMovie. These just seems easier in the event that everything crashed. Am I missing something here? It seems like it would be easier just to copy these two folders everytime, and save them in case of a hard drive crash.

    If you drag your Projects folder over to the external drive icon in the Project Library, a pop-up window will give you the option of just duplicating the Project or getting the Project + associated Events too. I suggest going with the copy of Projects + Events to get a real duplicate backup of your iMovie project. By default iMovie assumes you want a copy.
    If you want to move a Project/Events combo, you would hold down the ⌘ Command key and drag the project to the external drive icon in the Project Library.
    Any time you want a backup, just drag that project folder to the external drive icon, but just make sure you do it regularly. Otherwise you'll end up with an older incomplete previous version of the project because the backup is based on an action you have to remember to do.
    If you already dragged those folders over outside of iMovie, it's unlikely iMovie will be able to see or find those files. You would have to drag them back to the iMovies folders inside your Movies folder. So there's an extra step involved. And if you do that regularly, and don't mind dragging files back into the iMovies folders, that will work too. On the Mac, there's always more than one way to do things, so do what makes sense to you.

    I would like to know more details on the Impact of migrating/consolidating Multiple Maintenance Project to Single Solution Magager Maintenance Project.
    For exapmple: I have 4 Maintenance Projects with different logical systems running with CHARM functionality, but instead of maintaining these multiple Maintenance project, I can have one Maintenance project and muntiple IMG projects associated with it. If I do so what is the impact to the current CHARM functionality. Based on the IMG projects the CTS projects will be created and CHARM should work fine. But I need a clarity if someone have already the same kind of setup.
    Also what is the scope of creating and maintaining the Maintenance projects to a Solution. Please Provide an Impact Analysis.

    Make a Buffered Image large enough to handle the size of the final image... say you have 10 jpegs each 100x100, and you want them in a configuration with 5x2... 500x200.
    Once you have the images loaded and the new BufferedImage, just paint them into the appropriate (x, y) value of the graphics context of the image.

    I need to customize Account Generator for Documents (PO,REQ & Invoice) which are linked to Projects.
    So we zeroed in on below Workflows
    1. PO Account Generator
    2. PO Requisition Account Generator
    3. Project Supplier Invoice Account Generation
    For 1, PO Account Generator, we found the node under Process "Generate Default Charge Account" where it's checking for Destination Type, & if it's Expense then it's checking if PO is Project Based. Now my question is
    Q1.1 --> Can PO be of Inventory or Shop floor & still have Project associated with it. If yes, then how can we do the customization of Charge account for PO's based on Project.
    For 2,we found the node "Build Expense Project Charge Account" under Process "Build Expense Charge Account".
    Q2.1 --> Is it where we need to Put the customization for Project related requisitions. Again this process is for Destination Type of Expense. So again same question under 1.1 will answer the second part of question for PO Requisition Account Generator
    For 3, as of now I am very much confused on this workflow where to put the customization for Project related Invoices.
    Any help is appreciated.

    We were able to finally confirm that we are doing the customization on right node.
    Now we are stuck as we are being asked that we only need to call standard packages for customization, now if Account is setup as Lookup Set on Oracle Projects, then we have found that by calling PA_ACC_GEN_WF_PKG.PA_SEG_LOOKUP_SET_VALUE we'll be able to derive the value for the segment. But what will happen to Rules & Functions defined in Oracle Projects. How they can play the role for customizing Account Generator.
    Any help. Let me know if I can explain in more detail.
