Can I get a comparision between ODI, OWB & Informatica for the below features?
Easy To Use ,RDBMS Connections,Non-RDBMS Connections,Data Validations,
Large Volume Performance,Built-in Scheduler,Join Multiple Sources ,Complex Lookups in Mappings,License Pricing ?

I don't think there's such a tool
1. but it could not compare the directory
as you have different business systems (so all other objects as well)
2. objects in the IR would also be difficult to compare
(ABAP mappings?, XSLT? JAVA mappings? and other archives)
3. basically when you stick to the rule
that you only transport from QAS to PRD and don't change
the PRD all of your objects should be the same

Dear Experts,
We are Using BO XI R3.1 SP3 Enterprise Version ,Integration Tool Kit For SAP,Live Office.
The Server is Linux Server.
But while generating reports in Infoview it is giving error like ""_check that you are licensed to access SAP Data Source_".
So we came to know that license Key might Expire for Integraton Tool Kit For SAP in Bo Server.
So can you tell me how to add the license key For BO XI R3.1 SP3 Integration Tool Kit For SAP in Linux Server.

Compare Documents tool in Acrobat Pro 9

I'm assessing the Compare Documents tool in Acrobat Pro 9 for business use, and have some very specific questions about its functionality:
When I initially load a pair of PDFs to compare, occasionally Acrobat refuses to accept them as anything but "scanned documents" even though they are fully electronic-sourced PDFs created in, usually, Adobe illustrator. What are the specific criteria that cause Acrobat Pro to force the "scanned documents" type? Is it related to the presence of only "flattened"/"outlined" text instead of embedded fonts? Lack of layers? Some other graphical feature? How do the comparison parameters/performance change when the loaded docs are designated as scanned rather than one of the other types?
Second, when I've done a Compare on two nearly identical documents and then call up the "old and difference images" display - is there any way at all to manipulate this display? Some of my docs are large - potentially full press-sheet size of around 24" x 40", and when the differences between them are tiny (e.g., a change in only a few Braille dots over the entire graphic) the on-screen rendering of the "difference image" side of the display is relatively tiny and practically useless, although it contains exactly the information I need to see. Can it be grabbed/stretched/magnified/saved/printed/analyzed some other way besides how it is? It seems to disappear literally at the first mouse-motion or key-touch, which is incredibly frustrating. Are there any changes or improvements in this feature in version 10.x over version 9.2.0 (which is the latest version my company has approved)?
Third, also at the post-compare stage, the feature tags a small printer info block in a corner of the document with "This image was replaced" even when I know the info block has not been changed. Why could this happen?

Sounds like you want to do this on a server, but you should know that Adobe Acrobat cannot legally be used on a server.
For server-based PDF operations you can look at Adobe LiveCycle products or our Adobe PDFLibrary (available in both Java and C++)

What is the Diff between B1i and iBOLT tool ?

B1iP is the integration technology designed by SAP for integration between SAP R/3, SAP B1, and a variety of other sources. iBolt is also an integration tool, developed by Magic Software.
To the best of my knowledge, the following is a quick list of differences between B1iP and iBolt:
1) B1iP is provided free of cost by SAP, iBolt has its own licensing model and pricing.
2) B1iP is more suited for developing generic integration products, while iBolt is more suited for developing projects based on individual customer requirements.
3) iBolt has existing connectors for a variety of sources outside of SAP, including Salesforce and JDEdwards, such connectors would have to be developed for B1iP.
4) B1iP's allows you to develop integration scenarios easily on top a generic framework, or develop a custom framework based on your requirements. I'm not sure how the same would be accomplished through iBolt.
Possibly someone more familiar with iBolt can comment more on it.

ODI-1241: Oracle Data Integrator tool execution fails.

I'm getting the following error while running the OdiOSCommand command. I'm running dos2unix command to convert text files from dos to unix format.
Application tier is on a different host to the ODI setup. Getting the following error. Please help resolve this issue.
Error : ODI-1226: Step OdiOSCommand fails after 1 attempt(s).
ODI-1241: Oracle Data Integrator tool execution fails.
Caused By: com.sunopsis.dwg.function.SnpsFunctionBaseException: ODI-30038: OS command returned 1.

The issue was with the value set for the OUTPUT_DIR variable. It was pointing to the wrong location.
After setting it correctly the package completed successfully.

To anwser your question. We are finding junk data and need to run the command to remove them from the input files which are coming from a different source.

Integrating Code Inspector with Continious Integration Tools

Hi everybody,
outside the ABAP-world there is a large number of tools available, both commercial and open source, that support the continuous integration within software projects. One part of theses tools it to execute any available unit test after each commit to the source code. The code inspector (SCI) within SE80 basically can do something very similar. Run unit tests, check for coding conventions etc.
I was wondering if the is a simple way to integrate the code inspector with existing tool, SAP external, continuous integration tools. I envision something like that after each transport or once per day SCI is executed and the results are made available in the external tool.
Has anyone here ever done something like that? Are there any existing solutions available for it of the shelf?

Compare reporting tools

Hi,
Could some one point in the right direction - we are trying to finalize the reporting tool.
We have worked with BI-Publisher(not as dynamic) and Discoverer(formatting a big issue) - trying to find a tool that would overcome the limitations that these 2 tools have.
We want to be able to use Oracle Db, VPD, set client_id using OPD.Net, integrate with web application as key requirements. By same token would like to be able to create dynamic reports which allows a great deal of flexibility. Is there such a reporting tool?
Any ideas much appreciated.

Compare / Difference tool by Oracle or third party

Is there any tool or option available using which I can compare the data/table existing in my Oracle database (on-premise) to the data/tables in my Oracle Cloud DB instance. I have tried SQL Developer with the ‘Database Difference’ option, but it just let me compare my local Oracle DBs and doesn’t list the Cloud DB under the source/destination drop down list. I have also the same with the Red-Gate tool for Oracle but that too didn't result in success.

The issue with other tools (and SQL Developer) is that you can only access the Database Cloud through RESTful Web Services, not SQL*Net, so access has to be specifically implemented for these tools. We already did some of the work for SQL Developer, which is why you have some capabilities with Cloud Connections, but we are moving towards full (within the limits of security lockdowns) SQL Developer support. I can't speak for the other tools, but since SQL Developer is in the same development organization as the Database Cloud, I would think it would hit there first.

1. Does iCloud has a finder? (I supose yes) Can it find files searching words of the content file?
2. Can you tag a file whit your own words, and retrieve the file searching by this tags?

It's not clear from your question whether you are aware that iCloud does not offer general file storage. You can upload iWork and TextEdit documents to be accessible on your iOS device(s) but it's not possible to store other types of tiles.

Compare Documents Tool: Highlights similar text, pink clouds, yellow triangles etc.

I'm trying to use Acrobat 8 3D (in the Tech. Comm. Suite)to compare two PDFs and the results are rather confusing. If anyone has any insight into this tool or can point me to any useful documentation, I would appreciate it.
The documents I am attempting to compare were created outside the Adobe product suite (in XMetaL Author I think) by another author. To begin the comparison, I open up the first document, select Advanced>Compare Documents, then select the second document in the resulting dialog. I then select "Textual differences" and "Side by Side Report" for the options.
Here are my problems with and questions about the results:
I can't find any documentation as to what the different colored comparison marks mean. Blue lines, green lines, etc.
The comparison marks don't seem to be identifying actual text changes. There are red strike-outs and blue and green underlines beneath text in one document that appears identical to the text in the other document.
What do the yellow triangles signify?
What's with the pink clouds surrounding half my document? I don't understand what it is intending to indicate.

Check with your SAP/BO account manager to see if you are licenced for it.
If you are, they will be able to supply it to you.
