Compare the input filename in the selection screen

In the selection screen input field
there is an option of selecting the directory and file name and not the extension .
This is used to download the datas
Extension can be selected by using the option button
rtf
csv.
the user has to give only the filename and not the extension.
suppose if the user input is C:\temp\file1.rtf.
Either i should take only the filename
or i should display the message give only the filename and not the extension . its already been selected!!!!
I want to compare the input string contains .doc
how to do the comparison and to get the above results mentiond

Because the requirment is there are two option buttion for selecting the download file format
But unknowingly if the user gives the filename along with the extension. I need to handle that error
giving some error message or information message
By comparing the last 4 letters of the filename.. either.doc or rtf or csv or watever
so how to do that
then after comparing that i should give the user a msg doc type is already selected give only the filename

We have a requirement to Set only the To date in the Created on Field in Selection screen to the Current date, I have tried through Dynamic variable option to set the Date calculation but I am able to see Options to set the Current date to From or From and To Created on Date fields instead of setting the Current date only to To created on Field.
We are in 4.7 and are not supported with user defined variables, Appreciate your inputs on this.

what Text field you want to change.
Since you are working with Dynpros , you have to split the screen in two parts, and one for the Showing differenet fonts and other your normal Dynpro information.
you need to use the Method ADD_TEXT Did you check the program DD_STYLE_TABLE.

I tried to chane the settings via t code KCR6 but still didn't get the required output details.

I have an issue with my BDC,the seleection screen for picking up the file using parameters doesnt comes up in my parameter box. following is the code i'm using :

Expanding and clarifying what BJD said;
After you create the temporary sub-VI that BJD mentioned, open its front panel and copy the reference control that LV created when it created the sub-VI.
This reference control will be correct class etc that you need. Use the control to replace the original control that you were attempting to wire up.
The technique of "create sub-VI...copy" always works for me.
There is one more thing that you should watch out for.
The mechanical action of the boolean can not be set for latch action when attempting to read the value using a value property node.

I have to pass the 4 different values to the sql file and each time i pass the value it has to generate the txt file for that value like wise it has to generate the 4 files at each run.
can any one help me out.

Can you please more elaberate., perhaps you should more elaberate.
sqlplus is a program. you start it from the korn shell. when it's finished, processing control returns to the korn shell. the korn shell and sqlplus do not communicate back and forth.
so "spool the output from .sql file to some txt file from k shell, while passing the input parameters to the sql file from korn shell" makes no sense.

Not able to display the values in the input fields of the view

I am facing an unique issue.
My custom element created in my custom node getting a null value
from a Get Vendor Details RFC written in RFC.
The values are getting populated in the custom element but not coming in the
input field of the corresponding view.
Then, I wrote this code
wdContext.nodeCustom.setLeadSelection(1);
and all the output came in the input field.
Now, after a build it is not coming in the input fields of the view.
All my custom nodes are Singleton and values are coming in the custom elements
as I can print them by wdComponentApi.getMessageManager.reportSuccess(""+customnode.getField());
All my nodes are Singleton.
Please give your valuable inputs.

Check the node property
initializeLeadSelection true
if not make it true , I would suggest to make a value node of the same structure as in RFC after execuation of the RFC populate the value manually.Dont bind it directly to the UI element.

We are getting the following error when running our SSIS packages on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1:
Error: 4014, Severity:20, State: 11. A fatal error occurred while reading the input stream from the network. The session will be terminated (input error: 109, output error: 0)
SQL Server Data Tools and SQL Server Database Engine reside on the same server.
We tried the following:
Disabling TCP Chimney Offload
Installed Windows Server 2008 SP1
Splitting our SSIS code into multiple steps so it is not all one large continuous operation
The error occurs during a BulkDataLoad task.
Other options we are investigating with the engineering team (out-sourced, so delayed responses):
Firewall configurations (everything is local, so this should not make a difference)
Disabling the anti-virus scanner
Are there other things we can try?
Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Based on the current information, the issue can be caused by many reasons. Please refer to the following tips:
Install the latest hotfix based on your SQL Server version. Ps: there is no SQL Server 2012 R2 version.
Change the MaxConcurrentExecutables property from -1 to another one based on the MAXDOP. For example, 8.
Set "RetainSameConnection" Property to FALSE on the all the connection managers.

Report error with the input form using the VC BI integration wizard

Hello All,
I've created a report using the BI integration wizard in visual composer. I've configured the query with the 'Free Form' query template also I've defined the filters there. This is working fine and giving me the report output. When I deploy this , I could see
a start point for the data service.
But instead of the start point with the default values for the filters , I want to have an input form for the users to enter the field values. I added the input form in place of start point. But it's not working even though it doesn't give any error while deploying this report. It gives the following error when I run this report.
" Data service error occurred,cannot execute OLAP queryCannot get data set: Cannot get data set".
Could anybody help on this.

I'm already draging it from the query input port. Are you referring a different way? How I could have the input variables in the query which I'm creating using the BI integration wizard. To get this input variable I'm trying to add the input form.
Am I doing anything wrong here ?

How to get the input data on the arbitrary draw event ?

I'm trying to draw a histogram on a arbitrary parameter (just like the "Levels" effect). The draw part is well, but I have a problem with the input layer data (param[0]).
All I have to do now is read the input data on the arbitrary draw event. But there's not the input pointer on the draw event. So I called the PF_CHECKOUT_PARAM() function to get the input data, and it works!
When I test in AE, I created a layer A, and added some color correction effects to the layer A before added my effect to the layer A. The problem is the input layer my effect read is not the result of previous effects I applied before.
Has anyway to read the latest input data in the arbitrary events ?

In another way, I created a sequence data like this:

my_sequence_data.histograms is an array with in_data->total_time / in_data->time_step items initialized during the sequence setup.
During the render call, I cached the calculated histogram at this current_time to the sequence->histograms[in_data->current_time / in_data->time_step], set the didRender = true.
In this way, I have another problem with the AE cached image. I disabled a random previous effect on the effect panel, then the AE re-rendered my effect, the histogram changed (good). I enabled the effect again, and nothing change (bad )
I try to force the AE re-rendering after the custom UI changed ( I tried with the event_extraP->evt_out_flags = PF_EO_HANDLED_EVENT; and params[HISTOGRAM_UI]->uu.change_flags |= PF_ChangeFlag_CHANGED_VALUE; on the click, drag events...) but it seem not works!
Am I on the right way ?
