Comparing Quotations

Hi all,
In Price Comparision list,,,,is it possible to compare the RFQ's considering entire condition types, manual excise & vat values .
will the values of the above mentioned condition types, maual excise and VAT can be displayed duing the comparison.
regards,
urendra

HI,
RitiG has a good point, comparing the basic price should be sufficient if all vendors would have to be subject to the same delivery conditions etc.
Remember that in ME49 you have the flags that indicate that you want to consider "delivery costs", Discounts or have the "effective price" (Including cash discounts from the payment terms)
By using these and bearing in mind what RitiG said you should be able to get meaningful price comparisons.

  • ME49 - Compare Quotation

    Hi ALL,
I have mainatined Tax code in Maintain Quotation - ME41 but While i compare ...tax is not adding up and showing in ME49

    Hello,
Quotation comparison in standard SAP is on base price only. The logic is that the taxes should remain the same for all vendors and can be added on later. This is a drawback in scenarios where the tax rate changes with where the vendor is located.
Generally, custom reports/ forms are developed based on the data in ME47 and the comparison is done out of the system in such a scenario.
Please have a look at this thread, this has been discussed:
    Quotation comparison in SAP
However, if you are using BR localization, this feature is available.

    Hi Anup,
You can pick up all the quotation documents from EKKO , EKPO table. While picking consider the document type and category in EKKO as (RFQ).
In the documet item level, you can find out the tax code (MWSKZ) in EKPO table.
so for each material, you have a tax code at document item level and net price also available in EKPO table.
Pass this tax code and net price to Calculate_tax_from_Net_amount FM to get all the excise duites and VAT.
Process these internal tables. you will get the final output.
Note: This is a ERP Sales forum and the query is related to MM. Please post the query in concerned forums from next time onwards.

  • Price comparision in ECC 6.0

    Hi,
we are moving from 4.6 c to ecc 6.0.I am facing problem while comparing quotations. In 4.6 c,it is working fine but in ecc 6.0 giving an error.
I put the collective RFQ number in the initial screen while carrying out T-code ME49.
when i execute in get the message as ""Selected quotations not directly comparable""
I have maintained the prices in maintain quotation, but still i get in the field as ""quotation item not yet maintained "" in ME49.
Can anyone please suggest where am i going wrong and also whether any customiziing has to be carried out.
    Please help me ASAP.
    Thanks,
    Sateesh

    Dear Sat,
Then , just use ME4N, enter all your quotation number, and check if there any different material number among all the quoation. The concept is that we compare quotation with same material number, not with other material number.
You can try in ME49 by remove the quotation with different material number, supposed the error won't appear.

  • Why PR department can see invited vendor list for RFQ

I found that PR department can see invited vendor list for RFQ in PR Document Status tab.  In my company, invited vendor list should be kept confidential and only authorized persons can access.   As PR authorizatin control is not down to PR creator, this information may be disclosed to other non-related persons wihtin same purhasing group.   In SAP,  I would like to know the rationale to let the PR department know the RFQ vendors.    Moerover, I want to understand the current industrial practice on treating RFQ vendor list information so that I can make recommendation for senior review.   Thanks in advance

    Hi,
You issue well explained the 50% of solution. As you said importance for all organization to have secured and efficient authorization concept. Based on organizational structures and business processes an authorization matrix( is just working sheet) is very useful for to control all t.codes under Module / Business role specific.
    For example:
    Purchase Requisition (internal purchasing document) is a request by any department to purchasing department to supply material or provides service. Only here user(Mr.X) in department create PR(ME51N) and Department head (Mr.Y) release (ME54N)the Purchase Requisition(PR). For change PR , you can use Mr.X and you can have another User ID Mr.Z { Mr.X, Mr.Y & Mr.Z should not have access for RFQ or PO details}
Once Purchase Requisition released, then its responsibility purchasing organisation or respective purchasing group (buyer) , start work on determining source by sending Request for quotation(RFQ,ME41) to different vendors by Mr.A. Once all quotation received, you can maintain quotation in ME47 by user Mr.B. In vendor selection process, you can compare quotation in ME49 by user Mr.C.( also you can set approval process for Request for quotation ME45 by Mr.D) {Mr.A, Mr.B,Mr.C,Mr.D may have access on PR but no access on PO)
    Once Vendor decided, user (Mr.E) can create Purchase Order (PO )and then it will be released by Mr.F, so then only PO print send to vendor. {Mr.E & Mr.F have access on PR & PO}
Likewise you should have different users for authorisation based on role in inventory management ( Mr. G can receive goods, Mr.H can have authorisation for Excises, Mr.J can have issuing goods)

  • Picking the right quoattion and the value should show in PO

    Dear All,
When comparing quotations the CST and VAT applicable Suppliers where VAT may be Cenvatable or Not and CST is not Cenvatable .After maintaining comparision in quotations it has to pick the right supplier quotation depending on which condition type and should show in the PO as Non Deductable Tax.
It should differenciate with the Cenvatable amount and Non Cenvatable amount which should show in PO
Please suggest me which are all Condition types with Controal data should i Difine in my Pricing Procedure.
    Thanks,
    Tiru

    Hi,
VAT and CST comes from Tax Procedure and depends on the Tax Code which you maintain in RFQ in ME41. You can see Taxes in ME47, select line item And click menu Item > More functions > Taxes
And once you finalise the quotation and go for PO creation w.r.t. RFQ, it copies the Tax Code automatically in PO. You can see "Taxes" under "Invoice" tab at item details level in PO.

  • Reg MM business process flow

    Hi All,
Cud U pls let me know the business process flow in MM( Material Management )???
    Thanx in Advance

    Hi
Generally any P2P cycle to start with the Requirement arises in the Industry so it starts with for stock materials
    (1) Purchase Requisition (PR)
    (2) Requst for quotaion (RFQ)
    (3) Maintain Quoatation (after recieving quoattion from different vendors)
    (4) Comparing Quotation (to select the best suitable vendor for purchasing the materials)
    (5) Purchase Order (PO)
    (6) Goods Reciept (GR)
    (7) Invoice Verification (IVR) comparing the items and cost in the invoice with the PO and GR we will clear it for payment where vendor will be credited.
This is the general flow of P2P for stock materials. If we maintain source list (vendor records) we can compare the different vendors available at PR it self and thje steps 2,3,4 will not be there if we satisfy with the vendor prices available in the source list.
If the P2P is for services In step 6 instead of GR we will do Service Entry.
For details about from step 1 to 5 you can found documents in

  • Netweaver and Tendering with shipments

    Hi,
I have problem which I need more background information how to solve it.
We make shipments and deliveries when transporting goods from consolidation points to end customer. Tendering Tab in shipment is not so familiar for me. I have now resolved that we can make freight cost shipment and transportation order for one shipment, but how that Tendering Tab works with Netweaver? If we send request of quotation from shipment into Netweaver and our TSP have rights to Netweaver and they make actions there how it show into shipment? Or have in SAP some other transactions how to tender transportation costs and comparing quotations between different TSP's.
    Thanks for the answers already!

SAP don't recommend directly access to the database tables, you need to use the functions modules called RFC and BAPI to access and change data into SAP System.
