Hi Raju
Instead you can just restrict dependent enrolled with this year and next year...So you will have two columns, first one restricting dependent value for this year and second column restricting dependent value for next year..
Hope this helps

  • Comparison Sales report by period

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to figure out how to create a report for which I have sales figues for one quarter compared to another quarter and then have these compared to the previous year?
In other words the report should look like this
                                1st Quarter 2009    |  2nd Quarter 2009    |   % diff    |    1st Quarter 2008     |     2nd Quarter 2008   |  % diff
    Item 1
    Item 2
    Item 3

  • Comparison in reporting tools

    Hi All,
I have a question, that whenever we are presented with a requirement document to develop a report, how can we determine which is the best reporting tool which can be used.
    Regards,
    Ankur

    Hi,
'each worksheet essentially creates and runs a single SQL statement 'A Discoverer workbook is like an Excel and is made up of a number of worksheets. When the user runs a worksheet Discoverer builds an SQL statement and sends this to the database. The results returned from the database are then displayed. Each worksheet can run a single SQL statement so you cannot have separate SQL for example, for header and body, you must combine all the data you want in the worksheet into a single query.
'With Reports 6i each report can run many SQL Statements and the results can be formated in anyway you like'.In Reports 6i you can create many queries within a report, so for example you can have master and detail queries. So can use the master query to display the header records and the detail query for the records under the heading. You can layout and format the results on page anyway you want, so for example, so can format one field based on the content in another field.
Is it somehow performance based difference also? Both the tools run SQL in the database, so if the SQL is the same then you will get much the same performance. If the data returned in Discoverer workbook is the same as the data in the Reports 6i report then they can use the same SQL, so you won't see any performance difference.

  • Opening HyperLinked Files contained in a database field Automatically alongwith Crystal Report

    Hi
I am using Crystal Report 2008. We have a database table which has Bill of Material for all the parts, the table also has additional field which contains LINK to PDF File (i.e. c:\PDFFiles\XPart.PDF) which is containing Part specifications. Now i am able to create a Hyperlink from this field and user is able to click on the field to open the file.
Is there a way, that all the associated linked files open automatically whenever a user previews this report.Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Shekhar

You can achieve the desired behavior by adding a UFL (User unction library) that includes a function for triggering and passing parameters ot a different process.
At least one of the 3rd-party UFLs listed at Crystal Reports viewer comparison, Crystal Reports scheduler comparison and other utilities ( viewer and scheduler compa… provides such a function.
You would then be able to add Crystal formulas that result in opening linked documents as a byproduct of previewing the report.

  • Cash Flow Report (FSI3/FSI5) pulling double value

    Dear SAP Experts
    I am creating a Cash Flow Statement via FSI3 /FSI5. While selecting key figure "Total Credit Postings" system is pulling the double values for the assigned GL. Please see below;
    Please see the output.
GL total credit value is 269610.68 where as report is showing value 539221, which is double the value.
Any suggestions to correct the error??
    Regards
    Syed Zia Abbas

    Hi Melia
For your calculation, you can cross check your logic with actual values form table and  see why it is not matching in case of INCORRECT amount.
Cash Flow is genuinely generated per Fiscal year and that will show the comparison of Reporting year (For Ex Current Year) with comparison year (For Ex Last Year).
    As a correct solution, you can give selection parameter as below;
    Reporting Year
    Reporting Pd From
    Reporting Pd To
    Comparison Year
    Comparison Pd From
    Comparison Pd To.
That is the way I have created CFS. Let me know if you need more info.

  • Will BW indexing help Webi reports performance

    Hi Experts,
    Environment
    BO Version:4.1 SP3
    Reporting Database:BW 7.4 sp3
Recently we have applied the OSS note :. 0001898395 so that we enabled index on the master data.
We have applied the note and had the index on the 0profit_ctr in the Infoobject: 0mat_plant.
Reports are fast in BEX side but there is no difference in webi reports performance.
Our opinion is if BEx performance is increased obviously WEbi performance also should increase.
    Please post your experiences..
    Thank you,,

Several things will affect the report speed. Note that there are two halves to it - the data source fetch time and the report render time.
Data source fetch time is the time that it takes for all the data to be returned. BO will always look slower than the native tool because the native tool starts spooling out results as soon as it retrieves the first one - the more data returned, the slower BO will look by comparison.
Report render time will depend upon the number and complexity of variables as well as the number of rows returned.
Reducing the volume of data with correct aggregations and filters rather than summing and filtering at report level are the two best ways to improve performance without database/universe access.

  • CIF comparison/reconciliation

    Hai,
I found in the release notes for SCM 4.1 that "the CIF comparison/reconciliation of transaction data (delta report) can be checked". I also found other things like checking the CVCs and CIF data for consistency. How do these work? I understood that it checks the validity and consistency of the Master and Transaction data.  I am not completely clear with this. Can somebody explain me what it means and any transactions used for it?
Here is where I found it:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm41/helpdata/en/28/b34c40cc538437e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    Page 165.
I appreciate if anyone can refer me any documentation.
    Thank you.

    Hi Visu,
The transaction for CIF comparison/reconciliation is /SAPAPO/CCR.
For details please see help.sap.com. At high level CIF Comparison/ reconcilitation report is used to compare the transaction (orders, stocks, PIRs) data between APO and connected R3 / ERP system. Please note timeseries data or master data is not compared.
After comparison the report displays the differences and gives you an option to reconcile the differences. You can try reconciling the differences after making sure the root cause of the differences (mostly master data problems) are taken care of.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

Hay even you can download XL-Reporter add on as it is free ware with SAP Business One and also download Generic Templates  as well as Country Specific Templates from

    In This Chapter
    Overview of XL Reporter
Creating a Report in Report Composer
    Saving Reports
Building XL Reporter Skills in Report Designer
Now that you have SAP® Business One up and running and understand the business logic, you will want to use the information SAP Business One holds to help you make informed decisions. Using XL Reporter, you can create customized views of information about your business activities that are as panoramic or as detailed as you desire.
Rather than reviewing 10 reports, a sales manager might want a dashboard that shows where sales opportunities are in the pipeline, the top 10 leads by the size of the deal, and a competitive analysis. A CEO might want summary information from reports in different modules (overall receivables, summary sales data, inventory reports, and, of course, the bottom line: a profit and loss summary). Or perhaps a dashboard with a series of "Top 10" reports such as top 10 open quotes, top 10 sales opportunities, top 10 orders, and so on.
With the XL Reporter tool, you can create all these reports and more. There's no end to what you can do with this tool. Whatever your business needs, you can use XL Reporter to tap the vast storehouse of data in SAP Business One and use that data to make informed decisions about how to make your company thrive and grow.
We've discussed a wide range of standard reports and highlighted many in this book. XL Reporter allows you to build on these standard reports or to create your own reports that meet the unique needs of your business and its mission.
    Overview of XL Reporter
XL Reporter, as the name suggests, is fully integrated with Microsoft Excel, giving you a familiar interface and allowing you to leverage existing skills when creating custom reports. It reports on live data, ensuring that your reports provide up-to-the-minute information from SAP Business One. You can view data in summary form and then drill down to the transaction level if desired.
XL Reporter provides sophisticated functionality, such as the ability to schedule report generation and delivery. Using XL Reporter, you can create everything from quick queries that answer a pressing question to custom dashboards for decision makers who need to be able to keep their fingers on the pulse of the business.
    Components of XL Reporter
XL Reporter consists of three modules: Report Composer, Report Designer, and Report Organizer.
Installation alert. XL Reporter is an add-on to SAP Business One, so it must be installed separately.
    Report Organizer
When you launch XL Reporter, you see Report Organizer, which has an interface that looks like Windows Explorer. It allows you to package, distribute, and organize the reports you create. It also allows you to add reports to the SAP Business One main menu.
    Report Composer
Report Composer's drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to start creating custom queries and reports right away. Even in this basic tool, however, your reports still provide drill-down functionality.
Reports you create with Report Composer can be printed, saved, and distributed. They can be formatted using Excel templates. You can then save these reports as report definitions and further enhance them using Report Designer.
    Report Designer
Report Designer uses Microsoft Excel as its interface. It combines the power of Microsoft Excel with XL Reporter tools, allowing you to create advanced reports and dashboards. Using Report Designer, you can create custom formulas and report layouts as well as view and execute finished reports.
The following table provides an at-a-glance comparison of Report Composer and Report Designer.
    Feature      Report Composer      Report Designer
Formatting      Basic (using predefined templates)      Advanced
Graphical reports      No graphics      Full charting and graphing offered by Microsoft Excel
    Filtering      Basic filtering      Extensive filtering
User interface      Work in Report Composer's simple drag-and-drop interface      Work directly in Microsoft Excel
File format of reports produced      Microsoft Excel      Microsoft Excel
    Custom dashboards      No      Yes
Training required      None; simple guided interface      Training resources available from SAP Business One Customer Portal
Ability to apply Microsoft Excel layout templates      Yes      Yes
Ability to combine Microsoft Excel functions with XL Reporter functions      No      Yes
    Who Uses XL Reporter?
Typically, one or two people at a company learn to use XL Reporter. XL Reporter users are often in the IT department, but they could be in accounting, sales, or another department with serious reporting requirements. You'll want to discuss your XL Reporter implementation with your implementation partner to address permissions issues. Permissions issues can be important because those who use XL Reporter must be authorized as a superuser in SAP Business One. If you want to use XL Reporter and do not have superuser access, you can set up a demo or test company where you can create reports that can be imported into the production company.

  • Storage bin Capacity utilization is greater than 100%

    Hi,
Via LS03N, I can found that some capacity utilization is greater than 100%, this must be incorrect, what's the reason? is there any report to update the capacity utilization for storage bin?
    Kindly please advise.
    Thanks

For the capacity checks, the remaining capacities or the used weight in the storage bin master data are updated with every putaway or picking. If you change the inspection method in the current operations or you change capacity or weight data of materials or storage unit types, you then need to make a comparison of the data. You can make this comparison with report RLS10200. First read the documentation before you start the report.

  • CASH FLOW per PERIOD

    Hi Gurus/Experts,
really need your help since i'm stuck in creating Report Painter for Cash Flow.
Below is the explanation of my case:
My requirement is to make report for Cash Flow periodically (or per month).
Already created Report Painter in FSI5 and Form in FSI1, and it's working. But, it's only giving the correct amount if only i generated Cash Flow Report on February, March, April and so on.
When i tried to generate Cash Flow for January, the amount isn't correct.
My speculation is because the different fiscal year that effect the increment value
    i.e
increase in AR (Feb) = AR balance in February 2015 - AR balance in January 2015  >>> CORRECT AMOUNT
increase in AR (Jan) = AR balance in January 2015 - AR balance in December 2014 >>> INCORRECT AMOUNT
Currently im using three columns and Period as variable definitions, such as: 1PF, 1PF-1, 1PF-2
    So, my question is:
    1. Could i create cash flow per period? Or we are only able to create CASH FLOW PER FISCAL YEAR as standard report in SAP (0SAPRATIO-04)?
    2. If i could create cash flow per period, where did i miss?
Already searching all threads, but i couldn't find the same problem.
    Need your advice, Gurus..
Please let me know if there's any queries.

  • Issues changing the database info at runtime

    Hi,
    My Environment:
    Crystal Reports 2008 SP2
    ASP.NET (VS 2005 Framework 2.0)
    Database: Oracle 10g
I developed the report connecting to development server and schema: ERA_USR. We have 2 reports that are desinged using store procedures and these stored procedure are put in a package both in system test and development database server.
When we moved to system testing, the reports that are using tables and views works fine. but the reports desinged using SPs are throwing below error: The schema is: ERA
"Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 6550 ] Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 6550 ] Failed to retrieve data from the database. Error in File ERRA Forecast Comparison - Position Report {3EAD55CB-4866-40D1-A9D7-DC0D5AFC924A}.rpt: Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 6550 ] "
But I change the report pointing to system test database, the reports that are desinged using SPs are working fine.
Please let me know what might be the problem
    Thanks
    Rama

If we change to new schema using designer, then the reports are working fine.
What I did is, I dropped the oracle package and compiled the SPs inidvidually. Now the report are working fine even if the SPs are in different schema and with out changing the report to the new schema in the desinger.
    This solved my problem.
    Thanks

  • Bad quality of images in preview mode

    Hello,
we have the problems after our project migrating from .NET Framework 1 (Visual Studio 2003) to .NET Framework 4.0 (VS 2010 and SAP Crystal Reports).
Report layouts contain Blob fields for images.
The problem is the quality of these images makes worse in comparison with reports generated by old project.
I tried to find the solution but I didn't. We can't use pictures or OLE objects instead of these fields because the list of images is created dynamically. Fields in report have less resolution than original images size, so CR compresses them.
    Thanks a lot,
    Nadiia

I don't have any other ideas. It may be worth considering creating a phone case here:

and get this investigated in more details and perhaps reported for a fix.

  • Updating 7.1.0 to 7.1.1 using msiexec /quiet fails

I need to roll-out patches 7.1.1 (and eventually 7.1.2 and 7.1.3) to our entire organization of 7.1.0.
I have two commands which I am testing:
    1. msiexec /quiet /patch 711.msp
    2. msiexec /patch 711.msp
I need to use command 1. as I do not want my users to be faced with any installation GUI's. However after running the first command Reader's Help/About screen reports it as still being 7.1.0 (although Add/Remove Programs reports it as being version 7.1.1).
Furthermore, I use a directory/file comparison tool (binary comparison) it reports the contents of the ...Program Files/Adobe as being no different to before having applied the 7.1.1 update using command 1. from above.
So, it seems, when I add the /quiet switch (or /qn or /passive which I also tried) the only thing which is actually updated is the version number for Reader in 'Add/Remove Programs' but not any of the files themselves.
When I use command 2 from above none of these issues are demonstrated - Help/About in Reader reports it correctly as being version 7.1.1 and my directory/file comparison tool shows changes to a number of .dll's and .api' and other files.
For some reason, whenever I add /quiet or /qn or /passive the update is not being applied.
I have attached the log file outputs (by adding the /log switch to the above two commands). They are both greatly different and they both report a successful patch.
Please note I have tried this on a number of different machines and I do not believe this issue to be isolated to our SOE.
    Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry - I made a mistake attaching the two log files.
command_1.txt is actually the log file for msiexec /update 711.msp
command_2.txt is actually the log file for msiexec /update 711.msp
