COMPENSATION MGMT
can we upload budget values in enterprise compensation mgmt without using BSP or configuring Personnel cost planning.pcp is configured by finance guys?
Pl take a look at HR_ECM_CHANGE_BUDGET_VALUE & use it as a template to build a custom function module that modifies the budget values.. PCP can be done by the HR analysts too..
You might also open a OSS message & seek SAP's help/clarification on this issue..

have you done migration from the compensation to enterprise compensation ?
In the help document , it states "for more info, see also the related section in the release note of Enterprise Compensation Mgmt ".

SPWhat version are you on? ECM was introduces in 47 ext2 & this is the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/2d/193bb5928881479cad1557aa5bc6b8/content.htm">Release Note.</a> for it. As far as I know, the config for ECM has to be done from scratch, don't know if you can migrate from CM to ECM.. may be the Budgeting part.. but the Admin part like the review,plans,items etc have to be redone.. three new infotypes have been introduced.. but I believe CM & ECM can co-exist..

I hope so all are doing well,i have a scenario in implementation,the scenario belongs to appraisal results.In PD apprisal results should effect on the basic pay(0008 IT),it should be through compensation management(merit increase).
If we take an example.. one employee get 8%(apprisal rating)..This 8% should effect on basic pay for merit increament.
where we can do this part in compensation management,i hope so the question is clear,if not ping me once,i will give an explist explainsation on my question.

You can set-up your matrix catalog wherein your dimension is Appraisal, then your entry values is percent.
This is how your matrix value will look like (example)
Dimension Percent
Excellent 12%
Very Good 10%
Good 8%
Poor 0%
This wil serve as your guidelines.
So when you process compensation management after apply guidelines to the employee, the increase amount will then be refelcted in Infotype 380, upon activation the increase amount will be added to the basic pay of the employee.

Enterprise Compensation Mgmt and workflow
Hi Experts,
Is there any possibility for a workflow in ECM? It should be triggered when the planning manager 'submits' the planning via MSS. Then the approver should receive an ordinary email or a workitem in the UWL that there is something waiting for approval. The same when the approver approves or rejects the planning manager should be informed.
Any ideas how this can be realized?

I am facing below issue in ECM compensation in EHP4
1. ECM_Create Workflow is triggered by the report RHECM_NOTIFY_MANAGERS but the issue is in my case notification is send to one level up org unit manager whereas i am providing the sub level org unit .
2.ECM_Submitt workflow is not triggering an event when the compensation plan is submitted for an Employee. The configuration for the user interface settings is complete. even tried to put the external debugger in the class CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT in the method RAISE_COMPENSATION_NOTIFICATION but system is not stopping at the debugger and directly updated the records in info type 759 with submit status without triggering the event.
please advise.

We are currenlty unsing Compensation Management on 4.6c. We are going to upgrade to ECC6.0 and want to use Enterprise Compensation Management. Can configuration of Compensation Management of 4.6c be reused or do we have to Configure ECM from scratch?

A: Most of the functionality of old and new Compensation can be used
in parallel in the same system. The two modules use different
database tables, transactions, and Portal iViews. But there are a
few restrictions concerning integration of the LTI application with
other modules. The following functionality can only be used for
either PA-EC or PA-CM:
a) Payroll of LTI exercises (payroll function XLTI)
b) Display of LTI in the Total Compensation Statement
c) Stock Option Accounting (accruals for costs caused by LTI
exercises)
This functionality reads data from PA-EC, if the flag 'Switch for
Activating Enterprise Compensation Mgmt' in the IMG step 'Activate
Enterprise Compensation Management' is set. Otherwise, it reads the
data of PA-CM. -

For personal management
infotypes start with PA 0000 TO 0999
TIME MANAGEMENT PA2001 TO 2999
ORG MANAGEMENT HRP 1000 TO 1999
ERECRUITMENT PB4000 TO PB4999
ESS,MSS,TRVALEMGMT.COMPENSATION MGMT ETC
Get the basic idea of the HR programming structure..
Get used to the usage of Macros and Function modules and get the idea in which situations , what is being used..
Important ting is the Time constraints and how they are used to control the data in infootypes.
Then the basic transctions like PA20,PA40,PA70,PM01 etc..
Then go to Payroll Programing..
Learn how to read data from the clusters u need..work areas u use etc...
Go for pc_payresults tcode..

I want to implement "Time Sheet approval" in MSS and I read that it is available as a webdynpro application under the Workset "Team" which should have certain service links in the navigation panel one of which is "Approve Working Times" but the thing is that I do see various overview iviews under the workset but I don't see the service links...how can I get that working ....also how do I configure Time Approval using standard workflow.

In the standard MSS role, you should see:
Manager Self Service (role)

>Team (webdynpro proxy page)
> Employee information (folder)

Are you SURE you copied all of this over and have that folder structure? Also, if you open the TEAM (webdynpro proxy page) object (go to it via the delta-link tracer in the role, then select the item in the tracer and pick "show in catalog" to find it and open it).....from the "Display" drop down (next to the row of buttons at the top of the edit screen) pick "Dynamic Navigation". This will show you the "Services" iView. This "Services" iview is what shows all those folders (under the TEAM page in the role laout) as items in the detailed navigation panel. The folder is the "subsection" title and the items in the folder are the actual links (like the "Approve Time Sheet Data" one under the Employee Working Times folder. -

To Delete subtype of Infotype 1050 (Job Evaluation Results); please go to the node
SPRO >> Personnel Mgmt >> Compensation Mgmt >> Job Pricing >> Job Evaluation Data >> Define Job Evaluation Methods and select the Subtype that you want to delete.....
Once you opt for deletion, a dialog box will be popped up suggesting deletion of all entries.....Select 'all entries'..
and now go to PP01 and check the Job Evaluation Results Infotype for the Job and you will find that it doesnt appear anymore...

Hi Experts,
My client is planning to go for Compensation Management module.
Now with Talent Management EHP-6/7 Compensation is falling under Talent Management which is a built in functionality.
Client does not have any Compensation Management in Play.
They have only 2 components of:
Incentive given to emplopyee per year,Bonus per year & salary survey, in this situation which would be a better solution to follwo.
My question here is whether we should go for conventional Compensation managent or Enterprise Compensation Management.

I am using the Order Analysis Toolkit and want to get more information about the compensation for "Reference Signal Processing", which is scarce in the manuals, the website and the examples installed with the toolkit.
In particular, I am analyzing the example "Even Angle Reference Signal Processing (Digital Tacho, DAQmx).vi", whose documentation I am reproducing in the following:
<B>DESCRIPTIONS</B>:
This VI demonstrates how to extract even angle reference signals and remove the slow-roll errors. It uses DAQmx VIs to acquire sound or vibration signals and a digital tachometer signal. This VI includes a two-step process: acquire data at low rotational speed to extract even angle reference; use the even angle reference to remove the errors in the vibration signal acquired at normal operation.
<B>INSTRUCTIONS</B>:
1. Run the VI.
2. On the <B>DAQ Configurations</B> tab, specify the <B>sample rate</B>, <B>samples per channel</B>, device and channel configurations, and tachometer channel information.
<B>NOTE</B>: You need to use DSA PXI-447x/PXI-446x and PXI TIO device in a PXI chassis to run this example. The DSA device must be in slot 2 of the PXI chassis.
3. Switch to <B>Extract Even Angle Reference</B> tab. Specify the <B>number of samples to acquire</B> and the <B># of revs in reference</B> which determines the number of samples in even angle reference. Click <B>Start</B> to take a one-shot data acquisition of the vibration and tachometer signals. After the acquisition, you can see the extracted even angle references in <B>Even Angle Reference</B>.
4. Switch to the <B>Remove Slow-roll Errors</B> tab. Click <B>Start</B> to acquire data continuously and view the compensate results. Click <B>Stop</B> in this tab to stop the acquisition.
<B>ORDER ANALYSIS VIs USED IN THIS EXAMPLE</B>:
1. SVL Scale Voltage to EU.vi
2. OAT Digital Tacho Process.vi
3. OAT Get Even Angle Reference.vi
4. OAT Convert to Even Angle Signal.vi
5. OAT Compensate Even Angle Signal.vi
My question is: How is the synchronization produced at the time of the compensation ? How is it possible to eliminate the errors in a synchronized fashion with respect to the surface of the shaft bearing in mind that I am acquired data at a low rotation speed in order to get the "even angle reference" and then I use it to remove the errors in the vibration signal acquired at normal operation. In this application both operations are made in different acquisitions, therefore the reference of the correction signal is lost. Is it simply compensated without synchronizing ?
Our application is based on FPGA and we need to clarity those aspects before implementing the procedure.
