    I tried to compile DNG SDK with GCC, but I got stuck to the following error message:
    ... dng_flags.h:33:28: error: RawEnvironment.h: No such file or directory ...
    In other words, it seems that file 'RawEnvironment.h' is missing. I cannot find this file from DNG SDK or XMP SDK. Do you know where I could find this file or do you know how to compile DNG SDK with GCC?

    Please define either qMacOS or qWinOS (i.e., in your list of preprocessor defines). As you can see in line 32 of dng_flags.h this is required.

  • Pro C with gcc?

    Hi,
    I am trying to use gcc for Windows as a compiler for Pro C precompiled programs. The program complies ok but when I try to link it , there's an error that it can't find the file or directory.
    The sintax used to link is as follows:
    gcc -o test.o -lC:\oracle\ora9i\precomp\lib\mvsc\oraSQL9.LIB
    I tried to use gcc under Unix and I get the same error.
    Can somebody help me with that?

  • Compiling sample driver with gcc

    I want to build "sst" sample scsi driver provided with the Solaris Device Driver Kit in Intel plaform using gcc. Is it possible to do that?
    I tried to use gcc as I don't have a native CC compiler. When I used gcc, it was giving me errors saying "__builtin_va_alist" is undeclared. I declared it as extern in the driver file and compiled it. When I tried to load the driver using "add_drv sst", I got an error message saying that the driver is not attached. Running "devfsadm" gave me the same result. In /var/adm/messages, under Kernel.notice, it says undefined symbol for most of the scsi functions. like scsi_reset, and scsi_alloc_consistent_buf and others and also for __builtin_va_alist. Finally it says. mod_load:cannot load module:sst.
    I was told by somebody that he could build the same driver using gcc in Sparc and ran it and never faced this problem of undefined functions.

    I tried that, but still the same error exists. The options that I have included for compiling my driver are copied below:
    gcc -I(My incldue dirs) -ffreestanding -D__arch64 -D_SYSCALL32 -D_SYSCALL32_IMPL -D_ELF64 -D__sparcv8cpu -DSYSACCT -DC2_AUDIT -D_KERNEL -c -o sparc/obj64/CommonFunctions.o CommonFunctions.c
    and I get the following error:
    when I include sys/varargs.h

    I am trying to compile with the CVI library using the cygwin/gcc compiler.
    When I link in c:/cvi/extlib/cvisupp.lib
    I get the following errors:

  • Using "long double" with gcc

    I want to use long doubles (quad, 128-bit floating point variables) in C. I thought the following program would do it:

    But the program returns garbage when compiled and run with:

    I can't really help you much there. Maybe you should think about what you are doing and what you really need. I doubt you really need 128 bits. In Apple's Documentation it says:
    -m96bit-long-double
    -m128bit-long-double
    These switches control the size of long double type. The i386 application binary interface specifies the size to be 96 bits, so -m96bit-long-double is the default in 32 bit mode. Modern architectures (Pentium and newer) would prefer long double to be aligned to an 8 or 16 byte boundary. In arrays or structures conforming to the ABI, this would not be possible. So specifying a -m128bit-long-double will align long double to a 16 byte boundary by padding the long double with an additional 32 bit zero.
    In the x86-64 compiler, -m128bit-long-double is the default choice as its ABI specifies that long double is to be aligned on 16 byte boundary.
    Notice that neither of these options enable any extra precision over the x87 standard of 80 bits for a long double.
    Warning: if you override the default value for your target ABI, the structures and arrays containing long double variables will change their size as well as function calling convention for function taking long double will be modified. Hence they will not be binary compatible with arrays or structures in code compiled without that switch.

    I'm trying to compile c-programs with gcc installed with the xtools from the tiger 1.4.8-cd on my system. For the first step I tried a "Hello World" program.
    When I compile it with 'gcc HelloWorld.cpp' on a linux system I get a a.out, and this is the program, that tells me "Hello World!".
    When I try
    "me$ gcc HelloWorld.cpp"
    on my MacBook, then I get the error message
    "/usr/bin/ld: Undefined symbols:
    __gxx_personalityv0
    collect2: ld returned 1 exit status"
    What is wrong on my system?
    Can anyone please help me to solve this problem?

    Name the file HelloWorld.c; .cpp is for C++. If you want to compile C++, use g++, which links to the proper libraries for C++.

    Compiling Apache 1.3 with gcc on linux or unix? If you are using unix, I would be compiling with cc and not gcc. You have gcc set to compile using regular expressions and I believe that has to be specified during SunOS install as posix compliant.

    As I said it works on Red Hat 3.0.
    I want to compile it on Red Hat ES 2.1.

    The performance of pari compiled with gcc 4.2.0 is terrible. I've tried it with '-O3 -fast' and without this flags with the same result.

    Here are the compiler options I used to compile it with gcc4.

    I've tried to compile kdegraphics-3.2.2 with gcc-3.4 without succes, even after changing things in the PKGBUILD file. Just before I gave up I found this patch :-)

    I've downloaded the attachment and renamed it to 'v3.2.2-with-gcc-3.4.patch'.

    make it an bug report

  • Problems with GCC version - compiling OpenOffice

    I am trying to compile OpenOffice 4.1.1 to run on 10.6.8. When I run the ./configure it runs for a few seconds then shows the following error:
    "checking the GNU gcc compiler version... configure: error: found version "1.0.2", use version 3+ of the gcc compiler"
    If I run:
    gcc -v
    I get:
    gcc version 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5659)
    Any ideas on how to fix this?

    I suppose the real incentive is to be able to just continue using 10.6. But it seems from other feedback that the problem with OpenOffice 4.1 is dependencies on libraries in 10.7, rather than the GCC version. I know that I could probably eventually code around those dependencies, but it would certainly involve more time and effort than I am currently able to devote to it.
    I have tried LibreOffice in the past, but frankly I found it so horrible and slow (I think because of its dependency on Java) that I ended up using the X11 version of OpenOffice - which in itself was not a terrific user experience, but was a lot better than the alternative.
    I will try the version you have mentioned, but I also note that this is planned to be obsolete by May next year, and is also the last version that will support 10.6 or 10.7 (10.8 will be the lowest requirement). Which will leave a fair number of 64-bit intel machines unsupported, since some of those are only able to run 10.7. Thanks for the feedback.

    I found a solution by installing an older version of gcc ( 4.4.5 ) and I can compile now mame,
    it's a known problem about gcc and mame, the source code is not compatible with gcc 4.7.2 ( and even with some older releases ) :
