Kdegraphics-3.2.2 needs a patch to compile with gcc-3.4

Hi,
I've tried to compile kdegraphics-3.2.2 with gcc-3.4 without succes, even after changing things in the PKGBUILD file. Just before I gave up I found this patch :-)
Patch can be found here:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48596
I've downloaded the attachment and renamed it to 'v3.2.2-with-gcc-3.4.patch'.
Just add the following line in PKGBUILD after 'cd $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver'
patch -p3 < ${startdir}/v3.2.2-with-gcc-3.4.patch

make it an bug report

  • Urgent Solution needed--Problem in JSP compilation with JDK 1.5 and JDK 1.6

    Hi,
    I m using JDK 1.5 and Tomcat 5.0 the problem is that after starting server when I m going to access my application at that time instead of displaying HomePage it directly display the blank page on screen.
    After analyzing tomcat log I have found that there was a problem with JSP page compilation.
    The exception logged in Tomcat Log is given below

    After getting this kind of error I have analyzed my code furhter then I came to know that there was problem with static include tag.
    In my jsp page I have used following line which is the main cause of error
    <%@ include file="top.jsp" %>If I ommit this line then it is working properly.
    Instead of static include I have used jsp:include also.
    Still I m getting same problem.
    We have to migrated from JDK 1.5 to 1.6 and Tomcat 5.0.28 to 6.0.14, still same problem is there.
    We have tried a lot but didnt get success to overcome this problem.
    If anybody having any solution then ur each reply will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance..........!!!!!!!

    Hi "mshanu" and "amit" Thanks for ur replies Here I m posting the code of "top.jsp"........!!!!
    <%@ page errorPage="errordisplay.jsp"%>
    <table cellpadding="0"
           cellspacing="0"  height=50 width=780>
           <tbody>
             <tr class="header">
               <td class="logo"><IMG SRC="assets/Logo.gif" BORDER=0 ALIGN=top></td>
               <td align="right"><span class="applicationtitle"><%@ include file="/contents/logo.htm" %></span><br>
               <span class="companyname"><%@ include file="/contents/companyname.htm" %></span></td>
             </tr>
            </tbody>
    </table>To include top.jsp I have tried
    <jsp:include page="top.jsp" flush="true">
    </jsp:include>
             AND
    <%@ include file="top.jsp"%>but none of this worked.
    If I remove the include then It is working properly.
    But I need inluded file too so that I am wondoring for the solution.
    This problem seems very wiered to me. I dont know why it is happening.
    This problem is started only when I used the TOMCAT 6.14.
    Is it the bug of TOMCAT 6.14 or What somebody Plz help.
    I got stuck here.........!!!!!!!!!!
    It doesn't seem any problem with top.jsp. As per my thinking the problem is there in include due to that it doesn't compile the JSP page in Tomcat 6.0.
    Earlier I am having same code running on the Tomcat 5.0.28 and JDK 1.5.0.
    But problem occured when I have used Tomcat 6.x...!!

    Your system is missing a couple DLLs that LR needs, but the fix at Adobe is to copy them to the LR folder which gets replaced for each install, so you have to redo it after each LR install.  It would be worth documenting the process and saving the DLLs so you don’t have to ask about it each time:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/error-unable-start-correctly-0xc00007b.html
    You might also use the AIO210 program to add them as detailed in this YouTube video—maybe this is a more permanent fix, but since the files are from media-fire be very careful about what you do so as not to install a virus on your computer.
    I’d scan the downloaded ZIP you download with whatever virus and internet security software you have and don’t be fooled by extraneous popups you might see during the download process.  I was able to download the aio210.zip after authorizing one Captcha window and closed at least one bogus popup trying to get me to install other software.  I also scanned the downloaded zip with two virus scanners and both said it was clean.  Here is the YouTube video, where the link to the ZIP to download is in the description once you expand it:

    in addition to checking windowsudpate.log (usually found at c:\windows), you should also check the ConfigMgr client logs (usually found at c:\windows\ccm\logs, or, c:\windows\system32\ccm\logs)

    Moderator Advice:
    Welcome to the OTN forums.
    This is your very first post to the forums, so before you go any further, a piece of advice:
    When you give your post a title of "Hi All" it does not tell anyone anything about what your inquiry might be.
    The topic title that you place onto each one of your posts is just as important as what you place into your post. It tells everyone whether they need to spend any time with it. It tells everyone whether you are worth spending time with, whether you will be able to understand what they type in a reply, how technical they can be in a response.
    These are technical forums. They are not chat rooms for casual feel-good gatherings. They are not `blogs`. The site is also NOT a way to make contact to Oracle's technical support staff. The OTN community is from the entire globe and is from end-users that happen to have an interest in the topics you read here.
    Spend some time reading the forum FAQ,
    https://wikis.oracle.com/display/Forums/Forums+FAQ
    which is linked at the top corner of every page.
    Also, spend some time with the forums Terms Of Use
    http://www.oracle.com/us/legal/terms/index.html
    which is linked at the bottom of every page.
    In particular, spend some time reviewing section #6 in that T.O.U.
    When you make your posts more informative and easier to read then responses will be more helpful.
    ... now go back and edit your post. Change the title to something that better describes your actual question.

    You would think that Oracle should put a better release (for RHEL 3) at least one that is installable!
    But maybe you also should ask: is it ok to redistribute these patches? Is it ok to access these files without a support contract? (I don't have the details available but I'd guess that there are restrictions...)

  • I need to patch 9.3.1 to 9.3.3 - I can not find the list of patches ?

    Hi,
    I need to patch my hyperion 9.3.1 to 9.3.3, so that I can keep it ready to use much awaited 11.1.2 migration wizard.
    can you please let me know any doc/Url/pdf etc which tells me the patch numbers tobe applied for upgrading to 9.3.3 from 9.3.1
    Any help in this direction will be very helpful.
    thanks,
    Ankit

    thats correct..thanks.
    Is there a sequence to be followed to do this?
    If I have the following products installed on 9.3.1:
    1. HSS
    2.Essbase server
    3.EAS.
    4.Planning
    6. EIS
    7.DIM
    what sequence should be followed? - I understand HSS would be the firstone to go
    what services should be up or down when doing a particular component, as this wld be product by product patching?
    can this information be obtained from somewhere?
    thanks,

  • Need Shutdown Patch - X-Fi Titanium

    #I just installed X-Fi Titanium Pro on my dual boot XP/Win 7 machine.
    I need the patch or fix to resolve the shutdown lag issue.
    Using driver 2.7.0007.
    Tried using driver 2.8.003 but that would not detect my hardware (tried installing the fix that would supposedly resolve the Windows 7 hardware detection issue but that didn't work either.. this also didn't work in XP).
    The 2.7.0007 driver actually seems to function so would like to just use that plus whatever fix is available for the shutdown issue.
    Thanks.
    UPDATE - Well, no shutdown issues with driver 2.7.0007 in my XP partition.
    I just don't have any sound at all.
    This is awesome.

    UPDATE IV - WTF
    Ok, well by unstalling and reinstalling the driver for my Logitech G35 headset it SEEMED to solve the shutdown issue in my XP partition.
    I can get successful shutdowns if my headset is plugged in but ONLY if it is plugged in. Otherwise, it is waiting on G35 to shut down.
    This did not happen before I installed the X-Fi Soundblaster Pro Titanium sound card FYI - was able to shut down XP or Win7 partition with no problems whatsoever regardless of whether G35 headset was plugged in.
    This is getting weirder.
    I am going to try and disable the G35 program on startup in msconfig - it shouldn't need it unless I actually plug in my headset which isn't all the time.

  • VNC 4.0 patch to build on gcc 3.4 --almost there

    please scroll down to my latest post to view the patch and explanation.  I cannot get Xvnc to compile, but I am able to get the base RealVNC to work.  please help if you can
    RealVNC  has released VNC 4.0...I would like to see the arch package updated as well.
    according to their website, they changed their build process to be "cleaner"...

    I compiled it successfully, and even made a pkgfile -- but I can not figure out how to compile Xvnc with it.   It appears as if they are asking for a piece of the XFree86 distribution in the readme.  This patch is the furthest I've gotten (i am able to use x0vncserver -- nad it's awesome)
    can someone figure out how to build Xvnc?
    http://standsolid.com/arch_forums/vnc-gcc34.patch
    hey, thanx a lot for the patch - i can build vnc 4.0 now without trouble, great!
    i'm going to update it in extra and have decided to exclude Xvnc out of the vnc pkg
    Xvnc 4.0 is NOT longer in the vnc pkg
    why?
    README wrote:
    Building Xvnc
    =============
    Building Xvnc and the VNC support for native X servers is much more complex.
    If you don't need to build it, skip to the section below on installing.
    Xvnc differs from the other programs in that it is built inside the X source
    tree.  Unlike previous versions of Xvnc, we do not provide an X source tree
    with this distribution.  We have designed the distribution to be as independent
    as possible of the X tree used.
    We have successfully used XFree86 version 4.3.0, 4.2.0 and 3.3.6 (available
    from http://www.xfree86.org).  You could also try the original X.org tree
    available from http://www.x.org but this does not build as easily because of
    lack of support for C++, no support for building server only, and other issues.
    Note that the X tree is enormous and notoriously difficult to deal with -
    building it is not for the faint-hearted!
    Once you have a copy of the X source tree, make sure it is unpacked at the top
    level of this distribution, so that the xc directory of the X source tree
    matches the xc of this distribution, for example:
      % tar xzf X420src-1.tgz
    Then you must apply a patch to some files in the X source tree:
      % patch -Np0 <xc.patch
    If this works, you should be able to build the entire X tree, including Xvnc:
      % cd xc
      % make World
    This will take a long time, and will quite probably fail for one reason or
    another!  If you are having trouble, we suggest you try to build the X tree in
    isolation first before attempting it with the VNC additions.
    If successful, in the xc/programs/Xserver directory you should find an Xvnc
    binary, plus the native X server binary(ies) for your platform with VNC support
    compiled in.  If you are building from an XFree86 version 4 tree on a supported
    platform, you should also find a vnc.so module in
    xc/programs/Xserver/vnc/modules.
    Exactly which X extensions and features are built into Xvnc and the native X
    server binary is determined by the settings in xc/config/cf.  The file vnc.def
    contains the settings we use to build our binary distributions.  You may need
    to edit this and the other files as appropriate.

    Help needed I updated my ipad2 with iOS5 but few of my dashbaords (HTML5) are not working now ,can any one let me know how to downgrade the OS as we have a meeting coming up .. its urgent

    Downgrading the iOS is not supported. If you are using Safari this try clearing its cache via Settings > Safari.
    If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
