Compiling c code

Hi,
I want to compile old code I found on the web using Flascc.  This code seems to be developed with an older version of Alchemy since I get compile errors on AS3_ByteArray_readBytes, AS3_Val, ....  I am not able to find an older Alchemy version.  I guess the AS3 functions have been refactored?  Is there a page available which describes the differences between Flascc and older Alchemy versions?
Thanks a lot
Best regards,
Ivan
P.S.: This is the code which I try to build to create a swf:

I have gone thru the core dump . It seems that the compilation needs additional run time .SO.
I had setup LD_LIBRARY_PATH properly. FYII don't know what any of this is supposed to mean. Compilation doesn't use run time .so libraries. Execution does that.
At this point it would make sense if you posted the actual exception message and stack trace you got. Instead of theorizing in advance of the data.

    I'm confronted with the following error of this code.

    The exception appears only when the system gets high-load.
    Is there work-arounds?
    I've tried also with jdk1.5.0_06, but the same error occurred.
    Converting the inner class to a top-level class has no effects.

  • Error while running compiled java code

    Hi
    I have an evaluation license of the JDeveloper2.0 installed on my WindowsNT 4.0 workstation.
    I seem to have a problem running my compiled jave code. After compiling the source code(.java file) when I try to run the same I get a message saying
    "<FileName> not found in outpath classpath or sourcepath ".
    What does this mean and how can I rectify it?
    Regards
    Sree

    Your classpath tells Java run time where to look for the class files it needs. In JDeveloper the class path is set in your project properties. Select Project->Properties and check that the source and output paths correspond to your myprojects and myclasses directories.

    hi! I'm from brasil
    this code is of the book "The Java Native Interface Programmer's Guide and Specification"

    when I compile this code I get the following error:

    As a guess you are compiling it as C++. But it is written as C.

  • Not Able  to Compile Java code

    Hi Java Gurus
    I am not able to compile this code Pl help
    class For {
    public static void main (String [] args) {
    int I = 0;
    show:
         if (I < 2) {
    System.out.print("I is " + I);
    I++;
    continue show;
    }

    class For {
    public static void main (String [] args) {
          for(int i = 0; i < 2; i++){
                  System.out.print("I is " + i);
    }this does the same as your program: the for loop is the best for this, but i agree with the others read some tutorials on loops in java. As posted before java has no concept of the GoTo syntax, loops or recursion are your only options

  • Help required in compiling Java Code.

    I have java1.6 installed on my PC but I want to compile my code in such a way that
    it will run on PCs with lower versions of java installed.
    I am not using any feature specific to java1.6 in my program.
    I am using Netbeans IDE 6.1
    Thanks in advance.

    calypso wrote:
    Im not 100% sure of this but I would of thought a program will compile on any version of java as long as you dont use classes that are exclusive to higher version of java
    for example i would think if you comiled the helloworld tutorial on v.1.6 it will run on computers with lower versions.
    However a program which uses the scanner class (i think exclusive to 1.6 or 1.5 not sure though) will not run on say 1.2
    CalypsoIve tested to run an complied class(version 1.6) on an computer with jre 1.5 installed(before), and it doesnt work. Dont remember precisly the error but it didnt run atleast.

  • JDeveloper 10.1.2.1 won't compile my code?

    Hi,
    I'm pretty new to JDeveloper, and Java in general.
    I've just downloaded and tried to run JDeveloper 10g (10.1.2.1.0, Build 1913) and I've having problems.
    When the application loads, I get a dialog message titled "Java Virtual Machine Launcher", with the message "Could not find the main class. Program will exit"
    JDeveloper then finishes loading.
    I've knocked up a quick JSP page, but it won't compile. I get the message "Internal compilation error, terminated with a fatal exception."
    Also, I've notived that if I go to Project Properties and try to look at Profiles->Development->Libraries, JDeveloper throws a NullPointerException.
    I've got JDeveloper 10.1.3 on my machine, and it has none of these problems?
    After looking around on the web, I'm thinking it might be a CLASS_PATH problem, but how can I confirm this, and how can I fix it?
    Any ideas on what is wrong would be appreciated?
    Thanks
    Thom

    Thanks thahn.
    That fixed the "Java Virtual Machine Launcher" error - I would never have thought spaces in the directory name could have caused this problem!
    The other problems remain though, so I still can't compile any code.

  • Compile c code with makefile

    i have the source code for a program on my mac and i dont really know how to compile it.
    it has a makefile and all of the sources but i dont really know how to compile it
    the source code is at this website
    http://bcrypt.sourceforge.net/
    how do i compile the code on os x
    ?

    Hi--
    First off, you have to have the developer tools installed. You can download the latest version at Apple's Developer web site:
    http://developer.apple.com/products/online.html
    Or, there will be an appropriate version for your OS located on the DVD or CD that contains your OS installation.
    Since your code has a makefile, you simply need to open the Terminal application and change into the directory with your source code, and type make at the prompt. If you're not familiar with the Unix command line, I'd suggest any one of dozens of tutorials on how to maneuver around your computer in the Terminal. This is only one example:

  • Parse errors in ib_linux.h when I try to compile C code for GPIB in Linux.

    Keep getting parse errors starting at line 63 of ib_linux.h when I try to compile C code linked
    to the drivers. Using ver 0.6 driver, compiling using gcc name.c cib.o -o name, and I have
    ugpib.h as an include in the c code. The Linux box currently has the 2.2 kernel running.
    Any ideas?

    Hello-
    It shouldn't be necessary to compile by hand. After the 0.6 driver is untarred, there should be an INSTALL script to run. Be sure to "su" to have root permissions before running this script. It may also be necessary to "chmod" the INSTALL file before doing a "./INSTALL"

    This article pretty much sums it up: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Web_Languages/JSP/Q_20711819.html
              Your JSP_.java file will not compile to a .class file since the JSP is too large and the newer java compiler is more strict. You have to most likely break your JSP up using includes or use a more efficient design.

  • What are the compiler generated codes for objective-c?

    After the compilation, the code for c/c++ is known as "object code" i.e. ".obj" file, and the binary executable file is ".exe" .
    Similarly for java the compiled code is known as ".class" file.
    In case of Objective-c what is the output of Compiler and what is the Executable file?

    Strictly speaking, .obj and .exe refer only to the output of the compiler and linker for a Windows system (or cross compiler).  For *nix compliant systems the output of the compiler is usually given a .o suffix and the executable produced after linking is named whatever you choose; but usually with no suffix at all.
    Also, technically speaking, Java .class fiels don't fit neatly into this paradigm.  The output of a Java compiler isn't object code, per se; it's optimized byte-code that can be run by the JRE.

  • How do I solve the following message from Code Blocks on a OS X (10.10.2): "Agreeing to the Xcode/iOS license requires admin privileges, please re-run as root via sudo." ?. It appears when I try to compile any code.

    Whenever I try to compile any code the following messagem appears: "greeing to the Xcode/iOS license requires admin privileges, please re-run as root via sudo."
    I'm using CodeBlocks v. 13.12. Its file (codeblocks-2.app) is inside the App folder.

    I suggest you ask whomever makes CodeBlocks.
    They would be the most knowledgeable.

  • [solved] Problem compiling ConTeXt code

    I'd like to start learning ConTeXt and I've just tried to compile a simple hello world:
    \starttext
    Hello world.
    \stoptext
    when compiling with texexec I get this output:
    mtxrun | kpse fallback with progname 'context' initialized in 0.02 seconds/usr/lib/ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:45:in `require': /usr/share/texmf-dist/scripts/context/ruby/base/switch.rb:501: invalid multibyte escape: /\xFF/ (SyntaxError)
    from /usr/lib/ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:45:in `require'
    from /usr/share/texmf-dist/scripts/context/ruby/texexec.rb:11:in `<main>'
    I have ruby and all texlive packags installed except texlive-lang*. Searching for an answer I found an old discussion on the forum (2008) where it was suggested to run
    luatools --generate
    before using texexec, but this lead me to another error:
    mtxrun | unknown script 'base.lua' or 'mtx-base.lua'
    Am I missing some package-stuff necessary to compile ConTeXt code?
    edit: looks like I was reading an obsolete guide. It is now reccomended to compile code with "context <filename>", which works fine.

  • Errors compiling AS3 code - seeking advice please

    Hi,
    I am trying to run this AS code from wonderfl.net:
    http://wonderfl.net/c/9Lit/
    I have downloaded the right files to ensure this works:
    import net.wonderfl.utils.FontLoader;
    import com.bit101.components.*;
    But when I compile the code in an AS3 project in Flash CS4, I get a tonne of errors shown in the image below.
    I can't find much info on the wonderfl site, and the author is japanese, and I can't get through to his site to ask for advice.
    Might the errors be because the code is for Flash Player 11?
    I'm really keen to work on this code, but have hit a big brick wall.
    Any help much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    The code creates the effect shown here:
    http://wonderfl.net/c/9Lit/
    It doesn't do anything "useful" - it's just a nice effect, where it loops through the letters in some text and generates a pretty swirly pattern for each one.
    On the page above, click on the play button in the right-hand window, and that will run the SWF that is generated by the AS on the left hand side.
    I guess it means that the AS on the left hand side isn't actually correct, since when running it in flash, it doesn't work.
    I zipped up the source files I used when working on the code in case you want a peek:

    Thanks
