Compiling Enterprise JavaBeans and Its Interfaces

I've downloaded j2sdk1.4.1_02 and can't compile any code that imports
javax.servlet.* and javax.servlet.http.*
The install ZIP file has a JAVAX directory but no SERVLET or SERVLET.HTTP subdirectory.
What's the going on? Am I missing some isoteric point? Shouldn't the JAVAX contain SERVLET and SERVLET.HTTP stuff?

That's just the base SDK. If you want J2EE, you either need to get the J2EE reference implementation or a J2EE-compliant container. Several have been suggested on this forum: Tomcat, JBoss (JETTY or Tomcat), Orion, etc.
J2EE is not part of the default package.

  • Another really easy one: Is there a way to compile a .vi and its dependencies into a standalone executable?

Hey, I'm using the Full Development System version 5.0.1, and I was wondering if I can take a VI and its dependencies and turn them into an executable which doesn't depend on Labview's being installed.
Or if not, what is the minimum amount of Labview that needs to be installed in order to run a .Vi?
    Thanks,
    -Dobbs

Use Application Builder to create an executable. I believe LV 5.0.1 is close to 5.1.1. You'd get a .exe file that you can distribute. Keep in mind that you need Run Time Engine installed in the machine that will run without the LabVIEW development system. I believe the run time engine is free. If you use the SQL toolkit, you'll need to get a run-time license for App Builder.
In LV 5.1.1, under Project menu, select "Build Application".
I'd generally build a single VI containing all the VIs but you can certainly link it to an external file. Both ways work.
Under "Top Level VI", you'd need to specify the Top Level VI if you want the VI to execute automatically. Otherwise, it'll prompt you to select a VI to run.
    I hope that helps. Regards,

  • Enterprise JavaBeans and SNMP Java Connector

There is possible to develop a Java Connector that will allow my J2EE application to collaborate ( send , receive) SNMP commands with various network devices ( sensors, Access Points, hardware devices).
The information eventualy will be pushed back to the subscribed users using AJAX technologies.

    Hi,
I do not get your question.....
You want to connect from MI7.1 directly to a BAPI in the Middleware? Well, in 7.0 there was Generic Sync to do that - and I think this should be still there. With Generic sync it was possible to connect to call any BAPI in the middleware directly - if your user had appropiate rights. Check MDK for details.
And if you want to do that in our own app - if this is the intention of your question.... well.... then I would tell you this is under SAP (C), so as you know you could decompile the MI client code, but this is not allowed.
But I guess it was the first thing you are after, so see if that answer helps. But even there you need the running MI middleware - and this thing confused me in your question - are you using MI already or not and what do you want to do?

  • Compiling Nested Classes and Interfaces

I am looking for documentation about compiling nested classes and interfaces. I have found something in the JVM Specification, but there does not explain how a nested class is compiled and what is included in the top level class to mark a "place holder" to the nested class. The JVM Specification in this topic cite the web page http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/docs/guide/innerclasses/spec/innerclasses.doc.html that does not exists any more.
My root problem is that: I am compiling a class with a private nested class, but in the class file generated TopLevelClass$NestedClass.class the class does not have the private modifier. So I am not understanding why the "private" modifier was removed during compilation.
I performed the same test with a protected nested class and the result was the nested class with the public modifier. So I am not understanding why the "protected" modifier was changed to "public".
    Thanks in advance,
    Mardoqueu.

This should not be happening. What compiler are you using? If it's a reasonably recent Sun compiler, could you post a minimal example?

    How i do that
    Regards
    Shambhu

The functionality that you require is not available to VBA/COM - it is only exposed via C/C++.
However, you could retrieve the ENTIRE page image to the clipboard and then use whatever VB/VBA methods you choose to grab a section of the image.
Of course, this all assumes that Adobe Acrobat is installed on each person's computer that will be using the solution since Reader does not have the necessary APIs and Acrobat can't be installed on a server.

  • What is the difference of using JavaBean and regular classes?

    Experts,
I am new to JavaBean(not EJB), and wondering what is the difference of using JavaBean for JSP page compared with using regular Java class?
I know there are Bean tags which save some lines, what else?
What does "serialization" mean compared with "not serializable"?
    thanks very much.

    No.
A JavaBean is a regular JavaClass that:
    1) implements java.io.Serializable
    2) Its data members are private, and its data is accessed via getters and setters. You must define the getters and setters. Getters retrive the property, and must be in the format:
    public PropertyType getPropertyName()
for most cases. The exception is when the PropertyType is a boolean, in which case you use:
    public boolean isPropertyName()
Setters assign values to the property, and are in the form:
    public void setPropertyName(PropertyType propValue)
    3) There is also a PropertyChangeEvent model that needs to be followed.
A marker interface has no methods you need to implement. It just marks the class as supporting certain operations. In the case of Serializable, it means the class can be written to be an ObjectOutputStream for persistant storage.
As far as an example of JavaBean persistance, take a search on the java.sun.com site for Serializeable
Also, take a look at this: http://java.sun.com/developer/onlineTraining/Beans/beans02/
It concentrates mainly on gui component beans, but not all beans need to be gui parts... There are other pages to look at, but I can't find them at the moment, and I have to run...

  • Query on EP and ITS?

    Hi Friends
what is the diff bet EP and ITS?
    Regards
    Simha

    Hi
EP is the SAP Enterprise portal which is the UI(User Interface) that means the end user in the company will login into the
EP which opens the SAP screen.Instead of using SAP GUI the user will be using the EP .
all the roles are attached to the user bythe SAP BASIS team.
ITS : It is a component  used by the  SRM system. In SRM when you login thro' the portal  ITS will acts as  GATEWAY
between the SAP SRM and the SAP Portal screen.
In SRM 5.0 -you can publish the all the Templates thro ITS only

  • Enterprise JavaBean Model

    Hi All ,
I am working on NWCE 7.1 . I have created Enterprise JavaBean model for sessions beans. I am refereing this tutorial link
    https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/f7fe8caea471fae10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm
But when i am rendering view inputfield for my input model attribute is read only. I have set cardinality of my request node to 1..1. still whn i am binding input model attribute under request node , its showing readinly whn view is rendered.
If i try to access request node using wdcontext.nodeRequest().size() i am getting exception as " model node element cannot be created without a model instance ". Read only property of inputfiled is set to fasle.Plz let me know how to resolve tihs.
    Regards
    Kavita

    Hi Kavita,
Make sure your EJB application is deployed and started. If so, check whether its binaries (jar files) contain all the needed classes. The files are situated under /usr/sap/<SID>/JC<num>/j2ee/cluster/apps/<vendor>/<appName>/applicationjars/. Check also whether you EJB contains all the methods you are using from the Web Dynpro application.
Also search for any suspicious exceptions in the defaultTrace files (/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<num>/j2ee/cluster/server0/logs/). If any, please post here.
My final guess: have you added the last code snippet as shown here (in wdDoInit method):
    https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/f7f4c0c98d3482e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
Note that you should use the fully qualified name of the model, which means both the package and the class name, when registering the instance.
    Best regards,
    Vesselin

  • Semantics and its' role in Business Services

Role and importance of semantics in the context of services and SOA:
Semantics refer to interpretation of information and not the literal definition of information/ data. Applying semantics to information turns it into “knowledge”. Semantics is the act of applying references and drawing conclusions given a set of more scientific informational constructs. Typically semantics are derived using the context in which information is presented. Transposition on the other hand allows applies the rule of inference where in one can draw conclusions on the implication of truth based on some set of facts.

  • The difference between IEEE802.1Q Native VLAN sub-interface and Physical interface?

    Hello
I think the following topologies are supported for Cisco Routers
And the Physical interface also can be using as Native VLAN interface right?
    Topology 1.
     R1 Gi0.1 ------ IEEE802.1Q Tunneling  L2SW ------ Gi0 R2
    R1 - configuration
    interface GigabitEthernet0.1
     encapsulation dot1Q 1 native
     ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
    Topology 2.
    R1 Gi0 ------ IEEE802.1Q Tunneling L2SW ------ Gi0 R2
    interface GigabitEthernet0
    ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
And is it ok to use the physical interface and sub-interface with dynamic routing such as EIGRP or OSPF etc?
    R1 Gi 0 ---- Point to Multipoint EIGRP or OSPF ---- Gi0 R2 / R3
Gi 0.20--- Point to Point EIGRP or OSPF --- Gi0.10 R4  (same VLAN-ID)
    R1 - configuration
    interface GigabitEthernet0
     ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
    interface GigabitEthernet8.20
     encapsulation dot1Q 20
     ip address 20.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
Any information is very appreciated. but if there is any CCO document please let me know.
Thank you very much and regards,
    Masanobu Hiyoshi

    Hello,
    The diagram is helpful.
If I am getting you correctly, you have three routers interconnected by a switch, and you want them to operate in a hub-and-spoke fashion even though the switch is capable of allowing direct communication between any of these routers.
Your first scenario is concerned with all three routers being in the same VLAN, and by using neighbor commands, you force these routers to establish targeted EIGRP adjacencies R1-R2 and R1-R3, with R1 being the hub.
Your second scenario is concerned with creating one VLAN per spoke, having subinterfaces for each spoke VLAN created on R1 as the router, and putting each spoke just in its own VLAN.
Your scenarios are not really concerned with the concept of native VLAN or the way it is configured, to be honest. Whether you use a native VLAN in either of your scenarios, or whether you configure the native VLAN on a subinterface or on the physical interface makes no difference. There is simply no difference to using or not using a native VLAN in any of your scenarios, and there is no difference to the native VLAN configuration being placed on a physical interface or a subinterface. It's as plain as that. Both your scenarios will work.
My personal opinion, though, is that forcing routers on a broadcast multi-access segment such as Ethernet to operate in a hub-and-spoke fashion is somewhat artificial. Why would you want to do this? Both scenarios have drawbacks: in the first scenario, you need to add a neighbor statement for each spoke to the hub, limiting the scalability. In the second scenario, you waste VLANs and IP subnets if there are many spokes. The primary question is, though: why would you want an Ethernet segment to operate as a hub-and-spoke network? Sure, these things are done but they are motivated by specific needs so I would like to know if you have any.
Even if you needed your network to operate in a hub-and-spoke mode, there are more efficient means of achieving that: Cisco switches support so-called protected ports that are prevented from talking to each other. By configuring the switch ports to spokes as protected, you will prevent the spokes from seeing each other. You would not need, then, to configure static neighbors in EIGRP, or to waste VLANs for individual spokes. What you would need to do would be deactivating the split horizon on R1's interface, and using the ip next-hop-self eigrp command on R1 to tweak the next hop information to point to R1 so that the spokes do not attempt to route packets to each other directly but rather route them over R1.
I do not believe I have seen any special CCO documents regarding the use of physical interfaces or subinterfaces for native VLAN or for your scenarios.
    Best regards,
    Peter

  • Does 2 firewire audio and video interface can work together  on FCP ?

    hello,
My audio interface is a TC Electronic Konnekt 24D
my video interface is a Canopus ADVC 110
my hard drives are plugged in firewire too
and I use Final Cut Pro 5.0.4
So, the konnekt is recognized by FCP only when the Canopus is not plugged. And even then, the audio sometimes drop out and sometimes causes the app to crash, so that I have to trash the preferences
When I plug the Canopus, the Konnekt 24D is recognised by OS X but not FCP
I want to use the voice over tool with the konnekt 24D, so what should I do ?
Does 2 firewire audio and video interface can work together ?
If so, maybe I only have a driver problem from TC Electronic.
But if not, I have to change this interface. Let me know if only RME, MOTU, Presonus and Edirol work, as it is said on apple's webpage for hardware compatibility
    thanks
    eMac G4 1,25 Ghz Mac OS X (10.3.9)
    eMac G4 1,25 Ghz 1 Go RAM DDR   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

The 1082 does show up as a possible input when I open
    the VO tool.
Ok. So an audio interface can be plugged to FCP without crashing the app. Because of the Konnekt driver problem, I wasn't shure of this.
I use my Aja box for export & external monitoring.
All my audio sources run back into the Tascam and I
use the analog mixer in the 1082 to monitor different
    sources.
When I view external video, the audio follows it to
    keep sync.
that's exactly what I want with other I/O interfaces. I'd like to monitor video with the canopus ADVC 110, and monitor audio with the Konnekt 24D (or another interface if this one is not compatible)
I also imput dailies with a deck or a camera (DV or HDV) but that's not the point here.
I want to imput audio with the Konnekt 24D because of its audio quality. Not audio sync to video dailies. But voice over, in sync with FCP video playback (for me, tha ADVC 110)

  • Partner Profile and its configuration.

    Hi all,
I am creating an SD IDoc using EDI and send it between two servers.
I need to know what is a partner profile and why should we create it.
what are the steps to be followed in maintaining a partner profile and its configuration.
Any pointers will be highly apppreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Jose
Edited by: Jose Anthony Reddy on Dec 17, 2007 11:23 PM

    Hi Jose,
Below is a material you can go through .
    Creating an Outbound Partner Profile
Here you must enter the data manually. Alternatively, you can also transfer the default values from Customizing.
If you are not yet on the change screen of your desired partner, choose SAP Menu ® Tools ® IDoc Interface/ALE ® Administration ® Runtime Settings ® Partner Agreement (WE20).
    1. Position the mouse on your partner in the required partner type node. Choose in the Outbound Parameter table.
    Key Fields
    2. You have already determined partner number and partner type in general partner processing. The partner function from the master data defines the addressee, that is, it is used for further classification purposes. If you have selected outbound processing under Message Control (MC), the function must be identical to the corresponding Message Control field. Otherwise, it is optional.
Partner A (customer 1110) wants to order a material from partner B (vendor 1014). Partner B is of the partner type “LI” (vendor) and must choose the Message Control value “VD” (vendor) as the partner function because orders must always be processed using Message Control.
    3. Specify the business process with the “logical” message, within which the IDoc type is used. The logical message is described by three parameters: The message type is based on EDIFACT message types: For example, a purchase order is of type “ORDERS”. You can further divide the message type with the optional fields message code and message function.
    4. Configure the test indicator if you want to send the message as a test.
Message, partner and test indicator are the seven key fields of the outbound partner profiles (the client comes in addition to these). Also see the graphic at the end of this section.
    Other Fields
    5. In the Outbound options tab page, you can determine whether IDocs are forwarded immediately to the receiving system. You should ensure that your entries are compatible with the Message Control priorities, if you have chosen outbound processing under Message Control. A list of recommended combinations is provided in the section Outbound Processing Under MC: Procedure.
    6. You have already defined the Recipient port in Port definition.
    7. If a port of type TRFC is used, the Queue Processing field is visible. You can use the indicator to specify whether IDocs are to be sent with qRFC. This sending technique is only possible for recipient SAP systems as of SAP Web AS 6.20.
You should only set this flag if it is really necessary that the IDocs sent are received in the receiving system in the same sequence as they were sent by the sender system. Queuing can cause posting delays in the receiving system, because an IDoc in the queue cannot be posted. In this case, the following IDocs in the queue cannot be posted until the error is resolved.
    8. If you have set the Queue Processing indicator, the Rule Name field, which you must then also maintain, appears as well. The rule name defines the rules for queue names. You can specify these rules in the transaction qRFC IDoc Queue Name Rules (WE85).
    9. Specify the IDoc type as the Basic type with or without extension. If you want to use a view of your IDoc type (for example, to improve the performance), specify this here.
The figure below shows the m-to-n relationship between logical messages (business meaning) and IDoc types (technical format). Message 1, for example, is always assigned to one IDoc type, while message 3 is assigned to two IDoc types. IDoc type 2, in turn, is also assigned to 2 logical messages.
    10. The segment release specifies the release from which the segment definitions (not the IDoc type definition) originates. We recommend that you leave this field blank so that the most recent segment definition is used.
    11. You can propose an EDI standard, version and EDI message type for the receiving system in the tab page EDI Standard. Most subsystems, however, should be able to determine these EDI settings themselves (from the logical message).
    12. You can define permitted agents for cases in which exceptions occur. This entry overrides the entry in the general partner profiles. Depending on the message, therefore, the exception can be handled by different agents of the same partner.
    13. You can specify whether syntax errors are to be ignored or are to lead to a processing error (Cancel Processing flag under syntax check in the tab page outbound options). For more information about exception handling and permitted agents, refer to the following section: Exception Handling
    14. If your hardware supports it, create partner and message specific telephony data for outbound IDocs. For more information, see General Partner Profile.
Graphic: Outbound partner profile fields (general)
Key fields are shown in gray. The values for partner, message and test indicator (and client) therefore provide a unique ID for the IDoc type in outbound processing.

  • Brief discussion on SAP XI and its' Integration with SAP MDM.

    Hi,
I have never worked on SAP XI.
I am discussing it on brief, please give your valuable replies.
SAP XI consists of System Landascape Directory(SLD).
SLD Consists of Business System and Techinical System.
Technical System contains all information about the software
component. The Business System consists of Inbound and Outbound Business
System which are used as logical names for data transfer.
There is communication Channel for Receiver and Sender Business System and n agreement
is signed between Sender and Receiver.
Outbound Interface defined for Business System Outbound and Techical System associated
    with the Business System,
Inbound Interface defined for Business System Inbound and Techical System associated
    with the Business System.
In SAP NetWeaver XI Integration Directory, we have defined the Integration Scenarios,
Actions, Interface Objects, Mapping Objects, Adapters Objects.
Mapping Object defines the Structure and Value Mapping.
Adapter Objects defines the Adapter program which implements RFC Adapter, FTP Adapter logic.
FTP Adapter is used for XI-MDM Communication.
RFC Adapter is used for XI-ECC Communication.
Integration Repository: Both Outbound and Inbound Interfaces are Mapped with Value mapping and
    Structure Mapping inside Integration Repository.
The File Adapter takes the File from the Outbound port of MDM System
and sends it as IDOC to Receiver Business System.
Value Mapping must be done between Sender and Receiver interfaces.
Value Mapping is done by XSLT or Java based program.
SAP NetWeaver XI Integration Server at runtime:
Message Split, Interface Determination, Receiver Identifaction, Mapping, Techincal Routing
and Call Adapter Proccess are done.
In SAP XI 3.0 and MDM 5.5:
Step 1: Create busines system as service.
Step 2: Create communication channel for each business service. If the system can communicate
through different channels, then create all possible channel types if necessary.
Step 3: Create receiver agreement between the systems.
    Step 4: Interface determination:
    - Here you see for the first time the software component mentioned;
there are some special requirements regarding this software component in relation to the customizing ID mapping.
    - To modify this software component, the customer needs to copy the SAP standard delivered software component
into its own namespace. The customer is able to modify to create archives
    for the customized ID mapping.
    Receiver determination.
Configure an FTP Server on the MDS.
Create a send folder for outbound messages using outbound port(s) for
    remote systems(s).
Create receive folder inbound messages using inbound port(s) for remote systems.
This ia all about concept of SAP XI Infractsture and its' Integration with SAP MDM 5.5.
    Regards
    Kaushik Banerjee

    Hi Kaushik,
You must be aware of File types that MDM Import Manager can Import i.e. we have XML, Excel etc. Now there are two transactions to extract data from R3
    1. MDMGX -
             - For lookup table extraction
             - Output in XML format which MDM can import without using XI.
              - FTP can be configured to put the file in the desired folder which will be then picked by Import Server.
    2. MDM_CLNT_EXTR -
              - For Main table records.
              - Output is in Idoc format which MDM doesn't understand hence we need XI in between which converts Idoc file received from R3 into XML which can then be imported using Import Manager or Import Server. For this we need to implement XI Scenario that consists of Source System, Receiver System, Type of Data etc.
    Just a basic understanding...

    Jitesh Talreja
