Compiling IVI-C driver source code
I'd like to make some fixes into source code of IVI-C driver 'cause I have found some SCPI-command bugs in there.
What are main steps in compiling the source code, which library function I must include (VISA-library?)?.
I'm using LabView 7.1 and the driver in question is agpsgmxg (source code file is agpsgmxg.c) which I have downloaded from NI's idnet.
I have MS Visual Studio environment.
In CVI you would use Ctrl+K for compiling and then you would re-create the DLL and replace or rename it the existing one that is in IVI/Bin or IVIFoundation/Bin. Can you send feeback to [email protected] mentioned with the bugs found in the driver? So we can document and look into the issue?

Problem while compiling the Device Driver source code onSolaris 8 intel pla
Hello!
We are writing Device Driver for PCI (PMC) based HS serial
communication card on Solaris 8(intel edition).The Processor
used is Celeron/Pentium III.
We are facing following problems.
1) Kindly let us know the cc compiler options for xarch=isa.
2) Presently we have included following header files.
#include <sys/ddi.h>
#include <sys/sunddi.h>
3)We tried to compile our driver soure file (pmc.c) using
FORTE DEVELOPER 6 UPDATE 1 with the following command.
# cc -Xa -D_KERNEL -c pmc.c
4) The compiler is not able to reach to our source code. It prematurely fails
while compiling the system header files
5) The errors were reported during Preprocessor
compilation in /SYS/*.h header files.

How to compile mixed encoded Java source code?
Hi, everyone,
I have .java files, one (file1.java) is encoded ASCII, the other (file2.java) is encoded Unicode. I can compile each file by using
javac file1.java
javac -encoding Unicode file2.java
But I'd like to compile them together in one time. Is there any way to do that?
Thanks,
Hongmake them both unicode or both ASCII.Thanks, that's one option.
Is there any other way to compile those mixed encode sources without encoding conversion?
Thanks,

I heard about the possibilty of decompiling the java code and getting back the source code, is this flaw specific to java or is it common among all programming langauges?
how is it possible to protect the source code? and how expensive is the solution?
thank youBack to poster: To my knowledge, the ability tode-compile back to valid source code is unique to
Java.
No it's not. Any program files can be decompiledback
to source code.
If not their original C or C++ code, then at least
assembly code.You cannot decompile C or C++ code to anything but
assembler language. Which even when written by a good
programmer is considered obfuscated by others. I
doubt that anyone has lifted C or C++ code from
another application using a decompiler.yes you can, all binaries can be reverse compiled, logically speaking they have to be!
However, the readability of the output is not going to be as high as that obtained from decompiled java.
>
I would say that de-compilation is not a flaw in Javawhen compared to
powerful features it has to offer. Of course it's a flaw (so I disagree with you here).
People don't want this behavior, but it exists. As I
stated earlier (and I'm agreeing with you on this
one), it was an issue of priorites, and the
developers of Java decided that it was OK because it
allowed "powerful features"...it is a feature - whether it is a desirable feature is another argument entirely.
>
Here's a list of projects where the developers arenot interested in
hiding the source code from you, in fact they let youhave it for free:
Notice the words developers, not software companies.
I believe in open source and participate in it when
not bound by non-disclosure which is 99% of the time.
But I would stand by my statement that there are no
o software companies selling retail software that
believe the ability to decompile Java back to Java
source code is OK or good for them in anyway. I would
gently suggest that providing open source code, and
providing the ability to decompile to source code
really don't belong in the same discussion...Protecting code is not the job of programmers, it is the job of the Law.

Can it be done after the first login as root and changing the root password?
Easy it may be, but it is also incredibly dangerous. I find it terrifying that people even think of doing this.
I don't know which tutorials you are reading but the Beginners' Guide clearly includes this step as the first one to complete after rebooting into your new system:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Be … management
You should do the minimum necessary as root. You should only ever perform a task as root if (1) the task cannot be performed with less privileges, (2) you understand exactly what the task is designed to accomplish AND (3) you understand why it needs to be performed with root privileges.
While I admit that most do not go this far, I do not compile code with an account which is even in wheel. That means I don't compile even as my regular user - let alone root.
I guess I have just gotten lucky so far. Thanks for your advise. -
How to get source code for WinCE 6.0 USB Camera Driver for ARM4I Processor
Hi,
I am implementing USB camera driver for my mini2440 board which has an ARM4I processor. The sample code
"Windows Embedded CE 6.0 USB camera Driver" downloaded from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=2ef087c0-a4ae-42cc-abd0-c466787c11f2
does not support ARM4I processors. When trying to generate in VS2005 Platform Builder my WinCE 6.0
image for mini2440 with the Third party catalog items "MJPEG Decompression Filter" and "USB CameraDriver",
the linker giver errors. Please advise where to find a working source code for USB (now revision 1.1
("full-speed") is supported in my WinCE 6.0 image) camera for my ARM4I processor. The code should
be in C# but C++ will be fine also.
Thanks,

Error in compiling java source code in a package
hi all...
am having a problem in compiling a java source code:
i have a class named 'Test' in the package 'packone'....
i have another class named 'getTest' in the same package....
in the class getTest i am taking a reference to Test class...
on compiling i am getting the following error....
cannot resolve symbol
symbol : class Test
The source code for the two classes are :
package packone;
public class Test{
and
package packone;
public class getTest{
public void me(){
Test t = new Test();
i have included the directory path in the classpath....
still its not compiling .....
please help
thanks....Assume the current directory structure:
C:\
C:\packone...and that your classes are named Test & GetTest.
My guess is that you're compiling within the directory C:\packone using the command "javac GetTest.java", which is wrong; You must use a path corresponding to the package-name.
Move your command-line cursor to C:\ and type "javac packone\GetTest.java" and you'll be fine...

Why won't this source code compile?
I have been writing a simple app for a simple form. I have been using a gridbaglayout and checked compilation almost every step of the way, but then right as i am getting towards the end and have to start putting in the actioneventlisteners etc. ......... My code doesn't compile.

Errors compiling LearnerLookup.
I'd be glad for some enlightenment on this one.
ThanksenterButton is declared inside the constructor and so is not accessible from actionPerformed.
Declare enterButton as an instance variable and remove the declaration from the constructor.
e.g.public class LearnerLookup extends JFrame implements ActionListener {
JButton enterButton;and in constructor:
// JButton enterButton = new JButton("Enter"); Remove this line
enterButton = new JButton("Enter"); // replace with this. You'll probably need to do this for all the components with actionPerformed methods. -
How to compile the source code?
Hello,
I have got the source code and want to custom my nosql db.
how can I compile the source code?
thank you!You will have to apply some workarounds to achieve your goal, but they are not too bad.
One problem is that the sources for the Admin Console web application are missing from the distribution. You can build a kvstore.jar that lacks the web application but is functional in every other way. If you need to have the web application in your build, we can discuss that separately.
You will need to download the hadoop core jar file from http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/hadoop/hadoop-core/0.20.2/hadoop-core-0.20.2.jar .
Place it in the lib directory of the distribution.
I've appended to this message a context-style diff to show the changes that are needed in build.xml. You can apply these changes by hand, or use a diff-applying program such as "patch". The diff is small -- only three lines are changed.
With these changes in place, issue the command "ant jar", which should produce the file dist/lib/kvstore.jar. This jar file has dependencies such that it will not work correctly unless it resides in the same directory as the other jars in the distribution. Therefore you should move dist/lib/kvstore.jar to lib/kvstore.jar before you try to run with it.
This is certainly harder than it needs to be. We'll consider making this easier to do in a future release.
Let me know how it goes!

How to compile JMF source code
Hello,
Im working in an application which uses Java Media Framework to code/decode and transmit/receive the video and audio. I need to modify the h.263 codec in order to get an especial issue related to video.
I download the source code of jmf I found in this topic: http://ohmydear.tistory.com/attachment/48fd0e73b49f9C0.zip. But I dont know how to compile the jmf in eclipse tool. Does anybody know?
If anybody doesn't, would anybody know how to modify the coding and decoding of h.263 in JMF. I have no idea how to get that?
Thanks a lot and best regards.

If it's not just a straightforward build, then I doubt anyone has instructions on how to do it...
If anybody doesn't, would anybody know how to modify the coding and decoding of h.263 in JMF. I have no idea how to get that?Well, if you look at the following link...
[http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/2.1.1/formats.html]
You'll see that for h.263, decryption is the only thing that's implemented in Java (the things that are in the windows pack but not in the cross platform pack are implemented in native code)... so if you're wanting to do h.263 encoding, you'll have to code that from the ground up...
Read the following post for more information about writing your own codecs...

I want to thank you for responding to the thread I started on the forum at java.sun.com. Your solution to my problem of needing to print the code of the html pages that the file I included generates was just what I was looking for. However, I have some further questions to ask, if you don't mind. To clarify my task I should say that your rephrasing of the problem is accurate: "You wan't to display the contents of the HTML file that the web server produces in response of client's request?"
Yes, this is what I need to do, but also it needs to display the source code of that html file that the server produces in response to the client's request. Also, in this case, I am the client requesting that the server return some html file, and I'm not sure where the server is. But the webserver.java file that I shared on the forum is on my local machine. I was wondering if I could modify this webserver.java file at my home so that any html file the server returns to me would automatically display the source code. This is a school project of mine and I am stuck on this one thing here.
Further, where would I put the "foo.html" file so it can be written to?
FileOuputStream fos = new FileOutputStream("foo.html");
fos.write(bytes);
fos.close();
Thanks so much for your help. I look forward to your response, at your convenience.

Help to Compile the B1DE Source Code
Hi Experts,
I downloaded the B1DE 2.1 for 2007A source code. I need a template for SAP Wizard Installer for VS2010, Can you please help me on how to recompile the B1AddOnInstallerNETWizard so that i can have a new template for VS2010 for B1DE. Thanks
BenFor example, the native methods, for instance,
socketcreate() ,are dependent upon the default socket
implementation. If the system contained more than one
socket implementations, how would I make the javac to
use my required implementation????
OKay, we just seem to be going in circles here.
First of all, please, give up this idea. Even if you make these changes and get it to compile you are not going to be able to redistribute this application. So it's a non-starter.
So let us move on to trying to actually solve your problem. What exact problem are you having? What are these "other" socket implementations that you need/want?
Please give some details about the problem you trying to solve. -
Where does source code of webpage of firefox gets stored on hard drive?
i want to scan the the source code of webpage which is loaded in firefox
Webpages are not saved to your hard drive; they are temporarily stored in RAM. You can right click on a webpage and click Inspect Element, which will show you the HTML code used in the current webpage.

Cannot compile C source code program
This below is my source code.
=====
main ()
printf(" Test");
=====
C compiler is Forte Develope 6 Update 2 . After I compile source by cc command . This below is output of C compling.
#/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -o /tmp/main /tmp/main.c
ld: fatal: library -lc: not found
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to a.out.
Could you suggest how to fix this case?You can also try the following to get an idea as to where your installed compiler is picking up various libraries:
#/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -# -## -o /tmp/main /tmp/main.c
You should see some output that looks like the following:
### Note: NLSPATH = /opt/SUNWspro/bin/../WS6U2/bin/../lib/locale/%L/LC_MESSAGES/%N.cat:/opt/SUNWspro/bin/../WS6U2/bin/../../lib/locale/%L/LC_MESSAGES/%N.cat
### command line files and options (expanded):
### /tmp/main.c -o /tmp/main
/opt/SUNWspro/bin/../WS6U2/bin/acomp -i /tmp/main.c -y-fbe -y/opt/SUNWspro/bin/../WS6U2/bin/fbe -y-xarch=generic -y-o -yt.o -y-s -y-verbose -y-xmemalign=4s -Qy -D__SunOS_5_8 -D__SUNPRO_C=0x530 -D__SVR4 -D__unix -D__sun -D__sparc -D__BUILTIN_VA_ARG_INCR -Xa -D__PRAGMA_REDEFINE_EXTNAME -Dunix -Dsun -Dsparc -D__RESTRICT -I/opt/SUNWspro/WS6U2/include/cc "-g/opt/SUNWspro/bin/../WS6U2/bin/cc -c " -D__SUN_PREFETCH
### Note: LD_LIBRARY_PATH = <null>
### Note: LD_RUN_PATH = <null>
/usr/ccs/bin/ld /opt/SUNWspro/WS6U2/lib/crti.o /opt/SUNWspro/WS6U2/lib/crt1.o /opt/SUNWspro/WS6U2/lib/values-xa.o -o /tmp/main /tmp/main.o -Y "P,/opt/SUNWspro/WS6U2/lib:/usr/ccs/lib:/usr/lib" -Qy -lc /opt/SUNWspro/WS6U2/lib/crtn.o
If the lines beginning with ### Note: LD_LIBRARY_PATH = and ### Note: LD_RUN_PATH = are set to something strange, that could be the cause of your problems. As another poster suggested, you'll want to unset those environment variables and recompile.
Example:
# unsetenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH
# unsetenv LD_RUN_PATH
or if you're running ksh
# unset LD_LIBRARY_PATH
# unset LD_RUN_PATH -
Ddd does not display source code when loading compiled program
Hey everyone,
I'm writing a C program right now and I would like to use ddd. The problem is, the source code window is completely blank. Has anyone ever run into this before? I really don't even know where to start looking to fix this problem. Yes, I have loaded my compiled binary (I can see the assembly instructions in the machine output). I use both awesome and xfce (different sessions) and it does not work in either.
Here is the relevant configuration info:
extra/gdb 7.3.1-1
aur/ddd-syntaxfix
awesome 3.4.10
xfce 4.8
I had to install ddd from AUR since ddd seems to have a bug in it where it will not show the machine code without a fix.
If you need any other info just ask and I will provide it.This Forum is for Forte 4GL or UDS as its called today. I am not sure if anybody is going to be able to answer your question here. Sorry.
