Compressing files isn't working for me
I have a 46mb movie file. Too big to attach to my email. I compressed it in Finder, and it showed me a progress bar grinding away, and then displayed my file with a .zip extension. However, the zipped file is the same size as the original.
What should I be doing to get this file shrunk down to a smaller size?

Re-encode it using a greater compression settings.
Videos are already compressed, so zipping them has no effect.

Why blocking sites using Hosts file isn't working?
Hello
I need to block a few websites on my home computer. Did a quick search and found out I had to work with the hosts files. So opened up Notepad, ran it as Admin and then opened Hosts and at the bottom added ' 127.0.0.1 facebook.com' then saved the file. But
facebook is still opening when I go to the page.
can someone tell me why using the Hosts file isn't working?
I did read somewhere that it might have something to do with security features on my system. FYI, I m using a trial version of Norton Anti Virus and I am running a Windows 7 machine.

HELP - Website isn't working for me but working for everybody else
Hey I'm new to this site so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section!
So I've been getting annoyed lately because my website (www.curtiskeay.com) isn't working for me and just redirecting me back to my hosting website saying that the website is 'coming soon' but it works for everyone else that has tried loading it, so it just seems to be me that it's not loading for.
It works every now and then but very rarely for me, so it makes me feel that the site is down but really and truly it's just not loading for ME. It works perfectly fine at home on my wifi on my phone which is android and I use google chrome. I know this isn't probably a Apple related problem but I was unsure where else to post this.
If anyone can give me any kind of help it would be greatly appreciated!

Try this.. from your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Now empty the Safari cache.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Advanced tab.
Click: Show develop menu in menu bar
Now go to the menu bar, click Develop > Empty Caches
Quit and relaunch Safari then try your site. -

Issue..
1) Defined the attachment type in IMG.
2) Added the attachment type "SFREEATTM" by selecting other attributes---> Attachment Types.
3) Attached the excel file in the design.

The Issue is when testing through tcode nwbc in the inbox the attachment tab is not visible after selecting the particular form.

I have the paid AOL accounts, and they were supposed to get back to me today and have not, thus far. It has to be an issue with AOL's email server. The tech that I spoke to over the weekend said that he thought that it may be an issue with their server. Almost 3 weeks ago, AOL's email server was hacked. They said that 2% of their accounts were affected, and one of my AOL accounts was in that 2%. They didn't admit for over a week that it was their server that had been hacked, and instead made everyone affected think that it had been their own computers that had been hacked. I have to believe that this is an AOL issue again. Everything was working fine with my iPhone and my iPad, and suddenly my email was nolonger being pushed on Thurs night/early Friday. If I get an answer from AOL, I will certainly post it here.

HT5595 Parallax feature isn't working for me. Help?
I have an iPhone 4 that I updated to iOS7. It's supposed to have the parallax feature and it isn't working for me. Games that use motion and tilting the screen still work, so why no parallax effect on my phone?
It doesn't even have a reduce motion option in my settings-general-accessibility. No option to even turn it on. What's going on?The parallax effect is not available on the iPhone 4.

You have to download and RUN the iPhoto library upgrade - then launch iPhoto - If you had iPhoto '08 or earlier (version 7.x.x) - the upgrade is installed in the utilities folder of your Applications folder

Try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

.swf file isn't working in a wrapper that was created in Director::
I'm working with a client that uses an in house "wrapper" that houses their training courses and has some back end reporting built into it. The wrapper basically is the shell that consists of the navigation so users can get through the different files and courses that are housed within the wrapper. It's a jerry.rigged lms. I create courses for this client using captivate 4.0 and publish out to .swf files. All my files have worked for them. However, I have created a new type of interaction for them and it's not working for them once the bring it into the director wrapper. It's a screen that has 6 clickable areas on it and when the learner clicks, they should get a .pdf document that opens in a new window. What's happening is the screen shows up, but the documents aren't pulling up when they click on the links.
FYI--the interaction works perfectly until it is loaded into the wrapper.
Any thoughts?

I'm trying to send two videos totaling around 330MB using MailDrop, but it's not working for me.
I'm using Apple Mail under Yosemite, hooked up to a POP account from Gmail. The first time I tried to send these attachments, Mail told me they were too large, and asked if I wanted to use MailDrop. I said yes, the message tried to send -- there were several minutes apparent inactivity -- and it eventually got sent back to me, saying that the attachments were too big for my server. MailDrop apparently hadn't worked at all.
After checking via System Preferences that I was signed in to iCloud, I went to Mail > Preferences, then Accounts, then clicked on the Advanced tab under the Gmail account in question. Contrary to Apple's help files, I found no option whatsoever there to turn the use of MailDrop on or off -- there wasn't any mention of it anywhere in the preferences window, or anywhere else I looked. Subsequent attempts to send another message with the same attachments (after deleting the initially, unsuccessful one from my Outbox) haven't prompted Mail to ask me about MailDrop again. They messages just keep getting bounced back to me, and I keep getting told they're too big for the server.
I thought I'd read that MailDrop worked seamlessly with every email provider. Do I need to be using an @icloud.com address for it to work? Does it only work with IMAP, not POP? Thanks much for any and all help.Hello,

NAC ADSSO with NAC Module isn't working for all modules

We have a NAC OOB-L2-VG Deployment at the Central Site with VLAN Mapping and ADSSO which works just fine.
As part of the project we have implemented NAC Modules on ISR routers for the branch offices; same topology but as the documentation states no VLAN mapping was configured. The problem is that for some users in one branch office the ADSSO isn't working and in another branch office the ADSSO isn't working at all, all the users are getting authenticated with a local user we defined on the servers.
The configuration in both modules is exactly the same; they are using the same user to access the AD (the one used on the ktpass) the data links to the central site are both 1 Mbps and everything is pretty much the same thing.
I have checked the logs on the CAS-Module and it states that Windows SSO is running:

The IP address 172.19.5.11 is the IP of the PC during the unauthenticated role; what the user is finally seeing is the CCA Agent asking for user and password instead of using the ADSSO.
The version of the Agent is 4.1.10, the NAS and NAM are running 4.1.8 and the only ackword thing is that the Active Directory Servers are running Windows 2000 SP4.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

The time listed under "date modified" is incorrect. I've tried doing what this article suggests but it isn't working. At first, the "Restore Defaults" button was greyed out under both the Date and Time tabs (System Prefs>Language&Region>Advanced). I changed a parameter in each tab and was then able to use the Restore Defaults button. However, this hasn't solved my problem. Does anyone have an alterternate suggestion or fix for this problem?
