Concerns re: Upgrade to CS 5.5

Because CS 5.5 runs only on 64 bit OS, I need to buy a new computer before I can use it. Am currently running CS 2 on Win XP Pro on 2X dual-core AMD Opteron 275 (no need to laugh, please), but something about "upgrading" seems amiss.
Even though I don't yet have the new computer, I'm considering buying the upgrade and storing it until I can afford the new computer, (hopefully in a couple of months), for 2 reasosns:
1) to take advantage of what's claimed to be a "discount" that expires on March 15, and
2) to ensure I get CS 5.5 before CS 6 becomes available, out of fear that an "upgrade" from CS 2 will no longer be available once CS6 is released.
What seems "amiss" is this: sInce CS 2 was written for 32-bit OS, and CS 5.5 for 64-bit OS, how could an "upgrade" possibly be written to handle the differences?
It seems to me that any "upgrade" would, in fact, need to be a complete install of CS 5.5.
Can anyone from Adobe confirm that:
1) an "upgrade" from CS2 to CS 5.5 is, in fact, a complete install?
and
2) there will be no additional "price" (either money or time and aggravation) if I install my stored version of CS 5.5 2 when I get a new computer 2 or 3 months from now?
Example: if the "upgrade" requires that CS2 be resident on my computer, how can I expect to first install CS2, (an app written for 32-bit OS) to a machine running a 64-bit OS, then install an upgrade for a 64-bit app to that machine?
I've "chatted" with Adobe, and have yet to see/hear the words "Yes, an upgrade from CS2 to CS 5.5 is, in fact, a complete install of CS 5.5." I've been told "it will work", but everyone seems unwilling to state that any upgrade is a complete install of CS 5.5.

So, if the three back policy stays, I think CS4 would qualify for an upgrade price for CS6, but not CS3
Adobe announced the new 2 back policy (CS5 and CS5.5 qualify for an upgrade to a CS6 perpetual license) along with a bigger push for the subscription approach.
http://blogs.adobe.com/conversations/2011/11/adobe-creative-cloud-and-adobe-creative-suite -new-choices-for-customers.html
Then, in response to the uproar, announced a longer, but still limited window, so that "If you’re on CS3 or CS4 when CS6 ships, you’ll have until the end of 2012 to upgrade to CS6."
http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/2012/01/new-upgrade-options-for-cs3-and-cs4-customers.html
http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/faq/upgrade-policy.html
So yes, your CS2 will not be eligible for an upgrade to CS6.
And yes, if you want a perpetual license, you would be wise to upgrade before CS6 ships. I don't know when that will be, but they said the first half of 2012, so it is time to make a decision.
The subscription approach is going to be very appealing if you are an early to mid-career professional.

  • Any concern about upgrade SHA-1 to SHA-2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 PKI ?

    Hi,
I have a little knowledge about PKI. I was saw about how to setting and configure CA server to support SHA-2/SHA-256. Has anyone know about what should be concerned before migrate or what have to be done after migrate.
    1. Any impact with endpoint that still used SHA-1 certificate in environment, compatibility ?.
    2. Are they any related with the certificate template ?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
    1. Any impact with endpoint that still used SHA-1 certificate in environment, compatibility ?
If we want to upgrade the CA to SHA2, we need to renew the root certificate on every client.
    2. Are they any related with the certificate template ?
Once a CA is configured with a SHA2, all certificates it issues will use the same hash.
    Best Regards.

  • A salutory tale concerning my upgrade to Infinity

I was sitting one evening not so long ago (life was good then) merrily watching TV when the phone went and a very well spoken gentleman from BT made me an offer I could not refuse - cheaper rates, better connection and download speeds etc.. well not being one for looking a gift horse in the mouth I agreed and a set-up date was arranged for 21st May 2011.  The engineer arrived as planned and the system was installed in about 2 hours and I starrted to use my new Infinity system....so far so good.....then......
The next morning I woke up and noticed the tell tale orange broadband light...hmmm no service, that's strange never happened with my BT Home Hub 2.  Never mind I am sure the nice people at BT will help...call BT...oops must have got the wrong number..the person on the other end can hardly speak an English I can understand but eventually he agrees to get the engineer to call.  BT Engineer calls on the 23rd May and fixes it...great.
Then on the 7 June again I notice the telltale orange broadband light...hmm not again I try calling it's 8am.....keeping trying finally get through at 2pm!!!   Told fault is temporary... service comes back on sometime later and then goes and then comes and then goes and on and on and on until the 10th June, increasingly fed up I phone again it's 7am but I do not get through until 3pm!!!
The nice Indian chap arranges for an engineer to call next day (11th June) he arrives in thre morning and cannot see anything wrong....broadband is up again....then it goes off again on the 13th June and keeps coming back on and then going off most of the day.
My patience is by now wearing thin and I nearly lose my rag with the Indian chap who arranges for a further visit scheduled for Wednesday 15th between 8am and 1pm.......the day comes and nothing, nada, no sign of the BT engineer.......I call again and a nice Indian lady explains that no appointment has been made.....this time I do lose it and blow off some profanities.  However a new appointment is made for the 16th June between 8am and 1pm.....the time comes and goes and yes, you guessed it, no sign of the BT engineer.  Next I get a call from BT saying that the fault is fixed!!! Really well I'll be damned lil'Jimmy and here I was thinking that I could not access the internet, these guys in India must know a **bleep** of a lot more than me......the line does come back on and then off and then on.....here we go again.....I go to sleep and have nightmares where I am being chased by a big hub who is trying to eat me, I wake up drenched in sweat....thank God it was a dream...but....oh **bleep**....the telltale broadband light is orange again......I call again and again an appointment is made for tomorrow Saturday, another wasted Saturday waiting for an engineer me thinks......never mind SKY offer a pretty decent broadband service and I think I am going over to them as I have lost all confidence in BT.
Be warned dear friends their be monsters in Infinity.....you may be thinking how have I managed to post this without broadband access.....actually I am using my Vodaphone mobile broadband service (which I have as back-up) to do this.

Get a third party router is what I would advise. Must have an ethernet LAN connection though.

  • Upgrade concerns to ios6 on Ipad 3

I am concerned about upgrading to Ios6 from 5 on Ipad 3. Specifics: I have several thousand photos in albums created by using the "photo card reader" and PhotoMngPro app. None were added via Itunes synch to avoid the annoying issue of losing your photos if they are moved or removed from the PC harddrive during a synch. Also, the Ipad Photo app is too limited... can't reorder pics or delete duds. The PhotoPro app allows this and more. Also, not sure (no response from app developer) if the app is 6 compatible. Also, have 12 manuals in pdf files added by capturing from downloads. Don't know what to do or what might happen. While I synch my Ipod Touch frequent as well as Ipod Classic, I only synched the Ipad a couple of times... some time ago. Thanks for any tips, etc. As basically a PC guy for 15 years, I am rather confused by Apple's approach
    Greg

What iOS are you running on your iPad?  If your iOS is lower than 5, you won't have the software update option, which means you'll have to update the OS via iTunes on your computer.  To check the OS:
    Settings > General > About
You'll see what iOS version you have.
NOTE:  Once you do update, you'll be able to update via the Cloud in the future.

  • Can't upgrade iPhone 3GS to ios4

My wife and I purchased 3GS iPhones shortly before the 4G was released. We both have identical Panasonic Toughbooks, mine is running Vista, and hers is running WinXP. Neither one of us can update from 3.1 to the latest 4.2 os.
We both have the latest version of iTunes. We both get the same error message, which is:
    "The network connection time out
Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later".
I am a moderately advanced computer user, not a newbie, but don't have a lot of experience with Apple products.
There is nothing wrong with our network connections that I can tell.
When I attempt to download the update iTunes indicates that it is downloading for five minutes--I have a download meter on my PC that indicates during this time that for those five minutes I am downloading at a rate of more than 5MB. Itunes indicates the download is complete and then shows the message "Processing file". After a couple of minutes we get the message above.
I've read through the support documents on the Apple website and made sure that the appropriate ports are open.
We are past the 90 period and thus ineligible for free support from Apple.
The apple store tells us we can make an appointment with a tech who will upgrade the phones for us, but the phones will be wiped clean of all contacts, address books, apps etc.
They assure us that once we sync up again to iTunes, all these things will be restored.
I have also read on some online forums that this upgrade may cause adverse reactions to my 3GS phone, such as slowing it down considerably.
Am I being unduly concerned about upgrading? Perhaps I would be better off leaving the phone as is with the older OS?
    Any help is appreciated----AARGH!

    Well I spoke too soon.
The update was successful, but now I cannot connect to the 3GS data network.
Cannot get email and cannot open a page in Safari.
+"Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding."+
    +"Cannot Get Mail+
+THe mail server is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings."+
Email and internet work fine on WiFi.........no data using 3GS network.
Looks like I will have to revert back to old OS.

  • Can I open Lightroom without upgrading my catalog?

Unfortunately I'm not sure how to do a screen capture, so I'll try to type what I'm seeing.
When I click on the LIghtroom icon, I get a message box that says "Please upgrade the catalog file "Lightroom Catalog 3" for use with Lightroom 3.  It continues "Lightroom will create a new catalog file in the destination indicated below.  The previews will also be moved to the location and converted for use in Lightroom 3"  Upgrade destination C:/Documents and Settings/...../Lightroom 3 Catalog-7.lrcat
There is a button to choose a different catalog, upgrade or exit.
When I open the button to change catalogs, it gives me one option, but when I click on it, I go back to the "Lightroom will create a new catalog"
My concern with upgrading is that I've a workflow for the catalog that's at C:/Documents and Settings/..../Lightroom 3 Catalog-5.lrcat  Earlier today, I clicked on the dialog that resulted in a catalog at Lightroom Catalog-6.lrcat, but when I opened it, I'd lost all the listings for the Free Agent drive (usually G:/ where I do my daily uploads.  I could still see the external hard drive (E:) where I save edited work, but it indicated that I would have to locate all of the folders I'd created on the E: drive.  I saw only the default collections on the left hand side -- (smart collections, last month, etc.).
I finally was able to get back to Lightroom 3 Catalog-5, which had all the work, but I'm not sure how to recover all my collections and folders if I Lightroom creates a new catalog at a destination that has a different number.  The problem is that now I can't seem to open Lightroom 3 at all -- when I click on Change, I don't see my catalog 5  in the default folder.  I know I found it once before, and it became an option on the pulldown menu.  But I don't want to have to keep finding it on the drive where I store it so I can keep my indexing and folder and catalog organization.
Lightroom 3 Catalog 5.lrcat works fine for me.  My default for backing up is whenever I close the program, so I'm confident in it's integrity.  How can I open Lightroom with the catalog that works for me --without getting messages that seem to force me to do an upgrade I don't want to do.
    Thanks for your help!

I've been using Lightroom 3 for about a year.    Right now I'm going
back to the folder with my backups and opening Lightroom 3 Catalog-5.  I
think I've tried to reconstruct my left side panel with earlier
Lightroom 3 Catalog x versions.  I don't have all the collections and
folders I had with my Lightroom 2 catalog.    That catalog seemed to
have been corrupt when I moved to Lightroom 3.  I don't recall how I did
it, but I guess I imported the photos and tried to start over with my
    collections.

  • Internet sharing no longer works after 10.5.3 upgrade

I'm aware that a number of people seem to be having wireless networking problems after upgrading to 10.5.3. I apologise if this has been covered somewhere else, but after trawling the forum I haven't been able to find any posts which deal with my specific issue. So any suggestions would be gratefully received...
My 24" 2.8GHz Intel iMac (purchased in Feb 2008) is connected to the internet via ethernet cable through a Speedtouch router supplied by my ISP, o2.
This internet connection is shared wirelessly with the other computer in the house, a G4 MDD running 10.3.9. After switching on Internet Sharing within System Preferences on the iMac, the G4 picks up and connects to the network created by the iMac, which is called (My Name)'s iMac.
All very straightforward, and until a few days ago this set up worked perfectly.
Then I decided to upgrade the iMac from 10.5.1 to 10.5.3, using the Combo updater downloaded from the Apple website.
As far as the iMac is concerned, the upgrade went perfectly and I have no problems whatsoever. I can still access the internet without difficulty as before.
The problem is with the G4. It no longer picks up the network from the iMac. The network's name ((My Name)'s iMac) no longer appears in the drop-down list under the Airport icon in the G4's menu bar (although this list does still contain the names of various neighbours' networks, as it did before, so the Airport in the G4 does still seem to be functioning). Internet sharing on the iMac is still switched on, and the Airport icon in its menu bar indicates that it is "transmitting", but the G4 is just not "receiving" any more. As a result, we can't get online on the G4.
I would be very grateful if anyone could shed any light on this problem. If there is any further information I can supply which might help, please ask.
    Steve

    Hi SteveSCA-
Greetings and welcome to the Apple boards
Have you tried powering everything down and then back up again?
Have you repaired permissions on the iMac?

  • Lenovo Yoga 11s SSD and RAM Upgrade - Great Results

Picked up a Lenovo Yoga 11s from Best Buy.  I chose Best Buy for price, color, and processor.  They had a slightly better deal than Lenovo.com.  The clementine color looks great.  Quality is great.  I'm very happy with the purchase.  It has the i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD.
I upgraded the SSD and RAM and found the upgrade relatively easy.  Here is a basic step by step and results.  (note the parts I chose increased the cost by close to $400.  I chose these parts based on quality, performance, and power usage.  There are cheaper alternatives, but I wanted an upgrade and money was not my concern.)
    Upgraded Parts
RAM - Patriot Memory 8GB PC3-12800 1600MHZ CL11 1.35V - Purchased at Newegg, but could have saved a couple dollars on Amazon.
I chose this part based on previous experience with Patriot and the low voltage RAM.  A lot of the RAM is higher voltage and I wanted to make sure I reduced heat and power usage.  When you look for 1.35V RAM, there are not a lot of options...
MSata SSD Drive - Intel SSD 525 Series 240GB Drive
    Intel SSD Page
    I purchased through Newegg
I chose the Intel drive based on previous experience with Intel.  They cost more, but I've found their performance to be good and reliability good.  There is also a good review on this drive on Tomshardware Tomshardware Intel 525 Review.  Toms review shows top performing drive and low power.  I also looked at many other manufacturers and Intel had the lower power consumption.  This means less heat and longer battery life.
    Cloning Software
Intel provides a free cloning software from Acronis
My Digital SSD MSata external case
    I purchased through Newegg.
Nice quality device.  I used this to help in cloning the OEM SSD to the new Intel drive.
    T5 Torx Screw Driver
I purchased this from Home Depot T5 Torx Home Depot
I read all the reviews, posts and issues around cloning the Win8 SSD drives.  Many people have/had issues.  I was prepared for problems.  Another reason I chose Intel, as they have migration software that I felt would be top notch.
You need to have the Hardware Manual handy.  I read how to remove keyboard and top cover.  This is required to upgrade RAM and SSD.  It was very easy.  Take your time.  Note, this is very different than the Yoga 13 youtube video for part removal.  I think it's easier.  Here is the link to download manual Yoga 11s Hardware Manual.
    How to clone your SSD
I expect if you're doing this project you can learn how to use the Intel software for cloning.  Read the web, watch their youtube video.  Read the manual...
Remove your factory SSD and insert new Intel SSD (note, you must insert Intel drive in notebook for cloning.  Do not try and clone on the USB external drive.  Intel software will not detect drive properly).  Create a bootable version of the Intel software on a USB drive.  Install your factory OEM SSD in the external MSata SSD drive.  Go to BIOS and set boot to support legacy, no fast boot, boot to USB.
Boot to the Intel Acronis app on the USB drive.  Then connect your OEM SSD via second USB port.
Then follow the wizard on Intel's software.  Cloning process took less than 5 minutes.
Unplug your USB devices, go to BIOS and set all all your boot settings back to factory UEFI, fast boot etc.
The PC booted to windows second try.  The first time it said it has issues and went through a process to repair.  It then said it failed.  I rebooted again and it went straight to windows.  Did all my windows updates and everything is fine.
    Performance
    Windows Performance Improvement
Memory - Factory score was 5.9 - Patriot Memory is 8.2 *** Nice Improvement
Hard Drive - Factory score was 6.2 - Intel 525 Drive is 8.2 *** Nice Improvement
This pc is crazy fast booting and shutting down.  It boots in 7 seconds.  Not sure it's really faster than OEM, but I've never seen a pc boot this fast.
Over all performance is fast.  I installed Office 2010 pro from a USB drive in under 5 minutes.  Web browsing is crazy fast.  I'm super impressed with the speed of this pc.  Much faster than I expected.
Size, Shape, Weight, color is great.  Performance is great.  Happy with upgrades and quality of parts.  May be my best notebook purchase to date.  I don't have any battery life numbers to report yet.  Everything is new and I haven't really spent much time off the charger.
Issues I've experienced during this upgrade of parts
I first tried to clone the SSD drive by putting the Intel drive in the USB enclosure first.  The intel software would not work as the PC detects the external SSD drive as a SCSI drive and Intel cloning software could not identify the drive as an Intel Sata drive.  I called Intel and they had no advice or help.  I also tried a few other cloning softwares that ultimately did not work.  As a last resort I switched the drives and everything worked great.  Lesson learned, swap the drives first and use Intel software to clone.
Factory restore - doesn't work.  Not sure why the factory restore is not working on my new Intel drive.  Windows works great!  All the partitions are there.  I suspect I messed up the OEM restore portion of the drive.  At one point I thought I had booted to the Intel drive, and tried the restore (I had about 7 failed cloning tries before the final one worked as I outlined above).  It went through the restore process and then failed.  However, what I later found was that I had actually booted to the OEM drive in the external USB case and I may have corrupted the restore functionality.
I contacted Lenovo Support and explained I could not restore using the 1 key restore.  They walked me through some basic troubleshooting and then opted to mail me factory restore disk.  I have the disk and will keep them available for when/if I ever need to restore.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I upgraded from the Yoga 13 to the 11S and am happy to report that the machines are so identical that apparently you can just yank the SSD from one and drop it in the other. I had upgraded my 13" to 240gB SSD + 8gB RAM and simply plopped the two components into the 11S and after about 30 seconds of Windows alerting me that it was 'setting up devices' the machine booted normally and has been working perfectly since!

  • We have an imac with os10.6.8 and safari 5.1.10 if we upgrade to the new safari will it be compatible, and will it work with our bank?

We have an imac with os10.6.8 and safari 5.1.10 we have been getting messages that some site no longer support 5.1.10. I am concerned about upgrading, as we had trouble with a previous update with our bank. I checked with the bank and they are suggesting waiting, but other sites like youtube what the upgrade.  Has anyone had problems with the new safari? Our imac is pushing 8 years old, but we are not ready to replace it.

Upgrading from 10.6.8 to a newer OS has implications for many Mac owners. Lion (10.7) ended support for software that was originally written for older Macs that used Motorola processors. Owners who kept their software current had few issues upgrading to Lion when it was released but a lot of people suddenly found they had software that wouldn’t run any longer.
Another thing to consider is the age of your computer. A 2007 or 2008 iMac can run Lion fine and even Mt Lion (10.8) but Mavericks is a reach. It was Mavericks that prompted my purchase of a new iMac in late 2012. Given that you say your iMac is pushing 8 and you don’t want to replace it yet, don’t consider upgrading beyond Mt Lion. You won’t find Lion or Mt Lion for sale at the App store but I believe that you can still purchase them by contacting Apple directly.

  • 10.4 Tiger Unlimited - Upgrade to - Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard 10-Client License

Can I just upgrade my current 10.4 Tiger Server Unlimited to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Server 10-Client License?
I have many email lists, and websites on m current server, but I only have six clients that are named.
What would I have to watch out for?
The only modifications were to change SpamAssasin so that the settings could be easily upgraded.
Is there something that could return my 10.4 server to it's standard state, and then, just upgrade?
Could I just reinstall 10.4, then upgrade all the 10.4 steps to 10.4.10, then upgrade to 10.5?

+There are two aspects here. Technical and License. If you have only 6 concurrent file sharing users, then the 10-client license will work fine.+
I have only six concurrent users. I was just concerned about upgrading from one to the other.
+Not knowing what modifications you may have made it is hard to tell. Personally I prefer to setup servers from scratch between major version changes.+
I am sorry. The only modification was to shift from ClamAV to FreshClam.

    The services I have running are;

  • Database upgrade of R12.1 from 11.1.0 to 11.2.0

    Hi,
It looks the database 11.1.0 is installed when R12.1 is installed, and I would like to upgrade the database to 11.2.0.
When I went through notes and discussions, most of them are about upgrading from other lower versions to 11.2.0.
Can anyone help me with finding discussion threads or documents which concerns about upgrading from 11.1.0 to 11.2.0?
I would like to find out pre-upgrade checklists, upgrade procedures, and post upgrade steps...
    Thanks in advance,

  • Upgraded mac 10.4.11 to snowleopard not enough memory

    Hi
Reluctant and to poor to do away with my mac 10.6.8, i gave it all a spring clean, backed up the hard drive onto 'Lacie', then installed Snowleopard. fantastic! my computer working almost like new again. However... i could not install Mavericks - 'not enough memory'.
I can probably find more gunk in the machine (duplicate files etc), buy clean my mac.  what else?  is there a fixit for a not too geeky mac user?

You need 2 GBs of RAM or more to install Mavericks. It's not just a hard drive concern.
    Upgrading to Mavericks
You can upgrade to Mavericks from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mavericks can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
    Upgrading to Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Mavericks from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mavericks is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
        OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mavericks

  • CS6 upgrade woes

I'm in the same boat as others here--back and forth, jumping through hoops to get to the point where I could be ignored.  It's been two weeks since I was informed by email that my paperwork was accepted and that I would get my serial number in 5-7 days (or a reason why I was being denied).  It's been two weeks, my trial CS6 has VERY inconveniently expired as of yesterday, and still nothing.
I'd like to note that, like thousands of others I'm sure, we only bought CS5.5 a few weeks before the release of CS6 because Adobe made the generous offer of the free upgrade.  We could have waited for the release and bought that, but we trusted that Adobe was making a fair bargain.  We still expect the company to come through, but it has been a very frustrating experience.
Can anyone give me advice on the next step?
If there is an Adobe employee lurking about, my case number is #0208405682.
I'd appreciate any help to move this along--my daughter is in the middle of a school project using this software, and we'd really like to see Adobe uphold their end of this bargain.

I am also in this very same situation.
I am trying very hard not to lose my cool over this whole issue, but I think I am now at my breaking point.
I, like every other "smart" cs5 owner saw an opportunity and jumped on it thinking and hoping the same things that Cole1881 was thinking.
Unfortunately as of today, almost 3 1/2 weeks later I am still without my upgrade.
In end July I had not heard anything from adobe concerning my upgrade (checking my email everyday twice a day at this point fully knowing the upgrade came out in May). I went to the FORUMS as the support had directed me to and read a post (man I wish I could find it) explaining that Adobe was being overloaded with serial requests and that everyone would have there’s shortly. So I took that as a "be quiet we'll get to you don't worry!” I waited a month. Trying to be patient... still no email.
Then, beginning of Sept, I decided enough is enough, I’ll go through the annoying task of sitting on the phone waiting to explain my missing code story to some overseas agent who won't be able to understand me fully anyway and we'll inevitably send me in the direction of "upper management" so they can handle the request and get me my missing email with the serial code.
I did this and not only was I in compete shock when they told me "you can't get your copy now you are past the redemption time" but I was dumbfounded when they didn’t get that I NEVER RECIEVED AN EMAIL TO TELL ME WHEN I COULD NO LONGER GET MY COPY! Then they proceeded to tell me that this issue was being forwarded to basically someone who could resolve the problem and that I would receive an email AND a phone call in 24-48hrs. I received nothing for 72hrs.
On the fourth day I decided to call again, it is now middle of Sept. and still no resolution or any respectful apology for them not sending me an email of my upgrade. I go through the motions again, this time explaining that I now never got an email or phone call. I am hoping this time the light bulb will click and someone will say, "oops our bad!" and finally send me my serial code. Nope. Just the same BS over and over. The best part, Prince, the customer service rep I was working with the second time around, said that he would "personally" make sure that someone emailed and called me back within 24-48hrs with a resolution to my issue. He even told me that if they don't call I could ask for him personally and speak with him again.
You can guess they never called or emailed. I called again TODAY, this time, was given a 1hr 30min run around (oh and I did ask for Price and the lady said, "we cannot do dat here, dunno who tod you dat but there is no way to do dat". Unbelievable). Also, during this time, while I was on the phone waiting to get connected to the upper management AGAIN I get my very first email from adobe. In broken English. ...saying "we cannot give you your code. We can only give you 25% off for a new cs6". You can imagine my face at that point. When they finally pick up, I tell my whole horrify story again, and he tells me all he can do it offer me 25% off. That is all. I cannot get my code. I have to buy a new cs6.
Way to go Adobe. You really know how to screw over valued customers. You are so luck you have a monopoly in this department because you must know your customer service SUCKS and people would ditch you asap.
Can someone, anyone, point me in a direction where I can get some actual help? I feel that I did absolutely nothing wrong and I’m being penalized for being an adobe user. My ticket number is #209129334.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

I've heard from problems with timezone or time field while upgrading from 9i to 10g.
Where can I get informations concerning this upgrade?
