Conclusion becomes "might" instead of "is not" in automatic screen
Hi there,
I am in the process of building a rule table in excel. It has 2 sets of boolean conditions and 2 conclusions. However, if I go through the Automatic Screen and select "No" for each of the questions, instead of concluding "the product is NOT prohibited and the product MUST carry a label, it has the product MIGHT BE prohibited, and MIGHT carry a label. Does anyone know why I have this uncertainty? It should be either MUST or MUST not...

Are you including an "else" row? By default, if the conditions for a rule table in Excel are not met, all conclusions will be "uncertain" unless stated otherwise.
For example, consider the following rule table (one condition column + one conclusion column):
| some condition has been met | the outcome can be determined |
+-----------------------------+-------------------------------+
| TRUE | TRUE |If during the interview the question"Has some condition been met?" is answered "No", then the conclusion will be "The outcome might be determined".
If the "else" row is added:
| some condition has been met | the outcome can be determined |
+-----------------------------+-------------------------------+
| TRUE | TRUE |
| else | FALSE |Then the conclusion will become "The outcome can not be determined".

The point is that you're a customer, and the company needs customers, so the individual who's failing to deliver good service needs to be identified so they can be properly trained, and so that problems in the system can also be identified, but more important is that you get the service you're entitled to.
If you search the forum for similar questions, you'll see the kind of information that the volunteer users like yourself on the forum need to know about your system and files involved, so they can help you better.

I have been trying to increase my disk space for windows xp on my Imac and I am running parallels 6. before opening windows I go into configure in parallels and open the hard drive and try to move the allotted disk space from 32 gig to 64 or any other increased gig and then apply and I get the error message: resizing failed unable to resize last volume. The file system of this volume might be damaged or not supported. How do I increase the size?? I just also did a disk repair utility with Apple on the Apple side of my IMAC. Please Help!! I had uninstalled SQL server on the windows side and needed to uncompress files to install this and then I ran short on disk space.
This sounds to me that your Parallels XP file system is corrupted and not the OSX file system.
Have you checked the XP file system while running the Parallels XP yet ?

After a power failure while iPhoto was running, I get the message "Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable" and iPhoto will not open???? held down the option and the command and tried to run what was ticked off and it just sits there with a spinning wheel and does nothing, can I throw the app away and download a new one? or will it still not open?

You could, but the error message is indicating that your iPhoto library needs repairing.
Check, if iPhoto will run, if you launch it on a new library. Hold down the alt/option key, while you launch iPhoto. Select to create a new library from the panel that will show. Can you create a new library? If yes, try again to fix the library. Which options have you tried from the Library First Aid panel, when you launched iPhoto with the option and command key held down?
If you have not tried "Rebuild"; do that next. But be sure to make a backup of your iPhoto library, before you try this. -

when inserting a date column using '05-JAN-06', the year becomes 0006 instead of 2006.
sysdate shows 2006 correctly.

Never rely on that to insert a date. explicitly put the to_date function with the format to avoid surprises.

Zoom option in accessibility enabled automatically and icon become so large. So not able to access (even call any no.) phone. Please fix this problem.
Update: I tried the "Toshiba Recovery Wizard" after everything else either fizzled out or hung up. After going all the way thru the recovery process (up to 100%), I finally got an error message.....it didn't work. And now, when I fire up the computer, I don't even get to that menu with the recovery options....the only thing I can boot into is the screens with the various ways to run your OS (in "safe mode", "safe mode with networking", etc).
I'm not a techie, but I'm guessing at this point, the part of my hard drive that got damaged in the fall was, at the very least, the partition with the recovery data. Couple that with the fact that this cheapo Toshiba laptop didn't even come with recovery disk (or ANY kind of disk, even basic installation software!), I'm screwed: I don't see any way to get a workable computer now without some kind of disk to boot from. So NOW my concern is more about spending the $$ for a new OS and THEN finding out the hard drive has other problems too...is broken in some other way to boot.
How to check this? As I said, I did run "chkdsk" back when I could get into the recovery menu and run the fix-it programs. It didn't note any problems. Thinking of taking this opportunity to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista (which I never liked), but I have to know that the computer is otherwise ok....how to be sure? -
If the data network is not available for some time, to get it again we need to restart the phone instead it is not finding the data network instantly. why cant the iphone searches data net work offten if not available. i am totally disappointed with this!

It sounds like you are unable to make or recieve phone calls because the screen goes black. I would start by quitting all the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If that does not resolve the issue, I would use the troubleshooting in the following article, named:

While I'm using facebook in my iPad with Safari browser,sometimes it will just switch to main menue.It also happened with the Facebook apps from the apple store. And the color of the bookmark area becomes black instead of a normal grey color.
Then if you have tried all the browsers try connecting the system to yoour router with an Ethernet cable and turn WiFi off. If you have the same problem then it more then likely after your computer, Router or modem or connection from your ISP.
If you get good browsing with the Ethernet cable then it is either the WiFi card in your Mac or the WiFi system in your router. -
I am in the process of designing a website-on-a-CD. In order to make things easier for my clients, I decided to organize this site into local sub-directories with an index.html page in each one. However, when I try to enter the local sub-directory name, followed by a forward-slash, the index page does not open automatically. Instead, I get a raw directory listing that includes the index.html file, and anything else that is present within it. I would like to know if there is any way to force this page to load automatically within Firefox from a local storage medium as it would load from a web-server.
You need to use file:// as the protocol instead of C:/. The latter may never work (C:\ might).
Where is the main HTML located ?
Easiest if to store the images in a sub folder of the location because you can't go back via ../ beyond that root location for security reasons.

Zhang Ming-anWhen you are manually refreshing the snapshot as scott/tiger, and your database link was defined with a 'connect to/identified by ' clause, your login credentials will be scott/tiger. When the refresh happens from the job queue, it does not use those credentials, It uses some default set. What you should probably do is:
1. create public database link Oracle using 'server1';
2. as scott/tiger, create database link Oracle connect to scott identified by tiger;
3. your automatic refresh should work now. -
I installed a new wifi router and airport will not connect automatically to it. It sees the network but will not connect unless I tell it to. I can't find anywhere in the utility or network preferences that will allow me to choose this router as the default. How do I fix this? BTW I'm using Lion.

Using System Preferences > Network > AirPort Advanced again, you need to remove any listings of previous networks that used the same password as Molly. Click the name of the network and click the - (minus) button at the bottom of the list of connections.
Also delete any other networks (except Molly at the top of the list) that might have used the same name...Molly in the past.
Delete any other networks that you no longer need so that your Mac will search for networks more quickly
Click OK, then click Apply
Open KeyChain Access and look for a listing of any old networks that you no longer need. Click to highlight the name of the network, then click the Delete Key on your computer.
Then look for any old networks that might have used the name Molly in the past and do the same for them.
Then look for any old networks that might have used the same password as the password for your "new" Molly network and delete them in the same way
Click the KeyChain Access menu just next to the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the computer screen
and then click KeyChain First Aid
Enter the main administrator password for the Mac you are using and highlight the Repair button. Then click Start. You will see a message that repairs have been completed
Quit Keychain Access
Power down the entire network...all devices...order is not important
Power up the modem first, then your main router, the other devices one at a time
Log on to Molly and see if the Mac remembers it after a few tries. If not, I'm afraid that you will need to change the name of the wireless network and password on your router due to corruption issues on the Mac. You have done everything possible without re-installing the complete operating system.
