Concurrent Request Find, slow

I can submit my concurrent requests but when it comes to clicking the 'Find' button the application hangs for a very long time

I can submit my concurrent requests but when it comes to clicking the 'Find' button the application hangs for a very long time If you are feeling slowness only for this operation then it can be due to:-
1) fnd concurrent table not purged since long
2) Statsistic not gathered.
Purge concurrent request related table using below metalink note:-
Concurrent Processing - How to run the Purge Concurrent Request and/or Manager Data program, and which tables does it purge? [ID 1086013.1]
once done run gather schema stats, "Gather Schema Statistics" from the System Administrator responsibility with APPLSYS as Schema if not all.

We looked at the server load and it is ok, the memory is very high though.
I tried running a stardard report using a RDF file a it processed normally, without delay.
Could it be related to Java ? Any idea ?
    Thanks a lot

Well... Magically it started working onormally this morning after... bouncing the server... So we think it is due to a memory problem. I don't think it was due to the complexity of the sql as I tried to run a report with the following: select * from fnd_application and it was the same issue...
Thanks anyway I'll keep you updated if we find any thing interesting when it happens again ;)

  • How to find  a concurrent request's responsibility of  the FND user

How to find a concurrent request's responsibility of the OA user who submitted?
For example, I have a concurrent request id: 123, I know user A submitted,
I want to know user A's Responsibility when submitting the request id: 123.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I'm not sure about this, but can you check whether FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS.RESPONSIBILITY_ID provides you with the RESPONSIBILITY_ID of the user from which the request is triggered ? If yes, joining this with FND_RESPONSIBILITY_VL.RESPONSIBILITY_NAME can give you the name of the executing responsibility.

  • Script to find the Concurrent Request ID from its associated SID

In one of my production system, my server load is going very high. From the top used process ID of server, I found the SID and found out that the program running is "ora_rw20_run@acgerp (which is a concurrent program)
How do I find out the Request ID using the SID/PID? Can someone please provide me the script to find the Concurrent Request ID from its associated SID?

There has been no new changes in the report server or in the database. Suddenly of late, we have been observing this program running and it never ends, consuming major part of the cpu load. Not sure what this program is -> ora_rw20_run. There is no mention about it in metalink or in google.
I followed MOS Doc 1058210.6 and tried to debug more. But the formatted output doesnt give any info either.

  • How to find Concurrent Request output file Document ID if exists

    Hi,
My Concurrent Request when runs, it produces an output file.
This output file is located on the server.
Could any one let me know from which tables i could get the document id and the node id of the node where this document resides if it does in the Oracle Document Management System.
I want to do is use this in the workflows to set the attribute value using procedure
    SetItemAttributeDocument
    Thanks in advance,
    P

On the Concurrent Requests table (FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS), the OUTFILE_NODE_NAME and OUTFILE_NAME indicate where the output file is stored. As far as I know, this is only on the server running the concurrent manager and not in the Oracle Document Manager System.
What are you trying to do with your output? If you are simply trying to provide access to it, you might be able to construct a URL similar to the standard concurrent request completed notification (basic email which provides a link to the output of the completed request).

  • Taking in many concurrent requests via a single servlet

    Hi,
My objective for this topic is to find a way to make my tomcat app able to handle as many as possible concurrent requests.
    My app spec is
    -servlet running on Tomcat 5.0
My app is a mobile text messaging app that receives requests via a single servlet, called InboundRequest. This servlet will,
    1. Read the HTTP params in the request
    2. Decide to which other servlet classes it should forward to (RequestDispatcher)
    3. The recipient servlet will read the HTTP param, process it and outputs the data via OutboundResponse java class.
    So, my issue is,
    1. What factor decides the number of concurrent requests my InboundRequest servlet can handle? Is it my code or Tomcat itself or the server hardware
    2. Since I'm using Request Dispatcher forwarding, if say i have a request that takes 5 seconds to complete the its task (to output the result via OutboundResponse), will in inhibits/stops any other requests that comes in during that 5 seconds?
I appreciate all expertise i can get.
    Regards,
    Mel.

There is nothing to worry about that concurrent request handling as container will create one instance of your servlet and then for each client request it will spwan a single thread which will handel the client request. If u r implementing SingleThreadModel then onle one thread will be spwan and it will handle the requests one by one .So it will be slower .

    Hi;
    FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS
This table contains a complete history of all concurrent requests.
    FND_RUN_REQUESTS
When a user submits a report set, this table stores information about
the reports in the report set and the parameter values for each report.
    FND_CONC_REQUEST_ARGUMENTS
This table records arguments passed by the concurrent manager to each program it starts running.
    FND_DUAL
This table records when requests do not update database tables.
    FND_CONCURRENT_PROCESSES
This table records information about Oracle Applications and operating system processes.
    FND_CONC_STAT_LIST
This table collects runtime performance statistics for concurrent requests.
    FND_CONC_STAT_SUMMARY
This table contains the concurrent program performance statistics generated by the Purge Concurrent Request and/or Manager Data program. The Purge concurrent Request and/or Manager Data program uses the data in FND_CONC_STAT_LIST to compute these
