Conditional Action using hot/cold state to open/close toc

I'm trying to create a button that will open/close the toc and when clicked will toggle the state of the icon/button from hot/cold. Basically using an icon with a transparent smart shape as a button. when the button is clicked the toc will open and the icon will change to the hot state (hiding the cold state icon) then when clicked again the toc will close and the icons will switch back. I have my action set as shown in the images below. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a reg ex idiot. So I use the Search Specific Tag feature whenever I can. See screenshot, hit Replace All. But please do this on a backed-up document to be sure it does what you want.

Open close sub vi front panal

I have a sub vi which returns a true or false. I'm using a case statement to open and close the front panal of the sub vi. If true I'm using a invoke FPpen to open the sub vi and if false I'm using an invoke FP:close to close the front panal. The sub vi and case structure or inside a while loop. My problem is if a false is returned without the front panal already being open an error occurs. Is there a different setting I should be using or is there a way to determine if the front panal is closed so I don't use the invoke FP:Close?

Yes, you will get an error if you try to close a panel that is not open. Just ignore the error with the Clear Specific Error.

What that alert means is that your iPhone 5c does not have a newer version of iOS on it to support that back up of your iPhone 4s. To get passed this you would need to update your iPhone 5c to the latest version to then restore from the back up you made with iTunes. IPhone: open()/close(), etc, fails, yet fopen()/fclose() works...why?

I've just wasted about a days worth of development effort trying to figure out why my logging routines on the iPhone fail (while working on the simulator). I was using the standard C routines open/close/read/write. Their return values are valid, so imply they are working, yet no files are produced.
I finally discovered in the docs that iPhone supposedly supports fopen()/fclose() etc .Since these are typically mere wrappers to the lower level functions they should fail also, but I gave them a shot and they work as advertised. So why the *((# should open() fail when fopen() works???

Conditional Filters using case statements

Hello,
I have a table view which displays Total Quota and Theatre Quota. Against the Total Quota, there are 2 values - Rollover Revenue and Theatre Revenue. Against the Theatre Quota, there is only Theatre Revenue.
What I want to accomplish is to display only the Rollover Revenue Aggregated Quarterly number whenever there is a Total Quota number and not display the Theatre Revenue number
In the table view,

I think that your CASE statement has a flaw. The line length of one of the lines is too large. You need to insert a carriage-return to shorten it (or press the button 'Pretty Printer').

his post describes the procedure required to migrate a database from Windows to Linux using the RMAN Convert Database command.
Both Windows and Linux platforms have the same endian format, which makes possible to transfer the whole database, making the migration process very straightforward and simple.
To migrate between platforms that have a different endian format, Cross Platform Transportable Tablespaces (XTTS) needs to be used instead.
List of Steps Needed to Complete the Migration
The migration process is simple, but as it has several steps it is convenient to be familiar with them before running it.
1. Check platform compatibility between source and target OS
2. Start the database in read only mode
3. Check database readiness for transport from Windows to Linux using DBMS_TDB.CHECK_DB
4. Check if there are any external objects
5. Execute the Rman Convert database command

After the update, I expect to see the new menu entry, but there is none.

I didn't see anything about "Insert Conditional" on that page. Also, the "New Features" link takes you directly to CC versions' new features.

How to make dynamic actions using Set Value work in all browsers?

I’m having a cross-browser incompatibility issue with dynamic actions using Set Value. The dynamic action works like a charm on Chrome but has no effect on either IE or Firefox. The code in oracle.apex.com and here are the credentials:

There are two report lists (Standard and Special) and some of the reports require additional information supplied in either select lists or text boxes.
If the user selects a Standard report requiring a select list/text box, then the dynamic action sets the value of Special Reports to NULL (and vice-versa).
The dynamic action is to prevent a simultaneous selection of both the Standard and Special reports. To see how it works on Chrome, do this:
Run Page 3
Select the ‘Report for Search Criteria’ option from the Standard Report list. A ‘Search Criteria’ text box appears
Select the ‘Report by Release’ option from the Special Reports list. A select list appears and the ‘Search Criteria’ text box disappears.
If you do the same things on IE or Firefox, the text box does not disappear.

Things are going wrong with setting the item values to NULL. If you check your session state, you'll see that in chrome your items values indeed will be set to null, but in firefox they won't.
Also I've noticed that you don't reset the other input fields, so their values persist in the session state. Since you submit your page every time you change one of the report select lists, this might lead to unexpected behaviour. Lastly, I've noticed you use a sql exists expression to manage the display/hide of your page items. A condition of type "Value of expression 1 = expression 2" causes less overhead as you don't need to switch to the db sql engine for every item to validate.
I'd suggest you rethink your specs and try to create:
- One dynamic action (since a value of standard select excludes the value of special select, and vice versa)
- Set the values for hidden items to null, also in session state
- Use a refresh of region as extra event in your dynamic action, instead of submitting your page for every change.

How to use a case statement in where clause

Hi All,
I have a requirement which is to bring all the claims that are created in the last month.So, i wrote a query something like this
select * from claims
where
(Month(ClaimOpenDate) = Month(Getdate())-1 and year(claimopendate) = year(getDate()))
which would give me any new claims created in last month of current year, but this condition fails if we are in the first month of a new year( lets say if we are in 2016 jan then month(getdate())-1 would be 0 and year(getdate()) would be 2016 so we dont
find any records where year is 2016 and month is 0 for claimopen).
So, i would like to use a case statament or something which can help me get around this one.
Can someone please help me with any suggestions?

So if i use your logic in the end for both the where clauses its been more than 10 minutes and the query is still running however if i use my old method it doesnt even take a second. Looks like its affecting the execution plan. Any suggestions to get around

Conditional action script not executing

I have four buttons, Q1, Q2,Q3,Q4. the script for each works fine: the variable (ex. Q1) is set equal to 1 and the other functions perform as scripted. When all four buttons are clicked on and equal to 1, another script (Slide_End) is supposed to work--hiding a box on the screen and showing the Next button. This Slide_End script is not working. I have the slide properties On Enter assigned to Advanced Actions>Slide_End. The Slide_End script has been labelled as All Clicked within the script itself. I just can't understand what I am missing. I have the exact same settings on another slide and it works fine.

Normally for a standard action, you choose 'Standard action', not a 'Conditional action'. Have a look at this old presentation, maybe it will clarify something:

Double click on the second 'Untitled' and you have a second possibility to check something. The first condition will always be fulfilled (IF 1 is equal to 1) so that is really a standard action. The second Untitled will be your real condition where you check all the variables and have two different sets of statement/commands depending on the answer Yes or No for that condition.

We use buttons and links extensively to create large, complicated PDF publications that include layers and rich media. Our target audience is casual viewers who are interested in the content, not in how Reader works. So, we create our own interactivity allowing the viewers to change how the page is viewed - in and out of Full Screen, for example, or with bookmarks or pages panels on or off. The biggest problem we have is that these button and link actions are toggles - you cannot specific the actual state you'd like to achieve (unlike page actions.)
We would like to be able to set a button or link action such that we specify that Full Screen is ON, or OFF. Right now, if the user has independently set their view to Full Screen, and then clicks our button, it actually does the reverse and turns the Full Screen OFF, due to the toggle action.
Alternatively (and actually even better) if we could have a conditional action (without resorting to Javascript!) that would allow the Full Screen button to be set IF the view is not already in Full Screen, or navigation panels are not already ON, that would work well.
Or, even having two actions - turn Full Screen ON, and turn Full Screen OFF, would be better than the blind toggle.
We've struggled with this for years, and keep hoping a new version will add this funcationality!

Dataguard setup using hot backup files

Hello,
I am planning to setup dataguard using Hot backup (Not RMAN) files from the primary instance. I have a few doubt as, How shall I recover the Standby database using the archive files generated while taking hot backup of primary? Shall I directly execute the "alter database recover managed standby database" command? Will this command take care of the archives generated durring hot backup also?
Appreciate any help on the above.

Guys by using below procedure you can rebuild your data gurad by using manual hot backup.
1) On the primary database, defer the archival of redo data .
ALTER SYSTEM SET LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_STATE_2=DEFER;
2)
put primary database in backup mode
copy all the datafiles from primary database to Standby database (you can copy to other location in primary server and tar&zip it and send it to stand by and unzip and untar there)
Once you copy the datafiles to another location on primary server,you can use below command for tar and zip
go to the copied datafiles location and issue below command
tar cvf - .|gzip -c > /dump/backup/drdb_backup.tar.gz
put primary database in end backup.
3) create stabdby controlfile by using below command and send it to standby server
alter database create standby controlfile as '/dump/drbackup/2standby.ctl'
4) copy all generated archive logs (from the time of database begin abckup) from primary database server to standby database log_archive_dest location.
5) on standby database once we placed all datafiles and controlfiles in place use below commands

SQL> starup nomount;
SQL> alter database mount standby database;
SQL> recover standby database;
--AUTO
SQL> alter database open read only;
SQL> shut immediate
SQL> startup nomount;
SQL> alter database mount standby database;
SQL> alter database open read only;
SQL> ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE DISCONNECT FROM SESSION;
6) On the primary database, issue the following statement to reenable archiving to the physical standby database:
SQL> ALTER SYSTEM SET LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_STATE_2=ENABLE;
