Configuration Plan Generation in 11.1.1.2

Hi all,
How to generate a Configuration plan to change the partner link URL say (for example, a web service URL that is different in the test environment than in the production environment)
any suggestions
Thanks ,

  • Test Plan generation in SOLAR_TESTPLAN

    HI
    Is the test plan generation in SOLAR_TESTPLAN by default a transportable object?. If i save it as a local object i wont be able to transport it to other clients, but i want to create the test plans independant of the client systems. Please let me know if there is an option
    Thanks

    Hi
    You create a test plan for a project  if you want to reuse the project structure created in the Business Blueprint for a process-oriented test. means You organize tests after you have created a project structure in Create Business Blueprint,Configured, and want to test these configurations by process.
    then only you can select all the test cases and transactions which you have assigned to the project structure, for the test plan.
    When you create a test plan for a project, the default test plan structure is based on the structure of the Business Blueprint that you have previously created for your project.(hope i clear you that how it get sync).
    and yes you required to save the Test plan as tranportable package obeject directory, this is needed only for the optimizing transports.
    please check this [Transport testplan|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smehp1/helpdata/en/69/38d2872daa11d5b37d0050dade3beb/frameset.htm]

  • Configuration Plan for service not working

    Hi,
    I have written once config plan for my composite which has one inbound Fileadapter to read and one outbound fileadapter to write files.
    if I am below configuration plan my files are being written to desired directory
    <reference name="Write">
    <property name="logicalDirectory">
    <searchReplace>
    <search>C:\Documents and Settings\Ashutosh Singh\Desktop\my Files\FileAdapter\Destination</search>
    <replace>C:\Documents and Settings\Ashutosh Singh\Desktop\my Files\FileAdapter\Destination\logical</replace>
    </searchReplace>
    </property>
    <binding type="jca"/>
    </reference>
    However If I write similar kind of search replace for my inbound service it is not picking the desired directory.
    <service name="ReadFile">
    <property name="PhysicalDirectory">
    <searchReplace>
    <search>C:\Documents and Settings\Ashutosh Singh\Desktop\my Files\FileAdapter\Source</search>
    <replace>C:\Documents and Settings\Ashutosh Singh\Desktop\my Files\FileAdapter\Source\sub_source</replace>
    </searchReplace>
    </property>
    <binding type="jca"/>
    </service>

  • Configuration plan for chages in XSL files ?

    During SOA 11g deployment, can we use configuration plan for making changes / override values which are set in transformation XSL files ? Have been getting mixed response on the net, so need to classify on the same.
    Thanks.

    I don't believe you can. There is no specific construct in the config plans for doing that and I believe the search and replace feature only works with WSDLs and XSDs.

  • Netork Configuration Plan - Will this work?

    I have a residence with a main house, a guest house and a work shed.
    The main house has a fireplace which is causing some interferance in the
    remote buildings. All buildings and areas that need access are within
    125' of the cable modem which is currently connected to a WRT54Gv4. I
    would like to replace the WRT54Gv4 with a new WRT300N. Then I would
    like to connect the guest house via the PLE200 Powerline adapters with
    the existing WRT54Gv4 (as a router) which should extend the range of the
    wireless as well as provide hardwire connections if desired. Then I
    would like to add an additional Powerline adapter in the work shed to
    hook up a network printer if possible or connect it via a new Wireless G
    print server.
    1 - Does this seem feasible or would you suggest something else?
    2 - Are the powerline adapters only to be used in sets and can you use
    more than 2 adapters on a single network?
    3 - If the WRT54Gv4 cannot be connected to the WRT300N via Powerline
    adapters as a router instead of a gateway -- what would you suggest?
    Can you connect the WRT54Gv4 to the WRT300N wirelessly? I do have a
    poor signal where the second router will be, but there is a signal.
    Configuration Planned:
    WRT300N
    192.168.2.1
    255.255.254.0
    Ch. 6
    SSID - match with WRT54Gv4 (non-broadcast)
    128 bit WEP encryption - match with WRT54Gv4
    Start IP's - 192.168.2.100
    WRT54Gv4
    192.168.2.2 or 10.0.0.1
    255.255.254.0
    Ch. 11
    SSID - match with WRT300N (non-broadcast)
    128 bit WEP encryption - match with WRT300N
    Start IP's - blank or 192.168.2.200?
    Printer
    192.168.2.254
    255.255.254.0

    the setup seems to be feasible according to me
    minimum 2 power line adapters are required
    what you can actually do is... change the ip add of the wrt54g to 192.168.1.2 and disable its DHCP server...so that it now works as a wireless AP and switch

  • Configuration plan in SOA 11g, help needed.

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to use configuration plans in SOA 11g to migrate composites from my DEV environment to STG. I have ant scripts that would help me in promoting the composite from DEV to STG, but im stuck up with using configuration plans.
    Can someone help me in explaining what should we do to the configuration plan that we create in JDev. I know that some portions of the file has to be edited so that endpoints of the new environment would get replaced in .bpel,.wsdl and other required files, but i dont know which sections of the configuratin plan file have to be edited and what is its significance.
    If someone can share an example configuration plan file also it would be great.

  • Production Plan Generation Issue

    Hi Gurus,
    Scenario: I am running SNP heuristics to generate production plan at plane level. before making the same I made GR time for that SKU_Plant combination "0" to ensure start date and end date of production plan generation should be same and also made SNP checking horizon for eg. 5 days to ensure PP should generate on 6th day.
    Result: PP is generating within SNP checking horizon i.e PP is seating on 4th day which I don't want.
    Please suggest what settings to be maintained for my desired result.
    Thanks
    Prasanta

    Hi Prasanta,
    normally SNP heuristic enhance the validity of the source of supplies, i.e. here PDS or PPM considering the production horizon. Could it be that you are looking the data in interactive planning in local time zone hence you see it in the production horizon? What is the time you see in the detail view in interactive planning, is it 23:59:59 or something else?
    Could you please provide a screenshot of your data in planning book with the detail view opened on the order? Of course execute SNP heuristic before provide such screenshot.
    Best regards,
    Cyrille.

  • Error "SYSTEM FAILURE: - NULL" while configuring Planning 9.3

    Hello,
    I have installed Hyperion System 9 Planning 9.3.0.1 on Windows 2003 Server. SQL Server 2003 is the database. I have installed Shared Services 9.3 and Hyperion Administrative Services as well. System 9 BPM Architect has also been installed.
    My problem is, when I try to configure the " Data Source Configuration" under Planning. I am able to get to the page " Select the options for managing the Datasource"
    Create Datasource
    Next
    Datasource Name : Testdsn
    Datasource Description: Testing the DSN
    NextAs when I do the above procedure and click Next, I get Error " SYSTEM FAILURE: - NULL".
    Please any help in this regard is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance. :)

    Hi,
    Are you sure you re using SQL Server 2003? I thought only 2000 and 2005 were supported.

      Thanks for taking time and answering. So, how do I integrate the Org Chart iVIew with these Position Profile and Organizational Unit Profiles pages? We do not need all the iViews that come with these pages. We only need the following
    Position Profile
    - Employee Group/Subgroup
    - Holders

  • Hardware configuration planning

    We are migrating from Stellent 7.5.1 to UCM 11g and doing h/w capacity planning for new version. Want to know what are the parameters to do the capacity planning.
    We are assuming:
    - 200 concurrent users in 1 min, with the capacity to upload 5-8 mb of file upload by every user.
    - The uploaded document gets converted in to PDF and webviewable format.
    - The repository size of 1.5 TB with growth rate of 100 gb per quarter.
    Is there a way/calculation mechanism/tool helps to analyse the capacity of production server hardware configuration with the above mentioned usage and scenarios.
    What is the Oracle's minimum and recommended h/w configuration for a UCM11g.
    Thanks

    - The repository size of 1.5 TB with growth rate of 100 gb per quarter.In order to calculate the sizing more precisely you need to estimate also
    a) how many pages an approximate user will see (e.g. per minute) - this estimates UI activity
    b) how many checkins will occur (e.g. per minute) - is the 5-8 mb one bigger file or several smaller files?
    As a rule of thumb (if you don't know anything better), you may calculate that one license CPU can serve approx. 500 users, if their requirements do not contain anything special.
    In your particular case, it will be desirable to separate conversions; that is, install IBR on separate servers. With 200 docs of size 5-8 MB per minute (I used the available benchmark 10MB), the calculation sheet gives me the estimate of 195(!) Conversion Servers (if I used the other closest available benchmark, it gives me 20 CSs, so expect to be somewhere in between).
    Anyway, one thing is obvious: your project will be about mastering conversions.

  • Configuration planning Strategy task bwtn PP/SD Consultant

    Hello Consultant
    As we known, planning strategy is incdluing two elements( requirements type for PIR; Requirement type for customer requirement) path:SPRO>Production>Production Planning>Demand Management>Planned Independent Requirements>Planning Strategy>Define Strategy)
    In you experienced project, if PP consultant was in charge of config "Reqmts type for indep.reqmts" and SD Consultant shoud be in charge of Config"Reqmt type of customer reqmt "?
    or PP Consultant should be responsibled for two parts configuration? including(Reqmts type for indep.reqmts/Reqmt type of customer reqmt).
    Please advice.

    Edited by: benny zeng on May 20, 2010 10:26 AM

    Dear ,
    PP consultant is the in charge of Planning Strategy -Define Planning Strategy (SPRO) based on the Requirement Type(OVZH) and Requirement Class(OVZG)  for for sales Item categoery  under basic function of SD module .
    Now , most of the parametrs which have activated or relevent from sales side (Req.Transfer ,Account Assingment Categoery , Customer requirement type , Order Type etc) are configured in OVZG by SD consutnat  and same has been assinged to requirement type in ovzg .
    Once you did this , PP consultant will decide on the Planning Strategy group in SPRO-MRP-PIR and check wether respective parametrs are flowed in that strategy  .
    So i would rather say , its a combine effort based on the clinet requirement .

  • AIA FP 11.1.1.3 - Deployment Plan Generation for migrating from Dev to Test

    Hi All,
    Can you please validate the following from a Deployment from Dev to Test perspective. We have almost completed the development for an interface using AIA 11g, and are in the process of moving the interface from one instnace to another, and any help is highly appreciated.
    Let us the take Purchase Order Integration between a legacy application and Oracle Purchasing, File Adapter-> Requester ABCS -> EBS -> Provider ABCS -> DB Adapter, which is a classical flow.
    1. The Functional person defines a project in the Project Life Cycle Workbench
    2. Functional decomposition done through Purchase Prder Business Task, and Service Solution components for each composite in the classical flow
    3. The ABCSs are created by linking the corresponding Service Solution Components from the LCW using Service Contructor. These composite.xmls will have the annotation populated by the Service Constructor. It is okay for these composites to have concrete wsdls during development phase, but the concreate ones have to be replaced with abstract ones before geenrating deployment plans.
    4. The EBS is not changed, it will have the annotations prepopulated, and there is no need to add any annoations to them
    5. The File Adapter and DB Adapters (Transport Adapters?) have to be annotated based on the developer guide
    6. The xsds and wsdl go into the mds based using the scripts provided. Any other common components can also be placed into MDS.
    7. Once the development is done, Harvest the composites using the AIA Harvester.
    8. After harvesting, from the AIA LCW, Generate the BOM. If we harvest all the 5 composites for the Business Task together, and do Generate BOM, does it capture all the composites? Or do they capture only the composites created using the Service Constructor? Or we have to add all the compistes manually to the Business Task?
    9. Add Harvested Contents by Editing the BOM -> "Search and Add Existing Composite" option. We couldnt locate the "Add Harvested Composite" option while right clicking the Business Task.
    10. Once all the harvested composites have been added to the BOM, export as XML
    11. Using the BOM, generate the DeploymentPlan. The deployment plan will have references to the xsds and wsdls in the MDS
    12. Using the Deployment Plan and AID, deploy the composites into a new instanec.
    These are the questions I have,
    1. Is the above understanding correct?
    2. Since the MDS is in the Dev database, a pre-requisite for AID seems to be deployment of xsds and wsdls into the Test MDS schema. Can you please validate?
    3. What happens to the bpels, xsls, mplans etc? How do they move from one instance to another?
    Regards,
    Anish

    Hi Anish,
    Following are the responses -
    These are the questions I have,
    1. Is the above understanding correct?
    1. The Functional person defines a project in the Project Life Cycle Workbench - Yes
    2. Functional decomposition done through Purchase Prder Business Task, and Service Solution components for each composite in the classical flow - Yes
    3. The ABCSs are created by linking the corresponding Service Solution Components from the PLWB using Service Contructor. These composite.xmls will have the annotation populated by the Service Constructor. It is okay for these composites to have concrete wsdls during development phase, but the concreate ones have to be replaced with abstract ones before geenrating deployment plans.-Yes but location attribute in binding.ws section of composite.xml should always have concrete WSDL location.Use <replaceToken> in DeploymentPlan to replace the ip and port.
    4. The EBS is not changed, it will have the annotations prepopulated, and there is no need to add any annoations to them - Yes
    5. The File Adapter and DB Adapters (Transport Adapters?) have to be annotated based on the developer guide-Yes
    6. The xsds and wsdl go into the mds based using the scripts provided. Any other common components can also be placed into MDS.- Yes
    7. Once the development is done, Harvest the composites using the AIA Harvester.-Yes
    8. After harvesting, from the AIA PLWB, Generate the BOM. If we harvest all the 5 composites for the Business Task together, and do Generate BOM, does it capture all the composites? Or do they capture only the composites created using the Service Constructor? Or we have to add all the compistes manually to the Business Task?-The 5 composites created by you should have a corresponding service solution component defined.When you define a service solution component in PLWB then a GUID is generated in the database table.You need to retrieve that value and manually enter in the annotation section of composite.xml except for ABCS.Then only the BOM will contain information on all the composites.
    9. Add Harvested Contents by Editing the BOM -> "Search and Add Existing Composite" option. We couldnt locate the "Add Harvested Composite" option while right clicking the Business Task.*-Once you harvest it will be visible.*
    10. Once all the harvested composites have been added to the BOM, export as XML - Yes
    11. Using the BOM, generate the DeploymentPlan. The deployment plan will have references to the xsds and wsdls in the MDS - Yes
    12. Using the Deployment Plan and AID, deploy the composites into a new instance.-Yes
    2. Since the MDS is in the Dev database, a pre-requisite for AID seems to be deployment of xsds and wsdls into the Test MDS schema. Can you please validate?
    Yes the 'UpdateMetaData' section under 'Configurations' in the DeploymentPlan will upload XSDs, WSDLs, DVM,Xrefs into MDS.
    3. What happens to the bpels, xsls, mplans etc? How do they move from one instance to another?
    The 'Deployments' section will deploy the project into server and write the information into MDS.

  • Variant Configuration - Planning tables disappearing from planning profiles

    Hi everyone,
    I'm having a strange problem with some planning profiles I've set up in MDPH for several of our configurable products. I'm getting reports from our production planners that certain planning tables within these profiles are suddenly disappearing from the profiles, along with all the values they've input for those characteristics. This is apparently happening without anyone making any changes to the profiles.
    By way of background, I've recently created several new variant models (including planning profiles) for a new series of products, several of which share characteristics with the variants that are experiencing the problem I described. Is it possible that this might somehow be impacting the planning profiles of the old variants?
    Any help is greatly appreciated. We're running 4.6c, FYI.
    Thanks,
    - Greg

    Hello Anil,
    Thank you very much for your reply. I've read both notes you referenced and they seemed very promising in that the symptoms described match what we are seeing. Unfortunately, however, they don't seem to reflect the root cause of the problem I'm seeing. Our users are logging in in English, and we have English names for the characteristics in question. Also, we are on a later patch version (55) than the one that fixed this issue (51). So I don't think this one will help us to fix the issue.
    If you have any other ideas, please let me know. Thank you again for your help on this!
    Regards,
    - Greg
