Configure 2801 for 15 channel PRI

I'm new to configuring PRI's so excuse me if there is an obvious answer to my question. I recently purchased CUCM Business Edition and a 2801 router. I've configured the CM and the router and now have outbound calling working but cannot call in to any of the DID's. On the controller I did
pri-group timeslots 1-15 service mgcp
and i want to know if anyone knows if that is correct for a 15 channel partial PRI. Also if anyone has any ideas why I'd be able to make calls out but not receive calls. Any help greatly appreciated.
Here is part of the router config:

Configuring a Communication Channel for an Adapter Engine other than the default engine.
See:  help.sap.com for Communication Channel http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/1b/d5ef3b1ad56d4fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm
It states under 'Adapter Configuration', that you can specify the Adapter Engine you want to use in the Adapter Engine dropdown box.
I have activated the XI components on my ERP system using transaction SICF, but what do I have to do to make the other adapter engines show up in the dropdown list when configuring an adapter?
Maybe some background would be helpful:  This is for a scenario that will send a file from an external system to one of the ERP systems in our landscape.  BUT, the system admins have decided to revoke our FTP accounts (because they have their reasons), so I need to create a File Adapter that will drop the file on the file system of that ERP system, due to visibility I want to use the integrated Adapter Engine that comes with the ERP system, but need to know how/what I'm missing in setting up this scenario.

    Hi Anesh,
    >>>>but what do I have to do to make the other adapter engines show up in the dropdown list when configuring an adapter?
in order to use some other adapter engine you
have to install it first by dafault only one
(central) adapter engine is used and it is all
    most clients need
if you'd like to use some other adapter engine
(decentralized for example) have a look at thid guide:

  • AS2 ID for the involved parties while configuring Receiver AS2 channel

    Hi
I am testing AS2 receiver channel by by having a file sender channel to pick up the EDI file and send it to the receiver which is AS2. I configured all the necessary things like the sender agreement, receiver agreemet, certificates for receiver agreement. also configured MDN report channel and i am using the following in my AS2 channel
    server name: XXXXX
    Port: 50000
    url: /SeeburgerAS2/AS2Server
    under AS2
    Sign is enabled
    algorithm type : SHA-1
    encryption is enabled
    MDN mode: Synchronous
    Handle received MDN: No action.
but i am getting the folllowing error
    Message processing failed. Cause: javax.resource.ResourceException: Fatal exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: SEEBURGER AS2: 403 Forbidden # , SEEBURGER AS2: 403 Forbidden #
I have configured the parties for the 2 systems that i am connecting in both the systems and i am using them in either systems for AS2ID. still i am getting the above error.

mostly this error can come for following reasons
incorrect AS2 ID for involved parties, valid sender agreement is missing or can be possible that more then one AS2 sender agreements with the same sende and rec party has been created.
    Try to check all these

  • Possible to configure several communication channels for the same receiver?

    Hi,
is it possible to configure several communication channels for one (the same) receiver?
The problem is as follows: I would like to switch between the RFC-channel and the XI-channel, if the RFC-Adapter doesn't work for some reason.
The situation: Our XI3.0 posts messages to several receivers and the switch should be done by changing one table entry which is selected and analysed in an ABAP-Proxy and which could enrich the XML-message. By now, the only chance I see is to change the respective entries in the Integration Directory for each receiver separately.
    Thanks for your help, Peter.

    Hi,
    >>>>But to be honest: Is it elegant to double the receivers?
    of course not:)
but this is the only way I believe
(cause you cannot assign conditions to receiver agreements)
you could also create two messages (practically two flows)
but would it be more elegant?
    BTW
in my opinion you should try restarting RFC channel
and not create two - just in case...
if RFC doesn't always work why don't you use another one only?
this would just simplify your scenario (maintanance of just a number of communication channels and not 2 x number of communication channels)

  • Why can't I configure BFD for static routes on IAD2431 on ios 15.1(2)T when Feature Nav says its in there

I am trying to configure BFD for static routing on a 2431 running IOS 15.1(2)T to detect and route around simple multihoming faults.  According to Cisco Feature Navigator, BFD for static routes is supported on c2430-ik9o3s-mz.151-2.T.bin.  But when I follow the config guide steps to configure it, IOS does not recognize the commands, such as:
    ERC3-IAD2431-3(config)#int fa0/0
    ERC3-IAD2431-3(config-if)#bfd ?
    % Unrecognized command
    ERC3-IAD2431-3(config-if)#
    and:
    ERC3-IAD2431-3(config)#ip route static bfd fa0/0 172.19.113.241
% BFD is not supported on FastEthernet0/0
    ERC3-IAD2431-3(config)#
Am I missing some prerequisite, or restriction?

  • How to configure a port channel with VLAN trunking (and make it work..)

We're trying to configure a port channel group with trunked ports to connect a NetApp HA pair. We want to create two data LIFs and connect them to the switch stack.  We are trying to create 2 data lifs, one for cifs and one for nfs that are on different vlans.
We want the same ports to be able to allow multiple vlans to communicate. (trunked)
These data lifs should be able to fail over to different nodes in the HA pair and still be able to communicate on the network.
What this means is that we have to connect 4 ports each for each node in the NetApp HA Pair to the switches and create a port channel of some type that allows for trunked vlans. When we configure the ports, the configuration is as follows (below):
We are only able to configure an IP on one of the vlans.
When we configure an IP from another vlan for the data lif, it does not respond to a ping.
Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong on the Cisco switch?

  • How to make a good UI for channel selection using DAQmx

A lot of my Labview programming was with earlier verisons of labview (pre Labview 7), and there are a ton of new features that I'm trying to digest (currently using Labview 8.2).
My question is (in general terms), how are people programming their UI for selecting channels and such when using DAQmx hardware?  What I have in mind is a compacDAQ system with a number of modules.  The user would be able to pick and choose which channels to monitor.  Using MAX as part of that process seems counter intuative, and somewhat static (yeah I know you can change it there, but it feels more like something you would use for something that really doesn't change much).  I'd like all the UI to be within the VI.
Are programmers using the create task VIs for that or something else?
    Thanks in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I wholeheartedly second the motion to keep MAX out of the picture as far as users are concerned.
Setting up UI's for channel selection is a breeze in DAQmx when you create channels on the block diagram. The control you create off the Channels input will populate itself with the inputs that it knows are capable of performing the desired task...
<<< My configuration knows that my Module 5 is capable of doing Analog Input.
So... Just create a panel that waits for the user to select the proper channel. I also run a quick check of the user's selection before creating / starting the task. For example, if they choose ai30 or higher, and I know that the system isn't wired for those inputs, I'll not allow that selection. Also check for using two of the same input, etc.

  • How to configure EOIO for async RFC ----- SOAP scenario

    Hello Experts,
I have Async. RFC----->SAOP secnario. Problem is that when the target system is down the PI system do not recoginze it and send the message successfully to target system, where the target system is down and do not show those transaction in it.
I got the impression that , I have to make the QoS as EOIO and set up the queues in the PI.
So, I checked both the comm channel RFC Sender and SOAP recevier but i was not able to find the option where we can make the QoS to EOIO.
Do we need to mention the QoS in the SOAP URL in SOAP recevier comm channel . if yes please anyone can give me an example of that.
Or do we have other option in PI to identify that target system is down and we can queue up the msgs in PI.
    I would appreciate your responses.
    Thanks.

Problem is that when the target system is down the PI system do not recoginze it and send the message successfully to
target system, where the target system is down and do not show those transaction in it
No need to change the Qos in order to know the status of the target system.
Just configure alert for Adapter Engine...when the SOAP channel tries to send the message and if the target system is down and alert will be generated (Connection Exception: Connection refused).
This will indicate that the Target system is down....now it dpends on your business on what to do in such a case....to cancel the message or to restart it (from XI/ PI)
Making QoS as EOIO will cause the entire queue to get blocked...and hence the following messages will also get blocked and wont be delivered even if the target system is up and running.
    Regards,
    Abhishek.

  • Configuration/Setup for securing PI messages with certificates

    Hello Experts,
I'm looking for some guidance/suggestions/direction in regards to installing and using certificates when exchanging data with trading partners via PI 7.0.  It's something new to us and it's been a bit of a struggle.
In scenario 1, we want to send to, and receive from, xml documents with a partner.  We currently send from our PI system, but want to receive the messages back thru an F5 network (?) which would decrypt the message and pass it along to PI.  This also takes care of load-balancing.
In scenario 2, we want to exchange EDI messages using the AS2 Adapter from Seeburger.  Again, messages would be sent from PI and received by the F5 network.
The F5 would act as the SSL termination point (if that's the correct term), and pass the decrypted message to PI via a normal http transfer.
We are storing our partners' certificates within PI, and configuring the communication channels to use them.  Is this correct?  Do they need to be stored on the F5 as well?  Do we then give them our certificate from the F5, or do they need a certificate from our PI server, or both?
I guess what I'm looking for is some straight-forward SSL 101 documentation, especially where it applies to middleware like the F5.  Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

    Hi,
Just a quick note on the certificates; if you want to encrypt messages sent from PI you need the public key of the receiver stored in PI (J2EE key store) with which to encrypt the messages. When receiving files back from partners, they would need to encrypt the messages with the public key of F5 certificate. F5 would then use its private key to decrypt the message before passing to PI.
So, yes, you are correct to store the certificates of your partners in PI which will be used in encryption of outbound messages. F5 would only need the private keys of the certificate that your partners have encrypted with, no need for PI certificates to be stored in F5 (unless you also need digital signatures).
    Hope this helps.

  • Receiver Determination - Configuration Overview for Receiver Determination

    Hi All,
I was trying on some tutorial for Calling RFC(sender) and creating a File at Receiver site.
I've configured all the required setting at the Design: Integration Builder.
As for Configuration: Integration Builder. Until the Step where I required to setup the Receiver Determination, there is this part "Configuration Overview for Receiver Determination". where i have to maintain the "Receiver Service", else i will hit this error "Enter the receiver service".
The steps which i followed was :
    1. Create 2 Communication Channel for Sender/Receiver in the Business System.
    2. Create a Sender agreement.
    3. Create a Receiver agreement.
    4. Create a Interface determination.
    5. Lastly "Configure the Overview for Receiver Determination"  for   Receiver Determination
The problem which I'm facing now is I have nothing in the "Configure the Overview for Receiver Determination" at all even i have created the sender/receiver agreement and interface determination.
While some troubleshooting, under the If No Receiver Is Found, Proceed as Follows: I tried choosing the "Continue Message Processing with the Following Receiver" radio button and choose the Receiver for the Service then hit the save button.
The error "Enter the receiver service". pop up but now, the Receiver service was shown under the "Configure the Overview for Receiver Determination". When i try choosing back the "Terminate Message Processing with Error (Restart Possible) and hit the Save button. The Receiver service goes missing again.
Any Idea what happen ? or anything i missed out ? thanks in advance.

  • Configuring RMAN for dataguard.

    Hi all,
Here we have a dataguard environment with db1(db_unique_name) as primary and db2(db_unique_name) as physical standby database. For both primary and secondary the ORACLE_SID is 'oracledb'.We configured dataguard in 10g environments and we are not using grid control. And now we want to configure rman for incremental backups. We are using a third catalog database to which we registered from primary db successfully. During primary rman configuration it is showing conflicts. Even the changes made in primary RMAN configuration are applied on to the standby too which i think shouldn't happen in this scenario. How to resolve this issue? Is this happening because of the same ORACLE_SID for both primary and secondary? I'm attaching the link of the doc that we followed also the errors and configuration in rman. Can anyone help?

  • Help configuring PulseAudio for 2.1 on laptop [SOLVED]

    Hello
I've been trying to figure out how to properly configure PulseAudio for my laptop for the past couple of nights, but haven't had much luck.  I'm may be misunderstanding my laptop's audo setup correctly.  Seeing stuff like True 5.1, Dobly Home Theater, and Virtual SurroundSound confused me, but right now I think 5.1 is only for HDMI output (which I don't use).  My laptop has a so-called subwoofer and in alsamixer I have controls for front and lfe.
By default, pulseaudio chooses stereo, which sounds fine for anything that stereo or mono, but if I play a DVD in VLC I can barely hear voices and but hear parts of music and background sounds.
Also, for some reason if I run speaker-test -c 2 -t wav.  Front-left is loud and somewhat distorted while Front-right is really soft.  Yet it still sounds fine (to me) when listening to non-surround content.
Everything worked perfectly before pulseaudio was pulled in.
I tried following this post on manually loading the alsa sources and sink modules, but it didn't work.
Running pulseaudio in verbose mode showed that hw:0 doesn't support 3 channels and then defaults to stereo.
    default-sample-channels = 3
    default-channel-map = front-left,front-right,lfe
I also just tried the above in daemon.conf just to see what would happen but, it ignored it...
What am I doing wrong?  Am I going about this the wrong way?
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Update.
I got vlc to work right.  Yay!
    I deleted my .vlc directory
Then, manually set the output to alsa (and set Device to Default) which then ungrayed the Audio > Audio Device menu to select Stereo
    edit:
I noticed I loose audio in VLC if I pause or seek around too much...   Work around for now is to disable and reenable the audio.
looking with pavucontol vlc is still there, it just doesn't do anything.
anyway, this new problem is probably for a different thread

  • How to Configure Adapter for different environments?

    Hi
I wanted to know solution to a pratical problem. If a communication channel is created by configuring a adapter, how is the configuration managed for different phases of the life cycle  i,e when it goes from development to QA to Production. A adapter may need to be configured differently depending upon the environment it is in. I hope one doesn't have to change it every time it is taken from one environment to another. Is there any concept like properties file in XI?
    Vijay

    HI,
In general the Same evironment should be in both Dev and QA and also in Prod .
Whatever we developed in Dev environment , if you transport it to QA , the same should work, similarly in Prod also.
We have certain fecilities like cutomising the Communication channel with the Communication Channel Template. With this we can configure as per our needs.
Eventhough it is not sufficient to meet your BS requirement , then we need to have
Dynamic configuration see the below link for more details

    hi
    what is SBT here?
    CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE sbt PARALLELISM 3;
Channel Connections to Cluster Instances with RMAN
Channel connections to the instances are determined
using the connect string defined by channel configurations.
For example, in the following configuration, three channels are allocated using dbauser/pwd@service_name. If you configure the SQL Net service name with load balancing turned on, then the channels are allocated at a node as decided by the load balancing algorithm.
    CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE sbt PARALLELISM 3;
    CONFIGURE DEFAULT DEVICE TYPE TO sbt;
CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE SBT CONNECT 'dbauser/pwd@service_name'Edited by: nisha on Jun 6, 2011 12:27 AM

  • Scanning Access Points configured with JAPAN Channels

    Hi,
I have configured the below mentioned configuration for my Access Point. These wireless networks are not appearing in windows client network list. I have tried explicit scan also. Still it is not showing networks with 184,188 channels. But it is showing all remaining networks.
    Country code: JAPAN
SSID for WLAN 1: Wireless Network1
    WLAN 1 mode: 5 GHz 54Mbps (802.11a)
    WLAN 1 auto channel: Enabled
    WLAN 1 channel: 184 (4920MHz)
    WLAN 1 alt. channel: 188 (4940MHz)
SSID for WLAN 2: Wireless Network2
    WLAN 2 mode: 5 GHz 54Mbps (802.11a)
    WLAN 2 auto channel: Enabled
    WLAN 2 channel: 188 (4940MHz)
I am using CISCO AIRONET 802.11a/b/g WIRELESS ADAPTER. This problem can occur due to the following reasons.
    (1) Do I need to set any region settings at Adapter?
    (2) Does adapter firmware depends upon
country? How do I check the adapter firware?
    (3) Is there anything wrong with adapter vendor driver? Do I need to set anything in driver level for supporting JAPAN channels.
Anyone please help me to identify and resolve the above problem.
    Thanks

What channels are available? The 802.11b standard defines a total of 14 frequency channels. The FCC allows channels 1 through 11 within the U.S.; whereas, most of Europe can use channels 1 through 13. In Japan, you have only one choice: channel 14.
An important concept to note regarding channel assignments is that the channel actually represents the center frequency that the transceiver within the radio and access point uses (e.g., 2.412 GHz for channel 1 and 2.417 GHz for channel 2). There is only 5 MHz separation between the cente frequencies, and an 802.11b signal occupies approximately 30 MHz of the frequency spectrum. The signal falls within about 15 MHz of each side of the center frequency. As a result, an 802.11b signal overlaps with several adjacent channel frequencies. This leaves you with only three channels (channels 1, 6, and 11 for the U.S.) that you can use without causing interference between access points.
