Configure Web Applications generic error.

I am installing MBAM 2.5 on a virtual server following the SCCM Integration topology directions and have the DBs created, Integration feature installed on the SCCM Primary Site Server, both
mof files configured but I cannot get past a very generic error message.
I have the yellow caution triangle beneath the check box for "Use System Center Configuration Manager Integration" that states "If you select this check box, the System Center
Configuration Manager Integration feature must be installed in your environment." As stated above, this feature is installed. When I select the Next option to proceed to the Summary step, I get an alert at the top of the screen stating "MBAM
Configuration could not locate one or more configuration items." When I select "Click to View" on that alert it simply states "Multiple errors have occurred. Error: the operation has failed." (very helpful)
I have worked with my DBAs and they see the activity going through on the SQL server, I can access the reporting services URL via IE on the server without a credential request, and have had
a few sets of eyes check the spelling on every field. All accounts have also been checked for proper rights.
I have been spinning my tires on this for a few days and have exhausted all of my "google-fu" skills. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

I know this is an old thread, but I'll remark as to what I've found. In these cases for the generic error, you'll need to review the logs from the Event Viewer. Under Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > MBAM-Setup.
In my particular situation, my problem was "...the underlying connection was closed: could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel".
Long story short, I discovered that my SRS instance for ConfigMgr was trying to use an expired certificate. It was able to be resolved by
deleting the old SSL cert, then updating the SSL Certificate for the Web Service URL within the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.

We can check the FPN using remote role assignment.
1. Open you EP (Consumer)
2. Go to User Administration
3. In Search Criteria, select Role in the first field, in second field select "system alias of your producer" and put * in last filed
4. Click Go
You should get all the roles of your producer on your consumer. This functionality is used for Remote Role assignment.
This is simplest way to check whether FPN is working fine or not.

but for the trial version which SAP has provided there is no TOMCAT server in that
and when i check my Central Configuration Manager there is just one service (Server Intelligence Agent) running and if I see the details like manage server then no service of TOMCAT is listed there
Do i need to install TOMCAT separately bcoz my BusinessObject Edge Series server is working fine

MDS Configuration Manager Create Web Application = Unexpected Error, Keyset does not exist (HRESULT: 0x80090016)

we are having Problems installing MDS on new sever.
Server: Windows 2008 R2
SQL Server 2012 SP1 (Developer Edition)
In the Master Data Services Configuration Manager Wizard ...
- DB Creation (Database Configuration) was succesfull
- But we are stucked in the "Web Configuration", "Create Application" failes in both cases (Choose "Create new Website" or choose existing site like "Default Web Site")
Error Message is alwasy:
Unexpected Error - An unexpected error occurred: Keyset does not exist (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80090016)
Any ideas? Are there any Extended logs created by Wizard activity? Windows Application Eventlog Shows nothing!

Just a gut feel. The issue may lie within IIS. I base this upon the fact that your database was created. The second part, the web configuration is related to IIS. SQL Server 2012 should be set up with IIS7 or better still IIS8.
This said..
Is IIS installed correctly? You can always de-install it and re-install it via the programs / windows features option off of the control panel.
Out of curiosity, did you by any chance have a previous 'bad install' of MDS. If so this may be a registry issue. When one starts talking 'Keyset', the registry comes to mind. A orphan keyset which is being called.
Also remember that in setting up the web application, that the installation will ask you for a User ID and password. If you are like us, our passwords change each 6 weeks and this create problems with bringing up the Master Data Manager AFTER a password
change. In fact I have often resorted to creating a 'new web site' with each password change BEFORE I decided to opt for using a Process ID, with an non expiring password to do your web configuration.
I do not know if I have answered your question, just a gut feel. Please do let us know if the steps that I mentioned resolve your issue.

I installed and coonfigured the weblogic server as development with single instance using template #2: Basic webLogic Server Domain 8.1.4.0
I am getting the following error when I deploy a new web application - myapp.war
"java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/logging/LogFactory"
I have all the jar files in /usr/bea/user_projects/domains/mydomain/myserver/stage/_appsdir_myapp_war/myapp.war/WEB-INF/lib
I also put log4j-1.2.8.jar file in ../weblogic81/common

ADF Web applications give error when parent is set to "orabpel"

Hi all,
i use the application server 10.1.3.1 of the SOA 10.1.3,
i try to deploy an ADF web application that uses the BPEL APIs,
in the server.xml, i set the application parent to 'orabpel',
when i start the application by launching the first jspx page i got the following error
that i found in the 'global-application.log':

i have a normal web application with jsps pages (not jspx) with parent set to orabpel and it's working great.
please i am stuck on this it's been 2 days does anybody have any clue?

Firstly, let’s verify the followings:
Please create a new library at the site, then add three managed columns into it, test again, compare the result.
Whether this issue occurred in other sites with the same site collection.
Please test in another site collection, check if this issue occurs.
In addition, please make sure Managed Metadata web service is started in Mange services on server.
And also make sure the managed metadata service is connected to the web application that you used as CA->Application management->manage web application->your web application->Service Connections.

IPhoto 09 facebook uploader application generic error

when I hit the facebook uploader button on the bottom of the screen the pop down that says "do you want to set up iphoto to publish to facebook?" appears and I click the "setup" button and a second popup appears with a login page, I input my facebook email/username and my password and hit login...
then it loads a page that reads, "An error may have occurred as part of the login process. You can close this window and try returning to the application, though it may ask you to login again. This is likely due to a bug in the application."
I've tried repairing my keychain, blocking and then unblocking the app via facebook, nuking various plist files. I haven't found a solution and haven't seen mention of a similar problem on the web. HELP!

In addition, please make sure that the port 443 is not blocked by the firewall.
Web Application Proxy requires internal name resolution to resolve the names of backend servers, and AD FS servers. When publishing web applications via Web Application Proxy, every web application you publish requires an external URL. For clients to reach
these web applications, a public DNS server must be able to resolve each external URL that you configure. Note that the external URL must resolve to the same IP address as the Web Application Proxy server, or the external IP address of a firewall or load-balancer
placed in front of the Web Application Proxy server.

You are getting the exception at very first point of Pipeline Service i.e Receiver Determination, do compare the namespace, Sender Interface Name & Sender Service name with the payload you are sending from web-application, they must be exactly same.
The best way to get the test payload is suggested in above reply.

Create a configurable Web Interfaces

Good Afternoon,
I would like to build a Web application using JSP, Servlets and Struts. However I want that the users could configure their interfaces once they are logged. By configuring interface, I mean that a user could choose to hide/show an input of a form and chose if this input is read-only or not.
I've though it would be a good idea of using a simple XML configuration file for each user to do that like this one :

hello, ive also started to build a web site that will allow some configuration.
But im using a bd to store all info for the web site.
I dont know how good it is to use xml file or struct to configure dynamicaly since i dont use/know how to use this technologie.
As for the bd case, you need at least 1 table per web page and some info to identifie eatch user parameters, also, you could need to keep a table with user login/info as to identifie them.
To keep the language for every user, you may need to put extra field in eatch web page table.

Sessions across Web Applications (WARs)

I've heard that you can't share session information (http session) across web applications or war files in the j2ee framework. However, I haven't seen any proof of this? I'm struggling to find information telling that I can't do this. Can someone elaborate a bit?

separate JVM is started for each web-app! No way. Run
any appserver and do a 'ps -ef|grep java' and I bet
you will see only one forever :-). Correct
Steve, it is the classloader hierarchy in all
appservers that prevents you from sharing sessions (i
would say classes loaded by various web-apps). There
is something called a web-app / WAR classloader, which
is 4th in the hierarchy of JVm classloader hierarchy.
Since all your web-app loaded classes are loaded by
this classloader and since each web-app has a "peer"
classloader at same level for its own web-app, you
will never be able to share across web-apps. Incorrect, just because you can have separate classloaders for separate web applications does not mean that those web applications cannot share instances.
It is also possible to have classes which are globally available to ALL web applications which are loaded as part of the servlet container. Tomcat versions 4+ have a common area where classes can be made available. These classes are not loaded within the Web Application classloader at all.
Not only that but it is possible to configure web application contexts such that they can also share things like sessions. This feature is definitely part of the Apache Tomcat release and as this is taken by Sun to be the Reference Implementation of the Servlet Container I would assume that is also part of the J2EE Standard as well.
YOu can always use the DB stuff that other genltmen
has already suggested.
