Hai everyone,
I have installed weblogic 10.3.4 and configured a cluster with two members.
Now i want to do load balancing & failover for my cluster and also want to set the weight for each cluster members.
please guys help me to resolve this one...

  • Configuring Keystore for clusted WL 10.3 (OSB).

In one of test env i have weblogic 10.3 (OSB) Admin with 6 managed servers. In order to configure one way SSL,Do we need to configure keystore (Identity&Trust) only for admin or for all managed servers individually?
    help is much appriciated.
    Regards,
    Sreepad

But configuring keystore in weblogic console is more like deploying any app, so doing it on admin wiil not help? Where did you see that? It is not correct. Configuring keystore is a part of Weblogic configuration and it is not a deployment. Moreover, each and every server has it's own configuration so you have to mention the keystore path in all server's config, however you may use same keystore for all the servers.
Remember, in clustered deployment, OSB gets deployed on the cluster and not on admin server.
also can we use WLST for configurng keystore?I think we can create and configure complete domain itself using WLST, so this will also be possible.

  • Determining Cluster Members Using a NamedCache

Is it possible to get the cluster members using a particular NamedCache?
Is it possible to add a listener which listens for members getting/returning (ensure/release) a particular NamedCache?
Is there a concept of groups within a cluster membership? Some way of both indicating what a particular node will be doing (say if you wanted to have a "nodata" member which held no objects in its partition and a "data" member which did hold the objects and could have the same configuration file, only somehow give it the parameter to indicate which an instance would be) as well as identify it from the cluster info (get all cluster members of the "data" type)?

    1) It's possible to get all cluster members that are
using (or providing storage for) a given cache
service:Excellent. Just what I was looking for.
More generally, starting with Coherence 3.2, there
are number of <aThis is what we need. I used storage enabled as an example, but we want to have roles for cluster members, so this is the better solution. We're currently on 3.0, but I guess this is a good impetus to upgrade.

  • Possible to have multiple cluster members in the same JVM (for unit tests)?

    Hi,
I'm wondering if it's possible to simulate multiple cluster members inside of a single JVM. I'm looking to unit test my code and it would be great to write cases for various boundary conditions.
This could certainly be done with multiple JVMs but would be more difficult to run in something like cruise control etc.
    TIA,
    Danny

    Hi Danny,
I do not know how to accomplish what you are asking for and run several Coherence nodes in a single JVM, but I have written a JUnit base class that starts a configurable number of nodes (each in its own JVM) and provides some other useful methods for unit/integration testing with Coherence, such as method to clear all caches or to load test data from the CSV file.
It is still a work in progress and you might need to tweak things a bit to make it work in your environment, but it will at least give you a head start.
Shoot me an email if you are interested and I'll send it to you (you can find my email in my profile).

  • Hardware Configuration recommendation for SOA/BPM/OSB 11.1.1.5 Cluster

    Hi,
Want to find out what is the recommended hardware configuration including Memory on the box. Trying to install a 2 Node Cluster of SOA 11.1.1.5 with SOA/BPM, BAM, OSB part of the same domain. All binaries to be installed on a NAS. OS is HP-UX. How much memory is ideal on each box if running SOA Service / BPM workflows and processes,BAM,OSB, Custom ADF Task Flow Apps with a large number of transactions. SO wondering what is an ideal configuration. IS there a matrix or a some kind of spreadsheet to come up with the numbers.
    Thanks

Unfortunately there is no simple way to figure this out. The recommendation varies on the basis of multiple factors (from load to avg size of the payload). Please contact your local Oracle Sales Representative and they should help you out in identifying the best possible configuration/sizing for your system.

  • Configuring Active-Passive cluster for Oracle Database on Red hat

Can I configure the red hat cluster suite to implement an Active-Passive Oracle Service without configuring GFS Volume manager?
In other words, I want to install Oracle Standard Edition for Red hat on 2 node separately. Subsequently I am creating an Oracle Instance on the firsth node whith Oracle datafile, redologfile, controlfile, initfile on a SAN Storage. Subsequently I want to configure red hat cluster suite to start the Oracle Instance on the second node when the the firsth node fail. Only one node at time have the Oracle Instance up. Does this configuration works correctly or I have to install and configure any software to manage shared storage file system(like GFS Volume Manager or OCFS, ASM ecc.)?
    Thanks

This scenario is usually done through custom scripts.
To get an idea of what is required, I recommend you look through Oracle's DataGuard documentation, as Data Guard is a free utility included in the Enterprise Edition to do exactly what you want.
(Having spent a lot less money to buy the less expensive product, you now have the opportunity to spend more in programmer and maintenance costs to create your own solution.)

  • IPlanet Plug-in does not recognize all cluster members

We are running 7 WLS 6.1 SP2 server instances on two Solaris 2.8 machines. (3 on
machine A , 4 on machine B). The admin server is also running on Machine A.
All the cluster members appear to join the cluster correctly on startup, at least
as far as the WLS console shows. No logged errors.
We are using the IPlanet 6.0, sp4 with the Weblogic NSAPI plug-in to load-balance
              across the cluster.
However the Plug-in will only recognize the server instances on machine A or machine
B during any one life of the IPlanet. We can never get the plug-in to recognize
all instances at one time, only on one machine or the other. We can see this from
              the results of a __WebLogicBridgeConfig.
Using same configuration WLS configuration, run where machine A and B are domains
on the same physical machine uses both A and B servers.
We suspect this has to do with a multicast problem, running MulticastTest between
machines A and B fail to receive messages.
              My questions are,
              A) Why would we be seeing all server instances as having successfully joined the
              cluster, if multicast is failing?
              B) How would multicast have any effect on how the NSAPI plug-in sees the cluster
              members?
              C) Why would the cluster instances seen by the NSAPI plug-in alternate between
machine only A or B, after each shutdown and start-up ?
              WLS 6.1 SP2 on Solaris 2.8, IPlanet 6.0 sp4.

I am seeing a similar problem. I have three machines - each with four managed servers running on them. All 12 servers in the cluster are are specified in the obj.conf for NSAPI. Only eight of the servers get used, however. The wierd part is that machine1 contains managed servers 1, 4, 7, and 10. Machine 2 contains managed servers 2, 5, 8, and 11. Machine 3 contains managed servers 3, 6, 9, and 12. In the obj.conf, we list the machines in ourder 1 to 12 for the cluster. For some reason the NSAPI is skipping managed servers 3, 6, 9, and 12. I have checked both the connectivity for the ip and the port. The fire wall seems fine.
Did you ever get a response or figure out what was causing this problem.
              Thanks,
              Mark

  • How to configure mwi for GDM (general delivery mailbox)

    Hello everyone
I'm trying to configure mwi for GDM and am not having much success. I tried a couple of different ways suggested in a discussion here:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3091135?tstart=0 but don't think I,m doing this the right way.
This is what the thread states:
x511 is a shared line with a corresponding GDM mailbox   (mine is x1007)
    x512 is a blast group with members x501 (phone A), x502 (phone B), and x503 (phone C)  *****I took 1008
x511 is call forward all to 512
The blast group at 512 forwards on no answer to voicemail
    x511 is assigned as a button on each of phones A, B & C
When an incoming call comes in to x511 it is immediately forwarded to the blast group at 512, and as a result, x501, x502, and x503 ring.  After 15 seconds (or whatever the no answer timer is set to), the call goes to voicemail.  Because the call went to x511 first, it winds up in mailbox 511.  After the message is left, an MWI ON message is generated for x511, which results in the envelope icon being displayed next to the x511 button on each of phones A, B and C.
Therefore If I change this to my configurations I think it would go like this:
When an incoming call comes in to x1007(GDM) it is immediately forwarded to the blast group at 1008, and as a result, x1001, x1002, and x1003 and 1004 ring.  After 15 seconds (or whatever the no answer timer is set to), the call goes to voicemail.  Because the call went to x1007 first, it winds up in mailbox 1007.  After the message is left, an MWI ON message is generated for x1007, which results in the envelope icon being displayed next to the x1007 button on each of phones A, B and C.
    Here is what I tried:
1: Configured GDM at extension 1007 and shared the extension to phones ext: 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004 (instead of above mentionned x511). This extension works and can retrieve GDM no problem.

    hold-alert 30 originator
2: Not sure what a blast group is but I believe it to be a parallel hunt group. Is this correct???
ex: voice hunt-group 2 parallel (This will make all included phones dial at same time correct???)

    voice hunt-group 2 parallel

pilot ???  (not sure what to put here, i think it should be the pilot number 1008 correct???)
    pilot 1008
Therefore this is what i got:
    voice hunt-group 2 parallel
    list 1001,1002,1003,1004
    pilot 1008
Now I believe I need to create the dial-peer 1008 correct???
    dial-peer voice 1008 voip
description [-[ Hunt Blast Group ]-]
    destination-pattern 1008
    session protocol sipv2
    session target ipv4:10.1.10.1
    dtmf-relay sip-notify
    codec g711ulaw
    no vad
Next I think I have to create ephone-dn for the hunt blast group correct???
    ephone-dn  9  dual-line

call-forward noan 1999 timeout 3    *****Should call forward all 1999 which is my voice mail correct ???
    hold-alert 30 originator
Then last I would configure lines on the phones pointing to the ephone-dn 9 on all listed phones correct??? or am I totally lost?...lol
    ex: ephone  4
    device-security-mode none
    mac-address 0018.19B9.35BE

    codec g729r8
    type 7961
    button  1:3 2:5 3:8 4:9  ***4:9 is the one correct???
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

Thanks very much for the help Rob. This command does indeed take care of having my GDM
light up but now if I try to send a message to the main phone line x1001 and leave a
message it only has the enveloppe now and doesn't light up...lol
It is a great command to know though...thanks a lot
Any chance you know if I can have both the main line and the GDM light up when they receive messages in their respective extensions?
    ex:
    ephone 4
    device-security none
    mac-address aaaa.aaaa.aaaa
    username "operator"
    type 7961
mwi-line 3   ****In my case this lights up the 1007 which is the GDM mailbox
    or
mwi-line 1   ***now my main x will light up but not the GDM...lol
button 1:3 2:5 3:8     ***Now for the personal mailbox
    ephone-dn  3  dual-line
    number 1003 no-reg primary
    label Operator-x1003
    description Operator
    name Sylvie Bombardier
    call-forward busy 1999
call-forward noan 1999 timeout 10   ****worst comes to worst i'll get rid of the operator personal mailbox and call-forward all to GDM 1007 on that phone
    translation-profile incoming no-prefix
Thanks very much again for your help. If you have any other ideas please feel free to add. I am definitely close to wrapping this issue. Funny cisco didn't configure GDM to also light up the phone extensions included in the GDM like the personal mailboxes when they receive messages.
Thanks very much again for the help. I really appreciate it.

    Hi,
The configuration file is a file with extension .cscfg. If you have Visual Studio, the file is automatically generated when you create the project, and automatically updated when you modify the project's properties.
      >> Not sure were could I get content of this file from api?
It's needed to encode this file's content use base64, and put the result in the body of your request. (Please refer to
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/ee758710.aspx for more information.)
      >> <ChangeConfiguration xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/windowsazure">

However, may I know how you find the body for your request? (It seems you do a base64 decoding, you find it is a valid configuration file, but it doesn't have any configuration settings.) Actually, the settings defined in csdef needed to
be contained in the configuration file.

  • How to configure Rman for Grid 11g

    hi all
    i am using Oracle Grid 11g R2.

can anyone guide me how to configure Rman?

    hi
    what is SBT here?
    CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE sbt PARALLELISM 3;
Channel Connections to Cluster Instances with RMAN
Channel connections to the instances are determined
using the connect string defined by channel configurations.
For example, in the following configuration, three channels are allocated using dbauser/pwd@service_name. If you configure the SQL Net service name with load balancing turned on, then the channels are allocated at a node as decided by the load balancing algorithm.
    CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE sbt PARALLELISM 3;
    CONFIGURE DEFAULT DEVICE TYPE TO sbt;
CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE SBT CONNECT 'dbauser/pwd@service_name'Edited by: nisha on Jun 6, 2011 12:27 AM

  • How to configure users for internal mail routing only

    Hi Guys!
I have a scenario here that i have three (3) group of users, one group is able to have an inbound and outbound mail, meaning they can send and recieved emails from internal and external. The second group of users should have inbound mail(local mail) only (cannot send and recieved mails from internet), and the third (3) user is they can recieved an outbound mail but they are not allowed to send mail directly to the client,(Ex. [email protected],[email protected],[email protected]) instead they will use the [email protected] as the reply to the client. Please let me know how to configure group user 2 and 3.
    Thank you.
    regards,
    LRMCP

    Hi LRMCP,
Procedure is perfect which is given by Benoit, just elaborating steps.
    Prevent form Sending Mails:
Create a transport rule on Hub Transport Server:
Organization Configuration -> Hub Transport -> Transport Rules -> New Transport Rule -> Give Name “Group2 - No Internet Mail”
Conditions: select "From a member of a distribution list" & select group "Group2"
Select another condition "Sent to users inside or outside the organization" & Select Outside.
Actions: select "send bounce message to sender with enhanced status code" & write your custom message like “You are not authorized to send mails to internet”
    Prevent from Receiving Mails:
New User: You can select “require that senders are authenticated” while creating new users which will stop receiving mails from internet.
User -> properties -> Mail Flow Settings -> Message Delivery Restrictions -> Properties -> set Sender Authentication.
    For Existing Users:
You have already a group named "Group2" so set sender authentication for all members with this single command.
    Get-DistributionGroup "Group2" | Set-Mailbox -RequireSenderAuthenticationEnabled $true
Same procedure mentioned for group2 can be followed for Group3 to prevent from sending mails.

  • Configuring WAR-Scoped Cluster Nodes Error

I did a test following the guide: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15357_01/coh.360/e15829/cweb_wls.htm#BABCDJGC
    2.2.5.3 Configuring WAR-Scoped Cluster Nodes
i deploy coherece.jar and active-cache.jar, the following errors occurs at weblogic console
"Issues were encountered while parsing this deployment to determine module type. Assuming this is a library deployment."
but I can deploy them successfuly and ignore errors.
but then I deploy the test war app, deployment will be failed with following errors:
Caused By: weblogic.management.DeploymentException: Error: Unresolved Webapp Lib
    rary references for "ServletContext@1391083548[app:CoherenceWeb module:Coherence

    n-Name: coherence, exact-match: false], [Extension-Name: active-cache, exact-mat
    ch: false]
My question is how to fix it?

Unfortunately, a WAR cannot refer a jar deployed as a share library in WebLogic. This is a limitation that will hopefully be fixed in future versions of WebLogic.
For no you will have to either package your application as an EAR, or bundle the coherence.jar inside your WAR under WEB-INF/lib/.
    Hope that helps.

  • What is behind the scenes of "Automatic Discovery of Cluster Members?"

Do any of you know the basic mechenism ( or concept ) of authomatic discovery of cluster members?
And how can we be confident that an application deployed anywhere on the network (LAN,WAN, or the Internet) can join a cluster?
Sorry for this clumsy question, but I realy need to know this.
    Thanks in advance!
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
Coherence uses a protocol called TCMP which is described in the following Wiki article:
    http://wiki.tangosol.com/display/COH32UG/Network+Protocols
By default, multicast is used to discover if a cluster is already running that the new member may join.
In order to test multicast in your environment, you need to run the multicast test:
    http://wiki.tangosol.com/display/COH32UG/Multicast+Test
Some environments don't allow multicast or some switches don't handle multicast very well, in which case you'd need to run using WKA (Well Known Address):
    http://wiki.tangosol.com/display/COH32UG/well-known-addresses
    Regards,
    Jon Hall.
p.s. once you've confirmed that clustering is taking place (either using the default of multicast or using WKA), then you should run the datagram test to test your network's performance:
    http://wiki.tangosol.com/display/COH32UG/Datagram+Test
Also, check out the production checklist as this has lots of really good information in it that will be useful going forward:
    http://wiki.tangosol.com/display/COH32UG/Production+Checklist
