Configuring Oracle B2B to Receive Inbound PIDX invoices with RNIFV02.00

Hi,
I am trying to do an inbound PIDX Invoice Version 1.0 wrapped inside RNIF.
Steps that I have done so far.
1. Create a new Version under RosettaNet - V02.00
2. Create a new Document Definition PayableInvoice
3. Created a new Definition for PayableInvoiceTypeDef
4. We then create a new Agreement from the our FromTP to Our Client
5. Selected the RNIF Partner level channel for FromTP and configured the httpReceiver at the url level.
6. Save, Validate and Deploy.
When we do a post over http to the http Receiver, I am receiving the following error

Sai,
Please log a SR with support to get a patch which will allow you to configure identification xpath expression and value for RosettaNet document definitions. After applying that patch, configure the identification xpath in document definition and then run a test.
This patch is already available so it won't take much time for support to provide you the same.

Anuj

  • Does Oracle B2B supports file (inbound and outbound) via Odette FTP?

    I am unable to find any documentation on whether B2B can receive/send files via OFTP. If it is supported, please point me to any documentation on this topic.
    Thanks

    Thanks Rafael! I have reached out to the Oracle B2B Product Development to provide an enhancement. What is your email id in case I need more details about the open source product? I visited your web site. I am unable to download the APIs since I do not have SVN. Is there a location where I can download it as a compressed zip file?

  • How to configure oracle 6i report server run time component with application server

    we got oracle 6i report server for developing the web based reports for our undergoing product. we r succesed in developing the web based reports using oracle 6i report server.But we r facing problems while deploying the product with oracle reports at clients place,why because the client does not have the oracle 6i report server. To solve this problem we have to configure the oracle 6i report server run time component with application server at client side , but we are unable to configure this component(that is CGI handler).

    You can run multiple instances of Reports Server in 6i.
    In tnsnames.ora, for each server, have a different name and each listening to different port.
    For example,
    server1.world = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(Host = myhost.mydomain.com)(Port = 1949))
    server2.world = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(Host = myhost.mydomain.com)(Port = 1950))
    Also, if you want to know about Reports Server Clustering, you may refer to "Publishing Reports" document on OTN:

  • Does Oracle E-Biz 11i support intercompany Invoice with a negative line?

    We are using Oracle E-Biz GL/AP/AR/FA (Oracle E-Biz 11.5.2.10). Now we are facing this issue: When we create an intercompany Invoice with a negative line it does not generate proper inter-company entries.
    For eg:
    Invoice Amount 1000 for company1
    Distribution:
    Company2.account.company1 : 300
    Company3.account.company1 : 300
    Company4.account.company1 : 500
    Company5.account.company1 : -100
    when transfer to GL process is done following entries are generated.
    Company1.Liab account.company1 Credit 1000
    Company2.Exp account.company1 Debit 300
    Company3.Exp account.company1 Debit 300
    Company4.Exp account.company1 Debit 500
    Company5.Exp account.company1 Credit 100
    on posting following Intercompany transactions are generated.
    Company2.Interco Payable account.000 Cr 300
    Company3.Interco Payable account.000 Cr 300
    Company4.Interco Payable account.000 Cr 500
    Company5.Interco Recievable account.000 Dr 100
    Company1.Interco Recievable account.000 Dr 1000
    where as the correct entry should be :
    Company2.Interco Payable account.company1 Cr 300
    Company3.Interco Payable account.company1 Cr 300
    Company4.Interco Payable account.company1 Cr 500
    Company1.Interco Payable account.company5 Cr 100
    Company5.Interco Recievable account.company1 Dr 100
    Company1.Interco Recievable account.company2 Dr 300
    Company1.Interco Recievable account.company3 Dr 300
    Company1.Interco Recievable account.company4 Dr 500
    Have you faced this kind of issue? Does Oracle support intercompany Invoice with a negative line (credit)? If 11i doesn't support this feature, does Oracle E-Biz 12 support this feature?
    Your insights will be very helpful.

    Hi,
    Now we are trying to convert the 11g-Database UTF-8 characterset to AL32UTF8 characterset.Why do you need to change the database characterset?
    As per metalink Notes, there is no very clear steps on how to deal with Apps Environment after DB characterset change using CSALTER.Did you go through these documents?
    Note: 788156.1 - AL32UTF8 / UTF8 (Unicode) Database Character Set Implications
    Note: 260192.1 - Changing the NLS_CHARACTERSET to AL32UTF8 / UTF8 (Unicode)
    Note: 124721.1 - Migrating an Applications Installation to a New Character Set
    Note: 225912.1 - Changing the Database Character Set ( NLS_CHARACTERSET )
    1) After DB characterset change, do we have to run Autoconfig, after editing the DB XML file to reflect new characterset value.Yes.
    2) Does the same apply to Application CONTEXT file also for APPL_TOP, etcAre you also changing the application tier characterset? However, I would say you will have to run AutoConfig in both cases.
    3) when shud we run adadmin- filesystem cahracterset conversion. Before or after autoconfig.Run the "Convert character set" via adadmin, then run AutoConfig -- See "Oracle® Applications Maintenance Utilities" manual for details.
    Also i am facing issues in connecting to sqlplus from applmgr user after the DB characterset change.
    It just core-dumps.Did you implement all the steps mentioned in the documents? What is the complete error message? What does "echo $NLS_LANG" return as oracle and applmgr users?

  • Inbound PIDX 1.2 With RNIF V2.0

    Hi,
    We are trying to configure an Inbound PIDX Invoice V1.2, with RNIF V2.0.
    Here are my questions.
    1. Can we read the PIDX invoice as a Generic File or should I need to get it over http or https? As per the documentation, RNIF is supposed to support multiple transport protocols.
    2. I tried the file, by removing the RNIF wrappers, seems to be working fine. But, when I include the wrapper and at the From-TP level, I configure the listening channel to RNIF 2.0, Saved the Agreement, Validated and redeployed.

    Sai,
    You can not create Listening Channels with channel protocol as RNIF 2.0. Only partner channel can be of type RosettaNet V02.00. Please refer -
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10229/bb_listen_chan.htm#BAJJICJJ
    If you want B2B to handle the RNIF headers (as per RNIF specification) then use HTTP transport (RosettaNet V02.00 channel) otherwise if you will use Generic File then B2B will treat the incoming message as a normal XML/Flat File.

  • Configuring Oracle EAServer 10g 10.1.2.0.2 with Eclipse

    Hi ,
    Am working on a JAVA/J2EE/Struts application using Eclipse 3.1 and am using
    Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server 10.1.2.0.2 for deploying the application. Currently am building my application to an ear file and then deploying it manually on the Application Server control to run it every time. Becouse of this am not able to debug the application through eclipse. I need to know whether we can configure Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g 10.1.2.0.2 Enterprise Application Server with Eclipse 3.1 just as we are doing with eclipse tomcat or eclipseweblogic so that i can directly run or debug the application from Eclipse instead of creating a an ear and deploying it to the server to run it. Am using Oracle application server for the first time.
    I tried searching but couldnt find any relevant document /info on this. I got some info on configuring Oracle 10g Application Server 10.1.3 with eclipse,but none about 10.1.2.0.2.
    Any help regarding this is appreciated
    Thanks in advance
    grate

    Hi Steve,
    Thanks for your reply. Am new to Oracle application server. The version that i mentioned ie. 10.1.2 was already installed in my laptop when i got it for working. Am configuring the deployment and JNDI services after i start the sever and bring up the server control through IE after entering the username and password. So i couldnt understand the relevance of a standalone server at this point, and i am new to the name OC4J , why is it called so?(am sorry if am asking any stupid question, but to be frank i dont know any thing about oracle application server untill i came across it recently ) . The document that you followed is the same one that me too found while searching in net. But i couldnt follow the steps becouse in eclispe when i tried to configure the server runtime its throwed error saying it couldnt find any folder in the 10.1.2 installion directory named "...../home/j2ee" . But there was a folder called J2ee in my oracle installion folder so i just tried to map it, but it again throwed error saying "couldnt find asm.jar in j2ee/lib " . So am stuck up at this point.Should i go for oracle 10.1.3 or OC4J as you mentioned? Please give me some insights regarding this.

  • Unable to transform EDI document to XML payload in Oracle B2B inbound op

    Hi,
    In our current project we would be implementing Oracle B2B.So I am doing simple POC on Oracle B2B inbound operation for a EDI document for a project requirement.Facing issue if Transformation option selected in Oracle B2B console. Would really appreciate if you guys give me some pointer..
    Below is short desacription of POC:
    1) Created ECS file for Purchase Order(EDI_X12 Standard, 850, Version : 4010) in Spec Builder 6.6.0
    2) Created corresponding XSD and dummy test EDI data file(.dat) in Spec Builder 6.6.0
    3) In Oracle B2B Console, created Document Type and Document Definition
    4) Created 2 Trading Partners : Our Organisation(Host) and MyPartner(Remote)
    5) My Partner is Sender and Our Organisation is Receiver
    6) Linked Document Type to both Trading Partners
    7) Created a Listening Channel
    8) Protocol of Listening Channel is Generic File
    9) Mentioned Folder Path and File Type : %From PARTY%_%TO PARTY%_%DOCUMENT TYPE NAME_%DOCUMENT REVISION%.dat
    10) Agrrement validated and deployed
    11)Checked option Transformation for Agreement
    12) In SOA Composite created a simple Asynchronous BPEL process
    13) BPEL process using a B2B Adapter is subscribed to Document Type(Purchase Order) operatioon Receive and Mode Default
    14) Using a simple Assiign activity to map payload
    15) BPEL then inoke a File Adapter service to write sme XML payload(picked from B2B fatre EDI transformed to XML) to a file
    Issue Faced:
    1) B2B could make oput Sender and Receiver Trading Partners
    2) B2B could make out the Agrrement
    3) B2B is picking up EDI file
    4) If Agreemnet has Transformation option selected, then B2B is givinng below Error:
    [oracle.soa.b2b.engine] [tid: weblogic.work.j2ee.J2EEWorkManager$WorkWithListener@182461f] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: 0000JILzvC2E0Va_xLp2iW1EzqZ_0000pg,0] [APP: soa-infra] [dcid: 162dbcacafdb4641:19e705e4:13495b34174:-7fd3-0000000000000070] java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: com.edifecs.xengine.xeobjects.XEHelper.createN2XNative()Lcom/edifecs/xengine/xeobjects/XEDataProc
    at com.edifecs.xengine.xeobjects.XEHelper.createN2XNative(Native Method)
    5) It is unable to transfer EDI payload to XML
    6) Checked payload in Wire Message : still showing EDI payload
    7) Due to this BPEL is facing issue since it is expecting XML payload
    8) In BPEL it is givimng Error: Index Out Of bound.. I guess may be due to EDI payload
    9) If transformation option unchecked in Agreement in B2B console then B2B working good but BPEl failing
    Options Tried:
    1) I Exported Repository,then purged design time data and Reimported and restarted Server and tested..not working
    2) I also created a Parser Scehma for Blank EDI document(that option I found in Spec Builder 6.6.0==>New Document-->Parser Schema(Blank EDI Document) and then placed that Parser Schema file(ECS file) in folder :
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\Weblogic\Oracle_SOA1\soa\thirdparty\edifecs\XEngine\config\schema
    and added an entry in XERegistry.xml
    <Item Name="SchemaFile">${XERoot}/config/schema/Spec2</Item>
    but not working..
    3) Checked namespace in XSd and WSDl for BPEL,they are correct
    Getting no clue how to resolve..Need help...
    Thank you...

  • Receive attachments with AS2 in Oracle B2B

    Is it possible to receive files (.doc, pdf etc..) as attachments when using the AS2 message protocol? If so, how to setup in Oracle B2B?
    Thanks for your help.
    Raja

    Anuj,
    As per your blog on sending attachments in ebMS, I setup the attachment.xsd and the corresponding xml file as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <Attachments xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" boundary="">
    <AttachmentPart>
    <Location>file:///home/rramanat/datafiles/EPCOD_PayableInvoice_PIDX1.2_Custom_123
    45.xml</Location>
    <Content-Type>
    <Top-Level-Type>application</Top-Level-Type>
    <Sub-Type>xml</Sub-Type>
    </Content-Type>
    <Content-Transfer-Encoding>8bit</Content-Transfer-Encoding>
    <Content-ID>1221</Content-ID>
    <Content-Description/>
    </AttachmentPart>
    </Attachments>
    The location of the actual attachment file has been specified as absolute path on the server on which the Oracle B2B is running.
    I put this attachment.xml file in a folder and configured B2B listener to pick up the file. The attachment.xml file gets picked up and transmitted to the Receiver Oracle B2B but I don't see the actual attached file in the attachments folder in the target system. The B2B property b2b.attachments.dir has been setup on the target Oracle B2B instance.
    Your help is appreciated.

  • How to configure inbound EDI invoice

    Hi all,
    Can any one provide me the steps to configure inbound edi invoice.
    Regards,
    Marella.

    Hi Arif, yes I did read that one.
    after reading that I got those doubts.
    In general, please help me to have a clear understanding in the following points.
    We have 4.6c.
    Please see my quries below and help me.
    SAP Tax codes
    Can an inbound MM invoice contain items belonging to different POs?
    Can the tax codes be different for different items in the same invoice?
    How to get tax codes for invoice items? Do we take these from the corresponding item in the PO? or from material master or from vendor master or some where else?
    What will be the tax code at the invoice header level?
    Regards,
    Marella.

  • How does B2B Adapter for Inbound operation for SOA Composite works

    Hai,
    I am new to B2B. can any one share samples or links or doc's on B2B Adapter for inbound operation (receive)?
    Can any one share B2B inbound channel configuration ?

    1. How does the above can be achieved using JMS protocol?Where would you like to pitch-in JMS? You want to receive inbound message at B2B over JMS or between SOA and B2B, you want to use JMS?
    For receiving inbound message at B2B over JMS, please create a non-internal listening channel at B2B. Make sure to set JMS headers -
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/user.1111/e10229/app_interface.htm#CACDFEAE
    For using JMS between, SOA and B2B, create a JMS channel in Host TP profile and add it in the inbound agreement (for inbound scenario). For outbound scenario, create an internal listening channel and make sure that from back-end, headers mentioned on above link, are being set.
    2. Will SOA Composite having B2B Adapter receive operation has first operation can get triggered automatically or not as soon as EDI----->XML message is found?Yes, it can be triggered. Provided the steps in your another thread.
    3. will B2B Adapter receive operation in SOA Composite will take EDI--------> xml msg as opaque?No, if while modelling B2B adapter, you selected a doc-def otherwise yes.

  • How to post data to Oracle B2B's httpReceiver using SOAP UI

    Hi All,
    I have successfully tested an inbound EDI X12 810 transaction by creating document version, type, definition. I have used an inbound file channel in this case to
    pick the file and the sender trading partner is dentified from the ISA and GS values as I have configured EDI Interchange ID and EDI Group ID at Remote trading
    partner profile level. This configuration is successfully working fine.
    Now my intention is to replace the inbound file channel with httpReceiver i.e. I just want to post 810 document to B2B's httpReceiver using SOAP UI instead of
    using inbound file channel. For this I have mentioned Generic Identifier as Acme under the profile tab of Remote trading partner (Note that Acme is my remote
    trading partner). And I am posting data to httpReceiver using SOAP UI by setting sender as Acme in the SOAP UI headers. But in the B2B reports, the transaction
    is erroring out as it is unable to identify sender, doc type and agreement.
    Please let me know is this the correct way of populating headers from SOAP UI? Is Sender only sufficient in the headers or any others required? Do I need to pass
    IP address also as header? If so, is it my machine IP address? Is that should be static IP compulsorily?

    Found an answer - hope this is what the first person was looking for.
    You can embedded the Apex code within HTML with the following key steps:
    1. Java scripts need to reference the correct URL paths. For example on apex.oracle.com they would be
    <script src="http://apex.oracle.com/i/javascript/htmldb_html_elements.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script src="http://apex.oracle.com/i/javascript/htmldb_get.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    2. The <form...> tag needs to have the DAD URL in it. Such as:
    <form action="http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/wwv_flow.accept" method="post" name="wwv_flow" id="wwvFlowForm" >
    Any other references need to point to the right URLs.
    Finally, the action that will occur after submission is defined by the Apex Form, so you will need to set the appropriate Branch action in the application, such as going back to the same URL currently on, etc.

  • Suggestion needed for processing Big Files in Oracle B2B

    Hi,
    We are doing a feasibility study for Using Oracle AS Integration B2B over TIBCO. We are presently using TIBCO for our B2B transactions. Now since my client company planning to Implement Fusion Middleware (Oracle ESB and Oracle BPEL), we are also looking at Oracle AS Integration B2B for B2B transactions (On other words we are planning to replace TIBCO by Oracle Integration B2B if possible).
    I am really concern about one thing that is receiving and processing any "BIG FILE" (15 MB of size) from trading partner.
    Present Scenario: One of our trading partner is sending Invoice documents in a single file and that file size can grow upto 15 MB of size. In our existing scenario when we receive such big files from trading partner (through TIBCO Business Connect - BC), Tibco BC works fine for 1 or 2 files but it crashes once it received multiple files of such size. What exactly happening is Whatever Memory that TIBCO BC is consuming to receive one such big file, are not getting released after processing and as a result TIBCO BC throws "OUT OF MEMORY" error after processing some files.
    My questions:
         1. How robust the Oracle AS Integration B2B is, in terms of processing such big files?
         2. Is there any upper limit in terms of size that Oracle AS Integration B2B can handle for receiving and processing data?
         3. What is the average time required to receive and process such big file? (Lets say we are talking about 15MB of size).
         4. Is there any documentation availble that talks about any such big files through Oracle B2B?
    Please let me know if you need more information.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Error while integrating E-biz with Oracle B2B

    I am trying to integrate Oracle apps with Oracle B2B. I have updated Transport Server Details : XML Gateway Inbound/XML Gateway Outbound with IP,user name,password and Sid. Then created an agreement with Internal Delivery Channel as XML Gateway Outbound and Responding Internal Delivery Channel as XML Gateway Inbound. But while validating the agreement it is showing an error as given below.
    AIP-16222: The transport parameter XML Gateway Inbound of trading partner ABC-Host must have no more than one protocol endpoint.
    AIP-16222: The transport parameter XML Gateway Outbound of trading partner ABC-Host must have no more than one protocol endpoint.
    I can see the transport parameter XML Gateway Outbound has an endpoint b2b.ECX_OUTBOUND and transport parameter XML Gateway Inbound has an endpoint b2b.ECX_INBOUND. I have not done any other setting/configurations. Is there anything else to be done?

    Protocol end-point and general end-point are two different things. Protocol end point is combination of IP, Port and End-point for a particular protocol.
    Generally this problem comes in delivery channel configuration. Make sure you are using the existing transport server configuration in case same IP and port is to be given in the configuration of new IDC for same protocol.
    It does not mean that you cannot use different end points. Still you can use different end points with existing transport server configuration.

  • Dispatcher count values for scheduling downtime in oracle b2b 11g

    Hi all,
    I would like to know if anyone has implemented scheduling in oracle b2b. Please share your suggestions.
    1) What should be the value for 'Outbound Dispatcher Count' & 'Inbound Dispatcher Count' in case of outbound & inbound transactions for large transactions. How do we define this value? Can you give some ratio for this value to this number of transactions? Currently we expect around 8000 messages to flow in span of two hours.
    2) What could be the performance issues that we can come across if any after we are done with this setup ?
    Thanks

    8000 messages in 2 hours is not a huge load. Please set the below values before configuring downtime -
    Outbound Dispatcher Count = 1
    Auto Stack Handler= true
    Auto Stack Handler Interval= 1
    'Inbound Dispatcher Count' is not used for downtime feature.
    There will be no impact on performance.
