Configuring XI - PCK communication

Hello,
I configure communication channel from XI 3.0 host to PCK host via XI protocol and I couldn't find following URL parameters:
   1. Host (I know the host)
   2. Port (I don't know where to look for it)
   3. Path prefix (I don't know where to look for it)
XI  is installed on <b>http://<xihost>:50000</b>
PCK is installed on <b>http://<pckhost>:52000</b>
No additional modification has been done on PCK host.
Does anybody know this configuration parameters or where to find this parameters?
May be it is something like
<b>http://<xihost>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry</b>?
Thank you in advance

Hello Stefan,
Thank you for your reply.
But I have already tried this URL before
and the service user already have had a role xi_af_receive in PCK.
But I have got the following exception:

  • How can I configure labview for communication with Modbus I/O?

i read a article about configureing Labview for communication with modbus I/O in NI developer zone, but it was written for Labview 6, how can I configure it with labview 7. it seems there are some difference. Thanks!

In both LabVIEW 6 and 7, you connect to modbus using Lookout Protocol Drivers (LPD) and then communicate to LPD using the tag engine of LabVIEW DSC or through DataSocket.

    Hi Experts,
I'm having this wierd issue.. Installed SharePoint like for the 10th time in my life or so. But this time when I was doing this "Configure SSL enabled communication" steps the Powershell window just hangs forever.
    PS C:\FASTSearch\installer\scripts> .\SecureFASTSearchConnector.ps1 -certPath "C

    -username "domain\user"
    Enter the certificate password: **********
    Installed certificate.
Updated acls on certificates private keys.
Nothing happens after that. It usually will say the below but it freezes for me.
Updated acls on certificates private keys.
Your FAST Search Connector has been setup to use certificate, restarting osearch14.
Connection to contentdistributor host:port successfully validated.
Until I restart the osearch14 manually from services. But after that the contentsource page is never opening up for me.

  • Can I configure Microsoft Office Communicator on E...

    Hi Guys,
Is there a way to configure Microsoft Office Communicator on my E71 like the way it is possible to configure Official mails to be pushed to E71 using the mFe tool?
My company has published the office communicator on an url. Theoretically It work like Outlook web access.
Any suggestions on this will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sujit

Sujit - Have you received any reply? I am also facing the same problem
Infact I am sorry to say but I just got my Nokia E71 and am terriably unhappy to learn that it's not able to syncronize my corporate emails. It just syncronizes the inbix and not the subfolders which make my brand new phone USELESS to me. I am not even able to install and access Microsoft Office Communicator.

  • XI to PCK communication via XI protocol

    Hello,
I try to perform the following communication task: configure receiver on XI to communicate with
    PCK via XI protocol.
In receiver configuration I have to input some properties and I don't know where to find them.
    They are URL properties:
        1. Port (the first property "host" I know)
        2. Path prefix
I don't know where to find them on the <pckhost>.
May be it is something like <b>http://<pckhost>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry</b>
because the same properties on <xihost> are
        1. Port <b>8000</b>
        2. Path prefix <b>"sap/xi/engine?type=entry"</b>
Does anybody know how to configure this properties or

  • How To Configure XI Receiver Communication Channel ?

    Hi Expert,
I have a Scenario wherein i  have 2 XI systems & i need to pass the messages between these 2 XI / PI system using XI Adapter. Can any body tell me how to configure the XI Adapter Step by Step. Is it required to Create the SM59 RFC destination with type H. Pl. Explain me in detailed.
    Regards
    Umesh

    Hi Umesh,
In creating XI receover communication channel, you have 2 options for Addressing Type:
    1. URL Address - no need to create RFC destination. You just have to specify the XI receiver host name, HTTP port, path (/sap/xi/engine?type=receiver), Authentication data (logon details for SAP Client number of the PI system).
    2. HTTP Destination - create RFC destination in SXMB_ADM and specify the RFC destination name in your receiver communication channel.
For SAP documentation, see this link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/e1/091640a991c742e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

  • VBAI Development Toolkit, Custom Plugin: How to get TCP data / connection ID configured in VBAI Communication Manager?

    Hello,
I would like to create a custom plugin using the VBAI Dev. Toolkit. I'm using VBAI 2010 with LabView 2010.
In this step I would like to send a TCP message over a TCP connection defined in VBAI Communication Manager. How can I get the open Connection ID? Or do I have to open the connection in the Plugin? In this case, how to get the defined TCP data from the Communication Manager?
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards,
    Yellow

Yes you could. You can even create a simple VBAI inspection that uses the TCP step and then migrate it to LabVIEW to see how VBAI opens the connection and uses it in the TCP step. It may be more involved if you want to allow the user to configure all the TCP settings (IP Address/port) and have all your custom steps use the same settings (maybe save them to an INI and have all steps use the same INI to get the settings).
    Hope this helps,
    Brad

  • XI configurator authorizaton without communication channels

I have a customer that would like to give full access to the Integration Directory for XI developers with one exception: prevent access to the communication channels.  Is this possible using authorization roles/profiles?
    Thank you,

    No.
I believe SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR is the role for the entire Integration Directory.

  • Configuring PCK

We are trying to set up PCK. We configured the sender party, service (abstract service) and sender agreement / receiver agreement in PCK.
We didn't create any colloboration agreements in integration server..(Though we set up the party/service in XI server)
We were expecting the message to fail with in the integration server, but our sender CC itself fails in adapter monitor with error,
<i>Error: ConfigException: No XI receiver agreement configured in PCK for XI message header</i>
Anybody know what we are missing? Is our expectation that message will go to integration server and fail there wrong?

What communication channel did you use for sender/receiver? The receiver cc must of type XI.
And you need party/service for the receiver as well as for the sender.

  • Dynamic Configuration for two file adapters communication channels

    Hello Experts!!!!!!
In one of the interface in my landscape, I am using two file adapters for creating two files with different names and at two different destination on F.T.P.
However the receiver service for both the communication channel are same.
In message mapping I am using multi mapping to create two files out a single message.
Now i have a requirement of changing file path and file name using dynamic configuration for both the comm channel.
When i doing dynamic coniguration for both the comm. channel. My interface is creating two files but with same name and on same destination which is set for second communication channel through dynamic configuration.
Here, I guess the second dynamic configuration is over writing the first dynamic configuration and hence creating two files with same name and at same destination.
Please suggest, if separate dynamic configuration for separate communication channel of same receiver service can be done?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amol

    Thanks for your prompt responses!!!!!
Is there any way, By which in dynamic configuration I can find out the communication channel name and then change its parameter.
I mean if iam using say comm. channel A and B.
Then in dynamic configuration for A, I will first take communication channel A by calling it and then change its path/file name.
and then do samething for comm. channel B in its dynamic conf.

    Amol

  • Dynamic Configuration of Mail receiver Communication Channel

    Hi,
like in /people/william.li/blog/2006/04/18/dynamic-configuration-of-some-communication-channel-parameters-using-message-mapping for http receiver CC, i am trying to do header customisation, with XHeaderName1 for mail header fields like content-type, content-disposition, but it doesn't works ...
in my mapping i've added :
    > (...)
    > DynamicConfigurationKey cDisposition = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http:/""/sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail", "XHeaderName1");+
    > dynaConf.put(cDisposition, "attachment;filename=myFile.txt");
    in Communication Channel ASMA i've added variable header : XHeaderName1 --> Content-Disposition
in monitoring i see that XHeaderName1 is filled with attachment;filename=myFile.txt
but in the mail send like this, this configuration has no effect
    Someone can help me ?
Edited by: MedAmine on Aug 19, 2009 3:20 PM

Only one standard mail header field can be influenced: this is indeed "Content-Disposition".
You have done halve way, the only thing you have missed is to set the additional parameter 'OMail.AddContentDisposition' to false within 'Advanced Mode'.
Have a look at this WiKi:
